The beauty after the storm

Yuudai shifted in his seat. It was morning and everything seemed so different. His mother was moody and pissed off. Naruto looked up from his bowl of cereal. Daichi and Gaara were still asleep and soon after his ‘confession’ last night Naruto had stormed off to bed. Yuudai looked down at his toast and shifted trying to avoid eye contact with Naruto. The tension was thick enough to cut through with a kunai.

“Have you… and… Base was it? Had sex yet?” Naruto asked dryly taking a vicious bite of his cereal. Yuudai winced a bit. He hated lying to his mom and honestly had no idea why he said Base was his boyfriend. He blushed biting his lip. The teen was handsome, kind, gentle, and good with his family, loyal, and drop dead HOT when he wanted to be, but the teen was also a wolf god. He could have gotten a ton of girls and there was no way he was interested in Yuudai Not that I care. Yuudai frowned and took a breath looking at Naruto.

“No… we haven’t… I’m still too young.” Naruto relaxed a little feeling a ton of stress being lifted off his shoulders. Naruto sighed taking another bite, again silence. Yuudai looked out the window and frowned. He was rather mad his mother would think Yuudai was sleeping with someone. He was only eleven years old! Sure he acted older a lot of the time but he was still a child!

“Mornin’ mama!!” Daichi giggled latching onto Naruto’s arm. Naruto smiled softly at Daichi holding the boy close kissing his head.

“Good morning sunshine, you hungry?” Daichi beamed nodding and clapping.

“Yes YES!” Naruto chuckled sitting the smaller boy down before walking out of the dining area and into the other room leading to the kitchen. Yuudai pushed his cereal around in his bowl. Daichi inched over to his brother peeking at the bowl.

“Yuu otay?” Yuudai looked at his brother and smiled nodding slowly.

“Yeah Daichi, I’m fine, just a lot on my mind.” Daichi nodded slowly watching his brother with worried eyes. Daichi brightened up seeing Naruto walk in with a bowl of cereal. Daichi began to eat as soon as the bowl was set down.

“Yuudai, I can’t stop you from seeing this man, I realize this, but I want to meet him. Okay?” Yuudai nodded slowly.

“Okay… I’ll tell him to come over to meet you when we get back to Konoha.” Naruto frowned sitting down, a serious expression on his face. He shook his head slowly closing his eyes.

“You will tell him to come over for dinner tonight to meet everyone, or ELSE.” Yuudai paled. Meeting Naruto was one thing, but Gaara… Base may be a god but he would be dead the second the sand Nin met him. Yuudai closed his eyes. He knew better then to piss Naruto off.

“Fine…” Yuudai got up from his seat walking to the front door. He pulled his hair back tying it in place, slipped his shoes on and walked outside. He looked at Bay then glared.

“Thanks a lot asshole.” Bay smirked his tail wagging.

“Oh? It’s funny is it? Well, you’re coming to dinner.” Yuudai said before jumping onto the roofs running off. Bay laid there his eyes wide then narrowed slightly. Yuudai wanted to play that game? Fine.

Yuudai shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He looked up at Naruto and Gaara, then back to his feet. Bay was gone by the time he’d gotten home. He explained to Naruto that he’d sent the dog home since the heat was obviously getting to him. It may have been October, but it was still hot in Suna. It was the desert after all.

Yuudai got up from his seat and walked to the door slipping outside. He took an unsteady breath. He didn’t know why he was so freaked out and nervous! It’s not like Base was his real boyfriend. It was just a lie to get his mother off his back.

“You sure it’s safe if I go in there?” Yuudai looked up and tensed. Base was standing in front of him, wearing a tight pair of black pants and a white shirt. The boy’s hair was pulled back into a high and neatly done ponytail.

“You look like you’re going to have a heart attack.” Yuudai glared then sighed lowering his head.

“If you hadn’t of run off like the chicken shit you were, I never would have had to tell my mom anything! And he wouldn’t be demanding to meet my ‘boyfriend.’” Base smirked lightly. He really enjoyed Yuudai calling him that.

“Fine, honey.” Yuudai glared as he led the older teen into the house. Base smiled, his eyes closed as he walked in after the smaller brunette, his hands in his pockets. Yuudai stepped to the side to let the older boy in. Base didn’t look up, he just jumped back right as a kunai hit the floor at his feet, embedding into the wood. Yuudai looked over at Gaara and glared.

“Seriously?! This is WHY I didn’t want you two meeting him!” Gaara smirked at Base and bowed his head.

“No offense, just wondering what you saw in him.” Base smirked bowing his head to the Kazekage. Naruto frowned at Gaara, glaring at the redhead before walking to Base and bowing.

“I apologize for my husb-…. lover’s rudeness. I am Naruto, Yuudai’s mother.” Base smiled, bowing to Naruto and closing his eyes.

“No need for apologies, I understand your lovers actions. I do see where Yuudai gets his beauty from.” Naruto blushed beet red looking at the VERY handsome teen in front of him. Yuudai frowned watching Gaara twitch. This was going to be a long night. Yuudai smiled seeing Daichi walk into the room fighting with his shirt. He hated wearing this damn shirt! It always made him feel trapped. Yuudai walked over stopping the smaller child’s fit with the shirt and beamed.

“Daichi, this is my boyfriend Base.” Daichi looked at Base waving in a hurry then went back to fighting the shirt, but then stopped. He slowly looked back up, his eyes wide. He squealed running to the older teen hugging his leg giggling. Yuudai glared looking at Base suspiciously.

“Well… Daichi sure took to you fast...” Naruto mumbled slightly confused. After the kidnapping Daichi was wary of strangers, especially men, and yet here he was hugging Base’s leg acting like he’d known the man for months! Naruto watched Base suspiciously. Something was up with this boy and Naruto would figure it out.
