The New Otokage

Chapter 26: Bond by blood and marriage.

Naruto and Sasuke were dragged out of their bed by Naruto´s clingy ´family` at six in the morning of their wedding day.

Sasuke growled fiercely as his lover´s warm and nearly naked body was torn away from his loving embrace. (A/N: Naruto was only wearing boxers – Sasuke too…)

“What the f*** is going on?” He shouted at Iruka, Sakura and Kushina, who had seemingly become the best of friends over night.

Tsunade, Ryû and Kakashi were tactful enough to stay downstairs; they were currently preparing a light breakfast for the prominent lovers.

Ryu was peeling various fruits which the silver-haired Kakashi cut in quarts while the busty Hokage brewed tea and coffee. They ducked as they heard the raven-haired groom’s angry reaction to the not to gently wake-up call.

“Guess someone’s not a morning person.” Ryû stated dryly.

“Oh, Sasuke-kun hates the sunrise.” The copy-nin chuckled.

They greeted the growling Uchiha with a cup of coffee as he joined them in the kitchen five minutes later. He was carrying his wedding yukata as he had literally been kicked out of his own bedroom as the three maniacs(as he called them) forbid him to look at his beloved before the wedding.

“They wouldn´t even let me kiss him… damn family…” He growled to himself as he dropped down on a chair next to Naruto´s younger brother.

“We´ll help you get ready, Otokage-sama,” the young blonde said hesitantly. He was a bit unsure how to act towards the powerful Uchiha who had won his aniki´s heart.

“Hn… Thanks Ryû-kun… and call me Sasuke. We´re going to be family soon, so there is no need for formalities.” The Uchiha tired to sound at least a little bit friendly. This was Naruto´s younger brother… it would be wise to keep it nice and friendly, especially since his Dobe tended to be a bit moody with the pregnancy and those damn raging hormones.

Besides, it wasn´t Ryû-kun´s fault that mother-hen Iruka, sister-figure Sakura and mother Kushina wanted to drag the marring couple out of bed before sunrise.

Naruto let out a strangled yawn as he finally managed to realize what was going on. Thankfully Kyuubi had warned him as Iruka, Sakura and Kushina had entered the house so he wouldn´t panic or get stressed on what should be the best day in his young life.

He was ushered into the bathroom and ordered to take a shower. Iruka handed him a pair of boxers and the pants he was going to wear for the wedding while the brunette promised to keep the women out till he got dressed.

¤It´s finally time, kit. You´re going to get married… this is so exciting.¤ The Kitsune chuckled as Naruto stepped under the soothing spray.

´Naruto Uzumaki-Uchiha… it really sounds good, doesn´t it… We are going to have a real family Kyuu-chan… This is real, isn´t it?`

¤You bet it is, brat… I´m so proud of you. You have done well and I´m happy to have been with you all the way.¤

´You have always been a great support even though we had a rough start. I wonder if Ero-senin´s here or if he´s snooping around the bathhouse again.`

¤Heh heh, he´s here. He´s hiding in a tree in the garden; watching over the perimeter… He really loves you as if you were of the same blood. He liked your father a lot and is proud of you as well…¤ The furry demon chuckled. ¤ He has changed since that old hag has allowed him to share her bed… he´s very faithful to her.¤

´I know. Jiraiya once told me that Baa-chan was his soul-mate… just like Sasuke is mine… I´m happy that she finally opened up to him. I´m glad that Sasuke found me at Nami no Kuni(A/N: The city where the great Naruto bridge is located at the wave). And now we are getting married and we´re having kits of our own… thanks to you, Kyuu-chan.`

¤I´m happy to be of assistance. You have to share your body and soul with me… it´s the least I can do. I like to see you smile, kit…¤

´Hey, don´t go all sentimental on me… there will be enough of that today as people always tend to cry at weddings.`

Naruto stepped out of the shower and dried himself of before putting on the soft light blue boxers.

¤You got enough of ´something blue` for a lifetime of happiness, kit. Blue eyes, a blue sapphire necklace, blue underwear and Minato´s blue yukata. The yukata also counts for the ´something old` part. The kunai is ´something borrowed` with only leaves ´something new,`¤ the Kitsune chuckled cheerfully. She was happy for her little blonde kit.

´Well let´s go out there and find out what something new will be then.` Naruto grinned as his mirror image before he drew in a deep breath and walked out off the bathroom to meet his fate.

