Solution
A/N: Thank you all for the wonderful reviews, I'll try to make this one as good or better than 'Last Chance'. And as pointed out in many reviews, this is an Mpreg fic- Thank Sakuranzu. Sorry for the gloomy first chapter but as I always say, it's for the plot. This chapter will be a lot lighter.
ENJOY!

Naruto trudged into his office with a gloomy aura projecting from his slumped form. Ignoring the presence of the busty blonde, he moved behind his desk and slung himself haphazardly into the chair. He sat for a few minutes in silence, slouched in the chair with his arms dangling, before glancing over to Tsunade with a blank expression.
Tsunade sighed and stood from her chair. “Welcome back Gaki-sama. I covered for you while you were gone. I told the council you wanted to bury your daughter in Whirlpool because it was the ancestral home of your mother. I don’t think they bought it but they understood that you needed some time after your loss.” Naruto was no longer looking at her but simply staring blankly at the wall, Tsunade fought down the urge to bop him on the head and took a deep breath before continuing. “But now for the real problem. I did an exam on your wife.” Naruto’s head shot up and he sat a little straighter at the mention of the pink-haired girl. “The pregnancy was hard on her Naruto, physically as well as mentally. Her reproductive organs have been damaged, maybe beyond repair.”
“What are you saying Baa-chan?” he asked leaning his arms on the desk and looking intently at the other blonde.
“I’m saying that it is highly unlikely that Sakura will ever bear your children,” she said remorsefully.
Naruto sat slowly back, only to look more lost than before. He had finally found someone who was willing to have his kids and now she was unable to have any? It was like he had had something dangling right in front of his nose and the second he reached out to grab it, someone ripped it from his fingers.
Tsunade knew this was hurting but she had to make sure he was prepared for what these events might lead to. “The council wants to see you with children, Naruto.”
Naruto scoffed, “Well how are they going to get that? My wife is as good as barren.”
“You’re right, Sakura might never be able to carry a baby to term and she’s not mentally ready to try again. If the council gets wind of this, they might want you to remarry to insure the Uzumaki name.”
Naruto stood up abruptly and his chair clattered onto the floor. “I’m not leaving Sakura! I promised I wouldn’t leave her no matter what.”
A smile tugged on Tsunade’s lips as she watched the Hokage defend his wife. She had been worried that he might come to hate Sakura after the stunt she pulled with her pregnancy but apparently that was not so. He must honestly love his wife to be able to forgive her deceit. “There might be one more way.” Naruto calmed a bit and looked at her expectantly across the desk. “There is an old law that lets village leaders have more than one wife. If we could get the council to let us instate that here...”
“I have a problem with that,” Naruto interrupted, righting his chair and plopping down exasperated. “They wouldn’t want to share me with one more person and frankly, I don’t want to have to please three partners,” he said with a sigh.
Tsunade stared at him confused before her eyes widened and she screamed, “You’re cheating on Sakura?!”
Naruto held up his hands to keep her on her side of the desk. “No, um. She knows,” he explained with a blush. “We have an agreement.”
Tsunade stared blankly at the blushing Hokage before her eye started to twitch. “Sakura doesn’t have a problem with this?” she asked dubiously.
Naruto blushed deeper. “It was partly her idea. They decided it amongst themselves and informed me of it later,” he grumbled. “It was all decided before the wedding.”
Tsunade rubbed her temples and sat back down in her chair. She didn’t understand any of this, but if the Hokage’s wife was fine with it, what could she say about it? “Then, why don’t you take this other girl as your second wife after we get council approval,” she suggested, still a bit bewildered by the new information.
Naruto found an interesting dent in his desk and studied it intently as he mumbled, “Because he’s not a girl.”
Tsunade stared at her little brother in incomprehension before grasping what he meant. Shaking her head she scoffed under her breath, “Sasuke.”
Naruto looked up quickly and asked, “How did you...”
“Well, it makes since now how he never leaves your side. And Chiinu lives at the mansion.”
“How did you know Chiinu was Sasuke?” the Hokage asked surprised.
“Come on Gaki, it’s really not that hard to see. He really is the best choice for the job if your can trust him, which you obviously do, but not really the best to keep secret to anyone who knows him. He could at least change his hair style and who else has Sharingan?” Tsunade stood and walked back to the desk. “But is it really that wise to entrust your lover with your personal safety? What if an attack was to come when your guys are... Okay, let’s stop that train of thought,” she said closing her eyes and waving her hand as if trying to dash away a mental image.
Naruto chuckled a bit at her flailing before answering, “Don’t worry Baa-chan, it is the right choice. I trust Sasuke with my life.” Sighing he relaxed back into the chair, “But as for children, you can see there is no solution there.”
“Did you know,” a joyful voice filled the room. Both blondes sighed and looked toward the window as white spiky hair began to rise. “That there are frogs that can change their sex for procreation?” Naruto stared blankly at the Sanin as he tossed his legs over the windowsill.
Tsunade’s mouth crept into a smile and she asked, “Can you get one?” Jiraiya nodded and Tsunade’s face practically glowed. “With some research we might be able to solve this problem of yours Gaki,” she said while pacing. “Then we’d just have to worry about the council. The old law allowed for multiple spouses, but the same sex thing would be new.”
