Spell Bound

Naruto panted heavily as pools of sweat gleamed off his chiseled pecs. He spun around and kicked at the training dummy behind him. He paused. "You just gonna stand there gawkin' all day Uchiha?" He whirled around and flung a kunai into the tree next to where Sasuke was standing.

"So. You're not as absentminded as you appear." The brunette stepped out into the backyard that Naruto had transformed into a training area.

"Did you need something, or do you just like to watch?" Naruto snickered and turned his attention back to the dummy.

Sasuke took a few steps forward, "Maybe both."

Naruto hesitated, cautiously eyeing his teammate, but quickly continued to practice his techniques, "Uh, you feelin’ ok Sasuke? You're acting a little strange."

Sasuke said nothing as he approached the blonde slowly. His eyes now half lidded and his body language more aggressive. Naruto felt as if Sasuke were a predator closing in for a kill. "I've never felt better."

"R-right." Naruto dropped his stance and eyed the Uchiha. He couldn‘t concentrate with Sasuke acting so strange. "Hey! Why don't we go inside? I'm hungry and you look like maybe you should sit down."

"Sure." Sasuke smirked. "Inside is better anyway. Much more private."

Naruto continued to look at his friend with confusion. "Yeah... if you say so." He led Sasuke into the apartment building and up to his residence.

Once inside, Sasuke made himself comfortable on one of the pillows encircling the stout dining table while Naruto began to boil water. "I'm just gonna make us some instant ramen, ok? You are hungry, right?"

Sasuke glanced nonchalantly about the room, "Starved."

A few minutes later and Naruto finally joined the other boy at the table. He set a cup of instant noodles in front of Sasuke and handed him some chopsticks. Once he felt his friend was adequately taken care of, he set about devouring his own helping. Halfway through his meal, however, he noticed that Sasuke was eerily quiet. He peered up from his cup and found the other boy silently observing him from across the table. His hands folded across his face in his usual manner. "Uh...Sa-Sasuke..." he stammered. "I thought you were hungry. Your ramen'll get cold."

Sasuke continued to leer at him unnervingly. "Oh I am hungry Naruto. Starving, as I said earlier. But this," he pushed his cup aside, "will never feed my hunger."

Naruto looked wearily at the discarded ramen, "Uh... I'm sorry if you wanted something else... I could order out maybe if-" his eyes grew wide and he swallowed hard as Sasuke slowly leaned across the table. "Sa-su-ke?"

Sasuke smirked wickedly, "Ooh...I like how you say it slowly like that."

Naruto gulped once again and held tightly to his cup of noodles as Sasuke actually began to crawl across the table towards him. "Wha-Sa-uh-"

"Naruto." he was just inches from Naruto's face, lost in the blue eyes before him. "I've been such a coward. I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I let fear hold me back." Naruto could feel Sasuke's warm breath ghosting over his mouth. The brunette slowly tilted his head down and sharply flicked his eyes back up, "I need you."

All Naruto managed to get out was a slight gasp before Sasuke's lips were pressed intensely against his own. He felt his ramen cup slip from his hand and splash all over the pillow next him as he frantically attempted to comprehend what was going on. Finally, his brain flicked back on and he shoved the other boy off of him, "Sasuke! Wha-what are you doing?!"

Sasuke fell back on his knees, a bit surprised at the sudden shove he'd just received, but quickly recovered, letting his eyes slip half shut once again, "Making you mine." he replied in a feral breathy voice.

Before Naruto could think to react, Sasuke had seized his lips yet again, but this time more forcefully. Naruto could feel the brunette desperately attempting to part his lips and slip his tongue inside. Just as forcefully, the blonde was resisting his attempt, up until one of Sasuke's hands slipped up under his shirt and caused him to gasp at the unexpected touch. Sasuke seized the moment to delve his tongue deep into Naruto's mouth, earning a shocked reaction from Uzumaki. Sasuke was ruthless and as his attack pursued, Naruto began to lose all rationality. After a bit more struggling, Naruto, not-so-disappointedly, came to the decision that he just couldn't fight it anymore. Sasuke jolted slightly at the feel of Naruto's tongue entering his mouth, but realized that the blonde had succumbed to his efforts. Not wanting to lose the foothold he had gained, he frantically began to tug at Naruto's shirt. After some effort and some help from the blonde, the two boys were able to remove the offending article without much loss of bodily contact. Sasuke momentarily pulled away from Naruto's mouth to explore the newly exposed skin. Uzumaki moaned and shuttered as Sasuke’s mouth caressed his bare chest with kisses and licks. Sasuke realizing that he wasn’t going to get anywhere until Naruto’s question was answered, temporarily suspended his attack as he took a deep breath. He let a small smile creep across his face as he slowly leaned forward to whisper in Naruto's ear, "Because I love you, dobe." He settled back once again.

