Chapter Two
"W-who are you?" Naruto asked, trying to get the ghosts attention, but it disappeared through the wall yet again.
"Get out." A voice came through, repeating itself over and over in Naruto's mind. He couldn't figure out where it was coming from, but somehow he knew it was the spirit he had just seen.
Startled, Naruto hurried back to the bedroom he shared with his husband. He wouldn't tell Kiba about what had happened; he knew Kiba didn't believe in the paranormal the way he did. He sighed as he tried to get some sleep, but to no avail.
In the morning, Naruto found himself getting ready for yet another day of work, the events from the night before long forgotton. He brushed his unruly blonde hair trying to get it to cooperate, and finally he gave up on it when it would not comply. "Fine then, look horrible."
"You look fine, love." Kiba said as he wrapped his arms around the blonde's thin, lean waist, kissing his neck with his puckered lips. The brunette noticed a disturbance during the night, but he dismissed it as Naruto's anxiety about the move. They had been talking about this place for weeks and he wasn't going to let the blonde back out now.
"Mmmmhm...if you don't let me go, I'll be late for work, you know."
"I know that. Maybe I don't want you to go today and keep you all to myself," he said with a grin as he looked in the mirror whilst Naruto grabbed his clogne from the cabnit in the bathroom.
...The bathroom where the sixteen year old Uchiha committed suicide...
He shook the thought out of his head and continued getting ready. The thought of his house being haunted unnerved him, but he chose to ignore it. Nothing bad had happened, so he was all right with it being haunted, for now.
It was odd, ever since he was younger he had always thought it would be cool to live in a haunted house, but when he experienced it for real, Naruto wasn't sure what he thought about it anymore. After getting ready for work, the blonde told his family that he was leaving for the day, and left the home for work.
Kiba remained at the house, not feeling anything out of the ordinary as he prepared Matsuo for school. She hummed softly as he combed her hair and she smiled at him with bright, hopeful, emerald eyes. She reminded him so much of Sakura and he couldn't believe how big Matsuo had gotten.
Kiba smiled as Matsuo grinned. "Thanks, daddy! Time to go!" She said and ran to the door when she heard the bus outside the house. He laughed slightly and waved to her as she left the house. He had a day off to himself and decided to leave the home as well.
No one noticed the youth standing at the top of the stairs in the home, watcfhing them as they got ready for their day.
Later that afternoon, Naruto returned home to find the lamp smashed on the floor, and several plates stroon about the house, also smashed into pieces. The blonde gasped and ran around the house screaming for his family to respond. Worried about Matsuo, he headed towards her bedroom and sighed when he found nothing was stolen or broken.
However, he walked down the stairs and observed the mess on his floor and living room. He knew instantly that it was Sasuke's ghost that was causing all of this to happen, but he didn't know how to respond. He narrowed his eyes at the mess in front of him, wishing he could demand the bastard to clean it up the way he made the mess.
That wasn't possible, though, because he was a ghost. The blonde walked over to the mess and sighed as he began to pick up the glass. That's when he heard the stomping noises. He could hear someone talking, mumbling, in the other room.
"Go away! Stop it!" He said, and curled up next to the corner of the room and rocked himself until Kiba finally came home.
Kiba rushed inside when he heard the screaming, thinking that something could be wrong. He quickly put Matsuo down when he got inside "Don't move, Matsuo," he told her firmly and she whinned, screaming when she saw cuts on Naruto's arms. "I wanna die. I can't take this anymore, Kiba! H-he's everywhere I have to leave! I can't live in this place anymore!"
"Naruto! Naruto! Get ahold of yourself!" Kiba said as he embraced his lover, trying to calm him down. "Shhh, baby, shhh. Haven't I told you, there's no such thing as ghosts? They don't exist, it was nothing." He said and rocked the blonde.
"But, Kiba! He was here. I saw him. I saw him last night, and...today..." he trailed off.
"What happened?" he asked, looking at the mess of plates scattered about the house.
"I don't know. I came home and it was like this. No one else was here. I told you something weird was going to happen here!" He whimpered, carrying on and giving Kiba nothing but a headache.
"Why don't you go take a warm bath and I'll get this cleaned up. You're shaken up as it is." Kiba asked him, and Naruto nodded, "Thank you." he said, kissing his husband as he walked up to the bathroom.
"I won't think about Sasuke...I won't think about Sasuke...Huh?" Naruto said, looking over at the picture in the bathroom. It was a picture of a family that once lived here. A husband, a wife, an older brother, and the younger brother. He looked to be about sixteen with black spiked hair in the shape of a duck's butt with a black shirt and tripp pants on.
Was this the boy that committed suicide in the house? What was the picture doing here in the bathroom? Did Sasuke wish to communicate with him?
"You're not too bright, are you, kid?" he asked, appearing on the counter in the bathroom, in front of Naruto. Naruto gasped as he covered himself up.
"Oh, please. I've seen better." Sasuke said cockily as he crossed his arms over his pale chest. He looked like a normal human being except he wasn't actually there. He wasn't real; he was a ghost. So then, why was he talking to him right now?
It didn't make any sense. The raven hadn't spoken to him before now so why start now? Why when he was alone and not when someone else was here? Why did he have to scare him so much?
Dark obsidian hues stared into deep cerulean ones as he sat there, frowning at the blonde. He obviously wasn't happy about something, based on the mess in the hallway downstairs. This was -his- home. His parents and brother had moved on, but Sasuke remained for reasons he couldn't explain at the moment.
He was trapped. Something was keeping him here. He needed Naruto's help for that. Sasuke narrowed his eyes, making Naruto feel unnerved as he sat across from him in the bathtub, letting the bath water fill the tub up.
"Gee, thanks. What do you want, anyway? You know you're not supposed to be here, so why are you here?" Naruto asked, getting nosey, and Sasuke didn't like it. He was almost tempted to leave again, but he couldn't. He needed to ask Naruto for help.
"I can't leave."
"Why?" Naruto asked, eyes narrowing. He would fight for this home if he had to. There was no way he was going to let some dead kid have it. He paid good money for this place!
"I'm stuck and I need your help." He said, and a loud noise could be heard in the house and Sasuke's eyes widened moments before he disappeared again.
"Wait! Help with what!?" He asked, and sighed as he got out of the bathtub, unable to stand being in that room any longer.
