Kuinnu: *jumping up and down* It's finally finished! Chapter three is up!
Sasuke: It sure took you long enough.
Naruto: Give her a break. She's had a lot to do.
Kuinnu: Yeah. Besides, I've also had to deal with my summer programs.
Sasuke: *sighing* Fine.
Sakura: Don't get bent out of shape, Sasuke.
Kakashi: So, I've heard that Sasuke has a bit of fun in this chapter.
Kuinnu: *grinning* Just wait and see, Sensei. *turns off recorder and starts chapter*

Chapter 3: The Maiden Revealed
The night air was refreshing for once, and it seemed to help Sasuke clear up his thoughts as he walked.
The rest of the day had been spent at home between exercising and reading his new book. When he glanced at the clock, it had been 8:00 PM. He had already eaten a small 'dinner' and finished the novel he had been reading lately. For close to half an hour, Sasuke lay on his bed, staring into space as his mind went back to the girl in his dreams. He shut his eyes, and was able to see her clearly in his mind's eye. Her long golden hair with violet streaks on her bangs. Her amethyst eyes that seemed to stare through him and into his soul. The pale color of her skin that seemed to have a natural glow to it all its own. That body of hers that seemed like it belonged to a goddess, perfectly shaped and curved.
Sasuke opened his eyes before he got lost in his thoughts again, sitting up and sighing a bit. He finally decided to take a walk in order to clear his head. He didn't really pay attention as he walked, just letting his feet lead the way to where ever. He ended up at the lake where Naruto had discovered a half-drowned Kei. Sasuke smiled a bit as he began to remember the events following Kei's arrival in Konoha. His thoughts were interrupted by a voice that was nearby. The voice was clearly female, and it was singing. Sasuke could tell that the singing was coming from the lake, so he crept towards the water's edge. When a young woman finally came into view by the small waterfall, Sasuke felt his heart skip a beat, then start to beat faster.
The young woman's hair went down past her waist and in the light of the moon, her hair shone like golden silk. When she turned enough that he saw her face, he saw that her eyes were deep violet, shimmering like amethysts. Her bangs were also the same shade of deep violet as her eyes. Sasuke felt his heart racing, for he found himself gazing at the girl from his dreams. 'Am... am I dreaming again? No. I'm awake. I'm wide awake, gazing at her. But it's really her, the same girl from my dreams.' Sasuke thought as he crept closer to the water's edge. He listened to her as she sang.
"Let all the wonders come to me
The fantasy fills--
Fills my heart!
I'll never wander anymore,
For all the love I have
I have for you.
All the spirits of the wind!
Spread their magic wings and fly!
Racing at the speed of light
Through the valleys and the passages of time...!

No words could describe how beautiful Sasuke found her voice. There were too many to choose from, all of them and yet none of them seemed to fit in order to describe her voice. The girl continued to sing, not seeming to notice Sasuke yet. As he continued to watch her, Sasuke felt his mind and his morals at war. His morals told him to leave, so that he wouldn't be considered a peeping tom. His mind told him it was too late for that. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw what appeared to be the girl's set of clothes. The clothes themselves were folded neatly. But beside them, were discarded bandage wrappings, bloody bandage wrappings. 'Blood? Is she injured?' He thought. Sasuke turned back to the girl, hoping she was ok and that the bandages weren't recent.

