Hidden Love

"Literature," Lee stated walking down the hall way with Naruto starting to chat with him not even realizing Gaara and Riku were going the same way. "Why? Come on Gaara you do not allow me to kiss you on the lips so I kiss your ear or cheek ok? I mean fuck, you have kissed that Naruto more than me. Stupid American always getting your attention.." Riku muttered out and pulled out a cigarette lighting it not really caring you were not supposed to smoke on school grounds, they were outside walking across campus, it was alright there to him once they were inside he would put it out.

Gaara growled and reached up to try and grab the cancer stick. "I don't want to kiss you since you always fucking smoke!" He said sounding annoyed. "Soo..what do you think of re-Gaara." Naruto said almost using the nickname he always used for Gaara. 'I wonder how long they will get along till Sakura does something to ruin it...' He thought trying not to frown.

"You would not kiss me anyways! You are always fucking acting like we are not dating half of the time!" Riku yelled and pulled the cigarette away putting it out. He ignored the people around them who were gossiping about the Goths arguing. "Um well he is a lot nicer then I thought he was before.." Lee commented to Naruto.

Gaara pulled his hood down lower and started walking faster wanting to have some space. "Just go to class.." He replied and bowed his head a little, they were always fighting like this.. "Yeah he has his moments...his not really a bad guy he is nice to his friends just mean to people who have given him a hard time or if they are jerks." Naruto explained and blinked when he heard Riku yell and glanced over his shoulder.

"Fine whatever Gaara! Je t'aime!" Riku yelled but in a harsh voice and spun around on his heel glaring at some cheerleaders near him. "Fuck off and mind your own business!" He yelled not caring he was out in the court yard and took off in almost a sprint since he was late to his next class. Meanwhile Lee in his next class was sitting in his assigned seat sighing to himself, pulling out the book they were supposed to be reading. He really did not like his Literature class much.

Gaara walked into the class and had to resist slamming the door behind him, he walked over to his seat that was next to Lee and sat down pulling off his backpack and starting to dig in it to find his notebook. Naruto who was sitting in the back of the class frowned and crossed his arms on the desk. 'Damn it Riku can't you go a day without upsetting him?' He thought and looked up when their teacher walked into the room.

Lee blinked and finally snapped out of the daze he usually held in this class, not really caring. Since when did Gaara sit next to him? Had he always been there and Lee just never noticed. "Hey are you ok..?" Lee asked in a whisper keeping quiet since the teacher was now talking.

"J-Just go back to ignoring me like you normally do.." Gaara whispered back and gripped his pen tightly as he started writing in his notebook. He was trying really hard to stay calm. Naruto laid his chin down on his arms and winced a little watching the redhead. 'I can't talk to him..maybe I could pass a note to him or something.' He thought and scribbled down a note on his paper and started folding it up.

Lee frowned, "I did not know you sit next to me.. I space out in the class. Come on.. you are not a bad guy and neither am I just tell me what is wrong..." Lee said and wrote in his calm neat cursive all his notes down.

"Psst...Bushy-Brows pass this to Gaara." Naruto said flicking the paper onto Lee's desk. "You don't really give a damn so don't t-try and pretend you do.." Gaara hissed and pulled his hood lower so it covered his eyes so Lee couldn't see them. 'Why of all the days for him to finely notice I sit next to him does it have to be a day I am upset? I have the worst fucking luck..' He thought and bit his lip.

"But.. I like helpin-" Lee was cut off when the paper hit the side of his head and he sighed grabbing it and handing it to Gaara. "Here Naruto wanted me to give this to you.." He murmured. He was actually a bit concerned about the smaller boy. Gaara always was upset but Lee realized now that he had reasons to be and was not just being the 'depressive gothic boy.'

Gaara took the paper and opened it reading over what was said. 'Why does he always ask me if I am gonna break up with Riku?' He thought and wrote back then handed it back to Lee not wanting to have to throw it over the older males head.

Lee sighed hating being the person to toss a note back and forth without knowing what it was about but he respected Gaara and Naruto's privacy tossing it back to him before their Teacher Kakashi could notice. "Look I am sorry I ignored you ok...?" Lee said trying to make immense.

"Whatever Lee...your just going to ignore me again in our other classes.." Gaara whispered back and started writing in his notebook again. Naruto was drumming his pen on his desk watching the two of them. 'It would be so nice if they were friends...maybe then Gaara wouldn't feel he had to hide himself from everyone...' Naruto thought and wrote down another note then balled it up and throw it to Lee hitting him in the head again.

Lee growled and looked back, "Naruto stop hitting me!" He yelled out in a whisper then turned back. Then he handed it to Gaara before finding his heart sink. They had more than two classes together?? Had he really never noticed it before?

Naruto laughed and waited for Lee to hand the paper ball to Gaara. The redhead had his head bowed however and was to busy writing to notice Lee being a living target for the crazy blond.

