Chapter 3

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Naruto looked once again at the door he knew he had to get into at some point. But every time he had tried so far, someone had always called him away to teach him something else. It was almost time for his shift to end, so he knew he needed to get in quickly. Especially since he had this urge to go to the building he had thought of last night. He crept up to the door and looked around suspiciously. Nobody was around. Naruto quietly opened the door and stepped in.

The room was hidden in complete darkness, and the sun hadn’t even come down yet. Naruto fumbled for a light switch and finally found one. He turned on the light and noticed why the room was so dark. The shutters covering the windows were made of some metal, so there was absolutely no sun.

“This man must really hate the sun. But with his pale skin, I don’t blame him. He’d probably fry in five minutes.”

He looked around at Sasuke’s rather impressive marble desk. That would be the obvious place to hide information. Naruto began to search through papers, but didn’t find anything that meant anything to him. He sighed and sat down in the chair. Just then the sirens, warning that the day time shift was ending, went off. Naruto just shrugged it off. He had been guarding the front door all day, and Sasuke had never come inside.

“Where would I hide papers incriminating myself? I would probably just burn anything like that. Isn’t that what any smart person would do?” He leaned back in the chair and spun in around. There was a bed. And wow, what a bed. It had to be almost two king sized beds molded together, it was so big. It had four bed posts, with black drapes. Naruto got out of the chair and stepped up closer to the bed. He just knew the bedspread would be something amazing, and the black drapes just heightened his curiosity. He pulled open the drapes and was looking down at Sasuke.

Naruto screamed and jumped backwards. He waited a moment but there was no response from Sasuke. Naruto stepped closer and opened the drape again. “Sasuke?”

Nothing.

Naruto reached in with a shaking hand and placed his fingers over Sasuke’s pulse. He couldn’t feel anything.

“Oh God. Oh God. He’s dead. Should I call for help? No, he’s already dead. I’ve gotta go tell someone.” Naruto turned to run out the door but was jerked back by a very strong cold hand.

Naruto looked around him and noticed Sasuke’s hand was wrapped around his wrist, and he was lying on top of the dead smirking Sasuke.

“What are you doing in my room?”

Naruto fainted.

Sasuke sniffed the air. All he could smell was fresh pumping blood, and with the boy lying on top of him, he could almost feel the blood flowing through him. Sasuke dug his fingers into Naruto’s wrist, as he tried to fight the temptation of feeding. He tried to remind himself that he had a pack of blood waiting to be heated up in his fridge. He took one last lingering sniff, and then rolled the boy off of him and got up.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Naruto woke up to something wet. He jerked up in bed, disoriented. He wiped at his face and held out his hand to examine it, and saw something a pale red color. Immediately he thought of blood. He looked from his hand up to Sasuke and gasped, “What did you do to me? Why am I bleeding? Did you scalp me?” Naruto began patting his head frantically, searching for some source of blood.

Sasuke rolled his eyes, “Idiot, its wine.”

Naruto paused in his search long enough to glare at Sasuke, “You threw wine on me?”

“It’s all I had.”

“I’m sure you had water somewhere. You know it is important to drink water…oh wait, you’re supposed to be dead!”

Sasuke scowled, “Is that why Temari hired you? So you could come and kill me.”

“What? No. I mean, you were dead. I checked your pulse. You didn’t have one.”

“You must have checked wrong.”

“I’m a nurse, I know how to check a person’s pulse.”

“Everyone makes mistakes. Like you being in my room, for instance. Care to explain that one?”

“I was uh…” Naruto put his face in his hands and took a deep breath, the headache had come back, “I can’t deal with you dead people who keep coming to life. And this headache, I’ve never had headaches like this before.”

“People? Who else?”

Naruto looked up; curious as to why that was something Sasuke would be interested in, “This guy at the morgue. He was dead, but then he wasn’t.”

“And the guy’s name?”

Naruto paused suddenly, remembering what Temari had said. “Uh, I never really got it.”

The pain in his head got worse. Naruto groaned and lay back down.

“What are you doing?” Sasuke growled as the boy made himself comfortable in his bed.

