Chapter Three
This was not what Naruto thought a party should be like.
The basement room they were in was one of the many rooms on the right side of a long hallway. The ceiling was too high and hard to see, for the only light source was a couple of eastern looking paper lanterns hanging over their heads. Some kind of music was playing in the background; slow and wordless, nothing he would pick up if he had the opportunity. Some mats were pushed up against a wall near the furnace. They were covered with blankets and pillows.
Most of the people were sitting and talking. In the darkest corners of the room, there were a few couples in various states of undress.
Naruto tried not to dwell on the fact that they didn’t seem to mind the lack of privacy. He wanted to enjoy himself.
But this definitely was not how a party should be like; it was how he would imagine a brothel. It didn't seem like a place where young people gathered to have fun. Unless sex was how they had fun here. (All of them. At the same time.)
Somewhere in the back of his mind, Naruto saw Sasuke turn to focus penetrating eyes on Sai while pushing him up against a wall in the far end of the room. He shut his eyes and desperately tried to shut his mind as well. Jealousy was the absolutely worst thing that could happen to him right now.
Kiba caught his elbow:
“What?”
Naruto shook his head, aware that Kiba knew his scent well enough to appreciate subtle difference between products of his imagination and the real thing.
“If he hurts you, we’ll kill him. You know that, right?” It was oddly comforting that even in this progressive palace of seclusion, Kiba could still say ‘we’ and mean Akamaru and he. Naruto’s starvation for proper food and people was subdued, and he breathed in Kiba’s nearness while at the same time glancing across the room to where Sasuke was. Everything in him cried that home had never been so close.
“Thanks, Kiba. Just do it away from my room. I hate finding half chewed bones all over my bed.”
“Sure. Now stop looking at him as if he's a warm bed and food, it’s maddening. Trouble just waiting to happen.”
Naruto turned to get a better look at his friend.
“Oh, God, you’re serious, aren’t you? I’m that obvious?”
Kiba laughed.
“You’re always that obvious. But don’t worry. So is he.”
“In that case, I don’t see the trouble you were talking about.”
“You only met him today, Naruto.” Kiba waved his hand to stop Naruto from interrupting. “I’m not saying that he's a bad guy or something. I don’t think he is. But it’s not normal for so much intensity to gather between two people in such a short space of time. I could barely breathe when I was walking with you earlier.”
Naruto glanced over at Sasuke. He was talking to a chubby guy near a little table loaded with drinks.
Kiba was right. Naruto wasn't exactly a virgin. Although his experience was a bit limited, it had never been like this before. The need to go over there and make Sasuke stop talking to anyone but him was almost overwhelming.
Sasuke met his eyes and made his way over. Kiba snickered.
“I’ll just… go over there. Where that cute brunette is.”
Naruto leaned on the wall, one leg stretched and the other bent so that he could rest his elbow on his knee.
This too was not at all how it was supposed to go. You don’t just want someone and have them willing. You’re supposed to have a long crush and try really hard to earn the affection of that person. There was supposed to be candy and flowers involved, even if you do prefer boys.
It was surprisingly easy to forget about all the supposed rules of attraction when Sasuke got this close. His scent seemed to overpower everything else in the room.
“Here.” Sasuke tossed something over as soon as he was a couple of steps away. “Chouji got care package from home.”
Naruto caught it, immediately inspecting it. He kept on watching the thing in his palm, astonished, until Sasuke bent forward and touched his shoulder lightly.
“Naruto?”
Then something occurred to him.
“You picked up telepathy somewhere, didn’t you?”
“I did.” Sasuke continued surveying the chocolate bar in Naruto's hand.. “You were craving something sweet, huh?”
“It’s not nice to read other people’s minds without their permission!”
Sasuke sat next to him.
“I didn’t, you idiot. You would know.” Naruto eyed him skeptically, trying to decide if he believed it or not.
Sasuke smirked at him. “It just has two kinds of cream in it, so I thought you might like it.”
Naruto slipped the bar into his pocket. If he wanted to keep the wrapper, he would need to open it in private.
“So,” He asked. “Is that telepath here now?”
Sasuke pointed out a longhaired girl who was currently talking to Kiba.
“Her name is Hinata.”
So people hadn't been lying. Sasuke really was collecting talents wherever he could find them. Why?
Naruto wasn't about to pretend he understood it. He didn't even get the concept, much less fathom how it even worked.
They were an oddity in their world, something to be feared; Groveling nightmares for children all over the planet. Why would anyone want to be like them - freaks of nature that society had rejected? But he saw it in the past, in people desperate to be different. They were proud of what they were, and they were using that power and the terror of the general public to demonstrate that they were superior. Those were the people horror stories were based on.
