Chapter three: Sand and Suffering
The bodies of the villagers were thick in this area, mostly shops and small businesses thrived in this part of town, Inos Flower shop stood nearby, and as did where she met her fate, her long blond hair was soaked in blood and her once beautiful face was beyond identification. Naruto held her close and gently stroked her hair, "bastards...they will pay for what they have done", Gaara was busy looking for any survivors. A loud horn filled the streets, and moments later a small army of Shao Kahn's men arrived, there bodies clad in thick armor and they were armed with spears and short swords, well trained in the deadly arts. Naruto glared at them, he gently sat Inos body down and walked over to face them. "I hope your ready for a fight because i'm giving you one!!" he shouted, Gaara stepped up beside him and summoned his sand sword once more, " Listen Naruto..I'll kill half and you kill half", Naruto snarled "Fuck you..I'll kill'em all!!!", The Group of soldiers stood firm at the site of the two powerful looking shinobi, Gaara smiled and chuckled "Hey..Naruto..you can have some fun..i'll just sit back and watch". Naruto nodded and charged them, "Rasengan!!!" Screamed Naruto as he charged them down. The impact sent many of the harden warriors flying back, others were torn apart by the pure power of the attack. Gaara simply watched as Naruto made short work of the savages. "Naruto....well done...it took you one Rasengan", Naruto smiled and scratched his head, being modest. "well..they were pretty weak".
Gaara chuckled, than as he walked over to view the carnage, a powerful force sent the sand shinobi flying back, Naruto charged and tried attacking air trying to find Gaara's attacker, but than Naruto himself was hit, a force slammed under Naruto's throat, the shinobi fell to his back and gaged as if he was being strangled, than to his horror he was thrown into a nearby wall, and went threw it. Gaara slowly got to his feet and glared around "What is going on??..whos attacking us???!!!" yelled Gaara getting pissed. The it happened another force slamed into Gaara's Chest, than grabed one of his arms and spin ed him into another force. a knee, thought Gaara as he spat out a larg amount of blood. "F..U..C..K!" uttered Gaara as he tried to protect himself. Then after a moment Gaara got back to his feet, as he did a portal opened up in front of him, "whats..that?", Gaara was than thrown in, to his shock he slid to a dead stop in front of a massive statue, Gaara stood and looked it over, it was Iron older iron, " a women holding a torch.....holding a book" the area where he came to a sliding halt, was a graveyard of other realms that had fallen to Shao Kahn. "that's the statue of Liberty..taken from another realm Khan took only recently", Gaara turned to see the most beautiful women he had ever seen "who are you ?" he asked glareing at her, "my name is Kitana..and don't worry you have nothing to fear from me...but what is your name?", Garra looked her in the eyes and sighed "'m Gaara of the sand..I'm a Shinobi..someone knocked me threw a portal and i landed here", Kitana's eyes widened in shock "than that means he's here!?", Gaara looked around his eyes darting at every motion, Kitana stood ready, "listen to me, i know that your still young..but the fighter your about to face is a very evil being..you must be on alert", She said looking over at Gaara, "what is it?" demanded Gaara, Kitana continued "he's......" again a powerful motion and kitana was knocked out cold, she fell to the ground in a dead heap, Gaara raced over but was knocked back again, Gaara landed on his feet and slid to a stop.."What!!" yelled Gaara pissed, "princess..that was foolish helping an offworlder..Khan will hear of this" a voice echoed around Gaara.
