“I’m sorry…I missed.” The girl said innocently to her Sensei. Itachi ruffled her hair.

“Maybe next time you won’t.” Itachi encouraged, voice still emotionless, before entering the Akatsuki Head Quarters.

Elie waited a few seconds behind him before running to his side, obediently. She stared at the huge building in front of her in awe as the slowly walked up the stairs.

“Itachi-sama, where’s Kisame-san taking us?” Elie asked the silent Itachi, as they trailed behind Kisame.

Itachi ruffled her hair, “Patents, you’ll find out some enough.” And with that Elie was silent the rest of the way in. Elie looked at everything that decorated the wall, and all the paintings. She did not know what they were but she still looked at them in awe.

That’s when Elie stopped in front of an unusual orange one. It was beautiful. It was an outline of a beast. The fox. The Nine-Tailed Fox, she thought as she looked at the disaster it left in its wake. The painting like no other, showed the disaster at its feet; buildings on fire, death below its feet. In Elie’s eyes the picture seemed to be a film; people screaming, and the crackling of fire. The beast roared a mighty roar, but then as soon as it happened; it stopped. Elie stood in front of the picture, still frozen in place.

The two men turned looking at the girl curiously as she stared into the picture. Only when Itachi came up and placed a hand on Elie’s head did she move. She looked up into his eyes as if begging for knowledge.

“Itachi-sama? Why did everyone fear him?” the girl asked as she pointed innocently at the picture.

“It destroyed whole towns, and the people in it.” Came Kisame’s voice.

Elie looked up to Itachi, “But, so did Itachi-sama… does everyone fear him?” she asked.
The two men were silent not knowing how to answer such a question. But before the girl could ask another question, Itachi ruffled her hair. “Not everyone is afraid of me, you certainly aren’t. Am I right?” Itachi asked bending down too the little girls eye level.

Elie shook her head furiously. “No Itachi-sama, you did great things, but I think Mister Fox did too.” She replied.

“I see.” Itachi acknowledge before ruffling her hair again and standing up. He turned and continued to follow Kisame down the hall as Elie gave one final glance at the painting before sprinting down the hall to Itachi.

It seemed like hours had pasted for little Elie as they continue to walk down the long seemingly never ending hall way. It was only natural that when they reached the door at the end the she wanted to jump for joy.

Kisame knocked on the door four times before waiting for a reply, when it came he opened the door, and a whoosh of cold air fluttered past them, causing Elie’s short black hair to fly up for a few seconds before falling back into place.

Kisame followed by Itachi entered the room, leaving a dumbfounded Elie outside. Only when Elie realized the door was closing did she hurry into the room behind Itachi.

“Welcome.” a voice came from the shadows. Elie looked in that direction as she memorized the aurora of the unseen man. The man gave off stranger aurora than Kisame and Itachi combined, she gasped and clutched onto the closest persons coat; Kisame. She hide behind his tall form as she shook. Kisame looked back at her before giving her a weird look and turning back to the front.

Kisame and Itachi bowed their heads, as the man in the shadows continued his introduction.

“And welcome to you, little one. What’s your name?” asked the leader. Elie cringe involuntarily.

“E-Elie…s-sir.” Elie stuttered uncontrollable.

“I see.” The leader answered before turning to Itachi. “Why have you brought a child to my head quarters?”

Itachi bowed his head again before answering emotionlessly, “She has great potently. For a ten year old with no training, she has progressed greatly in only a few hours. She also possesses Sharingan in her left eye.” Itachi explained in Elie’s defense, “I will take full responsibility for her, and train her in everyway, until she is able to join.” Itachi said head still bowed.

“She can join now. I would prefer it that way.” The leader said.

Itachi’s head snapped up, a hard look in his eyes. Elie glance at him as she felt his aurora flare. She scurried over to Itachi and his behind him, grasping two of his fingers. His aurora shrunk before his temper was back down. “I don’t think a child will hold up to the training, without proper training herself. I believe she is young and still innocent, to be able to join so soon.” Itachi argued.

“That’s why she has you. The only way she can stay, is if she joins. That’s my final answer take it, or she leaves.” The leader said, in a hard unmoving voice.

Elie tugged on Itachi’s two fingers that she held. He looked down at her, “Itachi-sama? I want to stay with you.” Elie told Itachi, as she brought her other hand up to hold Itachi’s hand as well as while putting her head on to his hand, closing her eye. He rubbed one of her hands absently while thinking over the situation.

“She will join, today, then.” Itachi said, as a final answer.

“Good. We might as well introduce the people that are here, and more introductions later.” The leader snapped his fingers, and people emerged from the shadows.

(Note: I found out that Elie is only three years younger than Itachi. Though she has the thought process of a seven or eight year old, she will become smarter, and more *ehhmm* developed, later on.)

People stepped forward and Elie watched the auroras; her eyes still shut. “This is Deidara.” The leader announced.

Elie watched the friendly aurora him for a second before saying, “Dei-kun.” Softly.

