2 weeks later
Naruto sat between Gaara and Shikamaru.
"I don’t understand you." Gaara said to Shikamaru.
"I'm smart, but why rush though it. I have to go to collage. I don’t plan to do all that hard work then sit at home everyday until I turn 18."
"I never thought about it that way." Gaara blinked.
Naruto smiled, but stayed quiet.
"Why are you so quiet?" Gaara asked
"I'm tired that's all." Naruto yawned.
Shikamaru suddenly zoned out, looking away from Naruto and Gaara.
"Slut." Shikamaru growled.
Both Naruto and Gaara looked over to where Shikamaru was facing. Neji Hyuga was getting rubbed against by one of the school sluts.
"Neji." Gaara blinked in confusion.
Naruto only smiled. "Shikamaru has liked Neji since he started coming here."
Gaara nodded and looked at Shikamaru.
"Why don't you just go talk to him?" Gaara said to Shikamaru.
"Do you even know who he is?" Shikamaru asked.
Gaara rolled his eyes.
"He is in the same rank as Sasuke" Naruto answered.
“So? If you want him, you want him. I don’t see what your waiting for.” Gaara stated.
“If you wanna get your ass kicked for me, go asked. I think it’s a waste of time to go over there and get the answer that I know I’m going to get.”
“That would be?” Gaara questioned.
“No and a broken nose.”
Shikamaru only looked up at the ceiling.
Gaara looked behind him.
"Your brother and his friends are coming over here." Gaara said.
Naruto sighed, as he turn to see Sasuke coming over.
"You need to meet me after football practice." Sasuke said to Naruto, who only blinked and looked into his lap.
"Why?"
"Dad is planning a second honeymoon for mom and needs to talk to us." Sasuke answered.
Naruto nodded and turned back around.
"You wanna go out this weekend?" a male voice boomed from behind him.
Naruto jumped and turned back around.
A tall, brown hair boy stood. He had two red triangles, one on each cheek.
"Me?" Naruto said to the brown haired boy.
"Leave the kid alone." Neji Hyuga mumbled.
"I been wanting to asked him out. So you want to, Naruto?"
Naruto started to answer, but was cut off by Sasuke.
"No, he's doing something with me this weekend, right?" Sasuke said calmly, but fuming on the inside.
Naruto smiled sadly.
"Sorry." Naruto said.
"Its cool." the boy said "You know were to find me." Walking away with Neji and Sasuke.
"Who was that?" Gaara asked.
"Kiba and Neji. Both of them are on the team with my brother." Naruto answered.
Gaara nodded and then thought about how many times Naruto had been asked out since he had gotten here.
"Why don't you go out on dates with anybody? This is not the first time I saw someone asked you out."
Shikamaru sat up and looked at Naruto.
"He doesn't accept ANYONES affection." Shikamaru sighed and looked at Gaara. "His brother is very protective and scares off people."
Gaara gave Naruto a questioning look.
“It’s not like that. He just doesn’t think anyone is good enough for me.” Naruto answered.

That afternoon
Naruto sat in the stands finishing his homework and listening to his ipod.
Naruto looked up and watched Sasuke push though two guys trying to stop him.
Naruto could only wish that he was as good, as he played football then maybe he could go out on a date. Sasuke had planned their future together. He told Naruto what to do when he left. They were going to the same collage. Naruto was going to take collage courses when he left so that they would have the same classes together when he turned 18.
After graduating they would get jobs and forever have this ‘relationship’ or whatever the hell it was.
Naruto sighed as he saw the coach call in the players and give them a run though of what they needed to know for tomorrow.
Naruto began picking up his books and putting away his stuff. If Sasuke was in a hurry he didn’t want to deal with leaving something here.
“Hey.” a familiar voice came from behind him.
Naruto turned and looked at Kiba walk towards him.
“Do you know how cute you are?” Kiba said getting closer.
“I must be adorable, if you won’t leave me alone.” Naruto growled and tried to walk by him, but was stopped.
“Don’t be like that. I just want to ask why you said no or why your brother says no.”
Narutos mind went blank and he froze. Kiba only came closer. Naruto started to back up into a corner.
“Its okay, Naruto.” Kiba said a hint of something dangerous in his eyes.
“No.” Was all Naruto could get out.
When suddenly a red blur flew between him and Kiba.
Kiba flew over the railing.
“Naruto, you ok?”
Naruto stood completely still, clutching his books to his chest.
Gaara watched to see what Naruto would do.
Naruto looked into the sea green eyes of his hero. Gaara saved him from Kiba.
He was okay and it was because of Gaara.
“Naruto?” Gaara said letting the worry in his voice be heard.
Everything Naruto was holding fell to the ground as he ran into Gaaras arms, pushing himself in Gaaras chest.
“I’m okay.” Naruto said, but his shoulders were shaking.
Gaara didn’t argue. He wrapped his arms around Naruto, holding him close.
