Kakashi slid his blade into a body cutting off the life of the nin effectively and then he felt it, the thrum of demon power flashed and pulsated through the surrounding area. It was the same as twenty-three years ago when Kyuubi had first attacked Konoha. Naruto had released the nine-tails completely, and the transition could kill him.

“Leave none alive! Kiba, Shino, Inoichi, Lee and Sakura follow me! Shikaku I’m leaving you in charge of everyone else with Chozu!” Kakashi barked loudly gritting his teeth as a kunai slashed through his arm. Blocking the next blow, he killed the nin swiftly speeding through the trees the subordinates closely behind him.

Whirling red Sharingan caught the demons moves but was unable to block the immense amount of chakra that ripped through his body. He went flying towards the nearest rock out cropping, twisting his feet he landed driving a hole into the stone from the impact. Gritting his teeth Sasuke glared towards the Hokage. With being in the nine-tails form, their was no way Naruto’s own body could survive for a long period time, he was dying every moment he fought. Slashing downward, he cut through the spiral of sand that went for him, his reddened glare towards the Kazekage.

“Out of the way Sabuku.” Naruto growled, lashing around to dissipate the wall of sand with one crushing blow of his tails, black eyes leveling at the others. Whipping back towards Sasuke he took to the air his claws spread out as his body barreled forward. The beast multiplied four ways, each going different directions around the Uchiha, Kyuubi’s out of control chakra sizzling through the cavern. Brandishing his blade Sasuke flash stepped through the thick of claws, fur and fangs, destroying two of the monsters clones bearing down on the real one with deadly accuracy. Flicking his fingers up, his one hand formed the signs necessary his next jutsu, while his chakra-filled blade slashed out behind him as the final clone bared down on him.

“Sendo-kansei!”(1) Sasuke hissed his blade flashing in the dim light taking the brunt of the pure chakra away from its wielder. The ground shook under the transformed Hokage and twin snakes erupted beneath the Kyuubi, twining through the legs and around the body. Growling the beast let out a harsh laugh;

“Your binds mean nothing to me, and you deserve to die Uchiha for what you have done to my holder” Snapping at the snakes the Fox ripped them apart lounging forward towards Sasuke. The Uchiha sidestepped hastily and as the beast landed on the cavern floor it shook beneath it and once more binding snakes erupted underneath capturing Kyuubi.

“I didn’t know demons had morals, and if I have to rip you from his body then so be it.” Sasuke snarled back, curling black smoked filled the area as the demon escaped it’s hold a second time and caught the Uchiha between its teeth growling as black and red clashed together. The teeth were sharp and pierced skin and bone. Sasuke escaped the mouth in flash step, leave nothing but torn clothes in the mouth.

“Dokubutsu sendo-kansei!” (2)

Eight Snakes burst from the ground each one wrapping its self around the beast their fangs opening wide and they buried them into the flesh of the demon. Screeching the Fox tried to shake the fangs but they only sank deeper in, spilling a secretion of poisoned chakra into the blood streams. Baring his teeth in a loud snarl the demon lounged forward to break through the snakes, but each step forward more would sink their poison into the body. Rage welled deeper in the hatred-filled black eyes but Sasuke turned away from them blocking a wall of shuriken-filled sand and dissipating it with a flick of his wrist.

“I’ll kill you.” Sasuke hissed the blue chakra racing down the edge of his katana, flying forward he swung down and was blocked by Gaara’s ultimate defense,

“Not unless I kill you first,” was Gaara’s deadly promise.

The darkness that Naruto resided in shuddered abruptly, and the pain of the transformation ripped through his body. Staggered he held firm to his mind.

His traps are everywhere, poisoned now, he his strong, stronger then Yodaime.

Came the rumbling voice through the darkness. Naruto felt his body shaking with the effort of holding the transformation, mastering this had taken years and done way outside the village borders. His cerulean eyes opened merging with the obsidian ones, taking in every sensation the fox was. The fight between Gaara and Sasuke raged before him and an angry well surged through his body

“Destroy them all”, Naruto gritted feel the muscles surged to life ripping the fang from the body even as the poison coursed boldly through his body.

Your body is weakening, hissed the demon, and I cannot keep this poison from your own veins

“Just a little longer” Naruto replied forcibly, he would not let Sasuke get a hold of Gaara at all costs. His crimson chakra flared to life around him and their combined chakras combated Sasuke’s. Ripping free of the venom-filled fangs, Kyuubi lounged forward shredding the snakes apart. Each clawed step forward however caused the ground to spit out more of the jutsu’s snakes, each one filled with the same poison. Black enraged eyes took in the fight while the snakes entwined even more around the body, the fangs sinking hard and deep into his shoulder and flanks.