There were people like Kiba, too. He wouldn’t give up his dog for anything in the world. Akamaru was so much more than a pet to Kiba. They were as close as twin brothers, so connected it was as if they shared one mind.
It was not that Naruto was ashamed of himself; he was just tired of being alone. He was tired of being an outcast, forced to live far away from everything that was normal. He wanted a family, something like what Kiba, Akamaru and he had. He wanted a home, some warm place to go back to.
If he had to cut off a part of him to get that, he was willing. Especially if that said part was unpredictable and wild, a thoughtless creature driven by the needs of the flesh. Or a grotesque fox.
Although, the fast healing part was kind of handy.
Maybe it was different when your talent wasn't so obvious. Naruto still didn’t understand why Sasuke would want more.
He also wondered if Sasuke took everything that strayed in his direction or only the things he considered useful.
Naruto thought that was too much to ask for now, so he settled on:
“How do you do it?”
Sasuke leaned on the wall too, leaving them shoulder to shoulder, almost touching.
“I need as much skin and eye contact as possible. It hurts for weeks afterwards.”
Skin and eye contact? It sounded very intimate, almost like having sex. Once again Naruto told himself that thinking of Sasuke having sex with someone else was not a good idea, but it was much too late.
The jealousy was a hot stone in his chest.. Who was beating him in the head to ask anyway?
Naruto couldn’t stop his teeth from clenching at the thought of how many people Sasuke touched in such manner. Or fucked. Probably in front of all these people, in this dirty cave of a basement.
Naruto bent his head so his expression couldn’t be seen under the stray strands of his hair and forced his jaw to relax.
“Who else did you rob?”
Sasuke regarded him suspiciously, his eyes narrowed. He didn't say anything for some time. When he did, his voice was harsh and his breath was on Naruto’s ear, burning like a flame.
“Do you want to know about everyone?” Naruto nodded, his head low. There were no misunderstandings between them.
“I’ll tell you then.” There was no doubt Sasuke knew exactly what the question meant.
Sasuke turned slightly so he could see where everyone was.
“Neji. Long black hair, weird eyes, sitting across from us. Hinata’s cousin. Precognition and clairvoyance. Common abilities, but he’s multi- talented. Skillful hands, too. I picked up so much from him.”
Naruto felt a heat wave rising in him and some blood oozed from his cut lip into his mouth. Sasuke went on.
“Lee. I never had to sleep with him, thank God, but the ability he shared is my favorite one, so you won’t mind if I tell you about it, right? He's the boy in green tights on the side, do you see him?” The only thing Naruto saw was a peculiar stain on the floor, red and spreading, but he nodded anyway. “Speed. He can run to the top floor and back here in ten seconds. I can only maintain that tempo for about twenty meters. It's elevating, in the same way foreplay is. Useful, too.”
Sasuke made pause and shifted closer, almost resting on Naruto’s shoulder. The fingers of his left hand were tugging lightly on the hem of Naruto’s pocket, and he could feel them on his thigh through the fabric. They were warm, as they had been warm earlier in the room, like they were often warm on some random strangers. Naruto felt the need to claim.
“Your little childhood crush, Sakura. I never wanted her, she is annoying and clingy. But shape shifting is so rare these days, isn’t it?”
“Can’t imagine what would you need that for.” Naruto told him, his voice stormy. Sasuke ignored it.
“I tried with Ino. A number of times. Didn’t work. Not a big deal, though. Possessing people is only useful if you have someone close enough to keep you from hitting the ground.”
Added to that freak from that morning, that was four and counting.
“Haku. I already told you about him. He isn't here right now, but you’ll have no problem recognizing him. He's so cute, people sometimes mistake him for a girl.”
Five.
“Please,” Naruto said, “tell me your brother is not doing this whole place, too.”
“No idea. Disappointed?”
“Oh, yes. Please, go on.”
Sasuke laughed. He sounded out of breath and raw, as if Naruto had hit a sore spot and Sasuke wanted to hurt him back.
“Sai.” He whispered, as if that was to be a secret between them. “Most unusual and disturbing of them all. Let me show you.”
He took Naruto’s hand in his own, and pulled his sleeve up. For a long second, both of them stayed like that, staring at each other and taking some time to adjust to the contact. Then Sasuke scratched a line around his wrist, leaving a shallow mark and a liquid trail. Naruto couldn’t suppress shivering, or a small rumbling sound deep in his throat.
“My blood.” Sasuke said in the same soft voice. “It leaks from the tip of my fingers when I want it to.” He grasped Naruto’s wrist over the trail with his whole hand and squeezed. When he removed it, there was a bracelet-like thing instead of a blood trail. Sasuke hooked his finger on it and yanked sharply. “Unbreakable. Irreplaceable, really, when it comes to bounding games. And he also has skilled hands.”
