---------------------------------------
The gentle hands unzipped his green vest, pushing it back and sliding it off. A tender touch stroked his stomach as the fingers took the shirttail and pulled it over his head, stripping him. Soft lips brushed his chest as the hands explored his upper body. The hot breath on his pulse made him tilt his head, giving the younger man better access. So eager.. Kakashi felt himself grow hard.
"I don't see why I would want to meet with you again," said the soft voice against his throat.
A shock washed over Kakashi. His eyes snapped open. Shit. A dream. He panted hard, his erection diminishing from the fright. He sat up and held his head in his hands. He had been having these dreams night after night. This was the fifth night in a row. He lifted his head; the sweat was drying on his skin. I have to take a shower.
The cold water hit his skin, convincing him of reality. Kakashi leaned with his hands on the wall. The icy water washed over his head and down his back. If Iruka could put the night behind him, why can't I? I'm a freaking jounin, an ex-ANBU, and, as some say, a genius. I should be able to go on with my life and not be obsessed over one night! he scolded himself. The truth hurt. Iruka had gotten over the night, over him. And so should he. There was no point waking up in the middle of the night with nightmares.
Kakashi washed himself quickly and pulled a warm towel from the dryer. He dried himself and wound the towel around his hips. Sluggishly, he walked into the kitchen and made coffee. The rich aroma filled the air. Kakashi put his clothes on and opened the drapes. It was still dark outside.
Kakashi poured a cup of coffee and sat around the kitchen table. He had gone through this four times already. There was nothing he could do to make Iruka change his mind. And it was fine. He did not want a relationship. He did not even know what relationships were about. Sure, he knew the things that belonged in a relationship like dates, and holding hands, and talking, and sex, but what else? The last time he had had a serious relationship he had been under thirteen and it could hardly be called a relationship.
Besides, Kakashi managed better than fine by himself. He did not need anyone in his life. His life was too unpredictable, and life was too fragile. He could not possibly take responsibility of another's heart. He could be killed on a mission and all he would bring the other one was pain. Not to mention, he had gathered many enemies. If the information of his significant other leaked to their ears, Iruka would be in danger. It was best to push the nut-brown haired chuunin from his mind, to cut these strings of affection.
After finishing his coffee, Kakashi put on his shoes. He checked that everything was in order and left his apartment. The sun was rising. He had ample time to go through his morning routines. For years, he had walked this same route every morning. The air was fresh and cool. The village was slowly waking up.
Kakashi stopped. He had arrived at his destination. He hung his head and stared at the white stone with too many names carved into its surface. As he ran his eyes over the carvings, all thoughts faded from his mind. His eyes fixed on the names of dead shinobi, he drifted into his past. How foolish he had been. So cocky, always playing by the book, obeying the rules to the letter. So strict and uncompromising. He sighed. Finally, he understood the choice his father had made, but the lesson had come with too high a price. At that time, it had cost Obito's life and nearly Rin's too. He had been so selfish. So ignorant. Everyone he had held dear had died, one by one. He didn't deserve happiness. Oh no. He deserved all the misery in the world. He had to pay for how stupid he had been.
A sound of footsteps drew Kakashi from his thoughts. He did not bother to look to see who it was. Many visited the memorial stone in the mornings. Kakashi just stood there, keeping his eyes on the names of his friends and family. The steps stopped beside him. The man knelt and laid down a bouquet.
"Here again, Kakashi?"
Kakashi glanced at the man, who was staring at the stone as well. Kakashi shifted his gaze back to the stone.
"Hn. Good morning, Gai." Kakashi smiled.
"You have been more withdrawn than usual. Is something wrong?" Gai tried.
"No, everything is fine," Kakashi said quietly.
"Is that so?" said Gai softly.
They stood still, both just staring at the names of dead shinobi. So many dear ones.
"Why don't you come to the bar tonight? Asuma and Kurenai will be there too. We plan to relax a bit with a bottle of sake or two..." Gai suggested.
It’s a good idea. It would give me something else to think about, Kakashi thought.
