~Contaminated container~

Chapter 3

Slowly descending sun brushed the crowns of the trees with the soft shades of dirty orange when Sasuke finally finished filling up the damned lake. This dreadful job seemed to take the best years of his young life as he stood on the grass outlining the pool of water silently. Once again smooth surface glistened peacefully in the glimpses of the dying light, undisturbed and proud of its own very existence. Pride graced Sasuke's features before a grotesque grimace of tiredness lowered the corners of his lips again. Placing both hands on his lower back young male bent backwards slightly, letting out a groan as the shooting pain buried its poison deep inside his every muscle. Not one of his best days indeed.

Still groaning under his breath Sasuke watched the sun disappear behind the dark horizon of the trees surrounding the place. A shuddering breath shook his body. Slowly sliding both hands from his back Sasuke lifted them, carefully scanning scratched palms for any visible damage. Hard work left a few bleeding patches on the smooth velvet skin, but no signs of any long lasting wounds. Aside from sore muscles there was nothing to make him feel so empty. He wasn't even hungry, for as ever attentive Kabuto suddenly appeared next to him a few hours earlier, carrying a lovingly packed bento box and placing it beside Uchiha not without a smirk. Sasuke shrugged at the memory, for he certainly spotted a glee behind round glasses as older ninja scanned half filled lake, only dropping one short comment on how he better finish before the sunset and disappearing just as quietly.

The contents of his lunch box surprised Sasuke when he carefully lifted its cover, steam surging from the inside. A flower made of carrot and proudly topping the rice part of the box made young male twitch. Clearly Kabuto was mocking him, going out of his way to even put some silly decoration on his meal. Although aside from this kind gesture nothing indicated of any malnutrition packed inside the container Filled with all of his favorite treats lunch box sat next to him appealingly, waiting for Sasuke to make his move. He didn't have to be asked twice, for the hard work drained him of any energy and he was simply starving. As he devoured his meal Sasuke couldn't help but wonder why Kabuto would worry about his nutrition. Perhaps an order from above or possibly there was some kind of understanding between two nins, aside from the sarcasm Uchiha was generously showered with. Pondering various possibilities he finished his meal quickly and got back to filling in the empty space with water.

Now raven hair splashed around the pale cheeks and Sasuke stood under gusts of wind letting the coolness soothe his aching body. It was time to go back to his room and as tired as he was young Uchiha wanted to enjoy this appearance of freedom for a moment longer. Sliding scratched palms into pockets Sasuke turned around facing the arch and slowly walked towards the main corridor, supposedly leading to his room. The hallways looked darker than usual, barely catching a glimpse of the fading light from the outside. Cold sweat ran down the small of Sasuke's back as he realized that he hadn't got the slightest clue where his room was. Bits and pieces of last night's events barely settled in his mind and he only had a vague recollection of traveling various hallways before finally reaching the very door he had to find now. Glancing around nervously he bit his lower lip, eventually straightening up and walking towards the unknown. Stupid situation indeed, but if there was even a slightest chance of anyone watching him from the shadows Sasuke wouldn't give a reason to gossip about how the strong and brave youngest of Uchihas got lost in the dark.

Inhaling the damp air of this tomb-like building he walked slowly, scanning the surroundings as much as the dim light would allow. As he passed a few doors Sasuke tried to bring any blurred memory from the deep corners of his mind to help the dilemma. He was tired and angry at himself for not thinking about it earlier. It would probably be better to stay outside and take his chances with the chills of night air than crawling helplessly in the dark in search of the cursed door. The only thing he seemed to remember was a metal door knob painted light red. Anything else just vanished from his memory, leaving space to deliberate various prospects. But in this poor excuse of a light it was hard to make out anything, yet alone distinguish the colors. Though the last door he passed had a knob lacking any color, just plain metal shining weakly, which made him sigh in relief. There was still hope.

