-Sakura’s Apartment 8:17am-

The figure on the couch stirred. Ino got out under from the blanket that was provided. She went to the kitchen to cook some breakfast, then the door rang. Ino walked to the door and yawned. “Hello?…” She looked up. “Oh, Sasuke! Hi!” Sasuke looked at her. “Hey…”

He walked in and Ino basically did all the talking. “So, how are you?” Sasuke just stirred his food, feeling uncomfortable with Ino. “Uh, is Sakura here?” Changing the subject. “Oh, yeah, she’s still sleeping.” Ino turned around and thought to herself. ‘Man! Sasuke is falling for Sakura, I got to do something.’ Ino got up, “Let’s go for a walk!” Ino grabbed Sasuke’s hand, and lead him out the door.

-Konoha 9:59am-

Ino walked Sasuke around everywhere. She did some refreshment to Sasuke’s head. Sasuke seemed pretty bored with the walk. They even got some ice cream. Ino stopped by her flower shop and to check how everything was. Ino walked in, with Sasuke in her arms, and everything was perfect.

“Oh Ino!” Her mother popped from under the counter, and startled Ino. “Mom! What are you doing?” Her mother was cleaning the counter, “I’m cleaning, this place isn’t going to clean itself,” she also looked at Sasuke. “And I see you have someone with you.” Ino introduced Sasuke, "Ahhh, the famous Uchiha." Her mother awed. Ino and her mother had a pretty long conversation, Sasuke sighed to get their attention.

"Ino, I think you might want to go back on your date." Her mother reminded. Ino gave a little blush, and walked out with Sasuke. "He is not my date..." It was a little whisper.

Ino was having a blast with her dream man, but her dream man was bored.

Sasuke who wasn’t saying anything, decided to go back home. “Wait, Sasuke! I’ll come with you.” Ino jumped from roof from roof with Sasuke. Some people watched as they jumped by, others just ignored them. As they arrived at Sasuke’s door, they were very silent. Sasuke had his hand in his pocket. 'Why isn't she leaving!?' He thought.

Ino was staring at Sasuke. He pretended not to notice. Sasuke was then startled. Ino kissed him!

Ino was grabbing onto Sasuke, who was not trying to push her away, but slide away. Soon, Ino parted from Sasuke. They were both panting, especially Sasuke, who was struggling to escape. Ino was blushing, she waved goodbye to Sasuke and jumped down from his roof.

Sasuke, who was surprised and sort of sick at the same time, got inside his apartment and jumped on his couch/bed. He put his hand over his eyes. ‘Oh god! What have I done!? Ino is in love with me…again!’

After a few hour of a quick nap, Sasuke got back up and made lunch. He cooked some rice, and shrimp. He wasn’t that hungry, but ate anyway. He cleaned up the table and went back to the couch.

“Man, today was not a good day.” Then he thought about Sakura and the battle they had. ‘She was so much stronger.’ He stared up at the ceiling, and then turned to the clock. It was only 11:37. He got off the couch and decided to go to the Hokage's Office.

He walked past many faces, he ignored them all. He knew Sakura was doing her final training until some time later. He wanted to see, how really good she was.

-Sakura’s Apartment 11:37-

Sakura, who was feeling hungry, woke up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her clock. At first she ignored what time it was, then she remembered.

Today was her master training day! She jumped out of bed, and ran to the bathroom brushing her teeth furiously. She combed her hair and ran out of the bathroom and to the kitchen. And grabbed something to eat.

Just as she was leaving, someone opened the door and bumped into Sakura. She dropped everything she was holding, and got up, ready to yelled at who just knocked her down.

Ino rubbed her head after colliding against Sakura. Sakura stood up and turned to Ino. “Ino…why the hell did you do that for! Oh god, I’m going to be so late!” Sakura passed Ino, leaving her friend in confusion. ‘What’s Sakura late for?’

