Chapter 2

Naruto saw Sasuke pull into the parking lot in his navy blue car and head straight for Neji, purpose in his step. Not only did he not say ‘hi’ to anyone else (he rarely said anything, but at least he acknowledged their presence; he didn’t even say hi to Shikamaru, and Shino, his closest friends), but he also led Neji way—far away—on the other side of the parking lot. Naruto’s thoughts raced through his head, the loudest being the most illogically incensed, jumping to conclusions (which was Naruto’s nature) shouting ‘oh, hell no!’

Was the icy prick interested in Neji? Had Sasuke finally decided to ‘move on’ as Naruto had told him to? But if so, wouldn’t he go out with a girl? Naruto was confused; he didn’t know what to think. He wanted to feel happy for Sasuke, if the raven really had moved on, but he couldn’t find it in himself.

‘It’s the best for both of us. He’ll remake the Uchiha clan with someone else and I... wouldn’t have gotten hurt if I wasn’t already in love with him.’

Naruto loved Hinata, he really did. But he couldn’t fool himself; he wasn’t in love with her. He’d told her just as much—but she didn’t hate him. She was still his girlfriend, saying that maybe in time he might learn to love her as he did Sasuke. He knew the time would never come and that he would always love that brooding bastard. Hinata had just told him to take his time. That was why he loved her: she was the kindest person he’d ever met and he never wanted to hurt her in any way.

“You’re my friend and all, but...are you insane? Besides would they even buy it?” Neji was a very calm person, but even a Hyuuga had his limits. He was itching to walk away right now, but as a stoic Hyuuga, emotions were a no-no.

“Of course they’ll buy it. You won’t even have to act gay...well most of the time anyway.” Neji raised a brow, wanting more clarification of that “most of the time” deal, but he couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that Sasuke—Uchiha Sasuke, stoic Mr. Ice Prince himself—was asking him to...

“That’s it, I’ve heard enough. If destiny want it, Hinata and I will be together, but I am not taking part in this…this scheme. You want to toy with and manipulate people’s emotions to get what you want. I never thought you were so sadistic.” With that, Neji began to walk away, his long hair swayed heavily against his back in a thick braid. Sasuke grabbed his arm and spun him to face him once more.

“You self righteous bastard. I will have Naruto; Hinata will be more than a bonus for you.” At Neji’s narrowed eyes he knew he’d crossed the line, so he thought quickly.

“Besides,” he said smirking, leaning in as a very wicked idea flitted to his mind and expanded. How hadn’t he thought of this before? He stared pointedly at Neji’s lips. The taller man stood frozen in shock, unknowing as how to react to Sasuke’s proximity. Taking advantage of this, Sasuke leaned in and touched his lips to the corner of Neji’s and saw with delight as the older man slowly licked his suddenly dry lips.
“You’re very hot you know.” He said and stepped closer, his body almost touching Neji’s. “I’ve always wondered what it would be like to kiss you.” It was a half-truth from his youth. It hadn’t crossed his mind in a long time…until now. Sasuke whispered the words sensually before pressing his lips fully against Neji’s.

Neji’s mouth opened in an ‘oh’ of surprise that Sasuke took advantage of. He let his tongue slip through Neji’s warm wet lips into his hot wet mouth where he tasted mint. Neji kissed him back on impulse, however he couldn’t stop the gasp that slipped past his lips when Sasuke’s tongue touched his.

Sasuke felt it too—like an electric shock of pleasure that ran through his body. He broke the kiss and looked up at Neji shocked. They stared at each other in, stunned, unable to believe what had happened. Yet they knew what they wanted. This time, the taller man kissed him, a torrid kiss that made his blood boil with excitement and a powerful feeling of desire. After what seemed like hours but was actually two minutes, Neji broke the kiss to let them breathe, resting his forehead against Sasuke’s.

“Holy shit.” Sasuke whispered astounded, breathing hard.