Naruto’s eyes rolled up at the shared pain as the venom coursed through his veins, his inhabitants pain his own. Struggling against the agony, he could feel how the use of the technique was practically tearing him apart from the inside out, the venom only quickening the process. Shrieking out, the poison sank into every pore of Naruto’s being,

Uchiha The demon snarled fiercely trying to stay in that final form to get closer to kill this man. The flesh convulsed and he had no choice but to return or he would destroy the body he resided in. As the Naruto’s convulsing body transformed wounds ripped sickly across the flesh, while burns and bruises marred the skin in animal like markings, his demon unable to heal damage done to the body or stop the venom pumping in the veins.

Gaara snapped his head up, his flat green eyes widening as the demon was defeated and watched the traumatic effort as the beast turned back to man and Naruto fell to his knees his body ravaged from the use of the nine-tailed fox.

“Naruto!”

A blade glimmered from the corner of his eye and he twisted around his hand shooting out as he grabbed the wrist that held the blade,

“You will pay.” His voice was a deadly hiss, and his chakra began pouring in waves, filled with nothing but bloodlust. The Sharingan clashed with the former demon holder. A palm full of crackling lightning raised and Gaara twisted the wrist that held the blade blocking the advanced chidori with a wash of sand, his crushing fingers wrenching the wrist so hard around a loud crack of breaking bone could be heard. The arm whipped the broken appendage away. No sign of pain ever crossed Uchiha’s face. Gaara shifted his feet, the rock ground cracking in spider like webs under him and pulling up the finest of sands and powders swirling around them in a stream of sand catching Sasuke in the storm and sending him against the nearest pillar of rocks. The Uchiha only curled his lip with distaste and shot through the sand reaching for the dropped blade with his left hand. His speed increased and they both crashed together in a flurry of movement, bloodthirsty sand and chakra filled katana. Sasuke dodged the avenge-filled sand twisting to increase the momentum of his blade while he thrust deep into ground raising the limp hand up by the wrist ignoring the awkward angle and with a harsh snap brought the bones back in place his eyes narrowing at Gaara.

“Mangekyo Sharingan” He rasped out the blazing sharingan whirling in his eyes.

Nothing encountered him on his journey through the labyrinth of caves and hallways, but there was bloody evidence of the halls formally being manned. Bodies were torn to either pieces or just thick splatters of crimson blood and crushed bone on walls and floors. Stepping through the liquid on the ground Kankuro eyed the halls, narrowing them as he laced the marionette from on his back. The deeper he moved through the underground fortress that the easier he felt the rocketing fight and pulsing chakra. Sliding through he pressed his back against the wall listening carefully, placing a hand on the smoothed stone as the ground shook beneath his feet. He was very close. Though he felt two conflicting, chakra’s a third was not felt…the sound of battle roared to life as he entered a wide cavern. He rocked backwards on his heels tightening his grip on the chakra strings of his puppet as he watched almost horro struck. Twisting and clashing he had never seen his brother come hand to hand with another in battle, his sand working almost only as offensive. Kankuro’s eyes slid across the ground; the black eyes landing on a crumpled body, deep wounds easily bleeding out, the blond hair matted in blood.

“Shit!” He cursed urging his feet into sudden movement, landing near the outskirts of the cavern. The ground rumbled in protest and a wall of snakes spewed from the earth stopping Kankuro’s progress. Three of snakes lounged forward straight for the puppet-manipulator, whipping out two summoning scrolls Kankuro bit the tip of his thumb racing the blood across the writing on both scrolls

“Karasu, Kuroari, Sanshouo!” He jerked the strings up the, attaching chakra to the summoned marionettes,

Sanshouo’s frill swung downward deflecting the Snake’s heads as Kankuro evaded the attack, fingers straining he curled his left hand blades whipped from Karasu’s arms and sliced through the thick of the Snakes that attacked. Whipping around as the ground shook behind him his eyes widened in shock as a blood red dog ripped the snake that would have been in Kankuro’s blind spot to pieces snarling and growling it’s fur bristling.

“Guess we’re even now.” Kiba said with a large grin, jerking a folded giant shuriken from a side pouch and lashing it towards the wall of snakes with deadly accuracy. Kankura yanked on his strings,

“Guess we are.” He grunted, knowing if Kiba was here, then shinobi’s under Kakashi’s command would be to.