Sasuke drank his coffee in peace after he asked Ryu to make sure that Naruto was getting some food. The younger blonde had been eager to help and had brought a plate of peeled fruit upstairs.

“He really adores Naruto doesn´t he?” Sasuke hummed as he took another sip of his coffee. He was still only clad in his boxers as Tsunade was the only female on the ground floor… and she used to be his medic.

“Well normal brotherhood is a nice thing… and Ryuga looks up to Naruto… which is to be expected, I guess.” Kakashi stated as he turned a page in his perverted book.

“… Hn.”

“Everything is ready for the big event anyway.” Tsunade said and succeeded in changing the subject. “The flowers are still looking like newly picked and the catering firm is almost ready with the food. The guests are all here and we even had to make space for another table for the gifts… your wedding is the event of the year, Sasuke-kun.”

“I never wanted a big party… I would have been happy if he and I, Kakashi, Iruka, Sakura and you were present for our wedding… but my… job doesn´t allow us to make it that simple.” Sasuke said with a sigh.

“On the others side… everyone will know that Naruto belongs to you… and you to him, Sasuke.” Kakashi said. It earned him a content smile from the Uchiha. ´Yes, Naruto is mine… and I am his… No one will ever be allowed to take him away from me.`

Two hours later ( A/N: At nine P.M.)

Kakashi was correcting a few strains of unruly raven-locks on the Uchiha´s head before looking at his own mirror image.

“How do I look?” Sasuke asked with a quivering voice. He was going to get married to his Dobe in a few minutes and his entire body was shaking from nervousness.

“Damn; I want nothing more than to marry him… why am I shaking like this?”

“It´s normal… You´re just excited, Sasuke… you love Naruto and are looking forward to be his… and he to be yours.” Kakashi reassured him. The Uchiha had asked him to be his best man while Iruka had decided to share the honor of being Naruto´s best man with Naruto´s younger brother.

“Are you sure? I´ve never felt like this… well I felt something similar as we met again at the wave… does this mean that he´s my significant half?” The raven-haired Kage asked.

“Well… is says till death do us part, in the weddings wows. Would you love Naruto till you die?” The older nin asked seriously. He liked all three of his students… and he didn´t want to see any of them marry unless they were in love.

“I would go to hell and back for Naruto… even if we weren’t able to have kids I would still love him. I would give up on everything to be with him… even my own life.” Sasuke confessed.

“Then there is nothing to be nervous about, Sasuke. Naruto loves you just the same way. He would do anything to make you happy…”

The Uchiha stared at his former sensei with great respect. This was just what Sasuke needed to hear… he loved Naruto and Naruto loved him… what more could they possible need?

“It´s time… Let´s go out there and meet your soul-mate, Sasuke-kun.”

Meanwhile:

“… What´s in the box?” The golden-haired blonde asked with curiosity as Tsunade handed him a small wrapped box.

He was sitting on a comfortable chair while his Kasan was doing his hair. Naruto liked it like it was but the nagging ´girls` had convinced hi, that he needed a bit of styling… which not only meant a new hair-do but also a manicure, pedicure and some make-up… eh eyeliner around his sapphire blue eyes to highlight them.

“Open it… it the ´something new` part. It´s a little gift from Iruka, Tsunade and me,” Sakura said cheerfully as he finished the polishing of Naruto´s nails. She had already seen the gift tables for her nii-san and Sasuke-kun… and it would take them days to open all the presents… and a small gift like this would sure have been lost in the wrappings of the other gifts.

Tanned fingers opened the wrappings very slowly… partly because the manicure was still hurting him and partly because all eyes were on him. As the golden wrapping was off he held a small brown box from a jewelry store.

He opened it and instantly his blue eyes grew wide.

“Oh god… this is… beautiful. How did you?” Naruto marveled as he looked at the contents of the box.

“We had it custom made… there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world.” Iruka said as they watched Naruto pick up the silver pendant and caress it with his fingers. His blue eyes sparkled as he studied the gift intensively.

“… It´s fantastic… I love it thank you all so much.” Naruto got up from the chair and hugged everyone.

“I wasn´t in on the gift… as I didn´t know that you were going to get married.” Kushina said softly as her oldest son wrapped his arms around her.

“That might be so… but you told me about our family traditions and allowed Sasuke and me to borrow the kunai to make the blood oath… thank you, Kasan. I´m so happy that we have finally found each other again… I love you and Otousan and hope that you´ll stay in my life from now on. You´ll be a grandmother in six month after all,” he chuckled and wiped away the tears that ran down her cheeks.

