Chapter 2
She watched Tsunade walk out of the room with a look of contempt. Tsunade wouldn't back down; she was going to send news to the Sand village.
She sighed and only felt a slight burn in her chest. She hadn't told anyone about her memory returning. Kankuro, you dumb-ass she thought, even if it was an accident, it didn't explain how she ended up near Konoha. The poison paralyzed her, so she couldn't have walked there. Not to mention a shattered foot.
She looked down and wiggled her toes. Her foot had healed nicely. Now, if only her pelvis and ribs would do the same, she could get out of the hospital.

She was just thinking about how she was going to get her sandal fastened when she felt a presence at the door.
"Um...Temari...um...how are you feeling?” Hinata asked her.
"Like I feel out of a tree."
"Oh, I'm sorry. This is a bad time for you. I'll just go. Uh...can I help you with that?” Hinata asked pointing at her sandal.
"That would be awesome. And I'm sorry, I'm bitchy today."
"Shikamaru is due home this afternoon.” Hinata said fastening the strap and sitting down, "Maybe you're grouchy because you miss him."
"Yeah, I do miss him. He's gonna freak, when he finds out."
"He'll understand. He is a ninja too. Injuries happen are unfortunate, but they happen all too often."
"I gotta go to physical therapy. Help me walk there?"
"Sure.” Hinata said holding out her hand.

She laid down after therapy. As usual, the therapist kicked her ass, The duty nurse gave her a pain pill and she closed her eyes and waited for it to work.
She didn't mean to fall asleep.
"Temari-Chan."
She smiled as a hand stroked her face.
"Temari-Chan."
This dream rocks, she thought and snuggled deeper into the pillow.
"Temari-Chan, wake up." Shikamaru leaned down and kissed her lips.
Dammit she didn't wanna open her eyes. If she did, she would be back in the hospital again.
"My little Temari-Sama, if you open your eyes, you'll be happier."
Her eyes snapped open. "Shika-Kun! Oh my god! You're home.” she said trying to sit up. "How long have you been here? I didn't even mean to fall asleep. PT was a bitch today."
"Not long. Genma told me as soon as we hit the gate."
"You didn't go to Lady Hokage first?"
"Nope. Dad went to give the report, so I could see you. But damn, what the hell happened? You're a mess."
"You say the sweetest things to me.” she rolled her eyes at him, "You didn't go see your mom? She's gonna be pissed, you know."
"The way I figure it, you're scarier than my mom, so I came here."
"You're SO romantic, I think I'm gonna faint."
"Temari-Chan, really, what happened? No one seemed to know."
"Sakura and Naruto found me near the Konoha border. Last I remember, I was in earth country doing intel work.” she sighed and looked at him, "And I remember falling out of tree, and lemme tell ya, it was a drag."
She smiled at him; she hadn't seen him in over a month. Her fingers itched to reach up an let his hair down. He looked exhausted, like he hadn't slept in days.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed. "Let's take a walk. I'm supposed to anyway. You gotta help with the shoes though."
"How could I refuse an offer like that? Ugh, not a long walk, right?"
"Less than a kilometer, I promise."
