Cause For Concern
A/N: Right then, time to bring back some old friends me thinks. Thank you to all who have reviewed so far, you're the greatest, accept H&k... BTW: In this little world I have created, male pregnancy among Ninja is pretty normal, k? lol, on with the show!!
Chapter 3 ~ Cause For Concern
"Naruto? You look really distracted, are you alright?"
"Sakura... Yeah I'm... Yeah, fine." Naruto said slowly, stumbling over his words as his old friend approached him.
"No you're not, I've never seen you look so serious in all your life. Is something wrong with Sasuke?" She asked, trying to keep the panic from her voice. The years had gone by and some part of her accepted that Sasuke was gay, but another part still longed for it all to be a lie and Sasuke to approach her and say that he had loved her all along.
"Yeah. Fine."
"Don't lie to me Naruto, you're no good at it."
"Well it's just... eh... I can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Sasuke doesn't want me to say anything."
"So there is something wron with him... What is it Naruto? Come on, surly after all these years you can trust me?"
"Well... alright... But you can't say a thing to anyone and you definatly can't tell Sasuke that I told you."
"I won't, I swear!"
"Well... We're kinda having a baby..."
"Oh Naruto! That's great! Wow, if it were me I would be shouting it from the rooftops! Why doesn't he want anyone to know?"
"Well... the think is... it's making him ill. He's been laid up in bed for nearly four days now and doesn't seem to be getting any better. He doesn't sleep well, always tossing and turning and mummering stuff that I can't understand. He's off his food and when he's awake he just sits quietly and paws at his stomach, and you know as well as I do that it's not like Sasuke to be that way. He would usually be trying to get on with things regardless."
"It is unusual... maybe he's just worried about the baby. Finally got a sense or responsability into his head?"
"Maybe, but I don't know what changed. One minute he was walking around just fine and then out of nowhere he just called out for me and he was kneeling on the floor shaking and stuff. It seems a bit weird... doesn't it?"
"So he changed just like that?"
"Uh-hu."
"He should see a doctor, especially if he's not eating properly. It's not just him that he's starving now."
"I know, that's the worst part. I've tried using that as a way to get him to eat but he doesn't seem to care, but still he's obsessed with that bump."
"
"Is he having morning sickness?"
"No, not that I've noticed. He hardly gets out of bed at all."
"Well then it's not that... has anything at all changed that might have triggered it?" Sakura blushed. "You haven't... you know... been sleeping together?"
Naruto shook his head, completely unphased by the question. "Well, I guess we were to begin with... you see, based on his due date, he must have got that way from his first time, and for about a month after that we did it quite often, but then it slowed down and now we don't at all. I can't think of anything that would have caused it, it just happened."
"Well, I can't make you go against what Sasuke wants, but he should see a doctor, it's not healthy, pregnant or not, to stop eating. You'll have to talk to him and if he still says no, then I suggest you take it into your own hands. You don't want to loose them both."
"No. But, he really doesn't want to see any doctors at all, he's said that since the beginning."
"Well then how about a friend? Not me of course, I'm a girl, it's not the same. Maybe someone he can look up to? That both of you trust?"
Naruto smiled. "That's it!" He grabbed and hugged Sakura. "You are totally the best!"
Sakura laughed. "Yeah I know. Now get outa here. If he's in bed then he's going to need you there to look after him." She smiled as Naruto started running back toward the house. "Take care Naruto!" She shouted after him as he disappeared round a corner and out of sight."

"Naruto? Is that you?" Sasuke said weakly, hearing the front door open and close. He rolled carefully over to sit himself up and watched the door, waiting for Naruto's face to appear.
"I had a feeling that this was what was going on here." Came a voice, followed by a face that smiled softly round the door frame. "How have you been, Sasuke?"
A/N: I was gonna go on, but I figured that this would keep you going for now before things start getting all angsty. If you don't like angst then this is the ead of the road, from here on out its going to be loaded until the very last chapter. Love!
