Authors Note: I apologize for any confusion with my authors note. To sum it up, I'm going to finish the SasuNaru Arc and then rewrite half the story for a NejiNaru and then GaaraNaru Arc. It sounds like hard work but I'm up to the challenge and it's not as hard as I thought it would be. Thank my cuz for the idea. Chapter Twenty One
Jouney To Sunagakure

Akina crossed her arms with a deadly glare crossing her features. As she and the other genin hung bound upside down from a grand tree, the others had relaxed for a short but necessary break. They had felt the wrath of Uzumaki Naruto, and lived to tell the tale.

"And let THAT be a lesson to you all,"Naruto dusted off his hands and placed them fisted on his hips with a satifyied fox grin upon his face.

"THIS ISN'T FAIR UZUMAKI-SENSEI!"cried out Aiji as she swung back and forth from momentum that hadn't faded from when she struggled. She had little swirlies for eyes.

"Allow me to teach you a lesson in life. It isn't fair,"Naruto stated.

"UCHIHA-SENSEI! Can't you help us out a LITTLE BIT?!"Shiro requested, attempting to wriggled out of the chakra rope bindings. Sasuke looked up from the apple he was eating, shrugged and said, "Nope."

"WHY NOT!"Akina exploded, suddenly wriggling around with an all knew vigor, eyes turning deadlier than before and mouth exploding with curses that flew around everywhere. "GOD DAMN LAZY BASTARD SENSEI!"

Shiro and Yuki were used to Akina's, for lack of better word, fiesty-ness. It wasn't unusual to see the young girl swearing obscenities towards Sasuke, especially when they're training. She was a fierce girl, but even so, Shiro and Yuki who were bound back to back, shied away fearing the wrath of her.

Sasuke chuckled, obviously amused. It was a Naruto-esque attitude that she seemed to portray with hints of Sakura's temper.

It wasn't long before she whined with a pout and stopped struggling. "I SWEAR REVENGE!"she shouted.

"Yeah yeah,"Naruto waved off her comment.

"GAAAAHHH!"

It was late.

The genin were half dead with sleep, mumbling stuff noncoherently that made no sense what-so-ever. Neji had tilted his head back and noticed Yuki carrying Aiji on his back, who simply blushed lightly and mumbled something in his ear saying, "You don't have to do this, I can walk."

He tapped Naruto's shoulder, which in turn gained the attention of both he and Sasuke. "Your students are tired."

The two sensei turned their head backs to notice the surroundings behind them. It had been quite quiet for a while, and judging by the position of the cresent moon overhead, it was nearing possibly two in the morning.

Kakashi was reading one of his perverted books, Kurenai had yawned slightly but otherwise had said not too much during the entire trip. Sakura and Ino, who had stolen the deck of cards from the genin boys earlier, were playing a rather boring game of Go-Fish. Yuki seemed content, despite the time, showing no hints of being tired, unlike the girl upon his back who simply snuggled into his shoulder, creating a faint blush from the other ninja.

Akina and Azusa were slouched in their sluggish walks, while Riho and Shiro went to shining their kunai just out of raw boredom.

Gaara paused in his walk and turned slightly with a tilted head. In turn, everyone following the Kazekage stopped. "You can rest here, we'll continue in the morning."

Grateful for a chance to sleep, the genin each cracked a smile. Yuki allowed Aiji to slowly stand once again. She yawned in response causing the silent boy to yawn as well.

Sasuke cursed how yawns were contagious and yawned himself. "Ne, Naruto, we should rest as well." He flashed a light grin.

"Yeah, I guess,"stretched Naruto.

Kakashi popped up from behind them. "Now now! No funny business, we don't want to scar the kiddies, eh Naruto?" Naruto buried his blushing face in his hands and let out a groan.

"Stop reminding me!"Naruto cried out.

"Kakashi-san, leave the boys alone,"Kurenai scolded. "You're one to talk about funny business anyways." Kakashi flashed a grin through his mask with a crinkled eye.

"Goodnight!"

Neji tossed down his bag of supplies and pulled out a sleeping bag. Beside him, Gaara leaned against a tree, crossing his arms and closing his eyes, a look of relaxation crossing his face.