Blending in with the shadows surrounding him Sasuke slid along the wall, finally stopping in front of another door. Another nameless one in the series of the doors he passed earlier or would it be the one he had searched for? Palming the knob softly he concentrated on the color of paint covering the handle. The faint light from a few torches scattered along the corridor made it nearly impossible but he caught a glimpse of red in the soon-to-be-determined color and a long sigh of relief rolled off the rosy lips. The shade was slightly darker and deeper than he recalled, but seeing as his memory seemed to fail him before Sasuke decided not to question the possibility of this place having two red handles. He was way too tired to leave any room for doubts, plus he walked for just about the right amount of time to be somewhere close. This morning left fresher impressions and soothing voice deep inside whispered quietly that it was indeed his room.

Taking a deep breath Sasuke turned the knob and pushed the door just slightly to peek inside. The room was dark but the light, lazily flowing from the gap he made, illuminated a small desk and a chair next to a wall. So his bed would be next to the opposite wall, Sasuke pushed the door further widening the opening. Even in this poor light he could see the outline of his bed, veiled by shadows. Convinced just about enough and not wishing to further his search Sasuke slipped inside, closing the door behind him. The lack of illumination earlier helped his eyes adjust to the surroundings quickly. Conveniently enough he did remember that besides the bed and a desk there was nothing to clutter his room to begin with. Removing his garments swiftly and leaving them on the floor as he crept through the darkness Sasuke finally felt the edge of the wooden frame hitting just below his knees. He made it to his bed safely, at last.

In the dark a wide grin stretched his face and soft chuckle rummaged at the back of Sasuke's throat. Diving both palms under the soft sheets he couldn't help the reaction of simple joy while working his way on top of the bed. Soft fabric caressed various bruises and scratches scattered on a different parts of his body mainly soothing the palms with its divine smoothness. Longing to finally lie down and rest his aching limbs Sasuke stretched out under the blanket carefully massaging each calf before bending his legs at the knees and curling into the mattress. Blinking sleepily young Uchiha felt the heaviness in his eyelids and gave in to the healthy slumber gladly, tucking hands under the pillow beneath his dark head.

As he nuzzled the pillow and his breathing took a slow and even pace a formless shadow next to him rustled quietly. A pair of golden eyes sparkled in the total darkness staring at the sleeping boy in a numb amazement. For a few moments those eyes observed the sleeping figure barely a breath away from their owner. Blinking a few times Orochimaru outstretched his arm to touch the shoulder of the unaware Sasuke softly, whispering boy's name under his breath. A muffled gasp and a frown was the answer to this gentle inquiry and he withdrew his fingers from the other body. Watching the slowly raising sheets as Sasuke drew his breaths sannin prodded every possible answer to this questionable situation.

A cocked grin broke across his face as Orochimaru found most logical but totally unsatisfying response to the fact he wasn't alone in his bed. Reason pointed out it was safe to think that Sasuke got lost wandering the long hallways after the tiring day and now was lying peacefully next to him sharing not only the bed-space but his blanket as well. To his own extreme displeasure Orochimaru was a reasonable man. However the fact remained and his young guest was snuggling the blanket close to his face, undisturbed by heavy thoughts and unaware of the flow of images flooding man's mind. At least waking up tomorrow won't be as boring older nin mused at the possibilities of boy's face in the morning.

He raised himself on one elbow wincing slightly as the pain reminded of his injuries yet resisting the urge to lie peacefully while having this opportunity to study Uchiha's face without being caught. The lack of light was hardly an issue for seeing in the dark was a child's play for the trained eyes of the devious man. Ignoring the pain he raised his free hand to brush a few stands of dark locks away from smooth cheeks of the sleeping Sasuke, watching the peaceful expression intently. It was nature's divine power to grace the boy with such feminine beauty, revealing itself even more when he was deep asleep. Deep dark circles under closed eyelids didn't flaw its perfection even in the slightest, only adding to the mystery to the character of the young male, always so serious and quiet. Orochimaru swallowed the impulse to caress this smooth skin and retrieved his trembling fingers from the danger of alluring softness. Patience is a virtue he reminded himself sinking back into mattress and placing both arms on his sides. He'd better follow an example set and get back to sleep.