“If we can get your Uchiha knocked up you’d have some leverage,” Jiraiya laughed. “The council wants little Uzumakis and little Uchihas. You’d be killing two birds with one stone. Little Uchiha-Uzumakis, great combo.” Jiraiya smirked at Naruto, but then glanced worriedly at Tsunade. The young Hokage had not moved the entire time they were talking and was still staring wide-eyed out the window.
Tsunade walked up and laid a hand on his inert shoulder, “Naruto?”
He turned his head slowly to the elder blonde and croaked out, “Are you serious?”
Tsunade turned the shocked man toward her and said comfortingly, “Naruto, if this is too weird for you we should...”
“HOLY SHIT!” the Hokage yelled and jumped into the air with a wide smile on his face. “Sasuke could have my babies?!”
“It’s a possibility,” she said eyeing him wearily. “We’d have to do the research.”
“Well, get to researching!” he interrupted. Naruto began to pace his office as his grin threatened to split his face. “The council would defiantly let me marry him if he was pregnant with an Uzumaki, and they’d about kill for an Uchiha. Trust me,” he said stopping to wag his finger, “this is the only way they could ever get one.”
Jiraiya chuckled and threw an arm around the Hokage’s shoulder, “A wife and a lover under one roof, you’ve got some balls kid. And now you’re going to turn your male lover into a pregnant wife!” Jiraiya slapped his knee as he laughed heartily.
“Only if you two get to work!”; Naruto exclaimed impatiently as he pushed both Sanin toward the door. The door slammed at their backs and the two looked over at each other.
“Well, the prospective father was certainly excited,” Tsunade smiled.
Jiraiya smirked, “But what will the ‘mother’ think?” The pair laughed and made their way down the hall. After informing the ANBU he could retake his position at the office door, they departed for Tsunade’s lab.
Naruto was still pacing, happily lost in his thoughts, when he felt Hiroshi walk down the hall and resume his position by the office door. Naruto bolted to the door and ripped it open. Staring into the startled eyes of the rat-masked ANBU, he smiled brightly. “Hiroshi, I want you to go relieve Chiinu and take over watching my wife. Tell your Captain his presence is required.”
Hiroshi nodded dumbly. He was so entranced by the brilliant smile directed at him, that he didn’t notice Naruto had gone until he realized that the nose of his mask was nearly touching the door. Hiroshi shook his head and moved from the door with a smile behind his mask. Apparently the traitor hadn’t been able to poison the Hokage’s mind against him. He was charged with guarding the Hokage’s office this morning and now his wife. If only that damn Uchiha wasn’t around, he’d be Captain and Naruto would trust him above all others.
Hiroshi knocked on the Hokage’s apartment door and was almost instantly greeted with red eyes that matched the Captain’s mask. The eyes glare when they registered who had knocked on the door.
“Yes?” Chiinu clipped out harshly.
Hiroshi glared right back as he addressed his Captain, “Hokage-sama requires your presence. I’m to take over guarding his wife.”
Chiinu stepped aside to let the man enter but eyed him with suspicion. “This better be correct,” he threatened. “Or not even Naruto will stop me from dealing out punishment.” He flickered out of the room and Hiroshi stood glaring at the spot he had once occupied, with his hands balled into fists and shaking with rage.
“Just you wait Uchiha,” he spoke lowly. “I will be Captain.” Hiroshi stood in the sitting room, seething and trying to think of a way to be rid pompous traitor, when a weak voice called out.
“Sasuke?”
“Sasuke, she knows the Captain’s real identity?” Hiroshi mused as he made his way down the hall. “Well, I think people said they had been on the same genin team with Naruto before the Uchiha became a traitor.” Hiroshi entered the room and dodged to the left as a kunai flew toward his head.
“Who are you?” growled the indignant little bundle of blankets in the middle of the bed.
Hiroshi bowed while keeping his eyes trained on the aggressive female. “Sakura-sama. I am Hiroshi. Chiinu-san was called away by Hokage-sama and I was ordered to guard you in his absence.”
Sakura slowly lowered he next kunai as she craned her neck to look over the man by the door. He was dressed in ANBU gear, and each shoulder had the correct tattoo. Sakura huffed and settled back onto her pillows, he should have announced himself before he entered the room.
Hiroshi took her relaxed state as acceptance and moved to the chair by her bed. He sat down and noticed it was still warm; Chiinu must have been using it. He looked over the pink haired woman as she stared at the canopy. Hiroshi knew this wasn’t as much of a guarding job as it was tending to the bedridden woman.
“Can I get you anything, Sakura-sama?”
Sakura shook her head then turned to look at the rat masked man. “I don’t suppose you’ll take off that mask?” she asked doubtfully. The rat’s head shook. “Your going to be just about as tight lipped as the last one aren’t you?”
Hiroshi stiffened; he didn’t like to be compared to the traitor in anyway possible. “I can be a good conversational partner, Sakura-sama. What would you like to talk about?”
Sakura smiled slightly. “How long have you been in ANBU?”
“Two years. I was assigned just after your husband became Captain.” Sakura’s eyes widened a bit and Hiroshi realized that Naruto never told his wife he had been the ANBU Captain.
Sakura looked down at her blankets and tried to picture how someone as caring as her husband could possibly have been the ANBU Captain. She didn’t doubt his strength, as he was now Hokage, but she had always heard that ANBU took the most ruthless jobs.
“So... you’ve worked with my husband?” she asked hopefully.
The rat’s eyes smiled behind his mask. “I was his right had man,” he boasted as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Sakura smiled gently. This ANBU could be the key to understanding the enigma that was her husband.
