Sasuke: Part3

Part3

Kakashi refused to teach his class. He was openly reading his favorite book, the one Minato had banned from the class room. The orange book was offensive to the students, so those sitting up front had moved closer to the back. Naruto was sitting next to Sasuke, all smiles.

“He’s pretty pissed today, ne?”

“Well, you aren’t supposed to be here,” Sasuke pointed out, rolling his eyes.

“Yeah, but you’d think he’d just get over it,” the blonde groaned.

“I wouldn’t.”

“Sensei, are you going to teach us anything?” a girl asked.

“Yeah. Lesson one, don’t talk while someone is reading,” Kakashi snapped.

The girl blushed; the rest of the class snickered. They were counting the minutes until the bell would ring. One kid had gone as far as to blame Naruto for the boring class. A paper ball square in the nose had shut him up. The class had remained quiet after that, because amazingly enough it had been thrown by Uchiha Sasuke. Naruto was doodling on his papers while he waited. He had no problem doing nothing in class. As a matter of fact, that was what he did everyday. It was just easier to concentrate on the act when it was quiet. Sasuke had been dosing off for the last hour. He had hardly slept the night before. Naruto was a horrible sleeper. He had a tendency to throw himself around the bed. It had not been quite as bad with Sasuke blocking the way, but there had been many a time where a well placed foot or elbow had woken the Uchiha. He had been less than pleased. The bell rang and the class of students gathered their things. Sasuke picked up his bag and the brown paper sack sitting beside it. Naruto’s mother had insisted on making both kids a lunch. It had embarrassed Sasuke to no end: No one had ever sent him off with a lunch.

Naruto threaded his fingers in Sasuke’s as they headed to their next class. The older teen blushed and looked away. He let the hyperactive boy hold onto him. It was his dream come true, walking around with Naruto all over him. Everyone would know then that the Uzumaki boy belonged to him. Naruto grinned wildly.

“Should I stop?”

“Hn.”

He would not give the boy the satisfaction. Naruto chuckled and kept holding the hand. Sasuke knew he would not let go - he was only looking for a way to make the Uchiha admit to loving someone. That was not going to happen. Well, at least in public. Sasuke still had a brooding, angry image to retain. Remembering said image, he shook his hand free to readjust the strap on his shoulder. Naruto frowned. He jumped ahead of Sasuke and turned to face him.

“Are we dating?”

“What?” the question temporarily shocked Sasuke.

“Well, we admitted everything last night, but are we dating? We never really said. And one minute you let me hold you and the next you’re back to that cold bastard you always are.”

“Of course we are, dobe,” was all Sasuke would respond with.

It was enough to earn and blush and a sloppy smile. Naruto rubbed the back of his head and apologized. Sasuke rolled his eyes again and pushed past the boy. Naruto followed his footsteps like a lost puppy.

“So, are we going straight home?”

“No. Its only lunchtime anyways. You’re too far ahead of yourself.”

“I know. I meant after school.”

“You can‘t. I have to check my cards. I need a place of my own.”

“No one will rent to a fifteen-year-old,” Naruto frowned.

“I know. I’ll be paying for the entire contract up front. They won’t say no,” Sasuke smirked.

The blonde pondered the statement and nodded. No one would say no to that. The boys found a place to unpack their lunches, Sasuke’s face painted crimson as he opened the sack. Naruto didn’t notice, he was used to homemade lunches. He ripped into his sandwich with no reserves. The boys were halfway through their lunch when a familiar hand descended onto the raven-haired one’s shoulder. He jumped at the touch.

“Calm down, Sasuke-kun,” Minato chuckled. “Stop by after school. We need to discuss something.”

“Yes, sir.”

Naruto stuck his tongue out at his father, who returned the gesture. The man was purposefully ruining his son’s date plans, the boy just knew it! He watched his boyfriend frown at his remaining food.

“Its probably nothing serious. Dad most likely wants to offer you help in moving somewhere permanent,” Naruto tried to comfort him.

Sasuke only nodded. He choked down his food. He looked no different on the outside to those around him. He never faltered in his image. No one could ever know he had been kicked out, and most likely disowned. It ruined everything Sasuke was. His day passed in a blur from that point. Naruto was the only thing he kept moving forward for. He took his notes in class as he should. He did his assignments. He remained the perfect student. The only thing that had changed was on the inside. He would have sworn, standing in Minato’s office after school, that he had only blinked and he was there. Minato looked more serious than Sasuke had ever seen him. Kakashi was once more standing behind the man, only this time he looked confused.

