Why Orange?

Itachi:(looks down at T.W.)Now what has you depressed? I swear your moods chance so much you must be bipolar.

T.W.: Noooo I'm just a Cancer, we're moody creatures. AND if YOU had to help put two weddings together for the brides from hell you'd be depressed too!

Sai:Translation please?

T.W.:Two of my cousins are getting married and for some reason they felt that since they like me so much they would honor me with helping them set their weddings up.

Itachi:That's a lot of sarcasm.

T.W.:You think(takes deep breath)O.K. enough about that, it's irritating. A couple things before I move on to the chapter. First, thank you MikiyuSado for explaining about akatsuki. Second, Damp-kun believe me with enough money, influance, help, and threats you can pull an elegant beautiful wedding together in as little as a day. Third and finally, this chapter will be short by my usual standards because I'm stopping it before the reception. Reason being is that I'm reworking the reception scene, I'm not really happy with it right now.

Chapter 30 Wedding

Naruto was getting dressed in Tsunade's office. Sakura had convinced him and Sasuke to wear contrasting tuxedos indtead of traditional Japanese formal wear. Currently he was struggling with the tie, "Ne Sakura-chan, could you help me with this thing?"

The pinkette stepped over and began to deftly knot the white tie. Once finished, she stepped back and studied him as he put on the jacket, "You look very handsome Naruto."

He grinned at her, "Thanks Sakura-chan. You look pretty good yourself, Choji's tongue must have been hanging out when he first saw you in that."

She laughed and twirled a bit, showing off the red empire waisted off-the-shoulder dress.

Naruto glanced out the window and saw all the guests assembled and a huge crowd of villagers lurking around the perimeter's edges then, he caught sight of Sasuke standing next to the alter. The avenger stood dignified and elegant in his black tuxedo as he waited for Naruto to appear. They had decided that, despite Sakura's insistance that he walk down the asile with a bouquet of flowers, Naruto would teleport to the alter. He may be pregnant but he wasn't a girl after all. He turned towards the door as it opened and Iruka stepped in.

"Ready Naruto?"

He smiled and nodded as Sakura left the room to join Choji among the guests downstairs. Iruka fussed a bit to kill the time until they were sure Sakura had gotten seated then, they teleported to the alter.

Sasuke watched as the smoke cleared revealing Naruto. The day was bright and clear and the sun made Naruto look almost angelic in his white tuxedo. Sasuke smirked, "Dobe."

Naruto responded in kind, "Teme."

Tsunade stepped forward clad in the ceremonial Hokage robes, "Shinobi and citizens of Konoha, we are gathered here to witness as these two shinobi join together as one in marrage. From this day forward the troubles and joys of one will be the troubles and joys of the other. Sasuke, Naruto join hands."

They clasped their hands together tightly.

Tsunade nodded at Sasuke, "Make your vows to Naruto."

Sasuke locked his gaze with Naruto's, "When I lost my clan, I swore to never allow myself to love or care for anyone ever again. Then I met you and, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop myself from loving you. You got past all my defenses with your persistance, giving heart, unwavering loyalty, and occasional idiocy. Never once, in all the times I hurt and betrayed you, did you ever give up on me. I never asked to love you, never wanted to fall in love at all, but loving you and being loved by you is exactly what I need to be truly alive. I can't promise you that I won't occasionally do hurtful things or that we won't fight, but I can promise that I will never hurt you intentionally and I swear that I will never leave you for as long as I live. I will always stand by your side, protecting, loving, and supporting you as your best friend, as your lover, as your husband. I will always be yours Naruto."

The entire female audience had tears rolling silently down their cheeks except for Tsunade, who was biting the inside of her cheek to keep the tears away. She nodded at Naruto, "Naruto it is your turn to make your vows to Sasuke."

Naruto swallowed to rid himself of the lump in his throat that had formed at Sasuke's words, "For years I was alone and despised and I almost gave up hoping that would ever change, but you gave me the strength to hope again. I felt like a puzzle that was missing a piece that was vital to the picture. You are my missing piece, you complete me. Your friendship and love have been my foundation, my reason to be strong. You said I saved you from the darkness you had been consumed by but you saved me from my hell of lonliness. I know that with you by my side I can do anything and everything. I know that we'll argue and irritate each other as well as agree and delight each other, that's part of being in love. There's no way to guarantee that I won't die on a mission or trying to protect Konoha, all I can do is promise that I will love you with all that I am, even past death. No matter what I have to put up with, whether it's fangirls or your anti-social attitude, I will always belong with and to you Sasuke."

By the time he finished the women, along with Guy and Lee, were flat out bawling and Tsunade's mascara was running. The Godaime cleared her throat, "A ring is a visible reminder of your promises to each otherm a symbol to signify your bond. Sasuke do you have Naruto's ring?"

Sasuke nodded and pulled the ring out of his pocket and slid it onto Naruto's finger. Tsunade turned to Naruto, who had a mischevious twinkle in his eye, "Naruto do you have a ring for Sasuke?"

"Yes."

Sasuke jolted in surprise and watched as Naruto fished a ring out of his pocket. It looked like Naruto's ring except for the stones, which were sapphire and ruby instead of blue topaz and onyx. 'When did he?' As Naruto slid the ring onto Sasuke's finger, he said, "I asked the guy who made my ring to have one ready for you by today. We are equals after all."

Sasuke smirked at Naruto's self-satisfied expression.

Tsunade told them to clasp their left hands together and began to wrap a red and blue silk cord around their wrists, "As this cord is tied so are you bound together as one from this day on. If anyone has reason why these two should not be married speak now or forever hold your peace."

You's think, with the fierce glare Tsunade was sending the audience, that no one would say anything but apparently someone was either very brave or very stupid because a man from the perimeter's edge raised a hand and said, "What about the continuation of the Uchiha clan?"

Tsunade looked questionally at Naruto and Sasuke. They nodded and she called out, "Thanks to Naruto's unique circumstances, he is already pregnant with Sasuke's child," the villagers gasped, "so the Uchiha clan's continuation is assured. Now if that is the only slightly reasonable protest," she paused just long enough to confirm that no one else was going to say anything, "we'll continue the ceremony."

She tied the cord in a simple knot and raised their joined hands in the air, "You are now wedded life partners, let no one tear you asunder," she released their hands, "You may kiss the groom."

As Sasuke took Naruto's mouth in an intense kiss, a huge roar of approval sounded from every shinobi and most of the villagers, who had recovered from their shock, and the man who had protested was being kicked and smacked around by a group of SasuNaru fangirls.

Itachi:That's pathetic.

T.W.: You're bound and determined to make me more depressed aren't you?

Itachi:Yes.

T.W.:You are such an ass. By the way, where's Sai?

Itachi:He's a little tied up at the moment.

T.W.:What'd you tie him to this time?

Itachi:A shower rod.

T.W.:(stifles nosebleed)I don't suppose you'd bring me pictures of that would you?

Itachi:I'll think about it.