"I thought you couldn't sleep,"Neji stated looking up at Gaara. The redhead shrugged.

"I can daze off and meditate,"Gaara replied. Neji mouthed an 'O', and fumbled around in his bag for something, bringing the attention of Gaara. "What're you doing?"

"Here,"Neji stated handing Gaara a blanket. "At least you can stay warm, or comfortable." Gaara smiled and replied a kind, "Thank You."

"No problem,"Neji replied, wrapping himself into his sleeping bag. With a yawn he closed his white eyes.

Sasuke and Naruto set up sleeping bags beside eachother before Kakashi walked over with his own sleeping bag.

He plopped it right in the middle separating the two lovers.

"Hey!"protested Sasuke.

"I do this for Naruto's sake,"Kakashi stated, laying atop of the blanket. "He might not appreciate being molested in the middle of the night."

Naruto grinned and Sasuke stuck out a playful tounge to the two men. "Not fair,"he replied.

Kurenai laid her bag by Ino and Sakura, who packed the deck of cards away in the box before resting within their rather comfortable looking sleeping bags complete with extra insulation.

"G'night ladies,"Ino flashed a little grin before plopping her head down upon the built in pillow.

"Sweet dreams,"Sakura yawned. Kurenai made a noise of approval before dozing away.

Yuki shyly looked at Aiji. "May I sleep by you tonight, Aiji-chan?" Aiji flashed a smile and nodded, patting the ground beside her. Akina planted herself beside Aiji and Riho beside her.

Azusa and Shiro took the vacant spot between Neji and Sasuke, not even saying a thing but immediately tucking themselves in.

"See you all in the morning,"Azusa yawned loudly.

"Yuki-kun, are you sure you can keep warm in a light bag?"Aiji asked in a hushed whisper.

Yuki nodded.

"Here,"offered Aiji, unzipping hers to a full blanket and then unzipping Yuki's. She placed Yuki's on the ground and hers ontop to make a full blanket. She patted a side and signalled Yuki to lay down.

He was beyond flushed, and laid himself down into the blanket. Aiji smiled and pulled the blanket over them. Yuki's body stiffened slightly as Aiji snuggled beside him.

"Night,"she whispered. He eventually relaxed, although that blush didn't leave him.

Kakashi gave a bright smile and leaned over towards Sasuke. "I think we're seeing a future marriage in the making."

"Kakashi, go to sleep,"Sasuke smiled with a sigh.

Naruto, Sasuke, Neji and Gaara were the first to wake. Although Gaara would be technically the first since he never really slept in the first place...

Naruto and Sasuke noticed how their beloved students slept. They were quite lucky that they were on a mission and not back in Konoha, for both sensei's, the Kazekage and the Byakugan user knew that Aiji's elder brother Akio would have skinned poor Yuki alive by now should he ever find out.

Yuki laid on his back, looking rather relaxed, while he held Aiji in his arms. She snuggled against his chest mumbling something.

"Should we uh...separate them from now on?"Sasuke asked. "We wouldn't want a pregnancy or anything. Akio-san would massacre us."

Naruto bopped Sasuke in the head. "Sasuke! Not everyone who sleeps together has sex together!"

With a whine, Sasuke nursed the bump on his head, while Neji faught back the urge to laugh.

"Hey, what's all the noise about,"grunted Sakura, pulling herself up out of her sleeping bag. "Are we leaving?"

"Yes, we still have a good way to walk yet,"Gaara replied. Sakura reached tiredly into her bag, and pulled out a bottle of water and a bar of soap.

Neji raised an eyebrow.

"I wash my face every morning,"Sakura said. "To prevent oil buildup. Oy, Ino-pig, wake up."

Ino swatted Sakuras hand away from her, and turned her face into her pillow. Kurenai's crimson gaze began to slowly open.

"Should we wake them yet?"questioned Kakashi to Sasuke and Naruto, as the silver haired man pointed to the genin. Akina all sprawled, Riho who hadn't moved the entire night to switch position, Azusa in a fetal position, Shiro upside down from where he had originall slept, and the two young love-birds within eachothers arms.

"HEY! WAKE UP NOWWWWWW!"

