Drabbel Days

Naruto stared at the old book sitting at the bottom of a chest, covered in dust. The old witch had told him, in no uncertain terms, that this book of spells was off limits. She was always telling him things were off limits. He was good though; she’d said herself that he would become one of the best warlocks ever, followed by some other things about patience and studying...he didn’t really listen to the rest of what she’d had to say.



All he knew was that she went out of her way to make sure he didn’t find this book. And now, without her catching him with the book. he had to prove her wrong.



Naruto grinned as he grabbed the book and made a dash for his room, thankful that she was downstairs in the kitchen having drinks with another witch. All he had to do was get to his room and successfully cast one of the spells; then he could rub it in her face.

He stared at the tall man standing naked in the middle of the circle drawn on the floor of his room, smirking at him. The man’s pale skin hosted a dragon tattoo from his ankle up to his neck, leading to a face where he met blood red eyes. The spell was supposed to be a simple ghoul summoning spell; though when he’d thought of a ghoul, this wasn’t what he was expecting. Then when he had tried to cancel out the magic...well, clearly the guy/thing was still standing there.



Naruto scooted back against the wall, as the man started towards him, his face grim.



“Why? Why are you still here?” he asked as the man leaned over him, elbow resting against the wall.



“You didn’t read the whole spell, just how to do it, didn’t you?”



“Of course I did!” So what if maybe he got bored after the know-how part and didn’t read anything else?



“What comes after the magic words is like the fine print of a contract. I can’t believe you didn’t read it. And here I was thinking warlocks were smart.”



H-he was mocking Naruto?!



“You! Just who do you think you’re mocking! I’m very powerful.” That didn’t change just because he might lose focus and gets excited easily, did it?



“Can’t kill the dead.”



“No, but I can make eternity worse. Or… Or…” Or what? And why did he not like that smug look on the other’s face?



“Or, we can have some fun.”



Naruto slipped away, scrambling for the book. Hearing an amused chuckle leave the other, he flipped through the pages, stopping at the one he needed and skimming through to the part he had neglected to read before.



Naruto’s blood ran cold as he looked over his shoulder, the words from the book lingering in his mind. The summoned is bound to the summoner for life. In exchange, the soul of the summoner belongs to the summoned in the afterlife.

Naruto paced in circles around his room while the ghoul lay naked on his bed.



He needed a plan. And he couldn’t get caught by her either. She would kill him. Deciding on at least one thing, he moved towards his closet. First thing was first. He grabbed a pair of his over-sized night pants and tossed them at the raven. “Put those on. Please.”



“Why? Things are much more fun when there are no clothes.”



“Because I don’t live here alone. And... And if Lady Tsunade sees you, I’ll be in trouble,” Naruto yelled.



“Sasuke.”



He grabbed the pants with a smirk, slipping them on. He was taller than Naruto by at least a foot and a half, making the pants end around his knees.



“What?” Naruto’s brows furrowed.



“My name’s Sasuke.”



“Oh, I’m Naruto.” Wait, his name didn’t matter. What mattered was figuring out what he was going to do next, now that Sasuke was clothed.



“So, your master doesn’t know you’re playing with forbidden spells?”



“Yes! I mean...” Naruto stopped turning towards Sasuke. He hadn’t known they were forbidden. He’d just thought she was being a jerk about the spell book. “Well, no, she doesn’t know and I don’t want her to find out. So, you need to go away.”



Sasuke stood, starting towards Naruto who was pacing once again.



The feeling of arms wrapping around his lithe waist caused Naruto to tense up. “What are you doing?”



“Planning on enjoying this bond you’ve created,” Sasuke smirked as Naruto started to pull away. Sasuke tightened his hold. “You know, instead of worrying about your master, you should be enjoying life. Because when you die, you’re all mine. No escape.”



Oh, Lady Tsunade was going to kill him...
