Recovering Sasuke

Hey guys, I’m bk for the second instalment, despite only having one review.

Thanks to Misatos PenPen for her review despite not being a sasu/naru fan I appreciate you taking your time to put pen to paper, as it were. And if u are reading this second instalment, I hope it lives up to whatever inspired you to review.

Last time:

Another thing she had noticed was the constant red hue to his chakra now. She knew before that had only happened when his was exhausted and he had tapped into the kyuubi’s chakra to finish the fight.  She had a feeling that this was only going to end up one of two ways. Sasuke back and in Naruto's arms or Naruto somewhere in a forest dead, by his or someone else’s hand. And she feared the day that would come.

Chapter 1: Sasuke’s return

Another year passed and Sakura no longer even saw her blonde friend. It had been a long time since she could even keep up with up, now, he was in clear running to take over from Tsunade when the time came. If he hadn’t died by then.

It was one particularly forebodingly stormy day, one might say it was in the air almost, that something happened. Sakura was on gate medical staff when she saw Naruto’s spun gold hair glinting in the flashes of lightning, but as he drew closer she could see dark hair glinting royal blue also. “It can’t be.”

She all but muttered to herself, she was pretty sure she was the only one who had noticed the arrival the two leaf ninja. She watched as Naruto stumbled closer, it was only when he pitched forward did she come out of the daze the sight had put her in to help. Grabbing Sasuke from his shoulders she laid him on the floor, her medinin training kicking in automatically making sure was still alive and could make it to the village’s hospital. When she was satisfied with Sasuke she looked up at Naruto.

The sight shocked her. His shirt was shredded and hanging from his trousers, the seal that she had once caught a glimpse of has disappeared, but that wasn’t what struck her the most. He had bruises and gashes covering most of his torso and what they didn’t cover the scars did.

She watched as he collapsed to his knees, her hand automatically going to his shoulders to catch him. He winced letting her no something else was amiss with his injuries; she wanted an explanation but would have to wait, “let Sasuke know I love him, Sakura.”

And with that Naruto’s eyes closed and he was lost to her, she called out for help, she had the two ninja who answered her call lift Naruto and carry him to the hospital while she followed with Sasuke on her back. He didn’t look hurt just passed out. She had no idea how this was going to turn out. She hoped for the better.

Tsunade was waiting for them when they arrived and immediately took control of Naruto, quickly tossing over her shoulder as she hurried away that Sakura was to deal with Sasuke. They were both in for a long night, she wagered.