Cringing at the volume of Naruto's voice, Sasuke and Kakashi noted how high the young can jump when suprised. Akina attatched herself to the tree, Riho attatching herself to Akina's belt. Azusa and Shiro fell dead from suprise while Yuki and Aiji immediately unpocketed weapons: Yuki a shuriken, Aiji her katana.

After two seconds of shock, realization soon dawned upon the group.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!"Akina shouted out, letting go of the tree and landing on the ground.

"It's time to wake up,"Naruto chirped.

"YOU DO NOT WAKE UP A PERSON BY SCREAMING UZUMAKI-SENSEI!"Riho protested. "You kille Azusa and Shiro!"

Pointing towards the boys whose hearts literally stopped, Naruto smiled sheepishly. "They'll be fine."

"WHAT IS WITH YOU SENSEI'S?!"Akina threw her hands in the air out of disbelief.

"Come on girls,"Kurenai instructed. Akina, Aiji and Riho followed as Azusa, Shiro and Yuki watched them walk away.

"Sometimes I hate you Uzumaki-sensei,"mumbled Azusa.

"I know,"chirped Naruto.

"Gather your stuff, we'll be leaving soon,"Sasuke instructed.

Kakashi and Neji walked off, having to go to the bathroom just as Sakura returned. Ino who had awakened finally, poked the pink haired girl in the calf of her leg.

"Oy, forehead girl, lemme use your soap,"Ino yawned.

"You mean you didn't bring your own?"Sakura asked.

"I knew you would bring yours,"Ino replied, standing up and stretching.

"Here, just don't stink it up with your pig scent,"Sakura smirked.

"Shove it forehead,"Ino grumbled.

She was definately not a morning person.

Sunagakure never looked so good to the Konoha ninja's, who after many hours of walking since their awakening, had grown quite spiteful of travel.

It was around mid-afternoon, the streets were bustling with life. The villagers waved friendly hellos to the Konoha allies, most of them bowed to the Kazekage, who returned an emotionless expression.

"So, uh, where' we headin'?"Sakura asked, looking around the village which indeed had grown quite beautiful since her last 'visit'.

"We're going to the Kazekage's office to be briefed on Post details. Then we're allowed the rest of the day to relax,"Kakashi stated, nose buried in his book once again.

"Do you ever put that thing down,"Ino asked.

Kakashi looked hurt and cradled the book close to him. "That's mean. No she didn't mean it baby!"

"He's cooing a book,"Ino replied. Kurenai sighed. "He loves those Icha Icha books."

"What's so good about them anyways?"Ino asked, "They're just smut."

Kakashi shrilled.

"GAH!"Sakura shouted taken aback.

"No! A non-believer! I must rescue her soul!"Kakashi declared. He reached into his back and pulled out the first volume of Icha Icha Paradise.

Ino, Sakura and Kurenai looked at it blankly.

"You...you carry the first volume of Icha Icha Paradise with you,"Sakura asked.

"To convert!"Kakashi declared. "Here Ino-san. Read this and I guarentee you'll never want to put it down."

Ino plucked the book from her hands and opened it up. She was immediately bombarded with an image of a man and a woman in a rather kinky position.

"Can the leg turn that way?!"Kurenai asked loudly, suprising the small group.

"Read on and you'll find out how,"Kakashi stated smugly.

Ino hesitantly turned to the first page.

"Chapter One: Her Desires....Hakumei was a lovely kunoichi with a deep secret. She would never tell anyone but she secretly longed for the hot touch of her partner, Rei. Every training session they would have with eachother, his deep voice grunting from every block and kick he threw, she just couldn't get him off her mind. She wanted him. She wanted to taste every inch of him, feel his coc-"Ino read until Sakura snatched the book from her hands.

"HEY!"protested Ino.

"Ino-pig there are children about,"Sakura noted.

"Give it back!"Ino reached only to have Sakura toss it to Kurenai.

"No fears Ino, I have plenty more!"Kakashi pulled out Volume 2. "This one's a yaoi."

Ino, practically sqealing like a fangirl, took the book and began to read.

"Ooohooo, Haru-san you dog!"Ino walked off.

"You are a pervert,"Kurenai stated the obvious to a grinning Kakashi.

"I know."
