A bond thicker than blood

hiya guys

well i am back from my holiday, i had an awesome time with my friends.
it was so nice up in Inverness, even when on a search for nessie
in Loch Ness. but sadly she wasnt to be seen =P

well to answer some questions.

LadyRonin: hehe well not the only one bad at spelling, well when it comes to Orochimaru he had no previous connection with the "leader" as he is called in the passed, they only know each other by formalities and what their informants can get a hold of. well not in this chapter but next i am actually brining in Itachi so you'll get to know a bit more about Sasuke and his family status, and his brother is going to be a bit more involved i think. when it comes to the new trade of the drug i am using that as a leap from the traditional way of the Yakuza to a new Yakuza stage by Orochimaru, if that makes any sense. again dont want to reveal to much, couse the drug trade will have a bigger part later on.althoigh i havent mentioned anything more about the hit on Naruto in this chapter, i am not sure how i will play it out yet, but Gaara will have a bigger part when it comes to that.

and i did sleep till 5 pm last saturday, very hung over when i woke up though but it was nice with a long sleep. =)

sasunaruluv: hehe i am grateful that you took your time to comment again, i must say it was a bit empty with out you comments =)glad you liked the chapters, i am glad you liked the sex scene as it is one of my first attempts on it. see you around for the next chapters.

Synn: hope you really didnt die =P here is another chapter for you.

as for the update list i havent made one, but i can if you want. just give me your email and i'll email you when ever i update, that goes for any one that wants me to email them with the update if they like the story and so on.

hanyou-elf: it is my first ever attempt on a fan fic, even a proper story, so i know it is a bit all over the place, so sorry for disappointing you. but i am glad for your comment anyways, dunno if you will be reading this though but i'll just comment anyways just in case. I do know some of the prblems you are addressing and some of them is mostly due to me being very lazy with my writing, after so many essays it is just nice to write any way one like. hehe i'll do my best and not to forget to shorten so many words. and the whole speach thing never really thought of that so i'll try and remember as i keep writing. i got myself a beta reader and she is awesome, especially when it comes to my spelling hehe. But i appreciate you comment and i will take it to heart.

Chapter 21

Christmas had passed and they had passed all their exams for the spring semester with flying colours, Naruto felt kind of proud for juggling his university life, Sasuke and the Yakuza life and keeping them separate. Obviously there had been some incidents which he would rather do without but things had gone pretty smoothly, Naruto had to smile to himself the master of a double life.

“Naruto?” Sasuke stood in front of him looking at him puzzled

“Sorry, you were saying?” Naruto shook his head and looked at his boyfriend, who had stopped putting the books down in the boxes laid out on the bed.

Sasuke sighed “you sure it’s all right?” he paused not sure if he should continue, he didn’t want to ruin everything by asking the wrong question or in this case the right one and digging his own grave. Naruto looked at him with a puzzled face “all right?” he still was not quite following the conversation.

“Me moving in, I mean” Sasuke looked down in to the floor, not sure if he wanted to hear the answer. The blond boy thought the insecure look on the dark haired boy was very cute and he got up and let his right hand gently caress Sasuke’s face before he gave him a soft kiss.
“Stupid, of course it’s all right. I wouldn’t have asked you otherwise.” He smiled at Sasuke giving him another reassuring kiss; Naruto just hoped there wouldn’t be too much problem with the group. He had given most of the responsibilities to Haku and Momochi seeing as they already knew how things worked, and so far he had managed to feed Sasuke the lie that he now worked part time in the Antique shop to account for all the time he had to spend in the shop.

“Come on let’s get your stuff packed up before Haku and Momochi come to pick it up” the blond took the book Sasuke was holding and put it in the box next to him.

Sasuke felt a little more relieved but he was still a little unsure, there were so many things Naruto was not sharing with him but he was surprised that the blond boy had taken the first step. Sasuke hoped that this would be the time where Naruto would at least tell him something, anything to explain why he was having nightmares.
Sasuke watched as the blond boy packed his remaining stuff when he noticed a small piece of bandage sticking out from underneath the wrist band on his left wrist, he dropped everything he had in his hands and walked firmly towards the blond boy and grabbed the arm just above the wrist band before he pulled it off.

