Ok so like I said on the last chapter I am really bad with updates, but here’s the good news, the first 5 chapters will be up within the next few days as long as I don’t stop typing...XD
Also just something to point out for my American readers, I live in Canada so my spelling is a little different on certain words, so pls bear with the little typos because my computer is set to the Canadian dictionary...sorry if this makes things a little weird for some but figured I should let you guys know...
On with the fic....
Chapter 2
“Get off of me!” screamed the blond as he sat bolt upright. As he sat there panting and trying to catch his breath, he looked around and realized that was laying in his own bed. He also realized that he was dry, and in his PJ bottoms.
“Was it all just some really fucked up dream?” he asked himself out loud, still reeling from everything.
“I wish it was, but unfortunately you’re not that lucky.” Came a familiar sounding voice from the direction of his bedroom door. He turned towards the sound, to see a tall, pale skinned man, with raven black hair that went to his chin in the front, and spiked in the back. The stranger entered the room, and walked towards the bed, with a glass in his hand.
“Glad to see you’re awake, I was starting to think that the werewolf had actually managed to hurt you.” He continued as he handed the glass of water to the blond.
“So it wasn’t a dream then. Damn! I always thought that werewolves only existed in stories and horror films.” He responded taking the glass and downing the contents. When he finished, he handed the glass back to the raven, then stood and headed towards his living room.
“Thank you for your help, my name is Naruto.” Said the blond as he entered the living room, and sat down on the couch.
“The names Sasuke.” Responded the raven as he came and sat beside the blond on the couch. It was the first time Sasuke had the chance to take a good look at the man he had saved. Naruto was slim, but toned, naturally tanned skin, blond spiky hair, and the most expressive blue eyes he had ever seen.
“How’d you know where to bring me?” Naruto questioned.
“After you passed out, I checked your wallet for a drivers licence so I could get your address. Figured it would be a good idea to get you home, instead of leaving you out in the rain, to either die of exposure, or be mugged.” Responded the raven calmly, as if saving people from werewolves was a normal, everyday occurrence.
“Well I owe you my life. If I’d known it was that behind me, I would have never slowed down to fight it.”
“You actually did the right thing, in confronting it.”
“What?” asked Naruto, quirking an eyebrow, as he turned to look at Sasuke for the first time during the conversation. He really didn’t want to admit it, even if it was just to himself, but he found Sasuke to be quite attractive, even if was a guy.
“Had you not slowed down to face him, then he would’ve followed to your apartment. At that point he would’ve had more than just you to go after. You could say that you are a hero, simply for turning and facing him.” Replied the raven, as he watched Naruto out of the corner of his eye.
In truth Sasuke had actually been tracking the blond over the last few months, not that he would ever admit to that. Even though he found the blond to be very attractive, that was not the reason that he had been following the blond. He had been ordered to protect him at all cost, and that it had to be done in secret so as not to scare the blond into hiding. It had taken them so long to find him the first place, that they weren’t willing to lose him. Sasuke didn’t know why Naruto was so important; after all he was just a soldier who followed his orders without question. Besides, considering the number of paranormal creatures that he had killed in the last few months that had been trying to get to the blond seated beside him, he knew that this individual was obviously important. Unfortunately he wasn’t fast enough to stop the werewolf from attacking him, but he was hardly to blame for that. If his partner had not kept him at her place for so long, he would have been able to stop the creature before it made contact.
The problem with Naruto knowing the truth was that it made him unpredictable, which meant that the plan needed to change in order to keep him safe, not to mention that now Sasuke had to explain things to him, that he wasn’t sure the blond was ready for yet. He was so going to kill the idiot pink haired harpy for ruining everything. She just couldn’t understand that he wasn’t interested in her, or any other girls for that matter. In fact he found pretty much all members of the female race to be the most annoying creatures in existence; even more so then the monster had normally had to kill.
“You’re probably right, but still I would’ve stayed in the dark about this, it just seems like too much.”
“It gets worse, werewolves are only the tip of the paranormal iceberg.”
“”You’re kidding, right? Please tell me you’re kidding.” Responded Naruto, starting to look pale once again.
“I wish I was. Please just hear me out, and please try not to pass out on me again.”
“I make no promises.”
“Alright, other than werewolves, there are also vampires, changelings, ghosts, poltergeists, witches, gnomes, and elves, just to name a few.” Sasuke noticed that Naruto had become more and more pale as each creature was named. He was glad he was sitting, so that he wouldn’t hurt himself if he fainted again.
“You going to be ok? I know it’s a lot to take in all at once, but you need to understand what’s out there.” Sasuke continued, while placing his hand on Naruto’s arm to stabilize him in case he did faint.
“I think I will, thanks.” Naruto responded, placing his hand over Sasuke’s. All of a sudden, an enormous jolt of electricity passed through both men, sending them both into darkness.
A/N Ok so this is chapter 2, hopefully I can get the rest up before I go back to work on Wednesday. As always pls R&R...XD
