“Naruto I need…”
Thud
Deidara’s eyes slid to the right side of the doorframe, where a dart had landed; a mere inch from his face. He glanced back at the blonde-haired person who was sheepishly holding a handful of darts.
“Sorry.” He said and set the darts on the desk before moving around to pull the darts from the wall. “The noise startled me.”
The older blond bit back a laugh when he saw the dartboard was covered with papers from the contract. “What’s this?” he asked.
Naruto frowned, “Something else the bastard is trying to torture me with. Anyway, what did you need?”
“Those papers on overseas marketing, along with the design for the flyers.”
Naruto nodded and moved towards the computer where several colorful papers sat on the keyboard. He picked them up and handed them to his supervisor, before giving him a small look. “You know, something is different about you.” He dropped into the chair and thought for a moment, “I’m not sure what it is, but I’ll figure it out.”
Deidara shuffled through the papers before giving Naruto a look, “Whatever you say Blondie.”
A grunt sounded from Naruto before he turned back to his computer, leaving Deidara snickering as he left the office room.
Naruto waited until his supervisor left before sticking his tongue out at him. He knew it was childlike, but he did not care. Today was day three, and even though he knew that he should not be counting the days, he could not help it. In his mind, he was handling the whole thing perfectly; after all, couples did not have sex every single night, or several times a day.
Well, most couples did not have Uchiha Sasuke as their partner.
And that was the problem. Despite all his Uchiha-ness, it was affecting Sasuke harder than it was him, making for an irritable Sasuke throughout the day. And an irritable Sasuke at work was nothing compared to one at home; especially since they were now staying with his brother.
Which led him to question; again, how Itachi had found out about the whole Lent thing, after all, there was no way that the Uchiha was in anyway religious. He was probably closer to the Devil himself at times. He chewed his lip thoughtfully before going back to work on his computer; eventually he would figure out who told Itachi, and when he did, oh they would pay.

“Sasuke!” a cheerful voice sang out, “Have you looked through those forms I sent you? Ino and I need the first few pages back.”
Black eyes glared at the pinkette as she darted into his office room. She had long since given up flirting with him ever since he started going out with Naruto, but she was still too damn cheerful in the morning; especially this morning. Not only had he been denied his blonde-haired lover last night, he woke up late, tripped going down the steps and to top it off, his coffee maker wasn’t working at the office and he hadn’t been able to have his morning coffee.
Not the perfect way to start a morning. He could only be thankful that it was Friday and not Monday.
“Hn.”
Sakura pouted, “Don’t be that way Sasuke, I told you yesterday that we needed those papers by this morning. Or were you too busy sulking and glaring at the wall to remember?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Yesterday, I told you that we needed the papers, and you just stared at the wall. Like you were trying to make it explode into flames.”
‘That’s because Itachi is on the other side of that wall.’ He thought.
Sakura shrugged, “So, what’s going on between you and Naruto; love life going south?”
“What makes you ask?”
“I haven’t seen you act like this since Naruto punched you in the face a few years ago because you emptied the kitchen of all his ramen.”
‘He favored it over me.’ He thought sourly. The punch to the face had hurt like hell, but the rough, hot make up sex was well worth the punch.
“Everything is fine between us,” he said and handed Sakura a stack of papers, “It’ll be better if you tell me what you know about Lent.”
“Lent huh, I didn’t know you did that.”
“Hn.”
Sakura leaned against the corner of the desk, “Well, I know that you have to give something up for forty days but Sundays are like a ‘get out of jail free’ day. Those days don’t count and you can have whatever you gave up.”
Ebony eyes stared at her, “Sundays don’t count?” He asked and reached for the papers in front of him, “I could kiss you right now.”
“Really?”
“No, now get out of my office.”
She scowled at him and walked out the door, leaving Sasuke to smile like a maniac at the papers in front of him.
‘I win Itachi.’

Naruto leaned backed in his chair as he reread the new marketing proposal. Neji had told him that he was going to stop by his office before their break so they could brainstorm ideas for the new flyer layout, and the blond wanted to make sure he understood everything that they were going to be dealing with.
His eyes glanced up when he heard the knock on door and grinned at Neji. “Hey man, I was just reading the proposal.” He furrowed his eyebrows together, “Why are you wet?”
“Our idiot superior freaked out when he said ‘un’ and when he threw his hands up, he had a glass of water in his hands. Lucky me was standing right behind him.”
The blond cocked his head, “But he always says that, why did he get so frustrated?”
Neji shrugged, “Something about giving it up for Lent. Anyway, I was thinking we could start with a light blue background with white lettering and black outline. Naruto?”
Gears were turning in Naruto’s mind. Itachi was friends with Deidara and could have asked him about the whole Lent thing, but Naruto also knew others who partook in Lent as well. His eyes widened though as he turned to glance at the paper that was tacked up on his dartboard; the simple words, ‘We’re watching you Blondie’ now stared at him with crystal clear accuracy.
Only one person called him that.
He stood up and was out of the office before Neji could even blink.