This was going too far, Naruto thought; I’ll murder someone. He was surprised at how little he cared. It had to end here and now, because he was possessive and Sasuke was reckless and mad about something. Both of them were on the verge of snapping, and Kiba was right. They were in trouble. They would be drowning in this shit soon.
He grabbed Sasuke’s shirt and jerked him close. Sasuke opened his mouth, gasping softly. His breath was sweet and tempting, and Naruto nearly lost it. Their noses were almost touching.
Naruto had spent his whole life denying himself everything he wanted. So even though this was on an entirely different level, he was still able to force out the words, “I suggest you go now. Check if he can make you busy with those skillful hands of his.”
“I’ll do that, then.” Sasuke said, his expression unreadable. Naruto let him go.
But he was not in any condition to breathe when the cloth slithered from his hands. He closed his eyes for a second.
When he opened them, Sasuke was close to the exit, snatching Sai away from a group of near-by people. Naruto released the breath he was holding and felt the wave of heat finally washing away what was left of his reason.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“I don’t really appreciate being a stand-in.”
They were climbing the stairs, Sasuke still griping Sai’s sleeve and dragging him behind him. The light on the staircase was dazzling after coming out of the dim basement, and he was still blinking.
He was furious. Mostly with himself, because he had never stopped to think about what he was doing; But he was also angry with Naruto. What right had he to act like some jealous lover?
The problem was, Sasuke was rather fascinated with how intense Naruto was. Sasuke was pushing him on purpose, flattered that Naruto was acting that way because of him.
“Of course not.” He answered to Sai when he realized it was expected of him.
Sai halted.
“I can do better then this.”
“You don’t care. It’s just sex. We’ve been here before. You never asked for affection then.”
“That boy is dangerous, Sasuke. I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble.”
Great. Not only had the idiot aroused him beyond any comprehension, he was now destroying his chance to get off as well. He yanked Sai closer and rubbed a bit against his thigh, letting him feel how hard he was.
Sai had some trouble swallowing and his eyes went hazy. He was too easy.
“It will be worth it.” Sasuke said, dropping his hands. This was not what he wanted. Sai's skin was too pale, and he felt wrong under Sasuke's fingers. It would suffice, though. It had to.
“I beg to differ.” A voice said. Sasuke agreed wholeheartedly, before realizing that had been a response to his words, not his thoughts. Sai backed off right away, but Naruto kept on, unimpressed. “Unless you're suicidal, that is.”
He was smiling up at Sai, his face bathed in surreal neon light. It was spine chilling. Sai said nothing, apparently despairing. Naruto shifted his red eyes to look at Sasuke, and suddenly the world was only as big as the space between them.
Naruto leisurely stepped forward and Sasuke grasped at the wall, mouth dry; Naruto’s closeness was almost the same thing as a desert wind.
Naruto took his time; climbing one step at a time in a precise rhythm. Sasuke’s heart was beating its way out of his chest. Could he hear it? He probably could; hell, the whole building was pulsing with him and sweeping everyone off their feet. But was Naruto doing it on purpose, or was Sasuke’s heart naturally attuning with Naruto’s pace?
While Sasuke was developing into a fucking poet, wasting time thinking about random things that would not help him find something suitable to say, Naruto never stopped and they were now a single step away from each other.
He was still wearing that creepy smile. Sasuke could see his red eyes up close now. They looked good on Naruto, better than blue, more authentic and insightful. As though he had removed his contact lenses.
Naruto rested his hand on the banister.
“You are really stupid.”
Had that been an insult?
“Actually, I’m on the level of a genius.”
Naruto made a dismissing sound.
“For a genius, you are really stupid.” He said and tilted his head into Sasuke’s neck, inhaling and not touching. “I like the way you smell. Fruity. Like food.”
“You're sniffing me as if you would like to eat me.”
“I wouldn’t.” Naruto told him, his breath lively and hot, dancing. He shifted closer and Sasuke was flat against the fence, supporting his weight with his arms because his legs were not working well enough to do that job for him. “Not here.”
Sasuke’s arms gave in, too. He was acting like a blushing virgin and Naruto was right, he was stupid. It was difficult to think when he was so turned on he was sure he‘d go blind if this thing didn't resolve itself soon. Like, now.
Fortunately, Naruto caught him. To do that, he had to grab quite forcefully around his waist. It was probably unnecessary for him to place a knee between his legs, too, but he did. Now Sasuke’s erection was pressed firmly against Naruto’s thigh, and he wondered vaguely if he should feel embarrassed about it.
The only thing he was feeling, though, was an unstoppable urge to get off, now. He arched his back to get his hips closer to Naruto’s. It was not something that required thinking; Nothing was stopping him, and it felt so good. Naruto was solid and incredibly warm, and he let Sasuke do whatever he wanted for couple of moments.