“I’ve called you both here to set up an arrangement. Sasuke-kun, I have already been informed that your father reported your credit cards stolen this morning. You can still try them, but I’m sure they won’t work.”

Sasuke cursed internally. Infernal old man, he could not have just waited one day.

“So my solution is this. Kakashi-san has extra space. You will live with him.”

“What?!”

Two voice, one much louder and outraged. Sasuke was confused, to say the least. He did not know this man, and the principle was not his father. Kakashi was about ready to knock Minato out. He hated kids. And the Uchiha brat was one of the worst. He was red with anger. Minato neglected to look back to the man.

“It will only be until Sasuke-kun can support himself. Well, it can last longer if desired, but I have the feeling that isn’t going to happen.”

Sasuke crossed his arms. He had only been there a few hours and already the man was passing him off the someone else. To say he was mad was an understatement at this point. Kakashi glared at the boy. His hand moved to his pocket as if to protect the contents. How was he ever going to get caught up on his porn at this rate?

“Is this at all necessary?” he asked.

“Kakashi-san, it really is.”

“Find someone else. I won’t do it.”

Minato turned his sickening smile on the younger man.

“You’ll do it or find somewhere else to work.”

And that was how Sasuke and Kakashi found themselves moving Sasuke’s things for the second time in twenty-four hours. Kakashi made the boy do most of the work. It was his fault, after all. Naruto had been forbidden to help. His mother had insisted on him obeying a normal grounding for once. He was to go straight home and stay there. She had gone as far as to make him sit in the living room or kitchen with her. He was not to be trusted alone for good reasons. The result of which found Sasuke unceremoniously tossing his things into the spare bedroom in Kakashi’s house. The man was down the short hall lounging in the living room with tea and a book. Minato had driven Sasuke and his things to the small two bedroom house and helped to move everything into the living room. Two hours later, Sasuke had all his things relocated but still in their packages. He wanted to save the task in front of him until the next morning, but knew if he did not get to it, he would not have anything else to wear. The room had been simply furnished with a bed and a dresser. It had a small closet adjacent to the door to get into the room. Sasuke had frowned at the whitewash walls. It was way too bright. He dug into a box, hoping to darken up the room before he had to sleep. He vaguely heard noise out where the old pervert was. He tried to ignore it. He debated on getting out his music, but seeing as he was on the last quarter of battery life, he left it for when he found spares. He instead tried to drown out the noise and find a place for his books.

Sasuke was hanging a poster on the wall above the head board of his new bed when the door was opened. He looked over his shoulder to see Kakashi readjusting his mask. He was scowling and holding a wooden spoon in his hand.

“Figured you ate like normal people,” the disgust evident in his voice.

“Hn,” was all the boy would reply.

He turned back to hanging the poster. Kakashi was seething at the boy’s back. He really hated kids. He shrugged, even though he knew the boy could not see the movement. He walked away with a calm air. He refused to let the boy know he was riled up. It would most likely bring some form of satisfaction to the raven. Sasuke completely ignored him. He had managed to clear out half of the boxes and bags he had. The room was not messy either; he had taken precise measures to avoid clutter. His rumbling stomach betrayed the cool “I don’t need your food” image he had strove for. He resolved to pick up on the attitude after testing the food awaiting him. He had to admit, it had been awfully thoughtful of his teacher to make enough for two. He ventured out of the room slowly, looking around carefully as if he expected someone to attack him at any moment. He found a small dining table had been set up in the spacious kitchen. Something sitting on a plate at the table looked safe enough. He saw no mess in the kitchen. He could only hope that meant Kakashi made it a habit to keep the house clean. He took a seat and picked up the chopstick next the plate carefully.

“Its not poisoned is it?” He poke at the pasta dish.

“No.”

Sasuke picked some up and let it fall slowly back onto the plate. His stomach rumbled again. He was less than fond of pasta. Having a best friend that inhaled ramen like air would do that to a person. Still, it was that or nothing. The Uchiha boy took a small bite to test it first. It tasted well enough. He swallowed and waited about two minutes. Kakashi rolled his eyes and chose to ignore the boy. Sasuke tentatively picked up a second bite. He ate slowly, completely focused on the disappearing pasta. He had politely laid the chopsticks down and wiped his mouth when he turned to face the man. He was hiding behind an orange book and his plate had become half empty. The mask was still in its place. Sasuke frowned. He would figure out what was up with that mask later. He took his plate to the sink to wash it off. He would show the person he had more manners than the average boy his age. He retreated back to his new room with a final glance at the still covered face. He pulled another bag onto the bed and started emptying it. His cell phone rang as he started pulling the clothes he had been looking for out.