Sakura jumped from roof to roof to get to the Hokage’s office. She ran past everybody, even the ninjas outside guarding the building, ran after her because they thought she was planning an attack or something. When she got to Tsunade’s office, she barged in, out of breath.

The ninjas trailing behind her, who were also out of breath, stopped at the Hokage’s door. “Sorry Hokage…we tried to catch her…,but she was…way too…fast.” They said panting. Tsunade gave a small smile.

“Surely you would know that you can’t catch my apprentice?” They looked up, and they recognized it was Sakura. They straightened, “Of course, please excuse us.” They walked out, closing the door behind them. Sakura walked over to Tsunade's desk and sat down.

“You’re late Sakura. But I can understand from the hard battle yesterday." Tsunade gave a small chuckle. Sakura sighed. “I know, I know. Can we just start?” Tsunade put her pen down and got up. “Impatient one, aren’t you?” Sakura and Tsunade walked out to the field they did their last training at.

Tsunade started throwing Jutsu at Sakura to do. Sakura was doing an excellent job. Tsunade was proud at what could and can do. The sensei watched Sakura and Tsunade. The view wasn’t that good, they were a little high to see clearly. Iruka Sensei was also watching their training. He also took note at what might need improvements.

Sakura was getting tired and exhausted. ‘Just two more to go.’ She continued the hard jutsus. All of a sudden, Tsunade stopped giving jutsu for Sakura to perform. “Looks like someone beside the sensei are watching you.” Sakura turned around to a tree, and saw a figure. She sighed and turned away. “Hokage, let’s finish our training.” Tsunade gave the last jutsu, “Ok Sakura, this is the last one and you pass.”

Sasuke watched as Sakura performed her last jutsu. He was a bit flushed that Tsunade knew he was in the tree, and so did Sakura. Sasuke sat down, and hung upside down on the tree branch to shake everything out of his mind. ‘This is so aggravating.’ While he was upside down, he managed to get a glimpse of Sakura perform the last bit of the jutsu.

“Excellent job Sakura. You passed.” She congratulated Sakura. Sakura was exultant, she was extremely thrilled. She even hugged Tsunade. The sensei from upstairs laughed. Tsunade pulled away. “I’m stilled surprised that after yesterday’s match, you still have your power.”

Iruka and Kakashi sensei appear in front of them. “Well done Sakura.” Kakashi complimented. “Yes, indeed. I would treat you to ramen, but I guess you’re not Naruto!” Agreed Iruka sensei. They started to laugh again.

“Oh yes, Sakura, your guest.” Tsunade disappeared with Iruka and Kakashi. ’<>Thanks for the help Tsunade.’ Sakura sighed. She turned to face Sasuke.

“Hi.” Sakura faced him. “Hey.” They stared at each other for awhile, “Well, I got to go.” Sakura started to walk away. She then stopped. "If you want to say something Sasuke, go ahead." He hesitated, "You got stronger."

Sakura turned around, "Is that what you really want to ask?"

Sasuke put his hand in his pocket, "No, not really."

Sakura waited for her answer, but decided to say something. "What is it, Sasuke? Is it because I've changed, there's something you want." Sakura showed hatred in her eyes again.

Sasuke saw the fire, "True,"

Sakura was at her limit, another word, she would faint. "I must go." She said quickly, and jumped off.

"Yeah, till next time." He mumbled, and walked off.

-Sakura’s Apartment 9:14am-

Sakura woke up with pain on her back. “Oww…” She looked back to see it was a scroll. She picked it up and opened it. “Come over. We have a meeting at 10:00.” Sakura looked down to see it was signed by Tsunade. Sakura sighed and got out of bed.

She did her normal routine, brush her teeth, wash her face, get dress, and eat breakfast. A door bell sounded. Sakura walked to the door, to be surprised be her jumping friend. Ino jumped up and down. Sakura trying to calm her down.