Then there was a hand on Sasuke’s cheek, pushing his hair out of his eyes. Naruto growled at whatever he saw in his face. They were looking at each other, Sasuke maintaining the little, desperate pace he developed in his hips and Naruto watching him, his mouth open and wet, eyes wild and hands clutched.
When Sasuke moaned, Naruto growled again and broke their eye contact, baring his canine teeth and sinking them into the soft skin of the neck exposed to him. It hurt a bit at first, and then more and more. By the time the fangs broke his skin, Sasuke was almost coming in his pants.
Naruto soothed the bite, licking it, and tried to back away.
“Wait, wait.” He said. Sasuke was not about to let him go. He grabbed Naruto’s ass with both hands and pulled him back together. Their erections collided and Sasuke leaned heavily on the banister, spreading his legs a bit to bring them closer. He was quite content to pick up where he had left off, thrusting into the heated groin in front of him. Hands were in his hair, pulling, and then they slid to his shoulders and down his arms. Naruto somehow forced one of them between their bodies and into Sasuke’s pants.
Naruto's hand was hot, feverish on his cock and Sasuke let out a hiss into his ear. He felt a shudder to match his own. This was so good. Naruto was good and he knew exactly what he was doing, his hand was sure and firm. He titled his head and Sasuke kissed his neck, biting a little to mark back. Naruto grumbled and stopped, whispering in his ear.
“I’m not going to fucking stop, can’t you…?” He took a deep breath and pushed himself away. “Just wait for a minute, okay?”
No, it was not okay. Sasuke knew he was glaring, but Naruto was unaffected, smirking back, his red eyes glowing:
“I have a powerful imagination.”
What?
“I assure you, this is not your imagination.”
Naruto was all over him again now that he had his attention. He put his hand back on Sasuke’s groin, and he said between the licks on his neck,
“I know. But you can see what’s going on in my head, right? Telepathy?”
Oh. It was an invitation. Their eyes meet and Sasuke dived in.
...They were back in the room, in Naruto’s head, kissing on the bed. He really had powerful imagination; Sasuke was seeing and feeling every touch they shared, and the image was clear. He was on his back, Naruto on him; helping him strip his shirt off, and then they were touching, skin on skin. It was blissful, satisfying sensation. Naruto was then kissing his chest and going lower, yanking his pants open.. His fingers were tangled up into Sasuke’s pubic hair. His tongue was wet and hot, and he could feel it on his inner thighs, licking trails. That went on for a while, and when teasing became too much for him, Sasuke grabbed him by the hair tugged him up. Taking the hint, Naruto smirked at him and took as much of Sasuke's cock into his mouth. It was… intolerable, Sasuke closed his eyes and …
…And he was back on the stairwell and coming into Naruto’s hand, jolting violently.
“That backfired a bit.” Naruto said after a moment or two, his eyes blue again. He looked perplexed and puzzled.
“That …was embarrassing.” Sasuke heard apology in his own voice. “Too fast. Never happened before.” He explained. It was the truth; Sasuke had never climaxed so quickly before.
“It was. Pathetic, really.” Naruto told him and gestured towards the front of his big, orange pants that now had a smudge in front. “Almost as pathetic as this is.”
Oh. It probably wasn’t very nice of him to laugh aloud, but he had never said he was a nice person, had he? So he laughed.
“It’s always good to know you're not the worst one around.”
Naruto didn’t seemed insulted. He just put his arms back around Sasuke and then they were kissing, slow and sweet. On so many levels, this was even better than what they had been doing earlier. Naruto’s hands were warm and gentle; He tasted syrupy, and when Sasuke was free to talk, he said, “Come with me.”
No, that had not been what he planned, but he was positive he didn't want to give this up before they could further explore the attraction that existed between them. It was easy to include Naruto in his little plan. They were out of reach of the closest camera here. It was a rushed decision, but he felt deep in his stomach that he wouldn't change his mind about it.
“What? Where?” Naruto asked, kissing the bite mark he had left before, and added without the trace of remorse. “This is bleeding.”
“I’m out of here, out of this place, soon. Come with me.”
Naruto looked at him.
“But you have family here.”
“Itachi isn't family, he's just what's left of one. Our parents are long dead and my inheritance papers are in the hands of my guardian, Kakashi. He’ll help me. He never liked Itachi keeping me here.” He repeated himself again, so Naruto could be very sure that this was what he wanted. “Come with me.”
“I need to talk to…”
“Naruto?” It was Hinata, at the bottom of the stairs. She didn’t sound apologetic for interrupting them, and that fact alone sent terrified chills down Sasuke’s spine. “There is something wrong with Kiba. He collapsed.”
Naruto went white.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