Naruto stared helplessly at the boy in front of him, "You...you do?"

Sasuke chuckled and rolled his eyes, "I've always loved you Naruto, but I had too much damn pride to admit it. I've recently realized however, that pride is just a waste of emotion and that far better things come from being honest."

Naruto sat stunned as he stared at his childhood friend. He could feel tears welling up in his eyes.

Sasuke smirked, "Don't cry dob-"

Suddenly without warning and to both boys' surprise, Naruto forced Sasuke completely prostrate onto the table and planted a long passionate kiss upon his lips. Once his brain finally registered his actions, he started to pull back, only to be dragged back down into another kiss.

Sasuke let a rare smile creep across his face as he dozed off to sleep.

After a while he opened his eyes to find he was no longer in Naruto's bed wrapped in Naruto‘s warm arms. Instead he was seated in a cold leather chair in the Hokage's office.

"Sasuke? How do you feel?"

He blinked a few times, then let his gaze wander about the room. When he came upon his blonde haired teammate, an abrupt blush washed over his face. He quickly snapped his head back and stared at the floor.

"Sasuke? Do you remember?" Tsunade questioned again.

"...Hai..." Sasuke cautiously stole another glance at Naruto who now appeared to be blushing as well.

"Well then, I guess that takes care of that. Make sure you get some rest Sasuke and let me know if you have any problems or strange side effects.

"Hai."

"You're all dismissed." Sasuke rose from his seat and the three chounin turned to take their leave, "Ah, except you Ms. Haruno. I still need to speak with you."

"H...hai..." Sakura bowed her head and motioned for her friends to go on without her.

Naruto and Sasuke silently made their way down the corridor.

"Sa-Sasuke? Did you really remember everything?" Naruto asked nervously.

The brunette didn't respond.

"I see. I... I'm sorry. I should have known that wasn't really you. I'm such an idio-" Naruto's eyes suddenly flew open as Sasuke slammed him up against a wall and began to kiss him passionately. The blonde, completely in shock, didn’t resist as the other boy ravaged his lips. Slowly small tears began to pool in Naruto’s eyes and trickle down his face and right then he would have given anything to lock the two of them in this moment forever. But as suddenly as it had started, it stopped. Sasuke tore himself free from Uzumaki’s grip and crumpled into a heap against the opposite wall.

Naruto looked on completely at a loss. "Sasuke?"

"What did you do to me Naruto?!"

The blonde flinched and stared helplessly at the boy he loved. "I... I‘m sorry! I didn‘t mean to!" Dread quickly consumed Naruto. He chastised himself mentally for what he had done to his friend.. He should have known Sasuke wasn’t himself.

"You...you make me weak! My whole life I've trained myself to be strong and unemotional, but you come along and I lose all sense! I... I just..." Sasuke collapsed to the floor. "I'm not supposed to feel anything but hate and anger but... I love you Naruto! You make me feel love and I don't know what to do!"

Naruto's look of guilt and shame slowly faded away as he realized it wasn‘t the sex Sasuke was upset about. He rushed over to the utterly distraught Uchiha and knelt down beside him. "I- I love you too Sasuke. And- and loving each other doesn't change anything. We've loved each other this whole time and you've been strong this whole time. The only difference now is we know the truth about how one another feels. You can still be broody and love me. There's no rule that says you can't."

Sasuke fought in vain to hold back tears that were already cascading down his cheeks, "But... I'm weak around you."

Naruto smiled timidly. "Good. Be weak around me. Let your guard down around me. Leave the anger and hatred for when you’re fighting.”

Sasuke continued to stare down at his newly moistened clothes as Naruto sat quietly, not sure what else to do. Time seemed to stand still as Sasuke sat battling with his pride; his recently recovered memories racing through his mind. Naruto held his breath.

“... Naruto.” Slowly the clock began to move once again and Sasuke raised his head to look up at the other boy, his lip slightly pouting. "...My fighting would have new meaning... I'd have someone to fight for." Naruto blushed and smiled slightly. Sasuke hesitantly raised his hand to cradle the blonde’s chin and stared longingly into the beautiful blue eyes he so desperately wanted to see everyday. "Naruto." The blonde gazed back, looking just as deeply into the cool black eyes before him. "I love you." Sasuke gently placed a kiss upon Naruto’s lips and they melted into one another's embrace.