“Ino, calm down. What?” Ino was still jumping. “Sasuke and I kissed!” Sakura who was not surprised. “And, what of it?” Ino was confused, “Aren’t you suppose to happy, and a bit well, jealous?” Sakura shrugged, “I guess not, I don’t love him anymore.” Ino, “Oh”ed.

Ino left, and Sakura waved goodbye. It was almost time to go. So, Sakura decided to walk there, since there was plenty of time. She greeted the towns people. She ran into Naruto and Iruka sensei. “Oh hey Sakura! Want some ramen?” Naruto said, smiling. “No thanks, Naruto. Hey Iruka sensei! You better watch out, Naruto is eating awfully a lot today.” Sakura teased. Iruka waved and laugh. Sakura waved goodbye to them and went to the meeting.

As Sakura walk to Tsunade’s office, she heard someone say, “Come in Sakura.” She obeyed and opened the door. There were not many people at the meeting. “Have a seat.” Sakura sat down on a chair provided for her. It seem to her that they haven’t discussed about anything, then a knock was heard.

Ino came in, followed by Sasuke. “What’s going on?” Sakura asked. “We’re sending you three on a mission. You are to retrieve back one of the royal family heir treasure.” Answered Tsunade.

Sakura was happy that Ino was going with her on the mission, but was displeased by Sasuke. “You will be going to the land of water, there is where you might find the thief.” Said one of Tsunade’s assistant. “Good luck.” They left Tsunade’s office, and headed towards the village gate.

“What I don’t understand is, why did the Hokage said it was a meeting.” Ino questioned. “Oh, I guess, I don’t know.” Sakura answered. Sasuke, who was ahead, didn’t say anything.

Sakura thought they could probably finish the mission before night fall. They decided to pick up their pace. They jumped from tree to tree. Finally, they arrived the land of water. Nothing unusual about the village. They looked around seeing everything was normal. They walked around some more, looking carefully at thier surrounding.

Sasuke suddenly saw someone running away with a sag over his back. We jumped in front of him, and by the looks of it, he apparently stole scrolls. Sakura snatched the bag looked at the scroll, it contain major information. Ino knocked the man out and put the scroll back in the bag. The woman chasing him, thanked them for getting her scrolls back.

“Excuse me, but are you the family that the heir treasure was stolen from?” Asked Sakura. The woman looked up. “Yes, yes we are. You must the ninja’s that were to help us. Please, come with me.” The woman led them to their home, Ino in Sasuke’s arm, smiling. Sakura walking by Ino’s side, completely ignoring them. She looked up at the sky to see what time it was. It was about 1:30pm. ‘Plenty of time.’ She said to herself.

-The Doushi Family-

They arrived at the house. It was almost bare, very hollow. ‘What happened?’ Sakura looked around. The lady who brought them here must of read Sakura’s mind. “What happened was, that the house was robbed, precious antiques, but only the ones that had our signature on it.” Sakura thought for a moment.

“Why would they only take the one with your signatures on it?” Sasuke and Sakura were listening, a little. Ino, who got up and looked around, then she was about to touch an antique. “No! Please don’t touch that!” The woman rushed over and told Ino to stay back from it.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Ino apologized. “Its ok, just don’t touch anything else.” She instructed. Then the door slid open. “Hello.” A tall man stood at the door, and almost looked shocked to see guests. “Dear, have you introduced yourself?”

The woman hesitated, “Please forgive me,” she bowed, and looked at her husband. He gave an approval nod. “We are the Doushi family. This is my husband, and my son, he’s working right now, and...” The three ninjas felt a bit uncomfortable with the silence and the staring. Lady Doushi never did finish her introduction.

“I better start lunch!” She said, breaking the silence betweem them.

They ate silently, and the door slid open again. Everyone looked up. “Ahh, son, please join us.” The young man sat down, and looked at Sakura. Sakura, who knew he was staring, continued to eat. Then his father introduced him, “This is my son, Hojoshi.” Sakura looked up, and saw a handsome face.