“Shut up.” Naruto muttered as he closed his eyes to make the pain go away.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sasuke scowled as the human instantly fell asleep in his bed. He found himself jealous of the fact. Sasuke had never slept well…never since he had become a vampire. It had taken years for him to get used to the coldness, to the constant howling in his head, and most importantly to the deep black hole that resided where his soul once had. It was the curse of being a vampire, the pain of not having a soul. There was a reason why they were called the forsaken. They had no soul to go to heaven with, and no soul to tempt the devil with.

Sasuke paced around the bed. He wasn’t sure why he was thinking of such depressing things. “Worthless human.” He snickered, mainly to express the anger he was feeling about no longer being human.

“Sasuke!” Temari came barging into his room. “Sasuke, what did you do with him?”

Sasuke sucked in a deep breath and turned towards his loud mouthed wife, “What are you talking about?”

“If you’ve killed him, I’ll…”

“Hire someone else to come stake me while I sleep?”

“I never told him to come kill you. He doesn’t even know what we are.”

“Then why did you bring him here?”

“Too help me find Gaara.” Temari hung her head.

“How could a human help you find Gaara?”

“His scent was all over the boy.”

Sasuke turned towards his bed where Naruto slept and scowled. He could take care of a human that was trying to kill him, but one that could help find Gaara was more dangerous. “Gaara doesn’t let his prey live.”

“That’s why I think he can help.”

“Was he bit?”

“There was no bite mark.”

Just then Naruto tossed in the bed, “I’m sorry.” He muttered in his sleep.

“Naruto.” Temari gave Sasuke a weary glance before walking towards Naruto. “What have you done to him?”

“Nothing. He said he had a headache and then passed out.”

“You were trying to read his mind.”

“What’s that got to do with it?”

Temari scowled, “Some humans don’t respond well to the mental invasion, and it causes headaches. With such humans, usually, mind control won’t even work, unless you just really push it. This is why he passed out when I brought him here.”

Sasuke had only been a vampire for ten years, so in all fellow vampires’ eyes, he was still just a baby. So he still made mistakes, but there was so much to learn. If it hadn’t been for his ruthless nature, he never would have been allowed to become lord of an entire vampire clan. But it irritated him to no end when it was his wife that had to teach him things.

Naruto jerked up in bed, with a glazed look in his eyes. Temari had to jerk back, before she was head-butted.

“I’ve got to go.”

Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he watched Naruto, “Mind control?”

“Not mine.”

“Gaara’s.” Sasuke scowled.

Temari didn’t respond.

“Go check on the harem.”

“If you kill him, I’ll make your life miserable.”

“You already do.” He replied, bitterly.

Temari gave him an infuriating look and stepped out of the room.

Sasuke clinched his fist as he watched Temari go. He almost wished he was as violent as Temari seemed to think he was. He walked over to Naruto who was now standing, but oblivious to anything happening around him.

“Naruto, go to the person calling you.”

Almost immediately Naruto ran out of the room. Sasuke slowly followed. Maybe Naruto’s connection with Gaara would benefit him. He could deal with everything tonight.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sasuke stayed as far away from Naruto as he could, while still keeping Naruto within sight. For the past thirty minutes, Naruto had been standing in the center of an abandoned building. It looked like an old cotton gin. Several pigeons and other flying rodents had made it a home.

Sasuke looked down at his watch. Luckily, he was a patient person. He looked back up again, and Naruto had disappeared. Sasuke quickly spun around, and came face to face with Gaara. He took a step back, and felt a pair of arms wrap around him from behind.

Sasuke jerked, surprised Gaara was able to move so fast and get behind him. But before he was able to get away, a sharp pain shot up the back of his body. He didn’t register what exactly had happened until he felt the blade yanked out of his body.

“You’ve still got a lot to learn. I think you’ve bitten more than you can chew. Don’t forget, I owe you five more.” Gaara pushed Sasuke away.

Sasuke held his hand on the bloody wound. He had never been injured after turning vampire, so he wasn’t sure what to expect. Immediately, he felt weak. He fell to his knees. He wasn’t sure he could recuperate if Gaara stabbed him another five times. He risked a glance behind him and Gaara was no longer there. He looked down at his wound; blood was still pouring out, “Shit.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Naruto looked around him, he recognized the building, only because it had been in his thoughts all day long, but he couldn’t remember how he got there.

