PS: Last but not least, here's Sakura's POV of everything that happened earlier that day)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sakura happily accepted the baby-sitting job as Hinata grabbed an umbrella, saying she needed to go buy some more ramen.

"He's sleeping now, so you won't have to worry about him much."

Sakura nodded and smiled as Hinata left, closing the door behind her. Sakura herself soon stood up from her kitchen table and headed into the living room where she laid down on the soft couch. She yawned a little...The rain always, always made her sleepy. As she drifted in and out of sleep, she was reminded of the events that lead her to where she was now. Sakura remembered sitting up in bed, pulling a soft, white blanket to her bare chest as Sasuke stood up and dressed.

"A mission, Sasuke-Kun?"

"Yeah. Didn't Tsunade tell you about it?"

Sakura shook her head, noticing the rainy clouds just outside of Sasuke's large window. She'd been staying at the young Uchiha's home ever since they'd become lovers, however, she'd only spend the nights there, nothing more. Maybe make him breakfast or dinner, but really, nothing more. They both kept themselves busy with training and such, making them both anxious to see one another when they arrived home later on that night. Sakura watched as Sasuke slid into a simple pair of black pajama pants, despite the fact it was going on noon. They'd both slept soundly from the previous night, however, Sakura found herself abruptly awakened when she felt Sasuke's tongue between her legs...She moaned a little, rubbing her thighs together, despite the fact they'd made love maybe three times since then. Sakura stared at Sasuke's muscular back with a blush until he turned to look at her. He smirked at her as she blushed, almost as if being caught for looking at him.

"What?" Sakura blushed with a small pout.

Sasuke looked at Sakura as she turned her attention outside to the falling rain. He could smell the rain hours ago, before it even began to pour. He stared at the naked Sakura who was sitting with her legs somewhat out, yet brought to her body. A single, feminine hand held his white blanket to her supple chest, yet on that beautiful chest...was a very ugly memory. He hated himself for what he made Sakura do to herself, but she said she'd forgiven him. Even for that night at the inn when he was surprised by the X-shaped scar across her chest. Sakura took his surprise for disgust and she instantly ran, not wanting to look him in the eye. Since then, things had gone form awkward conversations to planning for future children. They'd made such progress in a small amount of time. He sat on the bed, leaning over and kissing the back of Sakura's shoulders.

"So...what are you thinking about?"

Sakura looked down, a small blush on her face.

"You love me, nee, Sasuke-Kun...?"

Obviously taken aback by the question, he huffed and turned to look away from her.

"Baka...what kind of idiotic question is that?"

Sakura allowed herself a smile...That usually meant a 'yes'.

"So...how long are you gonna be gone, Sasuke-Kun?"

Sasuke turned around and looked at Sakura who was staring at him a little sadly. He reached for her short, pink hair and sighed.

"I'm not sure. Sakura, you know the list of Yonnin, right? Who's on the list?"

Sakura sighed, not exactly wanting to disclose such personal information. Especially to a former traitor of Konoha. She hated herself for even thinking about Sasuke like that. As if she couldn't trust him. She sighed, resigning herself to the question.

"Uzamaki Naruto, Nara Shikamaru, Hyuuga Neji and yourself, Uchiha Sasuke."

Sasuke nodded, still a little surprised when Tsunade had told him he was to be a Yonin, even after his betrayal to Konoha.

"I even heard there was to be a fifth shinobi added, thus making your Gonnin."

"Why?"

"It was a last-minute decision by Tsunade-Sama. She thought it'd be best to have five as opposed to three or four."

"So when will we meet the next shinobi?"

Sakura shrugged.

"I'm not sure."

Sasuke shrugged and Sakura watched as he laid his head on her naked lap. She scratched his soft, black hair and smiled warmly at him.

"Oh, yeah, what did you want to tell me earlier?"

Sakura's fingers froze in the process of running through Sasuke's hair which caused him to open his eyes. He opened them just in time to miss Sakura's look of worry, masked with that of a smile.

"Just that I want you to be safe, Sasuke-Kun."

He smiled, well, smirked, kissing her head as he sat up.

"No need to worry about me."

Sakura nodded, turning her head off to the side.

"Too bad it's still raining, huh?"

"Sakura,"

She looked at him, smiling. He laid down, looking at Sakura.

"Let's take a nap."

"A NAP, Sasuke-Kun?"

Sakura watched him give one of his gentlest smiles. She laid down beside him and blushed, returning his smile with her own. He closed his eyes, as Sakura did hers. Within moments, they were both sleeping silently. It had been several hours later when Sasuke was awakened by the loss of warmth by his side and hearing someone sound as if they were throwing up. Sasuke instantly sat up, looking around when he didn't see Sakura by his side.

"Sakura-San...?"

She walked back in the room, a smile on her face.

"What's wrong, Sasuke-Kun?"

"Are you okay?"

She nodded with a smile, trying to ignore the horrible taste in her mouth.

"Of course, Sasuke-Kun!"

"I thought I heard you..."

She shook her head with a small grin.

"I'm sorry, you must have imagined it. Sakura sat on the edge of the bed and sighed a little. She felt so sick and she knew why. What bad timing with Sasuke leaving so soon...He abruptly sat up with a loud yawn and sighed.

"I need to go. Hold down things here for me, will ya?"

He put his hand on her head as if petting her. She blushed, looking up at him and nodded.

"Hai...Sasuke-Kun."