Naruto tried to pull away from Sasuke’s grip but he could not, the dark haired boy was not sure what feeling was stronger, the sadness he felt for knowing the blond boy was suffering alone or the anger for not being trusted enough to share the burden with.

“Sasuke, it hurts” the blond boy said and Sasuke could see the dried bloodstain of the blood that had manage to seep through the bandage, he let go realising he had squeezed Naruto’s arm a little too much. He reluctantly let go and looked at the blond boy who did not want to meet his eyes.

“Naruto …” the dark haired boy said with a sad and angry voice, he was about to open his mouth again and ask why but he was interrupted as Momochi stuck his head in the door.

“Oh sorry did I interrupt something?” he asked, Naruto put his wrist band back on hiding the bandage and turned around.

“No, we’re just having a tiny lovers quarrel. Nothing that can’t be fixed” Naruto smiled and looked around to see which boxes were packed and ready to go.

“Naruto you finish packing the last two boxes and I’ll start taking the finished ones down to the car” the dark haired boy lifted one of the big boxes and walked passed Momochi, who could sense the tension in the air.

“Did you tell him?” Momochi asked and looked down the hall to see Sasukes back disappear around the corner. Naruto put a pile of books and put them in the almost full box, evaluating if there was room for some more books.

“No I didn’t tell him yet” Naruto said not bothering to look up, Momochi sighed they were going to share a flat together and Naruto had agreed to become the leader of the antique shop which implied he would have to spend more time there to see how things worked.

“You can’t hide it forever Naruto, you have to tell him some time.”

Naruto gave Momochi a glare as he picked up a box, he didn’t need to be told. He knew perfectly well he had to tell Sasuke some time, it was just that he had to find the right moment. But the longer he waited the bigger the chance of him finding out from some one else grew and he knew that.

“He’s your lover, he deserves to know” was the last thing Momochi said before disappearing with the box.

Naruto tightened the grip around the book he was holding, I know damn it! He took a deep breath and put the book in the box before he closed it, Naruto needed to find the time to tell Sasuke about the Sumiyoshi-kai Yakuza. But there was another thing that needed to be addressed as well and that was Naruto’s nightmares and the tendency it had to end up with Naruto cutting his wrist to relieve the pain. The nightmares were part of the past he feared more than anything else, if Sasuke found out what his body had been used for he would feel disgusted and most definitely leave, maybe even hate him.
The Yakuza thing was easier to deal with; at least he knew Sasuke wouldn’t leave him for being a monster and the chances of being loved again by Sasuke was greater.

“Naruto?” the dark haired boy looked at the blond boy standing in front of him desperately holding on to his left wrist, “something wrong?” he was still annoyed at the blond boy but he decided to push it a side as soon as he saw the fear in the blue eyes that were staring at him.
Sasuke opened his arms gently gesturing that he would hold the blond boy and Naruto did not pull away; he let the dark haired boy embrace him. Sasuke could feel Naruto shaking and squeezed a little harder, telling him it was okay, that he was safe. Every part of Sasuke was begging Naruto to tell him what was going on and it took a lot of self restraint not to ask, the blond boy buried his face deeper into the embrace of the other boy.

Momochi stopped in the door and was contemplating whether or not to pick up another box, and the pro for picking up another outweighed the cons.

“Don’t mind me, just picking up some boxes” Momochi smiled at Sasuke and took one of the boxes and disappeared again.

“Naruto?” their eyes met and he could see that the fear had subdued a little, “do you want to rest a little?” Naruto shook his head at the question.

“Better get everything out before they throw you out, it’s almost 4” the blond boy said pulling away from the dark haired boy, Sasuke nodded and gave Naruto a gently pat on the head before picking up one of the boxes.

“Sasuke!” Naruto took a deep breath before continuing the sentence, looking at the boy standing in the doorway, waiting. “I promise … that …” his voice was shaking “when I’m ready I’ll tell you everything” he gave Sasuke a forced smile as he tried to hid how difficult it had been to admit that there was someone else who needed to know his past. “That is … if you’ll wait”

Sasuke put the box down and walked fast over to the blond boy and hugged him, knowing he had not asked for permission he squeezed a little harder in case Naruto would try and pull away. Something he didn’t do much to Sasukes surprise.

“I’ll wait as long as it takes” Sasuke whispered into Naruto’s ear, kissing him on the head.

“As long as it takes”