“You’re late.”

He heard a voice coming towards him from his left. He looked over and saw the bastard who had attacked him in the morgue. “You!” Naruto growled.

Gaara leaned on the wall next to Naruto, “Take your shirt off.”

Naruto was about to laugh aloud at the idea that he would just follow some psycho’s orders, but stopped when his hands seemed to work on their own. He pulled his shirt off and let it fall to the ground.

Gaara smirked and walked around him, his hand softly brushing against Naruto’s bare chest. “I only kept you alive that first night because I knew you were Sasuke’s beloved. But I’ve got to admit, I think you’ll make a perfect pet.”

Naruto shivered at the kind of back handed compliment. He wanted to be touched again. It was a strange feeling. He had never felt so worked up when he was with his ex. He looked up at Gaara, waiting for the next command that would allow him to be touched again.

Gaara leaned up against the wall, reached out, grabbed Naruto’s hand, and pulled the dazed boy towards him.

Naruto pinned himself up against Gaara, eager to feel. Naruto sighed and leaned his head against Gaara’s shoulder, “Do all crazy bastards feel this good?”

Gaara put his hand on the bottom part of Naruto’s spine and pushed Naruto up against his body as closely as he could. “Doubtful.” He muttered as he brought his other hand up and brushed Naruto’s neck with it.

Naruto moaned and threw his head back, not sure why he wanted so desperately for Gaara to pay attention to his neck. But his body hummed, his blood felt like it was on fire, and his neck was pulsing so badly, Naruto wasn’t sure he could survive if Gaara didn’t do something to him.

Suddenly Gaara’s hands left Naruto’s body. Naruto was about to whine when he felt his zipper being pulled down, and a hot palm began stroking him.

“Nhhnn…” Naruto bucked into the hand.

Gaara continued to stroke as he brought his other hand behind Naruto’s head, leaned in, and did his vamp thing. Naruto’s eyes opened wide as Gaara’s teeth sank into his neck. There was no pain involved, just an intense jolt of pleasure.

Gaara began to suck, and as he did so, Naruto’s eyes rolled back in his head as he had a muscle melting orgasm.

Gaara unceremoniously pulled his hand out of Naruto’s pants and licked his fingers clean, as he spun Naruto around and leaned him against the wall, so he would have some sort of support. “Don’t take him to the hospital.”

Naruto only nodded as Gaara turned and walked away, as if he hadn’t just given Naruto the strangest, yet strongest, orgasm he had ever had. Naruto stayed up against the wall for a few minutes, and the longer he stayed there, the less he could remember about what had just happened.

When he was finally able to move again, he reached down and grabbed his shirt, not sure why it was even on the ground. He looked around the building, and couldn’t remember ever coming there. “I’m losing my mind.” Naruto muttered as he walked around, trying to find his way out of the building.

He finally saw an exit and headed for it, only to notice Sasuke sitting on the ground, leaning up against the wall. Naruto scratched the back of his head. The last thing he remembered was in Sasuke’s bed. Why the hell were they out in the middle of no where?

“Sasuke?” He questioned, as he got closer.

“I should have been able to heal it.” Sasuke growled. He looked up at Naruto, “You’re still alive.”

Naruto looked down at Sasuke’s hand, that was covered in blood.

“What happened?” Naruto leaned down and began to bunch his shirt up against Sasuke’s wound.

Sasuke grabbed Naruto’s arms and looked him in the eyes and then frowned, “You don’t remember.”

“Come on; let’s get you back to your house.”

“My house?” Sasuke raised an eyebrow, “Thought you doctors were all about hospitals.”

“I was a nurse. And I can take care of you at the house just fine.”

Naruto put one of Sasuke’s arms around him and lifted him up.

Sasuke tried to push him away, “I can walk on my own.”

“Like hell you can.” Naruto snapped back.

Sasuke didn’t struggle anymore. In fact, Sasuke felt quite comfortable with Naruto’s touch. Sasuke scowled at himself, he would have to investigate that fact later on.
