Chapter 3

Hello again everyone! I hope that you are all enjoying this new fic...however for all the chapters that I have ready to post I find myself having to go to the grocery store of all places in order to upload them because I have lost my internet connection for some reason, and I am currently going through withdrawal...
Anyways...thanks to everyone who has posted a review for this story, as I have said many times, they help me to write faster, and update sooner...
On with the fic...
Chapter 3
Sasuke was the first to come to from whatever it was that made him black out in the first place. As he sat back up he realized that Naruto was still unconscious. He reached over to make sure that the blond was ok, when he noticed a strange mark on the back of his right hand. He didn’t really get too much of a chance to look at the odd marking, before he heard Naruto start to stir beside him.
“What the fuck was that?” grumbled the blond as he came too.
“Not really sure myself, but I think that whatever it was connected us in some strange way.” Sasuke replied whilst raising his hand to show Naruto the new marking.
Naruto quickly brought his hand up to look at the back of it. The same mark that was on the back of Sasuke’s hand was also on his, but with the difference that his was red instead of blue. The mark was strange in that it was a circle, with a small dot in the middle. There were also three teardrop shaped pieces going around the center dot. As Naruto continued to inspect the marking, he began to realize that Sasuke was in fact correct, they were now connected somehow. He just didn’t know how or why this had happened.
“Well I’m sure you’re tired, so I’ll leave for today. I’ll come by tomorrow and see how you’re doing.” Sasuke said as he rose from the couch and grabbed his jacket.
The minute Sasuke had opened the door, and crossed the threshold his right hand began to burn. He collapsed to the floor clutching his hand, and realized that the pain and burning was getting worse.
“What the hell?!” came Naruto’s scream from his place on the couch. He had been getting up to say goodnight to Sasuke when the pain had started, causing him to collapses on the couch again.
Sasuke quickly made his way back inside the apartment, and didn’t stop moving till he was sitting beside Naruto once more. Once he was sitting beside the blond the burning subsided completely, leaving in shock as to what had just happened.
“Guess I’m not going anywhere anytime soon, not unless we want a repeat of what just happened.”
“Not unless we can figure out what’s going on. Anyways, I’ll get you some blanket s, and a pillow. Lucky for you I have a pull out couch. I’ll also get you something to wear for tonight, seeing as I don’t think you have anything with you.”
“Thank you.”
As Naruto got up to get the blankets, pillow, and Pjs, Sasuke got up and started to pull the bed out. When Naruto came back into the living room, he found Sasuke sitting on the mattress, his shirt having disappeared at some point. Naruto had to turn away for a few seconds, or he would have passed out yet again from the oncoming nose bleed. When he got control, he turned to Sasuke and handed him the Pj bottoms, and proceeded to get the bed ready, while Sasuke changed.
“I’m really sorry about all this, I mean I know that we are complete strangers and all, but I want you to know that you can trust me.” Sasuke said while he changed, he felt a little guilty about the whole situation, but only a little after seeing Naruto’s flushed face when he had come back into the room.
“Don’t worry about it, I mean other then the whole hand burning thing, you did save my life tonight, so I owe you for that. Really this is a small price to pay, considering the alternative.”
“Well goodnight Naruto, hope you sleep well.”
“Don’t you mean good morning?” Naruto responded pointing at the clock on his wall.
“Guess you’re right.” Sasuke replied with a slight chuckle.
“I am so glad I don’t have to work today, I would never get through my shift.” Replied Naruto has he headed down the hall to his bedroom.

Sasuke awoke to a knock on the door, and thought about waking Naruto, but decided not to, considering the night the blond had, had. So he got up from the couch, and proceeded to answer the door.
“Sasuke?!” Came the surprised gasp from the young pink haired woman standing outside the door. “What are you doing here?”
“I should be asking you the same question Sakura. You made it very clear that you wanted nothing to do with Naruto, and that the whole reason that you took this assignment was to get closer to me.” Replied Sasuke, feeling rather annoyed with having to see her again. “Also because of your stupidity last night, he almost got eaten by a werewolf, so I hope you’re happy.” Sasuke had trouble containing his anger as he spoke.
“Serves him right for dumping me yesterday.”
“Actually you deserved to be dumped you didn’t act like you cared in the slightest about him, or the assignment, which for the record was too protect him.” At this point Sasuke had to take a few deep breaths before he strangled the idiot woman in front of him.
“Ya well I’m here to get him back, besides you weren’t even supposed to make contact with him, but you did, so who do you think is going to get in more trouble.”
“Go back to headquarters Sakura I’ve already informed Kakashi about this, so there is no reason for you to stay here.” With that Sasuke slammed the door in her face, and proceeded to make sure that Naruto hadn’t been disturbed.
Once he was sure that the blond was still unconscious to the rest of the world, Sasuke returned to his bed on the couch, and went back to sleep.
Ok so here is the next chapter, hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long for this...unfortunately my internet is down so I can only update when I get a chance to go to a hot spot...so I will be uploading multiple chapters...as always pls R&R...XD