“Hello?”

“How are you, otouto? I told Father he had better not shut off your phone, at least. I take it you got my message.”

“What do you want, Itachi,” the boy ground out.

“Did you at least test the credit cards before moving in with your teacher?”

Sasuke’s blood ran cold. No way the man would know that. He shook it off. Minato could still be considered a teacher, after all. Sasuke frowned at the phone.

“Of course I tried them.”

“There was nothing I could do for that one,” his brother sounded almost apologetic.

Sasuke knew better than to believe the words. He hung up the phone and tossed it onto the bed. He should really smash the damn thing. He pushed the phone call from his mind. Itachi was trying to get to him. He could not let that prick succeed. He was folding clothes and placing them into the dresser when it rang again. It wasn’t Naruto’s ring tone, so he ignored it. He was no mood to deal with anyone. He turned the phone off; Naruto would understand. He finished putting the clothes away and headed for the bathroom with his pajamas in his arm. He pondered about the steam escaping the bathroom, but wrote it off when the door knob turned for him. He turned his back to the bathtub as he walked in. He did not see the man reading the vile orange book while having a nice soak. It was not one of Sasuke’s brighter moments in life. He locked the door before turning around. He fell onto his ass with a short yelp. Kakashi raised an eyebrow. He had his hand covering his face as if he had been yawning.

“Do you need something?” he asked nonchalantly.

“What the fuck?! Why wouldn’t you lock the door?” Sasuke spat.

“Never had to I suppose,” the hand never lowered. “Now, will you kindly leave?”

Sasuke hesitated. He was searching for words. A simple “I’m sorry” or “yes, sir” would do. Instead, he scrambled to his feet and jiggled the door unlocked to rush into his room. He slammed the door and fell onto the cream colored sheets. He had so just seen his teacher naked….

~*~*~*~*~*~

Sasuke would not meet the man’s eyes. Naruto was frowning as he took notes on the lecture Kakashi was giving. Sasuke only half heard it. He had slipped off to school early that morning. He did not want to be near his teacher - it was still much too embarrassing. Naruto was chewing on the top of his pen. He was completely focused on the front of the room. He had been thoroughly threatened by his parents about passing that year. He had failed to notice his new boyfriend’s discomfort as of yet. Sasuke knew he should be proud that his dobe was finally serious, but somehow he could not bring himself to do anything but sulk. He was really bringing those around him down. The other students had kept their distance. There were rumors circulating as to why the Uchiha was brooding more than usual; none of which could actually be true, because no one could image the perfect boy getting disowned and having to live with Kakashi. Sasuke had started thinking maybe he had given in much too easily. He knew under normal circumstances he would have killed himself before moving in with a teacher. Sighing aloud, he reminded himself these were definitely not normal circumstances. He would just have to suck it up.

The bell rang and Kakashi waved his dismissal. Naruto crammed his things in his bag and stretched happily. Sasuke was still sulking. It seemed the promise of lunch had awoken the blonde from his trance. He looked over and punched the other boy in the arm lightly.

“Hn?” Sasuke never looked over.

“What’s wrong? You’re more dark and depressing than usual,” the hyperactive bundle stuck his tongue out slightly.

“Saw him,” the raven muttered.

“Huh?”

“I saw him.”

“Who?”

“… Naked.”

Naruto dropped his bag that was halfway on his shoulder. His jaw dropped. Sasuke was as red as the food he loved most. The boy glanced subtly to their teacher in such a way Naruto would see. The boy would have to be one brain cell away from being a vegetable to not get the hint.

“You saw him naked?!” he hissed.

Sasuke nodded. Naruto swallowed hard and stared openly at the pervert reading his favorite book. The Uchiha stood and smacked the blonde on the back of the head. He headed out of the classroom without waiting, knowing the other would not be far behind. The boy was quick, a whisker marked face popping up in front of the locker that was being filled with books.

“What the hell happened? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” the person belonging to the face demanded.

“You were grounded. And you seemed so absorbed this morning,” the other sneered.

“Yeah but….”

“It’s not a big deal. He just didn’t lock the bathroom door and I wasn’t paying much attention.”