“Of course we´ll stay in your life… you are our family and we love you too, Naru-kun…” The red-headed woman whispered as she helped her son to add the combined Uchiha fan and the Uzumaki swirl to the silver chain with the blue sapphire pendant he had won from his Baa-chan all those years ago.

“Are you ready?” Hinata asked as she peeked through the door to inform Naruto and the others that the ceremony was about to start. “You look stunning, Naruto-kun… Sasuke-sama will surely faint from blood loss,” she giggled before she closed the door behind her.

“As if he would,” Naruto chuckled as he made sure that he looked good enough to get married to his teme.

Ryu rocked back and forth on his feet next to Hinata, Ino and the approaching Sakura. Naruto had asked him to carry the kunai and the rings while Iruka would accompanying him while Kakashi was supporting Sasuke, but he was so nervous that he felt like he was going to be sick.

He nearly fainted at the pretty raven-haired girl with the cute blush placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Are you alright, Ryu-kun?” Hinata asked with concern. The tanned teen looked a bit to pale to her likings and she just wanted to make sure that he was o-k.

“Hinata-sama… I-I´m fine… I´m just… n-nervous that I might make… a m-mistake or something,” he stuttered.

“Just concentrate on your breathing… That´s what I used to do when I felt nervous.” She told him.

“Did it work?” Ryû asked.

“… Not always… but in the end I got over it… Don´t worry… all eyes will be on Sasuke-sama and Naruto-kun… they are the center of attention.” She smiled reassuringly at him.

Tsunade, the fifth Hokage of the hidden village of the leaf stood in the center of the flower decorated pavilion. Her hands trembled in anticipation and she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Her little gaki was going to get married… to non other than his best friend.

She corrected her official robes as the bells scattered the low chatter of the guests. It was finally time… this was the event that everyone had been waiting for a long time.

The bells went silent and the entire room stared at the plateau where the ceremony was going to be held.

Sakura had joined Hinata and Ryû and Kushina had returned to her seat on the front row next to Naruto´s godfather Jiraiya, Gaara and Kira.

The room was filled with people from Konoha, Suna and the Sound. A few had even traveled the long way from Kimi no Kuna from the wave (Tazuna, Inari and their family) as well as far as the Snow (The princess Yukie – from the 3rd movie XD).

Naruto and Sasuke opened the door to their individual rooms at the same time. The rooms were facing each other and led to the center of attention; the stage that would be the place where they would join each other in a new bond… the bond of marriage and where they would become a real family.

Sasuke held his breath as Kakashi walked next to him towards the most stunning sight he had ever seen. Naruto… his Naruto was approaching him with Iruka walking next to him.

His blonde spouse was smiling brightly at him. ´Oh god… he looks… so… perfect… I still can´t fully comprehend that he´s mine… I´m the luckiest man alive.` He thought.

Naruto was wearing a light blue yukata and lose black pants. The girls had combed his shiny bright hair backwards and added something that made the golden locks sparkle like a rare gem.

Dark eyes fell to Naruto´s sapphire blue eyes that emitted promises of endless love and affection as their eyes locked. ´I love you.` was the message that was said wordlessly between them as they stepped onto the plateau to stand next to each other.

Sasuke´s gaze wandered from Naruto´s eyes to those kissable pink lips before something shiny around his lover´s neck caught his eye.

There next to the sacred blue crystal hung another pendant. He reached out before he even noticed it and touched the unfamiliar symbol of their union.

“This is new,” The Uchiha whispered as pale fingers brushed over the cold polished metal. “I like it.”

“It was a good luck charm,” The blonde purred with a whisper. “From Kakashi, Iruka, Sakura, Baa-chan and ero-senin.” Naruto found that Sasuke looked absolutely stunning today. The dark blue yukata with the Uchiha fan on the back was a perfect contrast to Sasuke´s pale skin and his dark-eyes and raven-colored hair.

Sasuke smiled at his beloved Dobe; grabbed a tanned hand and gave it a soft squeeze. He was a bit surprised to discover that Naruto was trembling too. ´I guess I´m not the only one who is anxious,` He thought with a smile.

“Dearly beloved,” Tsunade stepped in front of the young couple who seemed lost in their own little happy moment. She couldn´t help but to smile as it was obvious to everyone that these two were deeply in love… No, not just in love… they were made for each other.

Naruto and his Sasuke turned to face their former Hokage; still holding hands.
“We are gathered here today to join this man and man in holy matrimony.” The busty woman said. Cheers from the crowd caused the couple in question to look over their shoulder and flash a smile at their friends and family.

