Chapter Two

Chapter 2
“Orochimaru will be coming for me; or rather, my body,” Sasuke started, straight to the point. “You can’t let Tsunade bury me, because that would be falling right into his trap.”

Naruto looked up at him, processing Sasuke’s words and trying to figure out what his rival was getting at. If Orochimaru was coming for the Uchiha’s body, then why didn’t he just take it when he had the chance earlier? Hell, it wasn’t as if there was a real threat holding him back.

But now…now Sasuke’s body was surrounded by a whole village of strong shinobi. It didn’t make sense.

Sasuke watched the emotions play across Naruto’s face. Confusion was dominant, but he could see the sadness there as well. Taking a step back from his blond dobe, Sasuke was about to continue when Naruto spoke up, “Why does Orochimaru want your body if you’re already…”

“Dead?” Sasuke supplied and Naruto nodded. “It’s some new jutsu he wanted to try out,” Sasuke said venomously. He still couldn’t believe how stupid he had been. He should have known that Orochimaru wasn’t really intending to keep his promise. But no, Sasuke had been blinded by hatred and revenge against his brother Itachi to realize it.

“I’m sorry, Naruto. All this time I’ve thought of you as an idiot, but look at me.”

Naruto glanced up at Sasuke, a little unsure. “It’s not your fault!” The blond leeched himself on Sasuke, catching the older boy off-guard. “Don’t blame yourself. It was that bastard’s fault.”

Naruto didn’t know why he hugged him, he just did. And right now, he didn’t want to let go. Sasuke was back. Sasuke returned to him. He wasn’t angry with him and for Naruto, it made him feel a million times better.

Sasuke wrapped his arms around the smaller teen uncertainly. During his three years with Orochimaru, the only thing that had truly and honestly kept him going (apart from his revenge, but even then, that had failed him) was Naruto. For some reason, these last few months with the snake had been torturous on his emotions. He didn’t care about Itachi anymore, or at least, he wasn’t going to throw his life away for that jerk. He only wanted to return to Konoha, to Naruto and his old teammates.

But he knew that that couldn’t happen, either. He was a missing-nin, and were he to show up in Konoha, he would either be killed on the spot or imprisoned for his treachery.

“Sasuke,” Naruto said softly, still clutching at the white cloth, not wanting to let go. Sasuke made a ‘hn’ sound to show that he was listening. “Are you really dead?”

How best to answer this? Sasuke wondered briefly. “I will be if Orochimaru gets a hold of my body.” That answer, he knew, would have to do for now.

Naruto looked up, brows furrowed. Why wouldn’t he just answer his question? Did that mean he wasn’t dead? And if that were the case, then what the hell was going on? Agitated, Naruto said, “You sure are beating around the bush, you know. Why can’t you just spit it out?”

Sasuke pulled away from the embrace, a ghost of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Promise me you won’t let Orochimaru get me.”

The blond opened his mouth to reply, but was silenced by a pair of soft lips against his own. His eyes widened for a fraction of a second before they closed, enjoying the warmth from those lips. If Sasuke wasn’t here and Naruto was going crazy, then he didn’t think he’d mind it so much if this is how things were going to end up.

Sasuke had to leave, but oh God, he didn’t want to. Not when he finally had the dobe in his arms. Brushing a thumb across a whiskered cheek, the dark-haired teen pulled away slowly, sucking on Naruto’s bottom lip before finally pulling away.

He knew Sasuke was going to leave him. An idea struck Naruto. He pulled Sasuke’s lips down on his, crushing their mouths together and repositioning their bodies so that the smaller teen was pushing his lover against the wall.

“You weren’t thinking of leaving,” Naruto said after a few long moments, “were you?” He gazed into those beautiful onyx eyes, knowing the truth without him actually speaking.

Sasuke was surprised, and yet, had somehow expected this reaction from Naruto at the same time. He never went down easy without a fight.

“I want you,” Naruto said before going into a short kiss, “to tell me everything.” He pinned the raven’s wrists behind his back, forcing the other to remain still as their bodies melded together.

“Naruto,” Sasuke gasped as the blond grinded his groin against him.

The blond proceeded to lick and nibble along Sasuke’s jaw line, oh so slowly moving to the pale expense of neck eagerly offered to him. Sasuke wanted so much to run his fingers through the brightly coloured hair, to press him closer, but couldn’t do a single thing; Naruto had a firm grasp on his wrists.

“Well, Sasuke-chan,” Naruto prompted. He had a vague idea as to what was going on, but wanted his suspicions confirmed.

Sasuke couldn’t take it anymore. The fox in front of him had snuck a hand inside his robe and was slowly tracing patterns across his flesh, brushing against sensitive nipples, tweaking them gently. He groaned.

“Fine,” Sasuke breathed heavily, “I’ll tell you.” He could feel Naruto’s wide grin against his throat, his warm breath sending chills up and down his spine. Why had he given in so easily? Naruto pulled away, but kept the Uchiha pinned to the wall, preventing him from getting away.

Their eyes met and Sasuke began his story.

A/N: So it's time to say goodbye for the time being. I know, I left off on a bad part. But I wanted to get this out before I go on vacation. But I promise I will take a notebook with me and I will write whenever I get the chance. I promise I will have a new chapter for everyone on Tuesday, one week from today. And if not, leave all the flames you want and I will not be mad. Okay, I'll be a little sad, but other than that...

Oh, and thank you to eveyone who reviewed!! You guys have been so kind to me, whereas I have been a jerk and left everyone confused. I'm sorry. But the next chapter will reveal everything!! Okay, not everything, but you get the idea.

So, to all my reviewers, thank you, thank you, thank you! And the raters, thank you much! And thank you everyone who read this crappy story. I know this chapter probably wasn't the best. I really need to work on my conversational writing skills. They need some work.

By the by, I have a dare for everyone: Review.