And just like that, she watched Sasuke get dressed. Sakura had things to do at Tsunade's so she showered and got dressed as well, walking beside him. He had to go pick up Neji and Shikamaru, so he just kissed her and told her he'd see her at Tsunade's. But...as Sakura walked through the rain, she didn't have the heart to tell him goodbye. Not just yet. When she arrived at Tsunade's she told her to tell Sasuke she'd left early. Tsunade of course asked why...but Sakura didn't want to admit she didn't want to say goodbye. She was such a coward...It wasn't until she was told to go fetch Naruto from his home that Sakura had literally ran past Sasuke, as if not wanting to look him in the eye.

Sakura opened her eyes upon hearing the front door to the house open. She'd almost forgotten she was at Naruto and Hinata's and was very surprised upon seeing TenTen and the Suna daughter, Temari. The girls all looked at one another and it had been obvious...Every single one was struggling.

"Temari-Chan, TenTen-Chan, you girls can use the bath to clean up. You can borrow some of my clothes for the time being and...while we're at it, why not make this a sleepover?"

Everyone looked at Hinata who could only smile. The girls all agreed, but knew on that night, there would be tears that fell just like the rain outside. Hinata prepared tea while Sakura went for extra blankets upstairs. She also checked on Hikaru who was wide awake and ready for some attention. Sakura giggled a little, picking up the chubby and happy baby. She was of course, surprised the baby was so strong and healthy after barely two months...But she also figured that had something to do with Kyuubi. She changed the baby, putting him into a pair of blue pajamas with footies and hoped her baby would be just as healthy and active. Moments later, Hikaru was sitting on Sakura's lap, playing with her long-sleeved night shirt, borrowed from Hinata. Sakura felt a little odd wearing something she knew belonged to Naruto, but she would get used to it. Naruto's own personal scent almost smelled like Sasuke's. Maybe it was that whole masculine scent all men had. TenTen was sitting on the couch besides Sakura, dressed in a short-sleeved pink shirt, courtesy of Hinata while TenTen, sitting on the futons spread out in the room covered with various colored blankets, just wore a long, black t-shirt. Both TenTen and Temari had their hair down from getting cleaned up in the bathtub. Temari stretched out on her back with a sigh, staring up at the pretty, cream-colored ceiling.

"I wonder...how they're doing...?"

"Well, Tsunade-Sama did say if things get bad, she'd send out the fifth Yonnin, making the Yonnin, Gonnin." Sakura sighed.

TenTen looked at Sakura as she played with the baby.

"I wasn't aware that there were more than four."

Hinata walked in with the tea and kneeled down beside Temari, placing the tray of tea in between them. The girls took the cups while Hinata stood up, holding out her hands for Hikaru.

"It's time for this one to eat."

Sakura smiled, not bothering to blush when Hinata sat down, unbuttoned the top buttons on her night shirt and put her baby's lips to her breast to feed. Instantly, the baby locked it's tiny lips around the much-appreciated source of nourishment. The girls all smiled as the blonde baby enjoyed it's meal, wondering if they'd make good mothers like Hinata. It was definitely obvious: Hinata was much stronger than she often let on, but she didn't like to let people know of her strength unless necessary. As the girls drank their tea, they talked about the events that led them to where they were now. By the time Sakura had finished her story, most girls realized that in the time the men were gone, they'd need to look out for one another. By the time all of the tears had been cried, TenTen, Hikaru and Temari had fallen asleep, leaving Hinata and Sakura awake as they walked upstairs to place the sleeping baby in his crib. As Hinata pulled the blankets over him, she smiled at her baby.

"You know, Sakura-Chan...I think you're ready to be a mother."

Sakura's eyes widened, yet Hinata continued to make sure her baby was comfortable.

"You're smart, wonderful and caring. You're loving and dedicated and strong."

Hinata turned to look at the surprised Sakura who was probably trying to figure out how she knew so soon.

"Nee, Sakura?"

Sakura broke down once more, wrapping her arms around her best friend, tears pouring from her eyes.

"I...I'm so scared....! I haven't even told Sasuke-Kun! I didn't even say goodbye to him because I knew I wouldn't be able to deal with it! How am I supposed to be a good mother when I'm such a coward...?!"

Hinata hugged her dearest friend tightly with a sigh.

"I was afraid too. Do you know...?"

Sakura nodded against her chest.

"Because of the chakra flow, I can tell it's a girl..."

"How wonderful!" Hinata smiled.

Sakura looked up at Hinata, all tears.

"B...but what if I'm not a good enough mother? I can't bare to let my child down...Oh, gosh...! What about Sasuke-Kun?! What if he doesn't come back...?!"

Hinata shook Sakura for all she was worth.

"LISTEN to yourself! Sakura, Sasuke-San survived a fall from a cliff that was higher than the Hyuuga estate! He WILL survive, Sakura-Chan! You must have more faith in Sasuke's return! He came back once, right?"

Sakura buried her face in Hinata's chest, grabbing her wrists for support and bawled.

"He'll return as many times as he needs to because YOU are here, Sakura-San. Remember that."

Sakura was grateful for Hinata understand her so much. If anything, Sakura knew that Hinata was more than just a mother to Hikaru...She was a big sister/mother-figure to the rest of her friends...Despite Hinata's being the youngest. Sakura and Hinata descended back downstairs, both instantly falling asleep. As Temari, Hinata, Sakura and TenTen all rested, they dreamed of their precious, loved ones returning, safe and sound.
