The Power of Youth... and Love

(This is the final Chapter of this story….maybe. By the time this chapter ends, you are all going to demand that I make more, but I need a breather. Have to go get another part time job to pay the bills, and I need to think of other stories I wanna write, both Naruto and Non-Naruto related. But I promise that if you’re really good, you might get and extra chapter for this one, ok?)

Chapter 21: Fox and Toad Verses Dragon, the Climax of the Great Battle Comes

Gamabunta took a long puff of his pipe and exhaled, firing the smoke out of his nostrils, “Why did you summon me here boy?” the great toad asked. Naruto pointed at the large Seven-Tailed Dragon in front of them, “do you see that guy?” The large toad boss looked and smiled, “Hotaru, is that you, you old dog?” The Dragon grunted and smiled back, “Bunta you old toad, how have you been? How are those kids of yours?” Bunta inhaled from his pipe again and blew the smoke out of his amphibious lungs, “The boy’s are fine, and I’ve been doing well. Now, why am I out here, and why are you in your dragon form?” The Dragon grunted, “you feel that boy on top of your head?” Gamabunta nodded, and Hotaru continued, “this one’s having a fight with me, just to see if he’s anything like his father.” Bunta was, for lack of a much better word, impressed that Naruto had come this far, “He even got you to use the Shichibi, huh?” As Hotaru nodded, Bunta took another puff of his pipe, blowing out the smoke and thinking about what he should do. “Why should I help you boy? It’s not like you’ve done anything for me,” the old toad asked the blonde man standing on his head, and Naruto laughed. “Well boss, I figured since Ero-Sennin and my father are dead, and I haven’t summoned you in a long while, I figured you’d want to come out and stretch your legs. What do you think?” The mighty Gamabunta closed he eyes, and put his fin on the hilt of his mighty blade, “you know, it has been far too long since I’ve gotten any exercise. Besides, you’re not going to last long against him if you fight on your own right now… I like you too much to see you get fried.” The old amphibian opened his eyes and looked at Hotaru, “sorry my friend, but I owe it to Jiraiya and Minato to help this kid. Besides, you’ll kill him if he fights on his own, because of your dragon form.” Hotaru nodded and said mockingly, “you’re right, it’s been far too long since I’ve had roasted frog legs.”

Bunta made the first move, lunging at the powerful dragon with his custom Katana, but Hotaru countered with his own attack. “Fire Release: Dragon Inferno” the dragon said, firing off a massive blast of flames at the toad, making him leap into the air to dodge it. Bunta threw his sword at the dragon, who quickly dodged; Bunta was much quicker then usual, making a quick hand seal, “Water Release: Bullet Technique,” Bunta yelled, firing 5 mighty blasts of water at the dragon, pinning him to the ground. “Ha,” the dragon roared, “is that the best you can do Bunta?” He didn’t realize Naruto was no longer standing on the might boss toad, and was now silently resting on Hotaru’s back. “Hey Hotaru,” Naruto yelled, making the dragon turn to face him on his back, “Rule one of combat, never take your eyes off of your opponents,” he grinned, hitting him in the spine with a ‘Dragon Missile Rasengan,’ making the elder dragon howl in pain. Hotaru winced at the searing pain in his scaly back, and turned his neck only to be his at point blank by another massive blast of water. Hotaru leaped back, then flew high into the air, grinning, “not bad, but I think after 500 years, I know more about combat then both of you.” Naruto was forced onto his belly as the dragon flew, and thought to himself, *man, for 500 years old, he looks only slightly worse then Tsunade Baa-Sama.* Hotaru grinned and said, “Fire Release: Grand Dragon Blaze,” breathing fire and flames down upon his amphibious opponent, forcing the toad to leap back. Hotaru quickly dove down, trying to bomb Gamabunta and get Naruto off of his back at the same time.

The only thing that separated Bunta and the jaws of the dragon was his Katana, which he leaped for just as Hotaru was breathing the intense flames down at him. He could not see Naruto, nor would he think of a plan with Hotaru’s hot breath in his face, *Gah, why does this always happen when I fight him?* the old toad thought, hopelessly trying to think of some way to get the dragon off of him. Out of nowhere, a yellow streak ran around Hotaru’s neck and onto Bunta’s weapon, as the dragon was kicked hard off of the large sword, “Hotaru, even Gamabunta couldn’t get me off of his back, and he has less to hold on to,” smirked a very confident Naruto, standing happily on the flat edge of the giant sword. Hotaru looked at them and was about to fire again, when Naruto turned his head to Bunta and said, “flick me towards him,” to which the giant toad moved his sword vertically and threw the ninja right at Hotaru. Naruto summoned a couple of clones and started to form 2 ‘Greater Dragon Missile Rasengan’ in each hand, which was the only think Hotaru could see before he used the ‘Grand Dragon Blaze’ again.

Katsuyu and Tsunade couldn’t believe what Naruto was doing to counter the amazing power of Hotaru so far, but his last attack was blocked in an even stranger way. “Lady Tsunade, did he just…” was all Katsuyu could say, she couldn’t even describe what was happening herself. “Yes, yes, that is exactly what Naruto is doing,” was the now 55 year old woman’s response. *in all the years I have known Hotaru, there are not many who have lived past his Dragon form, but for someone to even remotely match his level of power like this is amazing,* Tsunade thought to herself, awaiting to see the end of this epic fight.