As minutes passed by Orochimaru found his own advice rather pointless for the fire already burning deep inside was eating him up slowly, running through his veins like awakened lava seeking the means of escape. The warmness of the body next to him was seeping through the invisible barrier, heating up his already inflamed brain with clear visuals. Soft spot sannin had for the young Uchiha could not be easily concealed when the object of his desire was so close, yet further away than while Sasuke was awake. Growling in frustration older male turned on his side, restlessly seeking the comfortable position for his burning body. As his eyes rested on the motionless silhouette, he noted a small frown playing in the depths of Sasuke's face and slowly pulling the mask of horror onto its tranquil beauty. Pink lips parted in a quiet whisper.

"Please no…Itachi. Why...?"

A painful expression followed the low murmur and Sasuke buried his face deeper into the blanket between his fingers, brows drawn together like the wings of a frightened bird escaping the hunter. His hot breaths burned Orochimaru's face as he leaned in to make out the words escaping those lips with every exhale. Clear terror veiled Uchiha's face and he twisted under the sheets nervously, curling up into a small ball of fright and turning to his other side, away from sannin's eyes. Long sigh rolled off Orochimaru's lips as he lifted his hand to stroke the shoulder of the younger male trapped in his nightmare. He saw it happen before but could never understand just how deep this hatred mixed with fear ran in Uchiha's blood. It was haunting the boy, stripping him off the life he could have and driving this promising nin to the road of no return. Revenge was the reason Orochimaru would get this fine body one day, but the path taken puzzled the older man sometimes. Sasuke could have a life, a happy life if he could only forgive the older sibling… Though it would inconvenience Orochimaru greatly…

The trail of his thoughts broke abruptly as the smaller frame crashed against his stomach making sannin gasp for air. Sasuke, still curled into a ball, moved under the sheets and shifted from the edge of the bed swiftly taking up the space between their bodies. Clutching the blanket tightly he muttered something incoherent leaning into stunned sannin comfortably. Orochimaru's abdomen twisted into knots as younger male's rear pressed into him firmly, back curving to match his arch for a snug fit against older man. With bated breath he stiffened under the pressure of the smaller frame, instinctively wrapping his arms around the shoulders of the unconsciously cozy Uchiha. His body trembled. In the silence of the room he could hear the heart pounding in his ears and picking up pace as Sasuke shifted again for a more comfortable fit. Each second stretched out indefinitely, only prolonging the time of boy's rear rubbing against him. Snake's bruised arms, tightly wrapped around the boy refused to move as if filled with lead and swelled to their limit.

"Uh...Sasuke"

Husky whisper made its way out of Orochimaru's throat, dry as a vaporized lake. The irony of the situation brought a muffled chuckle from man's lips as he stroked the boy's arm soothingly, trying to chase away the nightmare from the clouded mind and body. His gentle gesture was far from being selfless for the warm flesh currently curled up against his stomach mutilated any trail of pure thoughts, not that Orochimaru had any. The muscles of his lower abdomen constricted painfully, stiffening the area under the pressure of Sasuke’s ass. Fighting the urge to persuade this heated grinding against his loins older man lay quietly while his solidified body refused to move away from the source of this midnight temptation. Sasuke however didn’t seem to mind the rising temperature of the other source and pushed further ever so contentedly, marrying his bottom with stiff crotch of the man behind him. Concealed by the darkness sannin slid his fingers under the blanket, following the line of the boy’s torso. With soft shuddering sigh Uchiha arched his back further, fingernails digging into the fabric.