“This little girl is going to join the Akatsuki, yeah?!” Deidara asked out amazed.

“Yes.” Itachi said emotionlessly. “As am I.” he continued.

“I see, yeah.” Deidara answered before going quiet again.

“Next to Deidara, is Sasori, they are both partners. Just like you will someday be.” Explained the leader.

Elie opened her eyes to look at the Sasori fellow. It seemed she felt multiple auroras.

“Sasori-san…do you have dolls?” Elie asked out curiously. Sasori stood in mild shook before regaining himself.

“I guess you could call them that… but their really called puppets.” Elie nodded and looked at the last person… or thing…

“This is Zetsu.” The leader said as he waved at the last person. Elie nodded and stood away from Itachi looking at everyone. From Deidara; who had blond hair, and then to Sasori; he had red hair, then to Zetsu, which, he pretty much looked like a plant.

Elie pointed at each of the members, “Dei-kun, Sasori-san, Kisame-san, Zetsu-san?, leader-san, Itachi-sama, and Elie.” Elie pointed to herself last, earning herself a small laugh from Deidara.

“I have a feeling the Akatsuki is going to be a more interesting place now that we have a girl, yeah?” Deidara asked out, but wasn’t really expecting an answer. Elie smiled and walked back to Itachi’s hand taking in her small hand his index and middle finger.

“Your partner, Itachi shall be, Kisame, and of course Elie will accompany you both, so all of you get acquainted. I’ll give you all two months off, to train our youngest member. Teach her basics, and how to ki-“ the leader was cut off.

“She knows how to kill,” Itachi said plainly, “I taught her that much, she has good aim as it is, and has plenty of speed. Quick with her hands…” Itachi reported.

“Interesting, I would like to see this for myself when the time comes.” The leader said.

“All of you are dismissed.” And with that one saying all six old and new Akatsuki members left the room.

It was silent as all six Akatsuki members walked down the hall turning right, and walking some more before turning to a door to the left.

Elie was last to enter but she stood stock still as she looked around the room. It was just a simple huge kitchen but to someone who had never seen one, it was incredible. Itachi turned around when he no longer heard Elie’s footsteps. Seeing this everyone else stopped and watched the small girl, her mouth opened with awe. She only closed it when the blond man, that she had named Dei-kun came over to her and crotched down to her level. She looked at him curiously.

“Well, Elie-chan; are you hungry, un?” Deidara asked.

Elie nodded her head vigorously, but then remembered Itachi-sama’s rules and shook her head sadly. Deidara was left confused by Elie’s sudden change in mind.

“You aren’t hungry, un?” Deidara asked. Elie shook her head sadly. Then a small stomach rumble echoed softly around the room, earning some sweat drops to appear behind people’s heads. “Are you sure Elie-chan, you seem pretty hungry to me, un.”

“I’m sure.” Elie reassured him then added brightly, “I have to fend for myself.” She added innocently.

Deidara as well as everyone else turned to Itachi, Deidara and Kisame were the only ones to raise their eyebrows at him. Itachi shrugged his shoulders; a reply to their stares.

Deidara stood and walked to a counter and snapped off a banana before walking back over to Elie. He handed it to her with a friendly smile. “Here you go, see you’re fending for your self, so now you can eat.” Deidara said before walking back to the group causing them all to turn.

Elie looked at the banana holding it gently in her little hand. How do I eat it? She thought to herself. The rest of the group continued on leaving Elie behind, but not before she ran to catch up to her Itachi-sama. She gently grabbed his hand and tugged it so he would stop.

She held the banana up to him, “I don’t get it, how do you eat it?” she asked once again innocently. He ruffled her hair before taking the banana in hand and pealing it. Once he was done he held it in front of her. She looked up at Itachi again. He rolled his eyes slightly before pulling a small piece off and popping it into his mouth. Itachi narrowed his eyes at her as she still stared at him curiously. He plucked a piece of the banana and placed it to her lips, telling her soundlessly to eat it. She continued to look at him, and he started back ‘what now?’ he thought as he crotched down. Elie poked his cheek, signifying that he had not chewed his food or swallowed it.

Itachi chewed it grudgingly hating the sweet taste. ‘What have I got myself into?’ he asked himself. His eye twitched as he swallowed, ‘degusting’ was the only word that popped into mind.

Elie watched as her master swallowed before opening her mouth to bite into the piece he held in front of her. Elie’s eye lighten up at the sweet taste, as she chewed it slowly, she looked at Itachi, “It- Its g-good…” she stutter putting her hand up to her mouth, astounded by the taste she had just discovered.

Itachi looked at her like she was crazy. ‘How could anyone like anything like this?’ he asked himself, but though he remembered, ‘she still is a child’ he thought with a shrug of his shoulders as he stood up. He handed the banana back to Elie before turning and slowly catching up to the awaiting group.

Elie walked faster as to catch up with Itachi’s strides as she tried to eat at the same time.
