Detailing Insanity

Ok so I had to move to the Yukon, not to mention that I had lost my internet at the old place, so that made posting really difficult, however as most of you can tell, especially those that follow my other stories, I’m back...Unfortunately I have quite a few projects on the go, and so I have to make sure I update all my chapters...this shouldn’t be too hard, I hope...



Anyways as always thank you to my fans who have left me reviews...they are greatly appreciated, and trust me when I say they make me feel like my writing is actually good...



Also thank you to Tachimaru who has been with me since my first post on this site...love ya...XD



On with the fic!



Chapter 3



Naruto had arrived early again that morning, but this time he had done it on purpose. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong at the shop, and he needed to check it out for himself. He walked into the detail bay, and found that the two vehicles that the night crew were supposed to have finished, still had polish on them, which shouldn’t have been the case, he just hoped that the challenger had gotten done like it was supposed to.



He was about to head over to the wash bay to see if the challenger had been moved there to dry, when one of the mechanics came over, and handed him a set of keys.



“What are these for?” Naruto asked taking them.



“There for that challenger hat was left on my hoist this morning. I thought I told you to make sure not to leave vehicles on my hoist.” Replied the mechanic.



“Where did you put it?” Naruto asked, dreading the answer he was most likely to get.



“Its parked outside your bay doors.”



“Shit!” Naruto scrambled for the wash bay doors, and opened them as quickly as he could. The car was sitting out there in the pouring rain, the wax job they had done the day before was completely ruined.



He managed to pull the car in, with little dirt getting on it, and he quickly began trying to dry it off with a shamy. He was almost finished getting the car dry, when he saw Sasuke walk through the doorway.



“Oh good, someone else has come in. Can you do me a favour and start taking the wax off of the vehicles in the dry bay. I need to fix the challenger, the idiots on nights left it on the mechanics hoist instead of moving it here like I told them, and so he parked it outside in the rain.” Naruto explained as he continued to work. (By the way this actually happened quite often at the dealership I was at, this is why they got rid of the night crew...)



“Sure I can do that.” Sasuke replied.



“Thanks.”



Sasuke went back into the dry bay and started to work on removing the wax from the vehicles that where in there. He had been working for about a half hour before he heard someone come into the bay.



“Where’s Naruto?” The man asked.



“He should still be in the wash bay.” Sasuke replied, turning back to his work. It seemed that he and Naruto where the only two people to have showed up that day, and considering what had happened with the challenger, it seemed they were going to be a little behind with the deliveries.



“NARUTO! What the fuck is taking you so long, my customer is here for the challenger! It should have been up front by now!” The man started yelling as he walked into the other bay.



“I’m sorry Neji, but the night crew fucked up and left it on the mechanics hoist again, and they left it outside, do you want me to deliver a dirty car? Besides they asked for a pro pack, and that what their getting. If you want to yell at someone then yell at the idiot that didn’t listen to the instructions I left.” Naruto explained. (This also happened quite frequently seeing as I was a supervisor)



“I don’t want your excuses, just get the blasting thing up front!” With that the man left out the side exit for the wash bay.



“Fuck I hate him some days.” Naruto muttered, as he headed for the door, and began to open it.



“I could always get him fired you know.”



“No, I would feel guilty if he got fired for yelling at me. Besides, he is our best sales men so I don’t think Itachi would want to part with him that easily.”



“He has no right to yell at you, it wasn’t your fault, and besides you and I are the only two who showed up this morning, so there are going to be some delays.”



“This happens all the time, unfortunately even though the detail department is important to this dealer ship, the people working in it are at the bottom of the social ladder here.” Naruto continued as he grabbed the keys, and opened the car door. “Don’t worry too much about it, just finish the wax removal for now, I’ll be back in a few minutes.” Naruto got into the challenger, and drove it out of the bay and to the front of the building.



Sasuke didn’t know why, but he was really bothered by that Neji guy’s attitude towards Naruto. He was doing the best he could with crappy employees who didn’t show up half the time, for the looks of things. He worked his ass off, and he got nothing back, so why did he do this job?



He was so lost in his thought that he didn’t hear Naruto come back into the detail bay, that is until he put a hand on Sasuke shoulder, causing the raven to jump that he nearly went he nearly went through the ceiling.



“Sorry, I thought you had heard me when I came back.” Naruto chuckled at the look on Sasuke’s face.



“No, I was thinking about why you haven’t fired the others that are supposed to be working here.” Sasuke asked returning to what he had been doing.



“Well cause at the moment, I can’t afford to get rid of them. Besides I can’t fire them, the sales manager is the only one who can, and well him and I don’t exactly get along all that well.”



“Then I can always talk to my brother. It’s not fair that you do all the work, and no one ever gives you any credit for it, instead they yell at you when you do everything in your power to make things work for them.” Sasuke started, not really sure why watching how the people here treated the blond made him so angry. It was out of character for him to think of others feelings, but for some reason he wanted to make Naruto happy. It was the strangest thing for him, to care about someone else.



“Thanks, but again, I would really feel bad if they were fired just because of me.” Naruto shrugged, and headed towards the other vehicle in the bay.



Sasuke didn’t understand it, but he couldn’t let things go, not after what he had seen that morning. It was only his second day, but this place had shown him a lot of different things and he didn’t like them. He quickly got up and grabbed Naruto by the shoulder, turning him to face him.



“Sasuke, what are you...” Naruto didn’t get a chance to finish what he had been saying, because he found another set of warm lips pressed to his. It was a chaste kiss, and it didn’t last very long, but it was still heaven for Naruto.



“I’ll talk to my brother, this can’t keep happening.” Was all Sasuke said before walking out of the bays, and heading in the direction of the sales area.
