Chapter 2: Sick and Twisted

Sakura grimaced at Karin’s noisy moans. They were too loud and as Suigetsu entered her over and over again it was starting to get annoying. Karin shook her head. “You don’t have to do that. Calling me every day is enough. You’re my best friend after all. I can’t allow you to fail your classes. If anything, I’ll sneak to your dorm on weekends. How does that sound?”

Sakura smiled and splashed the red headed girl with water. Karin giggled and splashed her back. They ended up getting water all over the bathroom floor but that didn’t really matter. Sakura’s new house was really big. It had about eight rooms with five bathrooms, fully furnished basement for entertainment, and a huge dining room. Sakura hated her new house but she had to wait until her transcripts were accepted by the boarding school in order to leave. She hardly saw Orochimaru since he was always working. Her mother was either out shopping or gossiping on the phone to her friends. Sakura was mostly left alone. Like she promised she called Karin every day but their conversations were short because it would be late at night. There have been a couple of times where her mother would buy takeout for her but it didn’t last long.

Her mother was more into money than she was her own daughter. Sakura was disgusted. This wasn’t a family. This wasn’t a dream home like she always wanted. Her mother married Orochimaru for the wrong reasons.

Sakura sat in the library, reading a book of wolves when Orochimaru suddenly walked in. He more like slinked his way over to her, like a snake. She closed her book and looked up at him with sharp emerald eyes.

“Yes?”

“The school has accepted you and you are to pack your things before tomorrow night. You leave to go to the Suna Academy at nine o clock.” He smiled.

“I have a question.” Sakura said boldly as she sat the book down on the coffee table in front of her.

“What is it?”

“Why did you marry my mother if it was not for love?”

Orochimaru looked at her blankly then. “You don’t think it was for love?”

“No. She didn’t marry you for love. That is quite obvious. My real question behind that one is what is your true motive? She doesn’t have money and she was drinking her life away when you met her. She was pretty a few years ago but not now. Greed has taken over her true face.”

Her stepfather smirked. “You’re more intelligent than what I truly thought.” He bent down to her height and licked the shell of her ear. Sakura shivered at the small sensation. “I’ll tell you when you’re older. Right now, you aren’t ready for the truth.”

He leaned back up and slinked away from her. Sakura felt her cheeks warm. He made her blush. She shook her head to try to rid herself from his touch. A simple touch was enough to overheat her body. “I would but I don’t know what he looks like.” Sakura said.

“Okay, he has bright spiky hair with burnt orange eyes. He’s really tall. He should be eighteen this year.”

“I’ll consider it.” Sakura smirked.

“Come on! Do it for me!” Karin whined over the phone.

“Fine. You owe me.”

“Yeah I know! I have to go. Suigetsu is horny again.”

Sakura snorted. “I don’t need to know that. Bye. I’ll call you the same time tomorrow.”

Karin laughed. “Goodnight.”

Sakura hung up her newly bought cell phone. Her mother decided to get her one before dinner today. It would be a great convenience because she’ll be able to call Karin without having to wait for her mother to get off the house phone. She hooked it up to the charger and laid back down into her bed. She had a long day tomorrow.

Sakura wasn’t expecting Suna to be seven hours away by car. There’s going to be no way she could sneak back home without letting her mother know. She sighed as they got closer to the dusty city. Suna Academy was a half an hour away from the city on the western side. Basically in the middle of nowhere and the only way to leave was when school was closed. There were surveillance cameras everywhere.

Sakura sank back in her seat once she saw the heavy black gates open and the three dorms came into view. The main school building sat in the middle of the three to make it easier to go to classes.

There were students of all ages moving about and some stopped to stare at the limousine. It only made her even more nervous. Her mother couldn’t be here with her because she had a shopping trip to go to with her friends. Orochimaru was at work, like usual so she was stuck by herself. She was given a map of the school and directions to her dorm room. She didn’t have a roommate which was a good thing.

Sakura stepped out with her three bags of luggage. She had to put her stuff away before she was to go to the office and get her schedule. People were looking at her weird as she struggled towards Gold Dorm. It was the most expensive dorm and was co-ed. Sapphire and Emerald Dorm was the least expensive. They were separated by boys and girls. The Sapphire building belonged to the boys and Emerald belonged to the girls.

Her room was on the sixth floor. It was a good thing there were elevators in almost every corner of the building. She flashed the security guard her Gold Dorm pass before going straight to the elevators. She took a deep breath. Her luggage wasn’t light. She had two rolling suitcases in one hand and the other she had to carry. Her mother repacked her bags once she realized she had old clothes. It didn’t make much sense since Suna Academy wore a uniform. It was sandy brown with a pale yellow and mattering on the dorm, you either had a green, gold, or blue ribbon.
She had a feeling that her life at Suna Academy is going to be long. Her dorm room number was 61G so hopefully it was close to the elevator. She pushed herself off once she got to her floor and struggled to her door. It was the third door on the right so it wasn’t that hard to find. She slid in her card key and was taken aback by the room.

It was far from a normal room. It had a small living room with a flat screen TV and couch next to a small kitchen with dark yellow counter tops, a mini refrigerator and stove was even in it, a washing machine and dryer were seen at the end of the small hallway with a queen sized bed inside the bedroom. There was a lot of closet space and from what the pamphlet said she stayed in this dorm until she graduated high school. She smiled and went to unpack her stuff. The office can wait. She wanted to relax a little bit before she went anywhere.
