A bond thicker than blood

hiya

i am back with an update all thanks to the blazinest cyber muffins
LadyRonin gave me =P nothing like a sugar bomb to increase ones energy level.

LadyRonin: haha i wish i had that music when i was writing, i like to listening to music while i write
it makes it easier to write the story, every time i listening the Fray i always think of the story.
not entirely sure why i decided to leave it out, but i am sure it will pay its significant later.
when it comes to Itachi and gaara there is a sentence in this chapter that will reveal if they have met before or not =) yes things are getting a bit more complicated, the secret about the "family" can not be kept for long now that Naruto is getting more and more involved with the "family" and its business. I havent decided yet who is going to spill the beans to Sasuke yet, but i have build some of the scene in my head of how it is going to be played out. but yeah he do know who Naruto is, but i think right now he amused by the fact that Sasuke doesnt know who Naruto really is. when it comes to how Itachi will act towards Naruto i am not entirly sure, in this chapter i have him act his regular smexy cool bastardly way, with a tad of the evil clown guy from batman if you know who i am talking about.

Chapter 24

Sasuke was unable to move, anger had now filled his entire body. It was the same every time Itachi decided to show himself to him, just to remind him that the one person he despised the most was still alive.

Sasuke dropped his bag to the ground and turned to face his brother. The smirk on the pale face staring at him, made him almost explode with anger. Sasukes teeth grinned together and if eye colours could change with the mood they would have been red as fire.

Itachi watched how the anger was eating his little brother up, he smiled at Sasuke. He found it very amusing to see his little brother squirm by his very presence; it was the main reason why he liked visiting him from time to time.

“aaaww what’s with the angry face Sasuke?” Itachi made a taunting pouting face “not happy to see your older brother alive and well?”

Sasuke had clenched his fist so hard that the knuckles were white; it took all his willpower not to attack the older black haired boy in front of him. “Bastard what are you doing here?” Their eyes still locked on each others.

“Is there any need to ask, little brother. It’s their anniversary next week, just though I’d remind you” Itachi laughed as he said it, he began walking slowly towards the angry boy. “Ah but I guess you haven’t forgotten, that’s why you went home wasn’t it?” Sasuke looked at him with surprise, how did he know I went home?

The older dark haired boy put his hand in front of his mouth and made a surprised facial expression only to taunt Sasuke “oh did I forget to tell you, I watched you for the week you were home” he stopped only 3 meters away from Sasuke. Sasuke was unable to keep his surprise and fear hidden; he had been watching him the entire time, how did he not realise?

“You see I have just been promoted” Itachi began moving from side to side, as some one would when they were nervously waiting for someone or something. However the dark haired man was not doing it out of any of those reasons, he did it in order to piss off Sasuke. “And with the promotion I was given a task of brining some information and if possible bring a certain person with me.” Sasuke was confused, who was it? Was it him? If so what value was he to Orochimaru?

“Ah I bet you are thinking I’m referring to you” Itachi laughed as if it was the stupidest thought Sasuke could have. “Well rest assured my little brother it’s not you, but a certain blond with blue eyes. A person I’m sure you remember, he should be going to the same university as you, making things a lot easier because now you can help me.” Itachi pointed at Sasuke

Sasuke froze; fear was taking over pushing the anger away. What would Orochimaru want with Naruto? The anger was back, like hell he would let either his brother or Orochimaru have Naruto.

“Go any where near him and I’ll kill you” Sasuke spat at his brother, he had regained his confidence.

“Oh, you two are still attached at the hip?” Sasukes brother remembered from when they were young Sasuke and Naruto had been inseparable, he also remembered how annoying he found the blonds hyperactive tendencies, how his little brother manage to cope with it was still a mystery to him.

Sasuke really did not want to tell Itachi they were more than just friends, he knew now Itachi’s hidden motive for coming to see him. His brother was going to use him to get to his lover; right now he was just hoping Naruto was either inside the flat or not coming back for some time.

“Fuck off Itachi!” the raven boy spat out

“Hmmm I’m afraid not little brother” he grinned again, knowing he was getting Sasuke right where he wanted him “you are, like it or not, going to help me. In fact you just did” Itachi pointed towards the small playground. For the first time since Itachi had shown his presence Sasuke took his eyes off him and looked in the direction of where he was pointing.