"Um.. Gaara-kun," Lee said and gently placed his hand on Gaara's shoulder to get his attention so he would take the paper ball. If Lee kept Naruto waiting the blond was sure to start tossing paper at him for no reason being impatient.

Gaara flinched from the touch and moved away nearly falling off his chair. "D-Don't touch me.." He said and looked up at him, his green eyes shining more in the light from outside. "Shh!" One of the girls said glaring at them.

Lee's mouth fell slightly agape looking at those beautiful green eyes and then he looked away. "Sorry.." He said to both Gaara and the girl and he held the paper out to Gaara.

Gaara looked down at the paper and took it opening it up. "Whatever..." He muttered and read over the paper, he frowned more and shot a glare back at the blond. 'Stop bugging me about Riku..he is the only one that likes me.' He wrote back and slide the paper onto Lee's desk so he could pass it to Naruto.

Lee finally got a little irritated and opened the note skimming over a few of the things before closing it quickly understanding it was a conversation he should not be part of and he flicked the paper back to Naruto. Kakashi started handing out papers while Lee tried to get Gaara to listen to him. "Hey... I really am sorry."

"Prove it..." Gaara muttered back and fell silent when their teacher set papers on their desks. Naruto was quickly reading the note then stuffed it into his pocket before Kakashi could notice. 'Did Lee really just read it?' Naruto thought with a sweat drop.

Lee scribbled his name down on the top of the paper and sighed. "How do you want me to prove that I am sorry..?" He asked Gaara not taking his eyes off the paper since he noticed it was a pre quiz of all they would be learning throughout the year.

"Since I don't really believe you are...it's not like anything is going to change..." Gaara replied and frowned down at his paper and sighed. 'I hate stuff like this..' He thought.

Lee finished his test easily and pushed it off to the side sighing. When he glanced over he noticed Gaara was just doodling on the side of his paper. 'Does he not get this stuff?' Then the bell rang and Lee stood up. "I do not need to change I am fine the way I am, you are the one being mean.." Lee said and left the class room not even bothering to say good bye to Naruto. Riku came in sighing and folded his arms. "You going to finish it now like you always do?" He asked looking off to the side. Yes they just got into a fight but he was always back right near Gaara.

Gaara glanced up at him then looked down at the paper and started filling in the answers getting everyone right. "Heh...this stuff is way too easy for me but I really don't want to go to a smart school." He said and stood up walking over and handing the paper to Kakashi. Naruto who was the only student to wait for Gaara grinned and picked up the redhead's notebook. "Alright! On to the next class!" He said cheerfully.

Riku pouted and once they were out in the hallway he wrapped his arms around Gaara's waist. "Ignorer la classe avec moi et nous permettons d'a l'amusement...pour une fois.." (Note: Skip class with me and let's have some fun...for once..)Riku whispered out into Gaara's ear wanting to make up for the little spat they had before.

Gaara blushed and elbowed his boyfriend. "R-Riku no..and I can't afford to skip this year." He replied awkwardly and Naruto gave a confused look. "Your the only one I know who understands French but can't speak it." The blond said to his best friend and opened his notebook turning to one of Gaara's doodle pages.

"Oh come on Gaara...t'aime.." RIku breathed out and pecked the redhead's cheek trying to seduce him. Riku was the master at doing that, he could get almost anyone wrapped around his finger and move them just how he wanted, there were just some exceptions, Gaara, Naruto and Lee. Everyone else instantly would just listen to him if he actually turned on his charm.

"R-Riku people are staring at us.." The redhead complained and tried to squirm out of his boyfriends arms. Naruto frowned looking at them and tried to keep looking at the drawings. "Looks like we got P.E next so we better hurry so we can change.." Naruto muttered glaring at the tall Goth.

Riku stuck his tongue out then held Gaara tighter still walking behind him so he was pressed to the younger boy. "Fine.. How about a deal then? Americans like those..." The green banged male stated and tried to kiss near Gaara's lips.

The redhead blinked and playfully pinched his boyfriends arm. "Stop trying stuff on me in the hallways I think your scaring people." Gaara said and Naruto rolled his eyes. "Well of course Riku is scaring people that's what he does best." Naruto said and smirked.

"Ouille!" (Note: Ow don't do that! ) Riku yelled and recoiled back from the pinch rubbing his arm not liking it. "Je suis allé juste suggérer qui si je gagne le jeu aujourd'hui dans le gymnase que vous me permettrez vraiment d'aller passé premièrement basé... " Riku muttered out to the redhead. (Note: I was just going to suggest if I win the match today in gym that you will let me get passed first base...")