Ino, shook his hand, Sasuke did nothing but say hi, and Sakura, he took her hand and kissed it. Sakura blushed. Sasuke gave a low growl. Sakura pulled her hand back. “Excuse me…” Sasuke left the table, Ino followed him.

Sasuke was outside with his hand over face. Ino came out and sat next to him. “Are you ok Sasuke?” Sasuke didn’t answer for a while. “Yeah…” Ino sat behind him and hugged him from the back, luckily, she was hugging him from the neck and not the waist. Sasuke was running over the memory of Hojoshi kissing Sakura’s hand, it disgusted him. Ino pulled back and kissed Sasuke on the cheeks, and walked back in. Sasuke didn’t feel anything.

Sakura was talking to Hojoshi a lot, like she was flirting. She even laughed a lot, which scared her a little. Lunch was over, Sasuke went out to investigate more on the stolen treasure. Ino wanted to come, but Sasuke refused to have a companion, he said it would just be hard to concentrate. So Ino stood out this time. Ino walked back to the house of the Doushi.

She saw Sakura still talking, Ino actually grimaced at her friend for hurting Sasuke. She walked to her friend and said something to her, “Sakura, could you come with my for a moment." Sakura looked in confusion. “But,…” Ino eyed her. “You’re right, sorry Hojoshi, I got to go.” Sakura then walked off with Ino.

Sakura was walking with Ino. Ino stopped and turned around to face Sakura, " I think you should stop with the flirting Sakura." Sakura looked away. Ino sighed, she gave up, for the moment. They walked back, saying nothing to each other.

Sakura was daydreaming for nearly the whole day. Hojoshi excused himself, and went for a walk. Sakura wanted to come, Ino pulled her back. “Ino, what’s wrong with you!” Sakura said, almost screaming. “Sakura, please trust me, something does feel right about him. You just met him, you can‘t trust anything from him.” Sakura scoffed, “Exactly with Sasuke.” Ino nearly exploded, “ You know, if you weren’t my friend, you’ve been dead!” And she stormed out the room. Sakura held back the little drop of pain in her.

Sakura needed to find Hojoshi, she needed someone to talk to. She ran out the door to find him.

-4:37pm-

Sasuke was walking around the village with his hand in his pocket. He thought of the conversation they had earlier before.

{Flashback}

Ino, who got up and looked around, then she was about to touch an antique. “No! Please don’t touch that!” The woman rushed over and told Ino to stay back from it.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Ino apologized. “Its ok, just don’t touch anything else.” She instructed. Then the door slid open. “Hello.” A tall man stood at the door, and almost looked shocked to see guests. “Dear, have you introduced yourself?” The woman hesitated, “Please forgive me,” she bowed. “We are the Doushi family. This is my husband, and my son,…he’s working right now.”

{End of Flashback}

‘No royal family woman, would bow down to commoners, its not possible. Nor would she ask her husband for approval for saying something. Only if, they were…’ Sasuke looked up. There was a fight. “Please! I didn’t do anything, I’m just an old man.” He begged. “We know you didn’t, now give us that gold…” He was cut off by a shurikan.

“Hey, leave him alone.” They turned around to see a little squirt, who was spinning shurikans in his hand. “You want to fight, huh?” The man and his gang walk towards Sasuke. ‘Piece of cake.’ Sasuke dodged and kicked, punched every man that aimed for him. He manage to knock them all out in a short time.

Sasuke helped the old man up. “Thank you, thank you young lad.” he shook Sasuke’s hand and walked off. Sasuke looked at the old man walking away. 'Something about him, is needed to solve this mission.' Sasuke left the bodies of the unconscious men. He kept walking, then he spotted Sakura running, almost about to cry. He followed her, not letting her know that he was.

Sakura looked everywhere for Hojoshi. She kept on running, then she saw him, in a restaurant with another woman, about to kiss her. He was smiling, and so was his date. “Hojoshi…” she whispered when he kissed the woman.

