I would also like to thank Sexy Sesshy for giving a good review. To answer your question regarding why this story is not in the Naruto section, this is my first post, and I was having trouble uploading it, that and I couldn’t seem to find the Naruto Category to place it in...XP If anyone can let me know how to do that, then I will gladly post this in the Naruto section...XD Thanks.
Now on with the story!
Chapter 2
Sasuke awoke to the sounds of his cell phone singing Pink`s song `So What` and groaned inwardly. There is only one person that would be calling him this early in the morning.
“What do you want Itachi?” Sasuke all but growled out into his phone.
“Why are you always so cranky first thing in the morning little brother?” Itachi replied, trying hard to hide his amusement at having woken his brother up once again.
“Just tell me why you’re calling me this early.”
“I wanted to ask you why you left the club early last night, with the pretence of going home and getting a change of clothes.”
“I had left to get a change of clothes, however there was a small problem that I needed to take care of, that came up all of a sudden. Besides this club belongs to me alone, so what does it matter to you, you have your own businesses to worry about.”
“Unfortunately for you little brother you still have backing from Uchiha Corp for you club, so in the end everything is reported to me.”
“So basically you still have your watch dogs on me to make sure that I don’t somehow ruin the Uchiha name. Is this at father’s request?” At this point Sasuke was really getting pissed off at his brother. Their father and mother where dead and he was running the club just fine on his own, couldn’t Itachi just let him do as he pleased?
“You know that I worry about you Sasuke, and no it has nothing to do with father that I keep an eye on how your club is progressing. I was just wondering what had happened, because you are normally there till the early hours of the morning. You leaving early is not something that anyone expects to happen, so when it does, people take notice and start to worry.”
“Well as you can hear I am just fine, so you can stop bothering so early in the morning.”
“Alright little brother, I’ll leave you alone for now, but you are going to have to explain what happened.”
“Ya, whatever.” With that Sasuke hung up his phone, and tried to go back to sleep, the problem was that he couldn’t stop thinking about what had occurred the night before, which in essence is the reason he hadn’t returned to the club as he had promised to. With the thought of going back to sleep now impossible, he decided to get up, and check on his guest that was on his couch.
As he entered his living room, he expected to find the blond still passed out on the sofa from the alcohol he had consumed the night before, but to Sasuke’s surprise, not only was he not still passed out, he was in the kitchen finishing off the last little bit of breakfast that he was cooking. To say that the blonds cooking smelled good would have been an understatement, all he could do was stand there in the doorway of his kitchen and stare.
“Oh, did I wake you?” Naruto said when he finally noticed Sasuke standing in the doorway, wearing nothing but a loose pair of black silk pyjama bottoms, which left his whole upper body bare for the eyes to wander over, and Naruto’s eyes did just that. Sasuke was all pale creamy skin, and a nice flat stomach, and lots of nice looking muscle.
“Like what you see, Dobe?” Sasuke ask with a smirk when he had noticed that his guest was checking him out.
“Not a chance, Teme.” Naruto replied, and quickly turned around in order to hide the blush that had spread across his checks. He couldn’t believe that he had been checking out another guy, I mean as far as he knew, he was completely straight. All of his past relationships had been with girls, but he couldn’t deny the fact that the man, who had helped him the night before, was a very good looking guy.
“Hn.” Was Sasuke’s only reply as he took a seat at the kitchen table. “Well it certainly smells good, what did you make?”
“I just made some eggs, and bacon. Nothing special, I figured it was the least I could do, considering all the trouble I must have caused you last night.” Naruto replied as he walked over to the table with two plates of breakfast.
“What were you doing walking through the park alone, and not to mention as intoxicated as you were anyways?” Sasuke ask as he put the first bit of food into his mouth.
“I really can’t remember much of last night. I remember that I went out to the bar, but my reasons are my own, other than that I am not really sure what happened.” Naruto responded as he took a seat across from Sasuke.
“Well you almost ended up getting yourself raped! If I hadn’t of been there then you would have!” Sasuke almost started yelling at this point. He just couldn’t understand why anyone would want to drink to the point of not being able to remember anything. It really pissed him off too see, even if he did run a night club.
“You should have just let the guy do as he pleased; it’s the least I deserve.” Was Naruto’s mumbled response.
“What!?”
“I said you should have just let him!”
At this point both of them were yelling at each other, and neither of them could really figure out why they were so upset. It didn’t matter to Sasuke what happened to this idiot, but for some reason the thought that he might think he deserved to be treated in such a manner was troubling. It was at that point that Sasuke decided that he wasn’t just going to let the blond go so easily. He decided to change topics, to see if that would settle things back down.
“Where do you work Naruto?” Sasuke managed to ask a little calmer then he felt. This seemed to cause the blond to relax also.
“I don’t anymore, I just got fired.”
“Well then I guess we are both in luck then. I need a new bar tender, and you need a new job, so then what do you say, would you like to work for me?” Sasuke ask felling rather proud of himself. This way he could keep an eye on the blond, without it seeming like he was. He still couldn’t figure out why he had the sudden urge to want to protect the blond, that had really caused him nothing but trouble since he had picked him up off the street the night before, but he knew he had to do something.
“I still don’t see why you are doing all of this for me, but I guess I don’t have much options at the moment, I still need to pay my rent, so ya you got yourself a bar tender.” Naruto answered begrudgingly. Why was this guy helping him so much? He really didn’t believe that he deserved such kindness, but who was he to argue.
“Excellent, you will start tonight.”
A/N Ok so this chapter is maybe shorter than the last one, but hey, I have to try and keep things interesting...XD Hope you like this chapter, pls read and review.
