A Breakdown...
Chapter 3 – A Breakdown...

Here it comes. This part should get pretty graphic. And I hope I’m keeping the characters in character. Tell me if I’m not.

The 4th recomposed himself, wiping the drool off his face. “Well...what’s your report?” He asked the jounin again.
The green haired ex-ANBU member shifted her head and said. “The village was the destroyed and the team before us...was killed. The extent of damage is...indescribable.”
“You’re a Genjutsu type...right?” The 4th asked. “Show me instead, than.”
“Ro...Roger.” She said and made a few seals, bringing a small part of the village to them.
And, the sight that surrounded the two was, horrible. The ground was stain with blood and the ground was wet and sticky with it too. A small girl, with Purple ribbons in her hair, a small doll next to her, was laying face up; the bones from her neck down were powderized. Body parts were everywhere. The houses that weren’t destroyed had blood splattered on them along with organs. The 4th looked on in horror, so horrified by the sight he was seeing that he did not hear the door opening. Complete and utter slaughter didn’t even begin to describe the scene. And than the 4th saw it, a white with black flames scarf, with huge blood stains on it. “Kai!” He said closing his eyes and making a seal. “Kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai, kai!” He began mumbling repeatedly to himself, gripping his head with his hands, as if by doing this, what he saw would just go away.
“Kai!” An older and wiser voice said. “Go...and rest.” The man said to jounin.
“Yes Lord 3rd Hokage.” She answered before complying.
The aging Hokage grabbed a trashcan and put it near the 4th. Sarutobi looked at the young man with sad eyes; he knew that this day was going to happen. “It’s alright.” He said to the blonde hair man, who was still mumbling kai. “You didn’t know this was going to happen.” Rubbing the dark ocean blue eyed mans back, comfortingly. “It’ll be alright, little Arashi.”
The 4th lost his lunch in the trash can, and than stared at the former Hokage. “I sent them to their deaths.” This was the first time; an entire squad had died from a mission, after the war. He could deal with Obito’s death. It was a sacrifice in war. A sacrifice he didn’t want to ever happen, but one he was prepared for. He was effected the same, if now more, by Obito’s death, as Kakashi and Rin were. He was not prepared for something like this to ever happen.
“It’s not your fault.” The Professor told his successor.
Arashi closed his eyes and than reopened them. A crazed and wild flame had come into them, and he began giggling. “I sent them to their deaths. I sent them to their deaths. I sent them to their deaths. I sent them to their deaths!” He kept saying, laughing harder with each one.
“No you didn’t.” The 3rd did, and pulled the 4th into a hug. “It’s going to be okay.” He said a sad smile on his face. Ever Hokage so far has gone through something like this. The 2nd Hokage comforted the 1st and vice versa when this happened. The 3rd had both the 1st and 2nd Hokages to help him through this. And now, the 3rd, Sarutobi, was here for Arashi. “Shhh...” Gently stroking his hair.
“I sent them...to...their death...” He said, breaking into tears.
“It’s alright, just let it all out.” Allowing the young man to cry on his shoulder. “Don’t worry. They won’t hold it against you. Just learn from this.” Saying sagely.
The blonde stop after thirty minutes, looking up at graying man and said, “I killed, my father.” This time not repeating it. “I’m the reason he’s dead. I failed him. I failed him like I failed Obito.” He rubbed his eyes, and cleaned his mouth.
The old man released him from the hug, grabbing his hand and helping the young Uzumaki man stand up. “You need to rest.” He said. Arashi opened his mouth, and promptly was interrupted by Sarutobi. “And I’ll do your work for you, for the next few days. Okay?” He said in a way that left no room for discussion.
“Yes, sir.” The Yellow Flash said.
“Good. Just remember this. Every person born in Konoha, whether they are alive, defected, or dead, carries the Will of Fire in them. This Will connects us to each other, it doesn’t matter if we are miles apart, if we have died, or if we have left the village forever, it connects us. Even if I were to die, if you keep your Will alive, I’ll be next to you, teaching. Your father is with and will be until the end of your days. Now go home and rest.” Sarutobi said shooing the young man out of the office.
The 4th nodded and walked back to his house.

Everyone was asleep at the house, except for little Naruto. Rin and Kakashi were leaning against each other, snoring lightly. It was a lot cleaner than when Rin and Kakashi had entered and all the dishes had been washed and cleaned. The 4th looked around and smiled softly to himself. The two had gone out of there ways. Than he noticed something. Kakashi was only in his boxers, and was wearing a towel to cover his eye. “...I think I gave them the talk at the right...” He said and picked up baby Naruto. “What do you say we put those two into a bed. Naruto.”
Naruto nodded and cooed a bit, before giggling a bit.
“Alright.” He said and put Naruto back on the couch. “You stay right there.” He said and lifted up both Rin and Kakashi, and walked into his room, pulling the covers back, and gently laying the two in and covering them up. The 4th silently went to the linen closet and grabbed a big blanket, before heading into Naruto’s room and grabbing his blanket.
Back at the couch, Naruto was still there. He picked up Naruto and laid, on the couch, covering himself with the big blanket, and than covering Naruto with the smaller one, on top of him. “I’ll protect you, little brother.” He said before they both went to sleep.