‘Naruto’ Sasuke saw the blond boy standing watching; following right behind him was a red-headed guy. No no no, get away. Please leave. Sasuke was pleading with his eyes, hoping the blond would realise.

“Sasuke?” Naruto looked over seeing the raven boy with an older boy looking strangely familiar. Gaara tightened his grip around the sword ready to draw it at any time, “Don’t” Gaara looked up at Naruto who was still looking towards the two black haired boys. Gaara was unsure if he knew who Itachi was, but what worried him most was what Orochimarus right hand man doing here.

Naruto began walking over to Sasuke; he knew he had seen the other person before. He had told Gaara to stay; he was also relieved he had asked Gaara not to tell anyone what Naruto was or what he was involved with. He could see the disappointed look on Kiba, Ino, Lee and Sakura if they found out he had sided with the Yakuza seeing as he had always said how much he hated the Yakuza.

“Sasuke, everything alright?” the blond boy asked as he approached the two

“Naruto” Itachi grinned and attempted to put a hand on Naruto’s shoulder, but Sasuke was too quick and pulled the blond boy behind him in order to protect him from the older boy. “aaww don’t be like that Sasuke” again his brother was taunting him with a pouting face

“Get the fuck away Itachi … or I’ll!” Sasuke spat at his brother. Naruto recognised the name before it actually hit him, Sasukes older brother! He remembered how the older boy had always come looking for Sasuke whenever it was time for dinner or time to go home for the day, however the tension between the two now was unexpected.

“Or you’ll what Sasuke … you don’t have the balls to finish that sentence” Itachi was getting a bit impatient “well I’ll leave for now seeing as I have some good information to take back with me. I must say even though you are so reluctant to help me you still managed to help me a great deal” he smirked at the two boys in front of him.

Itachi’s smirk gave Naruto the Goosebumps, and he was confused. How was Sasuke helping him, what information were they talking about? There were numerous other questions the blond boy wanted to ask but with the air filled with a tension one could cut with a knife he thought it would be best to wait.

“The hell I will” Sasuke’s voice was raised so much he was almost screaming “screw you and the Sumiyoshi-kai, there is no way in hell I’ll help you get what you want” Naruto could feel Sasuke’s grip tighten around his arm, but Naruto was still focused on the one word Sasuke had said. Since when did Sasuke know about Sumiyoshi-kai, what was his brother’s connection with the group? It was at that time Naruto realised he knew so little about what was going on within his own group.

“You killed our parent just to get money to settle you debt to Orochimaru, you took away the two of the most important people to me, people that should have been important to you too!!” Sasuke kept raising his voice

The blond boy’s heart sank; Itachi had killed his own parents just to give Orochimaru money, he knew the rules for not paying back money to the Yakuza but the older boy had taken it too far. This was all Orochimaru’s fault, and then the thought of his own father came to his mind. Had his father been the same? Had he driven people to kill for money or even worse had he killed people in order to get the money owed to him?

“I can never forgive you for what you did, you even joined the bastard. I hate you with all the fibres in my body Itachi, and I swear that if you ever come near Naruto I will kill you.” Sasuke gave Itachi a look that could kill

Itachi only smiled before he began laughing, he turned around and began walking in the same direction to where Gaara was standing “you can’t kill me Sasuke and you know why, because you’re afraid… Afraid that if you do kill me you’ll be exactly like me … A person capable of killing his own family” he laughed even more, knowing the last sentence would hit home, he was only a bit saddened that he didn’t turn around to see Sasukes face when he said it. “Tell Momochi I said hi” he told the red haired boy as he walked passed.

“Fucking bastard, any Yakuza can just drop dead.” Sasuke muttered before taking the bag he had dropped to the ground and tramped up the stairs to the flat.

“Uzumaki-sama” Gaara was standing next to him now, making him draw his gaze from the top of the stairs where the raven boy had disappeared to.

“Just go home Gaara, I’ll be fine” Naruto gave him a half hearted smile before following the dark haired boy. Naruto was in shock to say the least but he was scared as well, Sasuke was carrying such a hatred for the Sumiyoshi-kai group, how could he possibly tell the dark haired boy what he was now?