"Maybe I will. Thanks for asking," answered Kakashi.
A good idea, indeed. Kakashi stared at the stone. Gai started to froth about training and spring time. Kakashi made an excuse and walked away. Sake with friends will help. Maybe if I flirt with a cute girl or guy, I won't have to think about him anymore...
The day went by slowly until, finally, it was evening. Kakashi took a deep breath of the cool, fresh air before stepping into the smoky bar. Gai, Kurenai and Asuma were already in a good mood, chatting about new training facilities.
"Yo," Kakashi said and pulled himself a chair.
"Oh, my rival has arrived. Nice that you came," greeted Gai.
Asuma and Kurenai answered him with nods.
After a while, Kakashi felt disappointed. Even sake and good-humored chatter didn't lift his mood. He decided to leave before he depressed the others too. Kakashi gave his thanks, said his goodnights, stood up, and began his way to the door.
"Ah, Kakashi-san!" a joyful shout came from a table.
Kakashi turned to look. Iruka was sitting there with some of his colleagues. He was drunk. Kakashi walked to the table.
"Good evening, Iruka."
"Why don't you sit for a minute?" Iruka said.
Kakashi thought about it. Iruka was boozed up and he seemed to be in fine feather. But he shouldn't push it. Maybe it was wise to just stay away.
"Thanks, but I was just leaving." Kakashi smiled.
"Well, at least that's something you're good at." Iruka didn't sound so joyful anymore.
Kakashi looked at him in surprise. What's this all of a sudden? How fast can one's mood change?
"Just go on, hotfoot it out here like you did that night!"
This is bad. Kakashi felt the danger and, at the same time, his own anger starting to boil. He was usually so calm and good at controlling his emotions, but that night and that chuunin had tormented his thoughts for too long. All those mixed feelings mingling with the affects of alcohol took over.
"You're the one who avoided me," Kakashi answered coolly.
"Are you blaming me? You can't be serious," Iruka said, angry and astounded.
Kakashi became painfully aware of the silence around him. Everyone was staring at them, trying to figure out what was going on.
"I don't think this is the time or the place for this conversation," Kakashi said and turned around.
"It never is, is it? I don't think you have any social intelligence. Actually, I think you're socially retarded." Iruka's voice was bitter.
Kakashi spun around. He wasn't going to just stand there and be insulted.
"I'm skilled enough."
"Really?"
"Yeah, like that time when Kurenai was making a pass at Genma. I knew long before that incident that Kurenai was interested in him."
The silence thickened around them. Iruka's sour expression turned into a self-righteous smile.
"You mean the time, when Kurenai was angry and tried to get back at Asuma, making him jealous?"
Kakashi stared at the chuunin and blinked. Then he turned his gaze to Kurenai who was looking down, flushed. Oh. So Kurenai and Asuma... Kakashi smiled. Then the realization sank in and the smile faded. He had made a fool of himself.
"Well, that's not the point. I gave you many opportunities to come talk to me and you never did. On top of it all, it was you who said that you didn't want to see me anymore."
Kakashi turned on his heels as a chatter went through the crowd. He walked out. Iruka stormed after him.
"Like I'm going to let you get off that easily!" Iruka shouted.
Kakashi stopped and watched the angry chuunin approach. The haze caused by alcohol had stepped aside, letting the adrenaline clear his mind. He stood there, breathing heavily.
"You can't do that. I can't understand your reasoning, nobody thinks like that!" the chuunin was enraged.
"Do what? You're the one making a scene!"
"You used me."
"As I recall, you enjoyed it quite a bit yourself," Kakashi answered, making the younger man blush.
"Are you always so selfish? You can't just use people and expect them to run after you." The hurt shone in Iruka's voice.
"Well, I didn't expect anything. And I don't want anything," he lied.
"For an ex-ANBU, you're a lousy liar," Iruka spat.