He then looked up and saw Sakura standing there, her fist in her mouth to keep from crying. “Sakura!” He yelled out. Sakura ran the opposite direction from him, she didn’t look back. ’Ino was right, god she was right.’ Sakura ran back to the house.

Sasuke saw Sakura run back to the direction of the house. He followed her, it was getting dark. Sasuke got to the house before Sakura did, he rushed in, to make sure Sakura didn’t see him. He saw Ino being lead to her room, Lady Doushi also Sasuke to his room as she saw him. “Your room will be here,” She showed him a room with one bed, and a lot more antiques.

Sakura arrived a couple of minutes after Sasuke got back. Sakura’s eyes weren’t as red as they were before. The Doushi showed Sakura to her room, it was in between Ino’s and Sasuke’s room, connected to Ino’s. No one ate dinner but the Doushis, they ate silently. After dinner was lights out.

In Sakura’s room, Ino came in to see her friend. “Sakura?” She asked, and her friend looked up. “I’m sorry that I yelled at you before.” Suddenly Ino was being squeezed. “No, no! I’m sorry! I should of believed you!” She cried so loudly. Ino hushed her. Ino hugged her back. “We’re both sorry.”

Sakura talked to Ino for a while. “I thought we could’ve finish this mission by tonight, but I guess I threw us off track.” Ino frowned. “Yeah. You flirt too much.” Sakura hit Ino on the arm, and then they both laughed. Sakura felt better. Ino then left, to Sasuke’s room. Sakura wondered what she was up to. It had only been thirty minutes.

In Sasuke’s room, he was lying in bed, ’Damn that Hojoshi…’ A knock was heard in his room, “Sasuke?…” And Ino popped in. “Oh, hey, aren’t you suppose to be sleeping?” Ino giggled. “I know, I just couldn’t sleep.” She walked toward Sasuke. Sasuke feared of what she might do.

She got closer, and the room got quieter. Ino kissed Sasuke again, even longer than other the other times. She was holding his face so he couldn’t escape.

Ino was the one to pull back first, Sasuke was surprised, and relieved she did. “Your goodnight kiss Sasuke.” She walked out. Sasuke couldn’t believe he didn’t protest about it, he had not enjoyed all the kissing. He decided to check on Sakura, he wanted to see if she ok. He got out the bed and walked towards the door and went to Sakura’s room.

In Sakura’s room, Sakura was staring out the window. She despised Hojoshi, first, pretending to love her, and then cheating on her. Sakura screamed in her head. Someone knocked on the door. “Come in.” She mumbled, and came in Sasuke. She didn’t look back at first, she thought it would be Hojoshi.

“You ok?” Sakura turned around to see Sasuke. “What are you doing here?” Sasuke tried to say something that didn’t include, ‘I was spying on you and saw you run back crying after you saw Hojoshi with another woman’, so instead. “I was just checking on you.”

Sakura turned around and kept staring out the window, “Why would you care?” And she turned around. She was startled, Sasuke’s face was close to hers. He didn’t answer her question for quite a while, he didn’t even answer at all. Sakura couldn’t help but look into his eyes. Just what Sasuke wanted. Sasuke put his warm hands on Sakura’s cheek, and moved closer. He could feel her breath, and the same scent in Tsunade’s office.

Their lips almost brush, Sakura put her hand on Sasuke’s upper arm. “No, I can’t.” She backed away from Sasuke. “I want to complete this mission, I have to concentrate.” Sasuke was disappointed, he didn’t even intend to go this far, yet. He nodded and Sakura added, “Goodnight…” He gave the littlest smile she ever saw.

After Sasuke departure from the room, Sakura got into bed, and reexamine all the clues they have collected. Sakura manage to put piece by piece on the mystery. She even looked around her room, and saw many item that could help her. She closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
