Negotiations

A/N: Just some clarifications, yes Naruto does know the difference between love and lust. He spent the last eight years vying for Sakura's affections and three of those years dedicating his life to bring his best friend home. He does have the unfortunate circumstance of truly being in love with two people at the same time. What can we say, the boy has a big heart. Garmeit- I'm glad you like the suspense with the lube, I hope it would work that way. ;P Sorry if you thought the lemon was too short.

THANKS FOR READING!
_______________
A smiling Sakura made her way into the Hokage’s apartments. She didn’t feel she needed to knock or get permission to enter now that she was the Hokage’s official fiancé. In one week they would be married; she giggled and hugged herself. Bouncing happily to his bedroom, she pulled the door and opened her mouth to call out to him. She froze as her eyes took in the scene in front of her.

Naruto was asleep on the bed, lying on his stomach with his arms wrapped around a pillow. A white sheet was low on his hips, displaying the top curves of his butt and clearly proving his lack of any clothes. Sasuke stood at the edge of the bed, fastening his pants and looking up inquiringly, like she was the one out of place.

Sasuke calmly watched Sakura put the pieces together and comprehend the situation, with her mouth still agape. Finally closing her mouth, she looked sharply at the Uchiha and angry green eyes bore into his own. Her mouth opened again to speak but Sasuke interrupted with a quite tone.

“Not here,” he said, looking down at the blonde and pulling his shirt over his head. Sakura looked like she was ready to explode. “The whole mansion doesn’t need to hear this. Meet me at the training grounds.” With a poof she was gone and Sasuke stood smirking at the spot she had occupied. He had planned on searching her out but this worked so much better, there could be no denial. He’d felt her presence when she entered the apartment and set everything up to the best advantage, and dressed slowly so he was still partially unclothed when she entered. Grinning wider he pulled the sheet up to cover the blonde before leaving to meet Sakura.

Sasuke poofed into the training grounds and did not have to wait long for the verbal assault. “You bastard!” Sakura screamed. Her hands were clenched into tight fists at her side and her face matched her hair. “You gave him to me, you can’t have him back!”

“Sakura,” Sasuke tried calmly. “I was just trying to make him happy. I didn’t realize how much I loved him then, I can’t be without him.”

“And I would have never known I loved him if YOU hadn’t told me to give him a chance!” She pointed an accusing finger as she stalked up to him. “And now that I know, you’re trying to steal him away!”

Crossing his arms over his chest he growled in annoyance, “He love me back, Sakura.”

“He loves me too!” she screamed in fury. Regaining her calm, she took a few steps back and rubbed her still flat belly. “But I have an ace in the hole,” she said, smiling smugly.

Sasuke glared angrily at her until the pieces clicked in place. Looking half incredulous he questioned, “That wasn’t an accident was it? You’re a medical-nin; you knew when it would be the right time!”

“I saw the way you were looking at him,” she shook with rage as she accused. “I tried to ignore it because I thought it was impossible. Then you posed as his ANBU Captain. It all started after that party.”

“That’s right Sakura,” he said, straightening up a smug smirk of his own. “I had him first.”

“Aaaaaaah!” Sakura screamed and lunged at the smug Uchiha. Sasuke dodged to the right and the tree that had been behind him exploded as Sakura’s fist connected. Sasuke flipped gracefully into a nearby tree as she tried to sweep his feet and followed through with a left fist. Sakura quickly followed into the tree, but fell when Sasuke used his wire to cut the branch from under her feet. Landing delicately on her feet, she punched he earth in front of the tree causing the tree to fall over, dumping the Uchiha back to the ground.

Quicker than he had ever remembered Sakura being, she was once again in front of him swinging that brutal fist. Sasuke moved to the right to dodge but found his left leg trapped by the fallen branches. Quickly, he fell to his back to avoid the punch, but the delay had made him half a second too slow. Her fist grazed his cheek and he raised his right leg to kick her chin. Sakura flew up and over to land on her back while Sasuke rolled violently to the right, his leg being forcefully removed from the branches.

Both nin jumped back to their feet, though a might unsteady, and prepared for another attack. This had to stop. She had only grazed his cheek ad his face felt like hell. Both stood panting wildly and staring at each other with hate. The air grew thick as Sasuke charged a chidori strike and Sakura pumped chakara into her fist.

Running at the same time, Sakura pulled back her fist but was assaulted by images of her and the two boys. They weren’t always on the best of terms, but they had had some good times together. Sasuke had even smiled and laughed on occasion.

Sasuke was also plagued with thoughts as he charged the other nin. He pictured Naruto holding a baby that looked just like him, from his vibrant blonde hair, to his azure blue eyes. How would Naruto feel if he killed what might be the only child he was ever to have?

Right before impact, both nin veered right and released their chakara into the ground below. Cracks marred the terrain and both slumped onto the ground with their backs resting against one another. When his breath and pulse returned to normal, he spoke to the girl behind him.

“This is no good, Sakura. We have to think of something.”

“The Hokage needs a wife and children, Sasuke,” she spoke exasperated.

Sasuke stiffened against her back as he crossed his arms across his chest. “Well, I’m not giving him up because the council wants him married,” he groused.

“Well, I’m not giving him up either,” she returned the grumble and mimicked his posture.

The minutes ticked by as they sat back to back in silence, till Sasuke slowly looked over his shoulder at the girl. “Maybe neither of us has to give him up,” he said thoughtfully.

“What do you mean?” she inquired glancing back at him.

Sasuke faced forward and gazed blankly toward the trees around them. “Look, I was talking to him today.” Sasuke chuckled once with a smirk when he remembered their ‘talk.’ “And he was having a hard time figuring out what to do. He really thinks he loves us both.”