The youngest Uchiha made his way down the hallway to Naruto’s office when he was nearly plowed over.
“The hell?” he asked as he turned around, only to see blond hair vanish around the corner, followed by a loud scream.
He jogged lightly to the source of the noise and found himself staring at Naruto trying to corner Deidara, who he guessed was the cause of the scream.
“I’m going to kill you.” Naruto yelled and pointed his finger at his superior for emphasis. “You told Itachi about your Lent thing, which gave him the idea to use it on us.”
Sasuke let out a sigh and wrapped his arms around the irate blond, “Calm down Naruto, you’ll get your revenge later, but right now, we can have revenge on Itachi.”
“Huh?”
The raven pulled Naruto from the office and waved some papers in front of his face, “I told you that Itachi wasn’t perfect, I found a loophole.” He leaned in closer until his breath ghosted over Naruto’s ear, “You won’t be able to walk Monday morning when I get done with you.”
He pulled away, smirking as a blush stole across Naruto’s face. He placed a quick kiss on his forehead before heading towards Itachi’s office, leaving a confused blond behind.

Itachi was having a good day. Two nights of silent bliss so far and thirty-seven more to go, and hopefully by that time, their apartment would be fixed. It was not that he did not like his younger brother. No, he cared for Sasuke and would help him out when times called for it but he could only take so much before he needed to intervene.
The ringing of the phone broke him from his thoughts and he reached for the device, “Hello?”
“Itachi!”
He closed his eyes, took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, “Yes mother?”
“I was just wondering how you were doing. I haven’t heard from either you or Sasuke since the accident in Sasuke’s apartment.” She paused, “So, are you two spending brotherly time together like I suggested?”
“…”
“Honey, are you still there?”
“Yes, I’m still here mother.” He answered calmly, “And yes, Sasuke and I have spent…bonding time together. We, ah, went to the park last week.”
Silence filled the phone and for a brief moment, Itachi wondered if his mother had bought the lie and was jumping in joy at the fact that her two sons were finally getting along.
“Uchiha Itachi, I thought we raised you better than to lie to your own mother.”
Damn, that woman could sniff out a lie.
“Sorry?” He questioned, “We’ll spend some time together this weekend.”
“Nuh uh,” she said and he could see her shaking her head at him, “Tomorrow is Saturday, both you and Sasuke will be off from work. I want you to come home so we can do something and then we will have dinner together. And don’t even try to get out of this, Itachi; I haven’t seen you two in months and you rarely call to begin with.”
“And what about Naruto? Sasuke’s not going to just leave him at the house, hell; I don’t trust him at my place alone to begin with.” Briefly, Itachi felt bad for dragging Naruto into this but it passed quickly. Mikoto adored Naruto, which meant that if he came with them, his mother would spend most of the time either talking with Naruto or trying to dress him up in something new she designed. He smirked as he remembered the last time Mikoto dressed the blond up; he was certain that both himself and Sasuke had pictures of it still.
Ah, sweet blackmail.
“You know I love it when little Naruto comes to visit, he can come if he wants, however, don’t you dare just drag him with you.” She scolded, “If he has other plans then let him be.”
“I’m sure he has the weekend free, mother.” He answered casually. He would make sure that the blond had Saturday free.
“Great, come by then tomorrow at ten,” she said and than proceeded to tell him everything they would do. Ten seconds later, Itachi had tuned her out slightly in favor of reading over a document that was due on Tuesday. The sound of the door opening made him glance up and glare at the offending person, “I have to go, Sasuke just came in. Yes, I will be sure to tell him mother. Goodbye.”
He hung up and massaged his temples; he could feel the oncoming headache and he cursed. His day had started out so well dammit.
“This better be good Sasuke.” He snapped.
“Having a bad day?” Sasuke asked and smirked at the glare that was thrown at him, “I’ll take that as a yes. Well, I have good news for you, or, rather me anyway. I heard from a reliable source, that the Sundays during Lent don’t count.”
Itachi’s face didn’t change, making Sasuke falter for a moment before he plowed on, “And since you didn’t mention anything about Sundays in your contract from hell; I’m going to fuck Naruto on every flat surface of your house, bastard.”
Itachi raised an eyebrow and picked up the paper he was reading earlier, “Well, have fun with that,” He said casually, eyes skimming over the paper.
Sasuke’s eyes narrowed at the comment, but didn’t press the subject any further. He turned around to leave but his brothers voice stopped him, “What?”
“Mother called earlier. She wants us to come by the house tomorrow at ten so we can bond and do family things, and then have dinner.”
“I have plans.”
“It’s the weekend, cancel them. If not, I’ll call mother and tell her you said you didn’t want to see her. I’d hate to be you when she calls after hearing that.”
Sasuke suppressed a shiver. Their mother was usually calm and sweet, but she could be very daunting when she was angry. “What about Naruto?”
“He can come, provided he has no other plans.” Itachi answered.
The younger Uchiha grunted in reply and swept from the office to go tell his blonde-haired lover.
When the door shut again, Itachi cursed; his day had now gone from great, to bad to worse. His brother had found a way around the contract and now he had to find a way to make Sundays vanish from the calendar.
But first, he had a blond marketing director to find and torture for not telling him about this Sunday rule.