“And it´s about time!” Kiba´s voice was heard clearly through the crowd. Both Naruto and Sasuke chuckled as Tsunade threw her book at the dog-nin.

“Inuzuka, shut up.” She shouted which earned her a cheerful laughter from the guests.

´Damn, there goes my manuscript,` she thought. ´I better come up with something just for the brats.`

“Uchiha Sasuke; you have had a rough start on life with all the things that has occurred in your past. Uzumaki Naruto; you too have had a life filled with obstacles… but both of you have overcome all the bumps on your own… and together.”

Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other. It was true… their lives had never been easy… but it had made them stronger and urged them to go on… to fight for the life they wanted… and in the end it had ked them here.

“Your lives have always been connected by invisible bonds… and today we are going to bind you together by making this bond visible for everyone to see.” Ryû stepped forward with the rings that had once belonged to Sasuke´s parents. ´We have something from each our families… Naruto´s parents sacred kunai and my parents rings… perfect,` the Uchiha thought happily.

“Do you have your wows?” Tsunade whispered as she took the pillow from the Naruto´s younger brother. Both Naruto and Sasuke nodded.

“We will now witness the exchange of the rings.” She told the crowd as Sasuke took his mothers ring.

“Naruto… I have done many things in my past to hurt you because I thought that you were my greatest weakness… but then I realized that I was wrong. You aren´t my weakness… you are my strength, my hope and my light. I have never loved anyone except you… and I never will. You are my one and only and I will be happy to spend rest of my remaining life to make you and our children happy. Uzumaki Naruto… Dobe … I love you… will you accept this ring and become mine?” Sasuke asked with a smile. Naruto´s bright blue eyes trembled slightly with pure happiness at his Teme´s declaration of love. He offered Sasuke his hand and watched as the beautiful ring was slid onto his tanned finger.

Sobs and the sound of someone blowing their nose could be heard as the Uchiha admitted his feelings and kissed his blonde on a scarred cheek.

Tsunade coughed as it wasn´t tradition to kiss before the end of the ceremony. Naruto grinned at her with a faint blush as he picked up the slightly larger ring from the blue pillow.

“Sasuke… We have always shared something special. We both grew up alone and felt that we didn´t quite fit in. Where so different and yet so alike.” Sapphire blue eyes meet with coal-black ones as their hands connected.

“I wanted to express my feelings for you… but words just don´t seem to be enough. The day as we were put on the same team something changed in my life. I found a friend, a rival… and someone to love and respect… someone who tested my strength… someone who gave me the will to fight for my dreams. My first kiss was shared with you… and you will be the one who gets the last one too. I love you and I´m proud and happy to be yours… with my body and soul. You fulfill my dreams… You complete me, Teme… and I will look forward to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you with all my heart… please accept this ring and I´m yours… forever.” Naruto said softly as he slid the golden ring onto Sasuke´s ring finger.

They smiled lovingly at each other before they turned their attention to Tsunade how was wiping away a few tears.

“That was so cute,” She whispered softly.

Iruka and Kakashi agreed with a nod as Iruka blew his nose. The nearly married couple turned to look at their guests whose eyes was filled with tears of happiness.

“Before you can be connected by this sacred bond… you have expressed the wish to be connected not only by visible sighs… but also by blood.” She motioned to Ryû to bring forth the other pillow with the polished kunai on it.

She took the treasure of the Uzumaki family and handed it to Sasuke.

“With this blood I swear my love to you. This connection of love and blood will unite us for all eternity… I Uchiha Sasuke bind myself to you, Uzumaki Naruto… I love you, Dobe.” Sasuke made a cut across his palm before he handed the kunai back to the Hokage.

Tsunade nodded and handed the weapon to Naruto.

“With this blood I swear my love to you. This connection of love and blood will unite us for all eternity… I Uzumaki Naruto bind myself to you, Uchiha Sasuke… I love you, Teme.” Naruto smiled brightly… as if he didn´t even feel the pain of the kunai cutting through the skin on is palm.

Ryu took the kunai from Tsunade as she connected Naruto and Sasuke´s hands; mixing their blood.

“Two hearts become one in unity – one life shared together forever!” She declared as handed them both a cloth to wipe of the blood while she made the lovers face each other.

“By the power invested in me as the Hokage of Konoha-gakure… I announce you: Husband and Husband… you may kiss.” Tsunade said with a smug grin.