Sasuke shrugged it off, closing his locker door. He really had not seen anything but the man’s chest. He continued to ignore the chattering beside him as he went on the hunt for edible food. There was no homemade lunch and no money to buy something with. His stomach was protesting loudly, as he had skipped breakfast to get out faster. Naruto had given up on his questions about their teacher at the rumbling noise causing his boyfriend to blush. He started to feel guilty and fished around for money or food in his belongings, coming up with an instant noodle cup and two dollars. He offered them with arms straight out and head bowed.

“Just until you get settled, let me take care of you!” He declared a little too loudly.

“Dobe!” Sasuke hissed, pulling the arms down and the boy forward. “Don’t do embarrassing things. Ask me like a normal person!”

“Sorry….”

“I’ll take the money but I don’t eat that garbage,” the voice was much softer and kinder, even though the words were not.

Naruto stuck out his tongue and smiled. He was rewarded with a smirk. Somehow, even though nothing really was going right at all, Naruto felt that one day it would be alright, because he finally had what he wanted. Sasuke was already buying his lunch as the blonde boy stood in the same place just watching. He was sure that nothing could tear them apart. He had waited much too long for the time where he would tell Sasuke how he felt and get the same affection in return. He trailed after the older teen once he noticed said teen looking for a seat. Naruto, surprisingly, was not hungry. They took their seats and the Uzumaki kid just watched the person in front of him eat.

“Usuratonkachi. Don’t watch me eat like that. It’s creepy,” Sasuke frowned.

“Sorry,” Naruto laughed, scratching the back of his head. “Just really happy, I guess.”

“Of course. You are with me.”

Naruto’s former rivalry with the boy made him want to smack the cocky smile off his face. He crossed his arms in a huff instead. Sasuke chuckled loudly. Naruto steeled his resolve against the very un-Uchiha like cuteness hovering around the other boy. He was not going to back down for a cute face! He turned his nose up, mostly so he could not see the face weakening him. Sasuke slipped into the chair next to Naruto. He grabbed the blonde’s chin and forced him to look. Naruto was blushing when he eyes locked with the serious dark ones watching him. His resolved melted and Sasuke pressed their lips together tenderly. The blonde pushed into his boyfriend and held onto his shirt. He found himself forced back by his shoulders.

“Time and place for everything,” the raven scowled.

“Sorry….”

“Are you not eating?”

“Nope,” the blonde hair whipping in the air as Naruto shook his head, almost catching Sasuke in the face. “Not hungry. And Mom made me eat a lot this morning.”

Another chuckle. Sasuke pulled out his lunch and finished eating. He kept up with small talk, mostly just acknowledging the other when he spoke. He was tossing his trash and heading out with the bell in what felt like only minutes. His hour had gone by much too quickly for his tastes. He debated cutting his last classes. He still had a lot to do at that house. Sighing as he headed for class, he stuck his hands in his pockets. He could not leave Naruto alone. And with Minato being the principle, the teen would not go unmissed. He lead the way in the door, the calls for him to wait up told him his ray of sunshine was not far behind. He took his usual spot in the back corner of the room. Naruto sat down next to him angrily.

“What the hell-”

The bell rang, and Sasuke could only see the mouth moving, the shrill noise filling the air blocking the sound escaping those lips. Jiraiya dropped his things on the desk and grinned lecherously at the girl bending over to pick up her books. A loud growl disrupted and quieted everyone. The newest couple in the back snapped their attention to the board. A dangerous-looking red head glared at his teachers. Naruto swallowed loudly.

“My bad,” Jiraiya chuckled. “Everyone, we have a new transfer student. Some of you may have met him already. This is Shukaku Gaara. He transferred with his siblings from Suna. Please welcome him.”

Whispering broke out as the boy walked past the students without saying a word and finding a desk separated from the others. Naruto kept watching him. Sasuke figured the blonde saw the danger in the new boy as well and was only keeping his distance. He would have shattered on the spot if he knew his dobe was admiring the red head. The tattoo on his forehead screamed rebel, despite its translation to the word “love.” He was clothed in a similar fashion as the Uchiha always dressed, but it had more of an edge to it. He was definitely not the conventional student. Naruto was blushing when Gaara kicked back in his chair and propped his feet on the desk. He was glaring ahead, waiting for the class to start. Naruto swallowed hard again and forced his gaze to the front of the room. Sasuke had already started on his notes and had once more missed the look of his love’s face.
