Sakura startled slightly as a sudden round of loud bangs reverberated on her front door. Dropping her spoon back into her cereal, she cautiously approached the front room. Her body naturally assumed a fighting position before she slowly opened the door. Glaring back at her from outside the doorway were a pair of coal black eyes. “Sa-Sasuke. What are you doing here?”
He looked her up and down, “So what? First you erase my memory, now your gonna jump me?”
She bobbed her head back in surprise and confusion at his comment, but suddenly realized what he meant. She dropped her stance and let her body relax, “Sorry. I wasn’t sure who was pounding on my door this early in the morning.” She glanced behind the Uchiha for a moment, acknowledging Naruto’s presence. “What’s up?” She turned her attention back to the raven haired boy.
“My memory. What’d you do to it?”
“What?” Sakura once again sent him a look of confusion, “What are you talking about?”
“I already told him everything Sakura-chan.” Naruto butted in. “I told him about the technique we used on him.”
“WHAT?!” She smiled nervously at Sasuke and shot a glare at the blonde, “What’d you do that f-”
“Come on! When someone can’t remember the best sex of their life, you have to tell them the truth!”
Sakura’s eyes flitted open widely, “Wha…sex? Sasuke had sex with someone? Who?! I swear if it was that Ino pig, I’ll-”
“My sex life is not the issue at the moment.” Sasuke said coolly. “My memory, however is.”
Sakura looked away embarrassed. “Sorry…uh, come in.” She stepped aside so the two boys could enter her house. “I don’t understand. You keep talking about your memory. I didn’t do anything to your memory. The technique I used only released your deepest feelings. There’s no reason you shouldn’t remember.”
Sasuke looked around the room contemplating, “So how do we fix this then?”
Sakura pouted slightly, “I don’t see why you want to remember anyway. If it was Ino pig, there’s no way I’d want to remember.”
Sasuke squared off with Sakura and made his face frighteningly stern, “Sakura. These are my memories. I’ll decide what I want to do with them. And right now I would like them back so I can figure out where to go from there.”
Sakura swallowed hard and lowered her gaze, “H-hai…”
He stepped back from her and let his shoulders relax.
“But I… I don’t think I can fix it. I wouldn’t know where to begin.”
Sasuke cringed slightly, “So who can fix it?”
She thought for second and hesitated.
“Who?” Sasuke pressed.
“I… I think maybe Tsunade-sama could fix it, but if we tell her what I’ve done…”
The slender boy became quietly foreboding once again, “If that’s our only option, then that’s where we’re going. You made this mess, I expect you to fix it. It’s time you started acting like an adult and taking responsibility for your mistakes.”
Sakura didn’t respond as Sasuke turned to walk out the door. She glanced helplessly at the blonde who’d been silently observing their encounter, “He’s right. We have to fix this.”
She glanced away and headed for the door, “I know. I intend to.”

The busty ninja glared disappointedly at the three chounins before her. “What were you thinking Sakura? You have better sense than this. You know you’re going to have to be reprimanded for this of course. You used medical techniques for neither a medical emergency nor self defense. And you did it without letting the subject know! How could you be so irresponsible?” She took a deep breath. “I’ll finish this discussion with you later.” She shifted her attention from the pink haired girl on the verge of tears to the stoic boy standing off to the side, “So, you don’t remember anything from yesterday? Not even anything from before they used the technique?”
Sasuke considered the question, “I guess I remember getting up that morning and meeting Kakashi at the training site. But that’s it.”
“I see.” she crossed her arms over her chest and eyed the brunette.
“So why can’t he remember?” Naruto inquired. “Were his memories erased?”
“No. No I don’t think so.” She began to circle around Sasuke. “Memories are never really gone. Once they’ve been created they can only be suppressed. Unless some sort of trauma actually destroys the part of the brain that’s holding them.”
“Trauma?” Naruto furrowed his brow, “Would slamming his head repeatedly into a head board cause that kind of trauma?” Naruto asked this question with utmost sincerity.
Sasuke and Sakura choked suddenly while Tsunade turned to give Naruto a confused look, “No Naruto.” She shifted her eyes back to Sasuke who was now a slight pink color, “I don’t think that would be enough trauma to warrant memory loss.” Naruto let out a relieved sigh as Tsunade shook her head and headed over to her desk. “No, I think I know what did happen though. Memories are actually very closely tied with our emotions. For instance, when you remember something dramatic that happened in your life, you sometimes relive those feelings as though you were there again. So probably, when Sasuke’s deepest desires were unrepressed and he then went and actually acted them out, it overloaded his emotions, consequently short-circuiting his memories. That’s why this technique is only to be used by a supervising physician. To prevent accidents like this.” She glanced back over at Sakura as she spoke the last sentence. Sakura hung her head in shame yet again.
“So, what do we do about it?” Sasuke asked.
“I think I can fix it. I know of a technique that works similar to the one these two used on you. But instead of releasing your feelings, it unblocks your memories. Let me take a look through my scrolls and I’ll be right back.”
Tsunade strode out of the room, leaving the three chounins by themselves yet again. They stood in awkward silence.
“So, looks like she’ll be able to fix you.” Naruto chimed. “That’s good, right?”
Sasuke didn’t respond.
“I look, Sasuke, I… I don’t know what your reaction’s going to be when you get your memory back, but I just want you to know. I meant what I said last night.”
The brunette’s eyebrows perked up for a split second, then settled back down to their natural scowl.
Nothing more was said as the three ninja waited for their superior to return. After several minutes the door opened once again and Tsunade entered, a scroll in her hand. “I found it. Sasuke, if you would, take a seat please.”
Sasuke complied and sat in the chair. Tsunade made her way over to her desk and unrolled the scroll. “This is fairly straight forward, so it shouldn’t take but a minute. Ready?”
“Wait.” The older ninja looked up from the scroll and over at Sasuke. “Um… how does this work? Will I talk about what I’m remembering? Will I…act it out?”
“Don’t worry. It should just be like a dream to you. You’ll remember everything, but only you will know what you’re remembering. We’re just here to make sure it all goes smoothly.”
Sasuke relaxed slightly. “Ok.”
With that, Tsunade drew some characters on the scroll and focused her chakra into it. All three younger nins watched with anticipation. Finally, the older woman looked up from the scroll and at the black haired boy, “Release!” she yelled.
Sasuke suddenly felt very dizzy, as though he had been spinning in circles. The room became very fuzzy and then went black.
Slowly Sasuke opened his eyes again, just in time to dodge an attack from Kakashi. He fell to one knee, breathing hard.
The one-eyed Jounin smiled and walked over to the brunette, offering him a hand, “Good work out there today Sasuke. I think that’s enough training for today though.” he helped the boy to his feet.
“Hai.” Sasuke bowed and began to gather his things. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The two parted ways and Sasuke started back for home. He was really coming at me today. I need to strengthen my Sharingan. I almost didn’t see him a few times. All of sudden, Sasuke felt a strange sensation sweep over him. He paused for a moment, but wrote it off as exhaustion and continued heading home. Man, I’m beat. I need to get home and take a shower. A nice relaxing shower, where I can just daydream. Especially about that dobe. His sexy toned body. His golden hair glistening in the sun. His blue eyes making subtle glances at me whenever we fight. God I wish he were mine. Sasuke paused. What exactly am I afraid of anyway? That he’ll turn me down? I’m just being a coward. I’m acting weak. A slight spark of determination flitted in Sasuke’s eyes. Dammit, I’m gonna tell him right now. The Uchiha suddenly turned on his heel, making a beeline for the other boy’s house. I don’t know why I waited so long, Naruto, but I’m gonna make up for all that lost time right now.