“Unn…”

The skin under his fingers felt like silk, smooth and warm it almost pleaded to be touched. Who was he to deny this plea of innocence..? Taking trembling breath Orochimaru trailed his thumb down the boy’s chest, squeezing soft pants out of sleeping beauty. A mark on Sasuke’s shoulder throbbed invitingly, its red glow resonating with sannin’s golden gaze. A devious smirk wrinkled the corner of man’s eye as he lowered his head down to the seal, a tip of his tongue appearing between parted lips slowly, without a hustle and only soft rustling sound accompanied the slick organ. Tracing the tongue around the mark Orochimaru inhaled Sasuke’s calm scent, absorbing each tremble his body gave at the contact. The seal found his master’s touch and burnt brightly spreading black tattoo-like figures and shapes up the curve of Sasuke’s neck and down the shoulder. Soft moan shook the smaller frame and young Uchiha changed his position once more, turning to face the snake with his hands clutched at his chest and arching neck for more intimate caress. Soft features of the boy’s face lacked their previous horror, now exposing a delicate expression tainted by unhidden longing.

Following the small trail of black markings older nin glided his tongue up caressing the tempting smoothness of his future container. The tip of his slick muscle found a sensitive spot at the base of Sasuke’s ear, confirmed by a few quivering gasps and a sweaty palm suddenly pressing at the back of his neck. Amused, Orochimaru leaned in closer to graze the base of boy’s jaw with his teeth, barely marring the flesh and was rewarded with another gasp followed by the slight shift of the body near him. Sasuke’s fingers tightened around his neck and he uncurled his other hand to press the hot palm against the man’s bare chest. The situation was becoming dangerous for this young boy was answering to Orochimaru’s advances but older man had no intentions of damaging such valuable container by taking advantage of his current state. As Uchiha shifted closer straddling the man’s hips, sannin dropped casually, voice rolling against his throat in a husky but loud whisper.

“Sasuke you wouldn’t take an advantage of your superior now, would you?”

The words were clear and loud enough to draw the boy out of his dreamy state and for a second there was only a deathly silence surrounding both men. Slowly withdrawing his tongue from its delicious target Orochimaru watched Sasuke open his eyes, still clouded with mild intoxication. Empty and dark those two orbs stared back at him, seeing only the images of the horrible night and Itachi covered in blood. Constructing almost a sympathetic expression snake man raised an eyebrow, tilting his head and watching a tiny beam of understanding flaring up Sasuke’s eyes. Sanin’s lips spilled poisonous sweetness.

“You missed me that much?”

Boy’s eyes widened as he snatched his hands away from their position and jumped up, shaking the whole bed. Holy shit!
His leg got caught between the sheets and he shook it wildly, staring at both hands and Orochimaru’s face in disbelief and blinking rapidly. Sannin’s face widened with fake concern.

“Hello.”

Shaking his head Sasuke continued staring, mouth opening and closing as nothing came out of his suddenly parched throat. He gaped with his lungs twisting into a tight ball of undetermined tissue, cold sweat dripping down his forehead and chest, cursed mark pulsating painfully. Lowering his eyes and finally managing to take a deep breath he crawled to the edge of the bed in a hurry for a safer distance from his nightmare? and croaked.

“What are you doing here Orochimaru?”

The man chuckled not bothering to hide his amusement. “I should ask you the same question.”

As ninja in him took over, Sasuke scanned the surroundings, making out only a few dark objects in the room just as before and only adding to his disbelief. He cast another suspicious glance at the smirking snake and shuddered. There was no reason why Orochimaru would play such cruel joke on him, and the possibility of the older man sneaking into his room only to deny it now seemed too questionable even for his dazed mind. Still raven-haired boy stared at his superior silently chewing on his lower lip and frowning. Far from laughing matter if he indeed got lost earlier and managed to climb into sannin’s bed and got comfortable enough to fall asleep. What a mess.

Orochimaru swallowed a snicker watching a chain of emotional torment marring Sasuke’s face. He could only imagine the level of embarrassment that could splash a hint of color to the pale cheeks. Black eyelashes fluttered above the intense gaze with each breath, making the deep shadows under crimson lit eyes dance with every inhale. As Uchiha boy shifted under the sheets, unable to get up to just walk away and still clutching the fabric close to his chest, Orochimaru’s gaze slid down the boy’s neck. The small hollow at the base of Sasuke’s delicious throat pulled his eyes like a magnet. Barely visible vein pulsating rapidly nearby only added to the distress of younger male, trying his best to find a dignified solution for this ridiculously strange situation.

