Sitting across the room in silence, they just looked at one another in the candlelit room.

“Lee, what does this all mean?” Gai said in such a whisper it was barely audible.

“I don’t know,” Lee simply replied with a shrug breaking away from the eye contact. He couldn’t believe that he kissed Gai. They had sat for nearly an hour in an intertwined hug before they broke away to separate corners of the room.