Out of the corner of Gaara's left eye he saw it, a figure that seemed to blend in to its surroundings, "who are you?" asked Gaara now standing, looking over at the cloaked figure. "Reptile" Out of thin air, appeared a fighter of lizard descent, his eyes crimson with yellow slits, and the scales that covered his legs and arms gave the foe a sinister form. Gaara smiled "now that's freaky..i guess i was going to be fighting a freak sooner or later", Reptile snarled and charged Gaara slamming his fist into Gaara's stomach, as Gaara bent down, Reptiles feet sent Gaara air-born during the lizards back-flip kick, Gaara slamed into the ceiling, but pushed himself off and balled both of his fist and clubed the cold-blooded bastard over the head. Reptile groaned and fell back, only to be kicked in the gut and sent flying into Lady Liberty. Gaara slowly gathered his chakra while Reptile walked out of the shattered ruins of the statue. "Damn..that hurt you bastard!!!!", Roared the evil Lizard, Gaara glared at him and narrowed his eyes "..ok..if you really wana test your strength..come at me with all you got!!" Reptile screamed and charged at Gaara his razor sharp claws ready to rip threw flesh, Gaara yelled at him enraging the creature more untill he was on a dead run, Gaara was ready "Sand Whirl pool!" screamed Gaara as the ground surrounding Reptile broke up around him and began to spin. Reptile bellowed with rage "DAMMIT!!", Gaara watched hopeing and praying his plan works, The lizard faught and faught to regain cotrol of his limbs, as the sand seemed to sink all his effort, than after a moment the lizard smiled a sinister smiled, and Gaara became uneasy, "what are you smiling about Lizard freak!", Reptile thrust all his might into his legs and flew out of his sandy tomb, and landed next to Gaara whom fell victim to Reptiles left hook. The Sand shinobi hit the ground in a hard thud, Reptile smiled at his handy work. "whats wrong..boy..can't face me like a man..you have to use tricks and magic to beat a great warrior like me!!" mocked the tyrant Lizard, Gaara groaned gasping for breath, each breath hurt, and the damn Lizards mocking wasn't helping his situation.
This must not be the end, thought Gaara. Temari, Kankuro and Matsuri and all of Sunagakure all gone. "i must avenge them..i must help Naruto defeat Shao Khn!!". Reptile stands back amazied "but! How!..you were beaten!!", Gaara than stands face to face with the lizard, and smiled sinister "..were not done yet", Before Reptile can react hes nailed with the handle of Gaara's Sand Sword, knocking the lizard into the air only to be slashed across the chest, Reptile dodges the final death blow, and jumps a few feet away, Gaara glares at his advasery in a mocking way "whats wrong Freak..can't handle my Kûga sword?. Reptile went livid, and charged Gaara, he began spitting his acid wave after wave, but Gaara blocked them and sent them flying back at the evil Lizard, "Why won't you just die!!", Roared Reptile dodging his own attacks, Gaara sighed and charged. This time Gaara was on a dead run , his sword trailing behind him, Reptile was on a dead charge as well. The two foes impacted and sent sparks flying, Reptiles claws and Gaara's Kuga, the two than jumped into the air and dueled there, claw against steel. "Reptile i just wana say this before i kill you" laughed a very sadistic Gaara, Reptile winced the pain on his claws getting to him, Reptile jumped back and landed a few yards away and glared at Gaara "What!!!, you can't kill me!!..you bastard i''ll Fucking kill you ninja!!!!!" scream Reptile his anger and fury driving the already embattled warrior over the edge, Gaara chuckled and he knew it only threw salt into Reptiles already fresh wounds "Fuck you, fuck you!!!!!" ranted Reptile, after a moment Gaara shouldered Kuga, and smiled "lets end this lizard lips". Reptile glared at Gaara and sharpend his claws on the ground, "ok...fine i'm done playing your games human!!", Gaara only smiled. The two warriors charged each other, there very souls on the line.
The figures jumped at the last moment and the sound of steel against claw clashed for a second. Gaara landed and skided to a stop breathing wildly, Reptile landed prefectly and snarled looking back over at Gaara. As the two foes look at each other blood trickles down Gaaras arms, and he buckles over glareing at Reptile, Reptile chuckles and almost instantly his top half falls off his lower, the creature gasps for breath and dies moments later. "Kami!! that must have hurt!" Chuckles Gaara, holding his right arm. "Well done Gaara of the sand, you have done well to defeat such a powerful foe, let me heal you and find you a nice safe place to rest", Gaara glances over to see Kitana "damn..your beautiful" with that Gaara faints.