Amused by his obvious dilemma Orochimaru lifted his hand, placing two fingers on a blood-pumping vessel under the milky skin of his young guest. Mocking an intimate whisper he leaned closer to the trembling Sasuke and hissed throatily.

“Need help finding your room?”

Spotting a panicky shiver under his fingertips and he smiled, lowering his voice an octave:” Unless of course...”-he traced the line of Sasuke’s jaw with his tongue, down to the throbbing vein and brushed the tip over the hollow of boy’s throat lightly and concluded-”...You’d rather stay.”

Sasuke’s consciousness yelped in distress urging his body to move, kill or do something to snap out of this trance. But he just stared at the sannin blankly without as much as lifting a finger to avoid the touch. Was he serious? His brain couldn’t catch up to the soft caress administered to his neck and weakened limbs refused to produce any kind of reasonable reaction. For gods’ sake Orochimaru was the last person whose touch he was willing to experience. Right? Severely confused by the betraying shaky breaths escaping his dry throat Sasuke gulped, processing the whistling whisper in the pits of his brain. The repulsiveness of the offer made his mind squirm in agony while the body disgustingly leaned towards the touch. Deeply troubled by this battle of his flesh and reason he steadied his gaze at the yellow glow of man’s eyes. It was then he noticed a mocker dilating the pupils encircled by the golden outline, a spark of glee openly laughing at his body’s reaction and silent battle, his confused scowl and shaky breaths.

“Fuck you!”

Sasuke snapped, physically dragging his body out of the line of heat and jumping from under the covers as if stung by a bee. He fought with the fabric desperately, untangling his foot from its confines. The humiliation level was worsened by this delay for he couldn’t leave with dignity. For a moment Sasuke wished he died with the rest of his clan that faithful night to never experience anything even remotely close to the situation he found himself facing. His mind feverishly jumped from one thought to another while he gathered his clothes from the floor and stumbled towards the door. Was he really considering Orochimaru’s offer? Did the man notice his uncertainty? Why on earth would Orochimaru make a joke like that? For a brief moment black eyes met the other pair, still carrying the sight of jest. A sly smirk lifting the corner of snake’s mouth answered them all. He knew .

Sasuke’s stomach filled with hatred and he turned away from the curved lips. To add insult to the injury Orochimaru arched an eye brow, dropping casually.

“Leaving already? Make sure you don’t stop on your way to pay Kabuto a visit. He’s not as attentive to his midnight visitors and follows the motto ‘Kill first, ask questions later’.”

Sasuke exploded. In his mind he was going through various methods of killing the man, torturing him in a thousand different ways and enjoying every last drop of blood drained from his weakened body. Tension whitened his knuckles as he fought the loud blood-curding scream about to rip out of his throat to release an enormous blinding hatred from his lungs. He turned around and Orochimaru met a ghost-white face twisted by an inhuman grimace, framed by the black hair only adding to its unusual paleness. Crimson glare said more than this twitching mouth possibly could. Without another glance Sasuke stormed out of the room, shutting the door behind him with a loud bang. Orochimaru chocked down a short laugh.

Once out of sight young Uchiha leaned against the wall, growling quietly. This did not go well, not at all. And if by some miracle he can find his room the rest of the night looked rather dreary. Sudden memory of the teasing tongue sliding against his skin made Sasuke shudder, in both excitement and disgust. He hated himself for submitting to the touch so timidly, Itachi for dragging him to this path of revenge, Orochimaru for being the only hope to obtain the strength he needed and Naruto...For not being stronger and able to put him out of his misery during their last fight. He hated the whole world... With the pile of clothes in one hand Sasuke dragged his feet moving away from the cursed door with red handle. Towards the darkness, into unknown once again. Away, away from the embarrassment and humiliation. At least for the rest of the night...

