I don't own Naruto nor do I make any profit....why would anyone think that Kishimoto was posting yaoi fanfiction of his characters on here....IN ENGLISH?!?
Chapter 2
Wow another chapter so quickly!! I don't know why I was so inspired to write, but the urge couldn't be ignored. I know this is a short chapter, but I hope it's good!! Hopefully I can post another chapter before Otakon!!
Chapter 2
----------
Through this world I’ve stumbled
So many times betrayed
Orochimaru was checking over the equipment Kabuto had set out. My mind wanted to panic, wanted for all of this to be over, but I wasn’t about to let nerves get to me. Taking a deep breath, I slowly released it through my mouth, calming my mind. Unfortunately this had gained the snake’s attention.
“Nervous Sasuke-kun?” I ignored him; a reaction Orochimaru would expect from me. He pushed the small metal cart aside and stepped up to the table next to me. I didn’t move, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of having affected me in any way. Slowly, he bent over me, peering right into my eyes. A wicked smile spread across his deformed features, him thinking that he had finally won his prize. “Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to take good care of your body.”
My hand flew to his neck, pushing some of my chakra through points in my fingers to briefly paralyze him. Fear quickly flashed over his eyes, but was readily replaced by shear ferocity. A smirk settled itself on my own face.
“I don’t think so. I’ve got bigger things than a power hungry old man to deal with.” I could feel his chakra struggle to reach the surface, to obey its master’s wishes, but I knew that he wouldn’t be able to control it in time to save himself. I activated my sharingan and pierced through his mind. Though I couldn’t effect what would happen, I could still witness the events unfold. I could feel Orochimaru pull in a sharp breath as a feeble ‘no’ escaped his lips.
What I saw wasn’t what I expected at all. Before me was a young Orochimaru, barely 6 years old if I were to hazard a guess. He looked like any other child, happily playing in what appeared to be a living room of some sort. I couldn’t sense any of the killing intent or insanity that I usually felt when I was around him. Suddenly, the little one’s head whipped up, a huge smile on his face. He got up quickly and ran towards a door, swinging it open with abandon. Behind the door was a much younger Third Hokage. The smile on little Orochimaru’s face only faltered for a moment, being replaced with an equally charming smile.
“Hokage-sama!! I thought you were mother and father, but it’s good to see you too!!” The little one quickly ran up to the man and hugged him fiercely. The Third dropped to his knees, embracing the child for all he was worth, burying his head in Orochimaru’s black hair. Quiet tears streaked down the man’s face, landing on the little one’s yukata. Orochimaru must have felt them, for he tried to pull back to look at the Third’s face.
“What’s wrong Hokage-sama?”The child questioned, innocence lacing his voice. The Third embraced Orochimaru tighter, clearly not ready to tell the child. “Hokage-sama?” Orochimaru questioned again, worry beginning to whisper into his voice.
“I’m sorry….I’m so sorry…..”Was all the Third could say for several seconds, confusion written on the young boy’s face. “I couldn’t save them, couldn’t get there in time….” The Hokage’s voice went silent then, unable to face Orochimaru. Panic started to filter through Orochimaru, his struggle to get out of the Hokage’s grip increased.
“Where’s Mother and Father? They went on a mission with you right? They should be back any minute, then you can tell the news to them!” Orochimaru pleaded, the Third finally releasing him.
“I’m sorry, but they’re not coming back.” The Hokage whispered. Fear mixed with the panic that was already coursing through the boy.
“No…they went on a mission with you. They’ll be back any minute, I’m sure of it. They’re ninja like you, so they can do anything….Don’t worry Hokage-sama, Mother and Fath….”
“THEY’RE DEAD OROCHIMARU!!” Sadness and shame washed through the Hokage’s system. This was the first time he had lost anyone on one of his missions. They had been ambushed, not ready for any sort of attack since they were only scouting the borders of the village. Before anyone could think, Orochimaru’s parents defended their Hokage, but their power was no match. The enemy ninja were assassins sent out to murder the Hokage, but after his two body guards had fallen, the Third’s wrath overtook him and obliterated the opposition. There was nothing he could do to save them, for he knew no medical jutsu.
Orochimaru backed away from the now slouching man, defeat written on his features. “No….that can’t be.” Grief overwhelmed the boy, him falling to his knees. “HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN THEY’RE NINJA? DIDN’T THEY HAVE JUTSU TO PROTECT THEMSELVES?!? DIDN’T YOU HAVE JUTSU TO PROTECT THEM?!?” He screamed at the Hokage. The man couldn’t answer the child’s questions, not wanting to face the breaking of this young boy. Silently, the Hokage stood, bringing Orochimaru into his arms. The child beat against his shoulder’s in anger as the Third turned to leave from the house. “WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME?!? I HAVE TO WAIT HERE FOR MOTHER AND FATHER!!!”
“You’re going to live with me now, there’s nothing here for you to wait for anymore.” The Hokage said quietly. He had to be strong for this child now, couldn’t afford for this child to suffer more than he had to. He had a duty to do this to honor the death of Orochimaru’s parents.
Orochimaru struggled harder. “NO YOU CAN’T!! I HAVE TO WAIT HERE!!! MOTHER!!! FATHER!!!!
---------------------------------
I pull myself away from Orochimaru, his older self crumpling to the floor. Tears streaked down his face; his eyes wide and unseeing. I had no idea that he had gone through something similar to myself. But that didn’t change what he had done afterward. I may have abandoned my village and betrayed Naruto, but I never killed thousands of people to get to my goals.
Getting off of the table, I step over the man and up to the metal cart. Delicately I pick up a scalpel and turn around. Crouching, I grab Orochimaru by the hair and place the blade at his throat. My hand whips it in a smooth cut and severs the artery in his neck. Orochimaru only gasps and gurgles for a little before his body goes limp. Not taking any chances, I step back a couple of paces and perform a fire-ball jutsu, getting rid of the body completely. I didn’t need him coming back for revenge.
I grab my shirt and pull it back on, wanting to get out of here as quickly as possible. Stepping out of the doorway, I spy Kabuto out of the corner of my eye. He stops dead in his tracks, trying to analyze the situation. “Which one are you?” He questions, his body tensed for his attack. A small smirk covers my face once again.
“Which one do you think I am?”
Any good? I hope so!! Again, please review! You can leave what you thought or ideas on how I could improve. See ya on the flip side!!