'I know he's watching me.' She thought as she bandaged a wound just under her breasts. 'But still...' She added to her thoughts as she looked over at Sasuke from behind the waterfall. 'He's even more handsome in person. And he really does look just like Ita-kun...' She thought as she blushed slightly. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a twig breaking. Instinctively, she pulled out a kunai she'd hidden under her hair. "I know that you're there!" She called out. "Tora! Makoto! Suichi!"
At this, three jounin, all male, stepped out of the bushes. The first one, Tora, had long black hair pulled into a ponytail and golden eyes. The second one, Makoto, had shoulder length brown hair and silver eyes. The last one, Suichi had short blue hair and green eyes.
"You're still as sharp as ever, Lady Hanakaze." Tora said to her.
"Suichi, why are you doing this? We grew up together!" She said, covering her chest with her hair.
"I have to carry out Lord Ookami's wishes. And even if that means your death..." He said as he pulled out some kunai of his own.
"You deserve to die anyways. You let your own brother die at the hands of a known criminal!" Makoto yelled at the kunoichi.
"That's not true!" She snapped back, angered and hurt from what he had said.
"You abandoned the village. You let your brother die. And we've yet to find that man who helped you escape the first time." Suichi said. "So you'll either return to the village to stand trail for your crimes, or you'll die like a dog out here in foriegn territory."
"Over my dead body." She said firmly.
"Then so be it!" He yelled as he threw his kunai at her. Hanakaze quickly dove underwater to dodge the weapons flying at her. But she knew she couldn't stay underwater for very long.
And when she did resurface, she found that her injury had reopened itself. 'Dammit!' She thought as she held the bleeding wound. 'I can't fight with this wound.'
"Face it, Hanakaze. It's three to one. Plus you're already injured." Tora said.
"Tora's right. So be a good little girl and just die!" Makoto said as he pulled out a fuma shuriken as Tora used a paralysis jutsu to restrain Hanakaze.
'No...!' Hanakaze thought as she struggled to move. 'Ita!'
Makoto raised the weapon, but then let out a yell of pain as a kunai pierced the palm of his hand.
"Three against one doesn't exactly sound fair to me. And especially when it's against an injured girl as well." Sasuke said as he made himself visible to the four ninja.
Makoto glared at Sasuke, holding his bleeding hand now that he had removed the kunai. "You fucking bastard! Who the hell do you think you are to take on three of the finest ninjas in the Hidden Mountain Village?!" He yelled at Sasuke.
Sasuke pulled out some more kunai. "I'm a guy who doesn't tolerate bastards like you..." He said as his eyes turned red, activating his Sharingan.
Tora froze for a moment, seeming to be scared. 'Those eyes... Could this guy be a part of the Uchiha clan? But I thought they had been wiped out years ago. Still, we shouldn't take any chances right now.' He thought. "Suichi, Makoto, we'll take care of the kunoichi later. Let's get out of here... while we still can." Tora said to his teammates.
Makoto growled at Sasuke. "I'll find a way to repay you for this, you bastard..." He said before he disappeared with the others.
Sasuke waited until the others were gone before he turned to Hanakaze. He knelt down by the water's edge and held out a hand to her. "Are you alright?" He asked gently.
She was hesitant to take his hand at first, but she slowly placed her hand in his. Sasuke slowly pulled her out of the water, staring deeply into her violet eyes as he did so. "Are you alright?" He asked her again.
The kunoichi slowly nodded back to him. "H-hai." She said softly.
Sasuke took off his jacket, placing it over her shoulders. "Here, this should help a bit until you've finished rebandaging that wound of yours."
Hanakaze looked down, pulling the jacket closer to her wet body. "Arigato..." She said softly.
Sasuke nodded to her. "I'll go get your clothes while you bandage your wound." He said as he stood up, walking over to where she'd left her clothes. He walked slowly, so that she would have enough time to finish wrapping her bandage. "Here." He said as he held her clothes to her.
"Thank you." She said, holding her clothes to her chest.
Sasuke turned around, his back to her to allow her some privacy while she changed. 'She seems to be fine, but why were those jounin trying to kill her?' He thought to himself.

Kuinnu: *smiling* Well, that's done.
Sasuke: *blushing* I'm never going to hear the end of this....
Naruto: *bent over laughing* Sasuke's a peeping tom!
Sasuke: *glaring at Naruto, pulling out kunai* What was that?!
Arien: *sweatdrop* This never ends...
Sakura: Nope.
Kakashi: So, Hanakaze knows "Ita" as well.
Kuinnu: *blushing* Well... yeah.
Sai: I'm not surprised, I've seen the many pictures you have of him in your be-.
Kuinnu: *slaps hands over Sai's mouth* You said you wouldn't TELL!
Kakashi: *grinning under his mask*
Naruto: Hey, what was that one song Hanakaze was singing?
Kuinnu: That's the English ending theme for an anime I like called "Record of Lodoss War". I always loved the words to it.
Sai: Hidden Mountain Village? Never heard of it.
Arien: Well duh. Sis made it up!
Iruka: You created your own village?
Kuinnu: What's wrong with that? This is fanfiction. Anything's possible.
Sasuke: I've got a headache. I'm out of here...