In his bed Orochimaru leaned into the pillow, a pleasant shiver running down his spine. As amused as he was that last glance Sasuke gave him made sannin quite uneasy, though he didn’t let the dread linger. As of now Uchiha was no threat to him, and he intended to keep it this way. Narrowing his eyes Orochimaru hissed.

“You can come out now, Kabuto.”

A shadow separated from one of the walls and approached the bed. Eyes behind the glasses met Orochimaru’s and servant nin quivered from the amount of delight splashing within the confines of the yellow glare. Masking his thoughts on a matter by the granite face Kabuto remained still by his master’s bed. Silent.

“Protecting my dignity?”

Snake man smiled noting a faint sign of disapproval touching the corners of his underling’s lips. Kabuto wasn’t quick enough for as ever questing gaze but replied calmly.

“I’m just worried about your well being Orochimaru-sama. Sasuke was rather... displeased with your advances if I may say so and I wouldn’t want you to lose a valuable container.”

“Oh really?”- A familiar smirk graced the man’s features and he scanned the other nin carefully, while his eyes remained cold. “You’re incredibly thoughtful. Though I don’t think it’s my...ahem advances that fumed our young friend.” He pinned Kabuto to the floor with the chilling stare, voice low and deceivingly sweet. “Don’t let me catch you lurking around for a free peep show again.”

An icy wave descended down Kabuto’s spine, vertebrae by vertebrae, and he nodded. “Forgive me Orochimaru-sama. Will there be anything else?”

“Make sure Sasuke makes it to his room.” Sannin waved his hand tiredly, dismissing the man in glasses. “You may go.”

Bowing slightly Kabuto retreated out of the room without another word. Even though he was driven by nothing but his eternal loyalty, his heart sank when he watched his master touch Sasuke with such intimacy. In such short time young Uchiha managed to get the attention and treatment he wouldn’t get in a thousand years of faithful service. Brutal teasing made it a little easier but the shudder rippling through those slender limbs at the contact of master’s tongue with Sasuke’s flesh left a wrinkle between Kabuto’s brows. Too bad the brat might never appreciate what he was longing to receive. With an uncharacteristic sigh Kabuto disappeared in the corridors, following disturbed Uchiha to show him the right door as ordered. His face reinstating its regular stillness as he moved along the walls...

Finally alone Orochimaru twisted under the sheets, trying to find comfort in his suddenly lonely bed. Sasuke’s presence stirred him more than he wanted or bothered to admit. Now the empty space seemed more unoccupied than ever and he lowered one aching hand onto his stomach, tracing the spot where the memory of boy’s rear rubbing against him still kept it in knots. Longing settled in his limbs as mind tortured him by replaying the episode, tense body by his side, heated by the nightmare and distraught by his soothing caress. It was clear having Sasuke around will be more fun than he anticipated, though his current interests furthered their direction in a sudden response Orochimaru found in the younger male. Maybe unconscious, but definitely a clear reaction.

In just a few minutes Orochimaru was fast asleep; fingers sprawled against his rippled abdomen and a peaceful smile on his face.

As the night wore off Kabuto found the poor boy wandering around the various tunnels, without a word leading him to his room and leaving confused Sasuke in front of it. Red handle, its shade just slightly lighter than another one he turned earlier. Too tired to brood over how Kabuto knew to find him he yanked himself onto bed and fell asleep, not bothering to check if he was in a correct room this time. It was by far the second worst night in his life. But his usual nightmare didn’t return to torment him that night and Sasuke slept, his fingers touching the hollow at the base of his throat.

A/N Uh...I’m sorry for not updating in ages? But I do have an excuse. My computer died on me and took everything with it, including the beginning of this chapter. Honestly I was too pissed to continue for I had to reinstall my entire database plus I lots the AMVs I was working on...so yeah, I didn’t feel like writing and losing again. Weak? I suppose. But here I am, back to this couple and...Well Thank you to those who actually managed to make it this far in the story. If you’re still around ><
Please don’t give up on me *sob* I know at least one person didn’t. And for that I’m grateful to her more than she’s allowed to know. >.>
