Okay,at first she frightened him,but now he really was fond of her.Of course that thing with 'being prepared to give him up' was still a mess in his head,that was a certainty.Another certainty was that she had nothing against him being with Iruka as long as he was serious about it.The more serious he proved to be,the more he was rewarded.

He had that image of Iruka in his head and played it tons of times.He honestly felt like he had to act like an obedient dog to get the good.He didn't like it,it didn't feel good to him.He was nobody's dog,but he'd play along for a while.