Kakashi stared at Iruka, infuriated. The chocolate brown eyes stared back at him, apoplectic. Thunderbolts flew between them, the angry tension and frustration was tangible. It was so intensive, so heated, so full of feeling. Kakashi clenched Iruka's arms and pulled him close. Skillfully, he pulled his mask down, and before Iruka knew what hit him, he pulled the chuunin into a kiss. Kakashi didn't know what came over him. The angry teacher was just too irresistible. Iruka stiffened. His tongue begged for access and Iruka's lips parted. Kakashi felt the man surrender. Kakashi slid his tongue into the chuunin's mouth, rubbing against his tongue, tasting the sake.
Kakashi landed one more soft kiss on Iruka's lips and pulled away. He looked deep into those brown eyes. The icy look had melted and he looked bedazzled. Iruka took a step back. He turned his gaze away.
"Sorry, but I can't do this." Iruka's voice was almost a whisper.
"It took me too long to push you out of my thoughts; I don't want to go through it again."
"I see... So you don't think about me anymore?" Kakashi probed. I'm pathetic. But... maybe if I have one more round with him...maybe if it sucks, then maybe I could stop thinking about him... His heart beat in his chest like it was trying to escape. He could feel his body scream for more contact. It was pure self-deception to think he didn't feel for Iruka.
"No."
"Now, now, who's the lousy liar?" Kakashi sweet talked and pulled the chuunin closer again.
Hmm, he smells nice, Kakashi thought. He looked at the chuunin, feeling him press against him, blushing. Gods, he's cute. The firm body of the younger man, warm and seducing, made Kakashi's lust surface. He pushed his lips on Iruka's and drew him into a more heated kiss. Iruka tensed for a moment before giving in. Vigorously, Kakashi slid his hand under Iruka's shirt, pulling the man closer, feeling the warmth of his soft skin. Iruka didn't resist.
Kakashi wanted more. More of this stubborn chuunin. He let his hand slide from Iruka's back and pulled himself away. Like in mutual agreement, they started walking, clinging to each other as if they would lose each other by letting go. Iruka's apartment was closer, so they headed there. Kakashi had never brought anyone to his apartment before; it was easier to vanish from someone else's apartment than make them vanish from his.
While Iruka sought for his keys, Kakashi could not restrain himself anymore. He pressed against Iruka's back and found the sensitive skin on Iruka's neck. He kissed it. Suckled it. Bit it gently. His hands were searching for Iruka's shirttail, trying to get under the layers of clothes, making it hard for Iruka to concentrate on finding his keys.
There was a jingle and a couple of fumbling tries before the door came open. They floundered in kicking their shoes off and ripping each other free from their clothes. Kakashi's mask landed somewhere near his trousers, and Iruka's hands came up for his hitai-ate.
"No. Leave it, please," Kakashi gasped.
Iruka's hands slid down his face, along his jawline and down his neck. They were soft and gentle. Kakashi pushed Iruka against a wall and kissed his neck. His lips brushed Iruka's pulse. A gentle hand petted his back, pulling him closer. Another one played with his hair, urging him. Kakashi bit the receptive skin. Iruka gasped. Kakashi's hands traveled up and down Iruka's taut body. The warmth of the man pinned between him and the wall excited him. Every little touch, every time their skin contacted, a pleasurable wave washed over him.
Iruka thrust his hips. The hard arousal pressed against Kakashi's hip. Its tip was wet and it left a cold sensation behind. Iruka thrust again, this time hitting his arousal. The touch made Kakashi's cock twitch. It was so hard against him, the friction was more than welcome. Kakashi's hand voyaged down. It squeezed Iruka's buttock and pulled him closer. Their hardnesses rubbed each other.
Kakashi lowered his head and kissed Iruka's chest. He sucked his nipple, pulling it with his lips. When he got a moan from Iruka, he continued his way downward. Iruka's chest went up and down as he panted. His stomach tightened and loosened in the same rhythm. Kakashi ran his tongue across the knotted abdomen, kissing and biting, enjoying the way Iruka reacted to his touch. At last, he came to his destination.
Iruka's erection was pulsating, jerking from the anticipation. It was wet with precum. So deliciously aroused. Kakashi led his tongue from the base to the tip.
