The Truth
Koroshi took Shisui over to talk to Anko one day after Anko had gotten back from a mission. She knew her sensei didn’t yet know that she had been with Itachi, as she kept that information as private as possible, and so she would go and talk to Anko today. Most of the other ninja knew, or the ones she had been closest to, at least, but Anko had not learned of it yet, because Koroshi wanted to tell Anko herself. Anko was, of course and as per usual, eating dango when she arrived. Anko noticed her, and glared at the child. “What is it that you want, Koroshi?” Anko asked. “I wanted you to meet the child of Itachi Uchiha, sensei.” Anko dropped the dango she was bringing to her mouth. “Wha--?” Koroshi brought Shisui over to Anko. “This is the truth, sensei. On my sixteenth birthday, Itachi came to see me…and we…well, we had sex. And then, I got pregnant with Shisui. But, we found out that I have this really special reproductive system, and well…Orochimaru kidnapped and impregnated me…I am so sorry, sensei…but, at least, treat this child nicely. This child has nothing to do with Orochimaru other than the fact that it will be Orochimaru’s child’s half-brother.” Anko stayed unusually silent through this explanation. She absorbed it all, and finally, she took Shisui into her arms and gazed into the child’s eyes. She saw the solid blackness of the Uchiha clan’s eyes, and Itachi’s under-eye-lines beginning to form, and she smiled. This was definitely Itachi’s child. “I believe you. And I thank you for telling me the truth. Come on, let’s eat some dango! I’ll even buy!” They laughed, and enjoyed the dango.