"P-Pardon??" Gaara asked and Naruto grinned when the bell rang. "Oh looks like we are late lets go!" Naruto yelled grabbing Gaara's arm and quickly dragging him to the gym, he pulled him into the changing room and lead him over to one of the private rooms. "Hahaha I bet Riku is so pissed at me now. You gonna for once put on your sweats?" Naruto asked and Gaara shook his head. "I don't do anything what's the point." Gaara replied.

Riku growled and took off in a bolt after the blond to the locker room, slipping in before the teachers noticed. Lee was confused first seeing Naruto and Gaara run by then Riku run by but just shook his head and continued changing into his green shorts and white t-shirt. The French man on the other hand was glaring at the private doors, he knew Naruto brought Gaara back there but which one? Ugh there was no point in waiting, sighing Riku moved away and went to his locker to change.

When Naruto was finely done changing the blond and Gaara walked out of the changing room and out into the gym, Gaara sat in his spot on the bleachers and Naruto ran over to Gai their teacher. "Good morning Naruto! Having a youthful day?" Gai asked with a huge grin.

Lee came out of the locker room stretching his arms and blinked looking over at Gaara. "He really is in this class t-" "Hey friend!" Riku's voice called out and he wrapped an arm a little too tightly around Lee's neck. "Look I have noticed you are trying to be close to Gaara.. and listen.. I barely can stand Naruto being his friend.. So back the hell off ok?" Lee seemed confused and slipped out of Riku's arms. "No you look. I do not care whether I am or am not Gaara's friend. I just would like to be able to work cooperatively with him." Riku glared at Lee and the other male easily returned it, causing a spark in the air immediately.

"You two doing the whole rival thing again?" Naruto asked as he walked past them and waved at Gaara before bending down to tie his shoes. Gaara watched them for a moment then pulled a book out of his bag and a pencil and started drawing. "Your not going to join us again Gaara?" Gai called and the redhead shook his head, the teacher sighed then walked over to Lee patting him on the back. "Having a good day so far?" He asked grinning at his son.

Lee's mood immediately change and he grinned up at Gai, "Ehh not so good, but it can always get better!" He said starting to show how he really wanted to act. Riku scoffed and walked over to his side of the gym folding his arms. Looking over at Gaara he smiled to see he was drawing and relaxed somewhat.

Gai lifted a hand to mess up his sons hair and then walked into the middle of the gym grinning when the rest of the class walked in. "Alright! Today we get to vote on what to play, basketball or volleyball. Two hands up for volley and one hand up for basketball." Most of the class picked Volleyball and everyone was split up into teams. Gaara watched them play for a bit before starting to sketch out his friends.

Riku and Lee were on opposite sides of a net with three other boys and Naruto. However no one dared touch the ball but Lee and Riku. They were both hitting it back quickly, taking out the built up frustration into the game. Riku grinned to himself, happy that he was keeping up with Lee, but a glance over to Gaara changed that. Gaara normally doodled him or Naruto, but this time his eyes kept glancing up at Lee. Riku's heart sunk, why the hell would Gaara be sketching Lee?! They always fought and Lee never noticed him. Riku was starting to loose interest in the ball hitting it a little less angry, but one smack to the face with the ball and Lee laughing and saying 'sorry' changed that. His rage scale went right back up and he spiked the ball to Lee, it almost looked as if it was on fire and everyone around moved out of the way.

"Ok this is when I think high school is trying to kill me." Naruto said jumping out of the way of the ball not even trying to play now. Gaara looked a little confused with how crazy the game was and rolled his eyes going back to his drawing. 'What is with those two? Why do they always have to get like that during gym?' He thought and adjusted his hat.

Riku finally could not take anymore and stopped panting, yet Lee was still hyper and grinning widely acting like all he did was one jumping jack. "Aw already done Riku?" He asked not able to help himself and the French boy glared and coughed covering his mouth walking over to the bleachers so he could relax his breathing.

"You see..this happens cause you smoke to much." Gaara said smirking a little and blow a bit of the easier bits off his paper. Naruto walked over to Lee and playfully glomped him from behind. "Jeez Bushy-Brows take down a level your gonna end up breaking the ball." Naruto said laughing.

Lee laughed and looked over to Riku, "He just need to learn to relax and play a youthful game." Then he calmed down a little and picked up the ball. "Want to get back to the game?" Riku sighed and walked up to sit with Gaara. After Gym everyone had changed back and Riku had left since Gaara was ignoring him a bit too drawn into his artwork. "So Dad anything you need help with?" Lee asked.

"It's alright Lee! You need to get to your class." Gai said giving his son a bear hug then started to take down the nets. Gaara packed up his things then started walking down the bleachers only to gasp when he slipped and quickly grabbed onto the railing to catch himself but his backpack ended up falling down the steps then spilling out onto the floor. "Ugh! God damn it!" He growled and rubbed his stomach where the railing had hit him.

Lee blinked and knelt down starting to pile the things neatly to put them back into his pack but Lee froze seeing the corner of a drawing and went to take it out.