"Please... Ahh!" Iruka moaned and tried to thrust his hips.
Kakashi licked the head of Iruka's arousal, lapping the underside vein, trailing the slit in the tip, making it almost oversensitive before sucking it all the way in.
Kakashi could feel the blood pumping into Iruka's length. It became harder and harder. The younger man moaned and pulled his hair with more force. He was drawing near. Iruka's hand let go of Kakashi's hair, and he breathed something incoherent. Kakashi let Iruka's member slide from his mouth.
He pulled the younger man's leg up to his shoulder and drew his hips forward. He spread Iruka's buttocks and tilted his head. The position was not optimal. He had to free his other hand to grope a tube of lube from his trouser’s pockets. The cool liquid made his fingers slippery. He spread Iruka's buttocks again and played his entrance with his fingers.
Iruka moved his butt, inciting him. Kakashi pushed with his fingers and the muscles reluctantly gave way. Kakashi's two forefingers slid slowly in. The heat around them was so luscious. He reminded himself that good preparations were needed. He could not just slam in and take what he wanted. And besides, the wait made it even better. Iruka's intoxication from alcohol and lust made him relax quickly. Kakashi moved his fingers, spreading, easing the pressure.
"M-more..." Iruka begged.
Kakashi added a third finger, spreading Iruka even more. The muscles relaxed, preparing to take an even bigger invasion. He didn't want to hurt Iruka, but the teasing was beginning to be too much. The mouth-watering sight of Iruka's cock, proudly erect, and his own fingers spreading Iruka's passage was pushing him.
Kakashi let his fingers slide out and he stood up. He poured cold lubricant onto his cock and lifted Iruka to his lap, pushing him against the wall. He guided his neglected shaft to Iruka's entrance and pushed the man more against the wall. He wanted his grasp to hold, otherwise he could sink with too much force into Iruka. Slowly, he let the younger man slide down. The still-tight muscles squeezed around the tip of his length.
Iruka panted heavily. He had wound his arms around Kakashi's neck, trying not to sink too fast. Kakashi kissed Iruka's neck.
"It's okay... don't fight it... ah... try to relax... " Kakashi breathed calming words as he let the wet tightness devour him.
Finally, he was all the way in. He suckled Iruka's neck and jawline. As Iruka's muscles loosened up, he cave an experimental push. Iruka winced. Kakashi lowered his head to the nape of Iruka's neck. As he gave another push, he bit the bruised skin. The pain helped Iruka relax and get used to his length.
Iruka moaned and moved as Kakashi rammed again and again into him. Kakashi's hands were slippery with lube and sweat. The pumping hotness around his need was driving him toward relief. He spread Iruka's legs more and slammed deeper into that heavenly cavern. Kakashi hit his sweet spot and Iruka cried. Kakashi pumped in.
"More.. Ah.. Faster..." Iruka besought.
The sweat and lube in his hands made Kakashi lose his grip. He bent his knees to make the fall softer. They fell to the floor, Iruka on top of Kakashi. Kakashi was about to sit up and apologize when Iruka pushed him down. He started to move up and down frantically, riding Kakashi.
"Oh, gods!" Kakashi gasped.
Fuck, he's good! Kakashi gripped Iruka's hip with one hand, encouraging him. He took Iruka's member with his other hand. He stroked Iruka at the same pace.
Iruka's hair was loose. It framed his beautiful face. His flushed cheeks and his eyes hazed over with need. The scrumptious sight and the tight hotness milking Kakashi’s rigorous cock bounced him further and further. He bit his lip and held his breath. No, please not yet! The waves of orgasm washed over him, rocking him like he was a peace of drift wood trying to fight a hurricane.
"Oh, god! Ah... I-Ir..."
He shook helplessly, moaning aloud. A weight dropped over his upper body.
As his breathing grew steady, he felt the sticky fluid on his stomach. Iruka was laying on top of him, panting. Thank the gods. He sighed. Iruka had come, too.