Naruto struggled to breath, fire coursed through his veins and wounds ached, his demons anger still whirled dangerously through his body, but it unable to be abated. Gasping heavily, the eyes cracked open the fight raging right before him. Shaking with effort Naruto's teeth clenched, an animalistic growl racing out his throat mixing with his labored breathing. The heady chakra roared in his ears as he strained to keep his consciousness. The blackness was just at the edges of his eyes….

“No!” He snarled to himself biting off the agony-filled gasp before it could leave is throat as he pulled his body from the ground. His blood dripped every, reopened wounds bleeding freely. He could see black unquenchable flames buckle sand and electricity raced along a raised katana--

‘move move move’ He chanted in his head taking an unsteady step forward. They were going to kill each other. The sand was moving even faster, spikes filled with kunai and senbon needles. Naruto jerked his foot forward.

‘Just a little more’ He begged inside, ‘more let me move’ He hissed silently. He had to stop this. Stop them. A spark of blood red chakra flared inside of him, it was just enough. Digging his foot into the ground, he shot forward stepping right before blows hit. A blade slid into his belly, shocked Mangekyo Sharingan eyes widened and the spiked sand drove deep into his back. Clenching the shoulders tightly in his fingers he gasped in pain.

“Naru…to?” Sasuke stared at him, the Sharingan fading instantly from his eyes. The blond took in heavy labored breathes, half lidded pain filled eyes lifted to the others.

“...Your death was on my hands, and my hands only...I was...not promised the...title of Hokage if I killed you.” Naruto started haltingly, holding up a shaking hand to stop Gaara from interfering even as the sand, kunai and senbons slid from his body.

“…Seeing you though, for the first time in such a long time…my resolve wavered. I knew what you had done, and what you hadn’t. Most of those murders were not your doing.” He inhaled sharply, his darkened blue eyes focused solely on Sasuke’s.

“But I did it anyway, as I was ordered….or so that’s what the elders heard.” The eyes went even wider in shock,

“You let me live.” Stated the man. Naruto sagged against him coughing out blood, it dribbled down his chin,

“It…was a warning…..for some reason...I…always…knew...you were...alive...maybe it was because of Tobito, the one who deserted right after the mission…..” Naruto shuddered briefly, his eyes un-focusing just for a split second “….but you killed Neji…almost killed Gaara.” Blue snapped up his,

“And hurt countless others putting my village at risk. This is something….I cannot forgive.” Naruto gripped the shoulders tighter as the blade slipped from his gut, blood dripping from the edge and out from the hole in his belly. It dropped to the ground in a loud clatter. Naruto’s eyes found Sasuke’s again, dropping one hand to a short katana stolen from Kuroraka.

“Goodbye Sasuke” He continued kissing the cheek before slamming the blade deep into the chest. Shocked, Sasuke gasped staring at the swimming cerulean eyes and grunted as the blade was yanked out the sound of metal hitting the rock ground was barely heard. The raven coughed, his eyes blurred,

“…I’m..sorry…..Naruto…” He breathed out before welcoming the peaceful blackness that took him. Naruto had done the deed, every ounce of life source in Sasuke had fled. The blond clutched the body, everything hurt…everything was fading…he couldn’t stand. Was he dying? There was blood everywhere…Searing pain erupted up his body and a cry of agony escaped his throat.

AN: OK all…I know what you are ALL thinking: I made Naruto WEAK (OMG Gasp!!) (ok maybe not *all* of you…l) but anyway, let me recap something’s: Naruto fought a nin who had a bloodline limit of draining chakra resulting is his capturing, then his chakra has been suppressed along with the demons during his time in Sasuke’s…lair? (enter evil dramatic music..) as well, when he finally breaks the suppression by killing the person who drained most of his chakra he immediately had to resort to using his demons (as well as he own anger fueled that decision). So already he is pretty much working on empty, and then with the decision of going into the full nine-tailed formed, (yes he is very powerful able to kill anyone with below the ability of a Kage,) BUT the Nine-tail form can easily destroy his body so he cannot hold it for a long time. Add that with the Sasuke’s lovely fanged pets and we have one really hurt Hokage. Remember also, Gaara is pretty fresh, NOT having to fight nearly as extensively as Naruto has. I do not want you guys to feel as if Naruto is weak at this point, or can’t fight, that wasn’t my intention at all. So…other then that…Any questions?

AN2:...Had to have Sauske repent in some way..couldn't help it...-tears- Umm...hope you...enjoyed? I guess? Erm...welll...I can *say* this is the last chapter....-waits for cries of protest hears only chirping crickets-...its up to you guys...I didn't get a lot of reviews last chapter..and I thought I was doing so well...maybe I was wrong?