Hotaru couldn’t believe his attack was blocked and absorbed by the 2 Rasengan, and it made things more unreal when both of the Rasengan fused together. However he had a huge opportunity as Naruto seemed to be having a hard time controlling the massive cone in front of him (because of they way both spheres were spinning, the combined form caused them to collapse on each other, making an oblong drill shape.) Hotaru lunged at the boy, trying to claw at his body with his razor sharp claws, “Game over boy,” he screamed, only to be blocked by Bunta. The mighty toad smiled and said, “Hotaru, it is unlike you to attack someone who is preoccupied,” he mocked, and Hotaru responded by trying to bite at the toad’s face. Gamabunta had a simple response, hopping back just enough so that he could use his fins (while trying not to sit on Naruto,) “Water Release: Bullet Technique” he said, firing a massive blast of water in the face of the mighty dragon, forcing him to move back. *Gotta hit him harder,* the old Toad thought to himself, making a few more hand seals, “Water Release: Heavy Toad Bomb,” Said the boss of all toads, opening his mouth to almost match the size of his entire body. Hotaru could see a massive ball of water coming at him from above. “This is gonna hurt,” he said, getting hammered into the ground with tremendous force by the powerful shot.

Tsunade was impressed with this fight more then anything, “Bunta is helping Naruto to his fullest, Hotaru is actually on the ropes in the worst way, and Naruto looks like he finally completed this new technique he seems to have been making,” she thought looking at the boy in front of her. She saw what had to be the ultimate Rasengan, the technique that the Fourth had made so long ago, “that looks like such a powerful technique, he handled himself well when talking to the Mizukage… this boy is going to be the sixth, no doubt about it.” She said softly, and her loyal Slug nodded in its own way with complete agreement.

Gamabunta looked down after that last attack, seeing that Naruto had complete control over the massive chakra drill, “Well Hotaru, it’s been fun, but it’s time I went home to look after the boys. I know that this battle is going to end soon anyways, and I know who’s going to win… good-bye,” and in a giant puff of smoke, the great boss toad disappeared. Hotaru looked down and saw Naruto holding the crimson spiraling drill, *impressive, he took the full power of my flames and used it to form that thing,* Hotaru smiled softly, getting ready to charge at the boy, *he will be a great leader, and may be able to go further,* he thought about that as he said, “This is it boy, time to end this.” Naruto smiled and said, “Yeah, it is,” getting ready to charge at the dragon himself. Naruto pointed the drill at the dragon; Hotaru raised his claws at the boy, and the lunged at each other, awaiting the ultimate fate….

Hinata was sitting in the rocking chair in Minato’s room; she was breast feeding her child while a blanket was wrapped around both. She could feel a warm breeze coming from outside, it made her wonder where her husband was, and why it felt like there was someone at the window on the outside. “Who’s there?” she asked, and all she heard was a familiar voice say, “Well, at least he’s getting dinner.” She smiled when she heard Naruto’s voice, “I missed you,” they both said at the same time to each other, as Naruto hopped through the small window frame. She looked at his slight bandages on his hand and was going to ask what happened, but that train of thought was interrupted when Naruto said, “we have to go to the Hokage’s office, she says she has something for us.” “Ok,” she said, getting herself ready to put Minato down for a nap, but Naruto said, “it’s ok honey, our son can come with us.” She smiled and said “fine, but I don’t want to be out for very long,” and he agreed. The couple and their child left, both hoping this was going to be good.

Tsunade pulled the chest out and placed it on the floor in front of them, wiping off the layer of dust that had accumulated on it over the past 18 years. Hotaru and Shizune picked at the 2 locks and opened it, “Baa-chan, what is this?” Naruto asked, and she giggled softly thinking about everything that was actually in that box. “Well Naruto, this is a chest full of things your parents wanted to have,” she said, as Naruto looked through the box with Shizune (who was going to help since Hinata was holding the baby.) Naruto pulled out a large red cloak, a picture of his parents, a group of sealed kunai, instructions on how to perform the “Flying Thunder God Technique,” and 2 keys, a the deed to... “The estate if Namizaki Minato?” he asked, and the Hokage smiled and said, “Your father’s Manor, quite a large house to be honest with you. Now, would you like this chest to be sent there or to that small and cozy house you have now?” Hinata and Naruto's jaw’s hit the floor, “ARE YOU FREAKING BAGGING ME?” They both yelled, the shock of hearing they had a mansion to themselves, and they decided to move in immediately.

After their excitement died out, the elder’s came in and were told of Tsunade’s decision to make Naruto the next Hokage, to which they were up in arms about, telling her that he would never be a good leader and would be a threat if they Kyuubi would be released. Hotaru raised his hand and said, “You know, if he were any more in sync with the Kyuubi right now, his eyes would look almost like mind, he said with his eyes shut as usual. Besides, he has shown he might be as good if not better of a leader then his father.” The elders laughed at him, until they saw how serious he was and silenced themselves, knowing that his man was in every way the equal in mentality and skill as their old teammate Sarutobi Hiruzen. The agreed that he could be Hokage and said that he needed to learn a lot more then he did now, to which Hotaru smiled, “Naruto, Hinata, Tsunade and I were talking, and we both agree that you can both train with your Hokage as well as myself. Would you like to?” Both the Kunoichi and her ‘Hokage’ husband nodded and smiled, and Hotaru said “very well, whenever you’d like to, we will. I will remain in the village until you both learn everything that can be taught to you. I will see you both around,” and with that he left, awaiting their long and intense training.

Ino and Sakura almost fainted when they heard the news that they were moving into the Namizaki Mansion. “We’re going to be moving starting tomorrow afternoon, and we’re going to be able to keep this house too. So it’s all going to work out for us,” said the proud Heir to the mansion, and both girls hugged him and kissed his cheeks, congratulating him on the new home and his new title. He smiled and said, “well, I’m going to bed, that mission was hell on my body,” and he walked into his room awaiting his wife to put the baby to sleep and join him.