She turned sharply and glared at him. “You knew about that before you came here?” she asked angrily.

“Yes,” he smirked and turned to face her with his legs crossed. “But I didn’t know that you knew about us. I thought I could spill it and you’d leave him.”

“Hmph,” she crossed her arms and lifted her chin to the left. “The Hokage need a wife,” she proclaimed again.

“So continue as planned,” he shrugged.

“What?” she asked, looking at him in disbelief.

“The Hokage also needs a personal guard,” he smirked suggestively.

“One who lives in the mansion,” she mumbled thoughtfully, catching his line of thought.

“Right. And we could, you know, trade nights,” he suggested with a slight blush.

“Scandalous!” Sakura yelled loudly with a look of complete shock on her face.

“No one outside the apartment would know,” he reassured.

Sakura stared wide-eyed at the raven, attempting to believe his suggestion. And the more she thought about it… “Fine, under one condition,” she said finally.

Sasuke waited with a raised brow for her stipulation. A wide, lecherous grin marred her face and he frowned. ‘She better not think that I’m going to…’

“I get to watch,” she declared with a single wag of a brow.

Sasuke fell over dramatically onto his side, that’s not what he’d expected her to say. He looked up at her, eye twitching, and responded when he decided it wasn’t a joke. “Fine.” Sakura’s smile widened and he amended his answer, “Occasionally.”

“Hmmph,” she frowned slightly.

Sitting back up he looked at Sakura carefully. “I think we all get what we want.” He stuck out his hand, “Deal?”

“Deal.” She shook his hand firmly then stood up and dusted herself off. Watching Sasuke do the same she asked a bit nervous, “Now how do we break this to Naruto?”

“That’s easy,” he said dusting his arm. Looking her in the eye he smiled evilly. “No need to break it gently, it’s his own fault for not choosing.

------

Naruto sat in the sitting room, rocking back and forth n his zaisu chair. This spot had a perfect view of the door and he had been watching it for over an hour now. He had woken up alone, but could tell that both of his loves had been in the room by their fading scents. Sasuke had stayed longer, as his scent was stronger, but what had Sakura seen? Had she been scarred away by her new knowledge like Sasuke had hoped? How far would Sasuke carry his possessive streak if she weren’t? Naruto wrung his hands in worry.

And what about the baby in all this? It was still a problem either way, whether Sasuke said it was or not. There was still a chance she wouldn’t carry the baby to term, such was the life of a kunoichi. But if she did, he would still have to make sure they were both taken care of. And could he deal with not seeing his own child, or worse, only seeing him or her on passing. ‘Oh gods!’ Naruto thought in a panic. The council knew about the baby! Even if they said she was mistaken, if she had a baby in nine moths they would know it was his!

The door creaked and Naruto looked up sharply from his mental ravings. Sasuke and Sakura walked in together. Both had a large bruise on part of their face and were walking with an awkward limp. Naruto looked back to their faces to see that both were… smiling? Naruto leaned too far back in his shock and yelped as he fell onto his back, kicking the kotatsu in the process.

“Dobe,” Sasuke muttered at the bumbling blonde while Sakura ran to help him up.

“Umm? Is everything okay?” Naruto asked, looking back and forth between the two as Sakura helped him to his feet.

“Everything is just fine,” Sakura answered with a brilliant smile.

“But… but…” He turned to the raven and half whispered, “Sasuke, I thought you were going to tell her?”

“She already knew,” Sasuke said nonchalantly while righting the table and replacing the top.

“What!!!” Naruto screamed at Sasuke, then turned to Sakura with barely controlled fear. “Sakura, I…I…”

Sakura waved off the panicked blonde. “Sasuke and I already discussed it,” she said rubbing her bruised chin. “The wedding will go on as planned.”

Naruto stared at her for a moment before turning to face the Uchiha. “I thought you said you wouldn’t let me get married?” he asked confused.

“I said I wouldn’t let you go,” Sasuke replied with a smirk. “I’ll be moving in as your private guard.” The smirk turned into a leer.

Naruto turned to the girl with a worried face. “Sakura?” She nodded in agreement and looked at the Uchiha with a smile. “So… We’ll be married… in name only?” the blonde said while trying to get all this straight in his head.

“No way!” Sakura yelled outraged.

“Then… all three…” Naruto stuttered; he was beginning to feel light headed.

“Not at the same time, Dobe,” Sasuke assured while putting a hand on the Hokage’s shoulder to steady the swaying man.

“We’ll take turns,” Sakura proclaimed chipperly, linking her arm on the other side of the blonde.

“BUT I’M THE HOKAGE!!!” Naruto screamed, throwing his arms down and shaking them both free.

“No one outside this room will know,” Sasuke reasoned, exasperated with the blonde’s little tantrum.

“And who would suspect it?” Sakura agreed. She smirked at Sasuke before she continued. “What wife would let that happen?”

“Oh gods,” Naruto mumbled and dropped to his knees. Looking up at the smirking pair, Naruto whined softly, “You guys are going to kill me.”

The smirks grew wider as the two exchange looks. “Maybe,” they said simultaneously before helping ‘their’ distressed blonde from the floor.

THE END!

Yay! I'm sorry if the end didn't come out as some of you would have liked. But I wrote the dialog for this chapter before I even finished the first chapter, this was my inspiration for the whole fic.

If you don't want this to be the end don't worry, I couldn't let go. There will be a sequel titled "Second Chance." And if you were hoping for Mpreg, it will be there!

Hope to see you all in the next fic.
Thanks for the great reviews,
Tereshi
