“Another order,” Choji called out, raising his chopsticks as a waitress walked by. As he turned back to his food he caught the look on Ino’s face. “What?”
“That's your fifth helping. Haven't you had enough, Choji?”
“Ino,” Asuma warned.
“Sensei, I'm not saying that, but eating that much can't be healthy. We ate lunch only a few hours ago.”
Choji felt his face turn red with embarrassment as he looked down at his food. In the back of his head he heard a teasing voice from years ago. ‘You're always stuffing your face.’ It was an old memory, but he felt his eyes starting to tear up. Without saying a word he got up and left, leaving his latest portion only half eaten.
The door to the Inn’s room was a sliding one and slamming it shut was very unsatisfying. Turning, he walked into the bathroom and flicked on the light and stared at himself in the mirror. He didn't like to think about his appearance, but he had to admit, he was fat. He had a fat face, fat arms and just a fat body. Yeah, he was fat.
Choji hated that word. He told himself he had to be to use his family's techniques, but he knew that was only partly true. Under his father’s extra weight were muscles as hard as a rock. He wanted to be like that but he wasn't, and even if he was it wouldn't matter. Girls didn't like boys like him. Ino would never like him. He was ugly, she was beautiful. That was how things were and that was how they would always be.
His first crush had been on a girl when he was eight. Her name had been Ami. He had liked her mismatched hair, long on one side, short on the other. Choji had wanted her to like him so much. When he asked his mother what he should do, she had said maybe he should give her a flower because girls liked that.
So, he spent two days searching for the right flower after the Academy had let out. When he had found one he thought was good enough, he memorized where it was and picked it the next morning before running to the Academy. When he had presented it to her, she had laughed.
“You're ugly and you're always stuffing your face. Who would like you?”
Thinking about the memory was enough to make him upset, and thinking that Ino might think the same made it worse. When he was upset he always wanted to eat, but eating right now was the last thing he wanted to do. If he couldn't comfort himself with food, though, he did know one other way.
Pulling his pants down, he sat on the toilet and threw his scarf behind his back. The Partial Multi-Size Technique his family was known for allowed him to expand any part of his body, usually his hands and feet, but he had found another use for it. Doubling his member's length, he played with it absentmindedly until it became hard.
He started to stroke his now six inch erection without enthusiasm. He was just distracting himself, wanting the rush of hormones to soothe his emotions.

“Ino, did you have to say that?” Shikamaru said glaring at her.
“What? I'm supposed to think eating that much is healthy?” She knew she sounded defensive, but she really hadn't expected Choji to storm off like that. She had learned to avoid the F-word around her teammate, but that wasn't what she had been talking about this time.
“You know that isn't how he heard it. You know he is sensitive about his appearance.”
“Of course I know that,” Ino snapped. “I wasn't talking about his appearance, but eating like that can't be healthy.”
“Neither is skipping meals,” Shikamaru came back with.
“Hey, unlike you guys, we girls have to look after our figures.”
“That's enough, both of you.” Asuma interrupted. “Shikamaru it is good you're looking after your teammate, but Ino is also right that he should not be eating that much, especially when he's on a mission. A full belly can be just as hard to move on as an empty one, Ino.”
Ino had enough sense to flush at the gentle rebuke. Unlike Choji, she had only drunk a glass of water for dinner. That was just like her sensei, though. Praise and criticize in the same sentence.
“He only eats like this when he's nervous,” Shikamaru said trying to defend his friend, still. “I know it's not good for him, but it's a nervous habit. He hasn't been out of the village before.”
“That may be,” Asuma said as he started to feel for a cigarette, “but it's still a bad habit and we all need to work together to help him with it. After all, that's part of teamwork, helping each other. Still, Ino, you do need to choose your words better and learn to pick your battles.”
She opened her mouth to object but caught herself at the last instant. They were on a sort of low-level diplomatic mission, hired to carry a letter from one family to another. It was more of a status symbol for their client that they had been hired than any actual danger, that was why it was D- ranked mission. Still, when the client had criticized the way she was dressed, she had given him a piece of her mind which resulted in Asuma apologizing to the jerk.
Still, that situation was different. She had been angry with the client, but concerned for Choji. Although in the back of her mind, she had to admit that there was a part of her that thought he would look a lot better if he wasn't overweight. The boy really had a lot going for him. He was nice and sensitive, but in a way that was good for guys. He was not an obnoxious jerk like Naruto or a lazy ass like Shikamaru. He was no Sasuke, but some girl would be lucky to have him. Sighing, she stood.
“And where are you going,” Asuma asked.
Ino looked away to hide her slight blush. “I didn't mean to hurt his feelings so I'm going to apologize.”
“Go,” her sensei said taking a long drag on his cigarette.
She started down the hallway, trying to think what she would say. Without knocking, she slid the door open and quietly stepped into the room. She heard a sound from the right, and not thinking about the layout of the room, started to turn and say, “Cho…” she trailed off.
Her teammate had left the bathroom door open, and at first she thought he was using the toilet, but he had something in his hand and it took her a second to realize what it was. Her face turned crimson as her teammate eye’s met hers, they stared at each other for a second before both flew into motion. He tried to cover up and she beat a hasty retreat.
She slammed the door shut behind her and leaned against it to keep it shut. After another second passed, she slid open the door a fraction of an inch and called through the crack. “Sorry, I-I didn't mean to... um... I'm sorry. I'm glad you're on my team.” Her eyes became as wide as the plates they had been eating on as she realized how weird that sounded.
She slid the door shut and quickly started back down the hallway. After her mind recovered from the initial surprise, she had a very strange thought. Choji was big. She had never actually seen one of those erect before, but he was big. Then, she thought, was he big or did all boys his age look like that? She didn't know, but there was a part of her that was certainly curious to find out as she thought of her other teammate.