Everyone rose to their feet and cheered as Naruto wrapped his arms around his Sasuke´s strong neck and shared a sweet kiss with his soul-mate who rested his hands on Naruto´s hips.

Tsunade placed a hand on each of the newly weds shoulders and congratulated them. She walked in front of them down the aisle while friends and family watched them before joining behind them.

Outside the newly build Hokage tower of the Sound waited the entire city; cheering and throwing rice high in the air as the newly weds exited the tower.

Naruto grinned and dragged his husband close; kissing him in front of the entire village. Cameras flashed and nearly blinded the young lovers while the rice filled their hair and clothing.

The professional photographer took a lot of pictures of them… alone and united with their friends and family.

“I wish we could go back home by now,” Sasuke whispered into golden locks as Tsunade ushered them back inside. The party, which was held on a different floor in the Hokage tower, was about to start and they were the center of attention after all.

“Me too… but they will all be leaving tomorrow… so let´s enjoy our friends company while it lasts, ne.” Naruto purred before he kissed Sasuke´s slightly pouting lips.

“I love you, Naruto Uzumaki-Uchiha.”

“And I love you too, Teme,” the blonde grinned as he dragged his husband back inside.

The food was perfect and so were the flower decorations. Both Sasuke and Naruto were soon bored to death by the many speeches and were actually looking forward to be cutting the huge cake.

Naruto smirked teasingly at his Teme as Sasuke handed him the first piece of cake.
The foxy blonde smeared the cake in the Uchiha´s face and the guests loved it. Kiba even fell to his ass as he couldn´t stop laughing… or maybe the five glasses of champagne and the half bottle of wine had something to do with it.

Sasuke just shrugged his shoulders and returned the favor and smeared an even bigger piece of cake in Naruto´s grinning face.

“I don´t really like sweets but that whipped cream look good on you, koibito.” The Uchiha smirked as he ran his tongue from Naruto´s chin to his ear; licking off the sweet desert.

Kakashi said something about that other people wanted some cake before they newly weds went at it as Sasuke made an attempt to eat Naruto alive by licking the cake of his skin before they shared a passionate kiss… in front of everyone.

At midnight came closer, the crowd began to surround the dancing lovers while clapping their hands. They stepped closer and closer till Naruto and Sasuke were pressed tightly against each other. Both were grinning as they tightened their embrace.
“Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss.” The crowd cheered as the strokes of the clock was audible.

“Should we give them what they want?” Sasuke purred into Naruto´s ear.

“Hell yeah, I would never say no to a kiss from someone as gorgeous at you,” Naruto grinned.

They stopped dancing and looked deeply into each others eyes while the distance between their lips decreased.

Everyone watched as their lips meet in a sweet mind-blowing kiss at the final stroke of midnight.

Kushina and Ryu hugged Naruto and shook Sasuke´s hand as they were about sneak out of the party as they both needed to get some rest.

“I´m happy for you both.” Kushina said. “I´m happy that we had this opportunity to be a part of this important day in your lives.”

“Thank you Kasan… we are both happy that you could be here too… See you both tomorrow.” Naruto hugged them again before Sasuke dragged him out into the night.

“So they left?” Jiraiya asked as he watched Kushina and Ryu wave at the open door.

“Yeah…just now.” Ryu stated.

“Good… Now come back in and celebrate with us. Iruka has already arranged a room for you at the hotel so the lovers can enjoy a little time just the two of them.” Jiraiya slid Kushina´s arms beneath his and dragged the mother of his godson back to the party to drink a toast for their favorite blonde´s happiness.

Naruto untied the sash of his light blue yukata slowly while Sasuke watched him hungrily. The pale Uchiha sat on their bed; shirtless, drooling over his husband.

“Like what you see, koi?” the blonde purred as the yukata dropped to the floor with a soft sound. He untied his pants as he stepped closer till he was standing between his significant half´s parted legs.

“Oh yeah… I love everything about you, Naru-chan,” Sasuke hummed as he grabbed the blonde by the hips and kissed the tanned stomach that soon would show the fruits of their union.

“You better as we´re stuck together for better and for worse, Teme.”

“Hn, I love the thought of that… Uzumaki-Uchiha-chan.” Sasuke purred as he dragged his blonde down on the bed with him; claiming his lips in a heated kiss.

None of them had the energy for hot love-making so they settled on cuddling close to each other; sharing the warmth of their bodies as they drifted into a peaceful sleep after a day filled with excitement and happiness.
