The evil sounds of cackling brought Naruto out of the state of unconsciousness he'd slipped into. He could taste the salty sweat running down his face coupled with the blood. His eyes opened and he saw three of the four sisters standing there. Richi, Tenchi and lastly, the girl assigned by her 'father' to help him, Atchi. Currently said helper was no help whatsoever. Kuchi however, was nowhere to be seen...Naruto fully came around when a bucket of ice-cold water had been thrown on him. He yelled in pain, feeling the water wash over his various scars and open cuts.



"See, I told you he's still alive!" Atchi giggled mischeviously.



Naruto groaned, looking up at his tormenters. One minute, he was lying in bed, the next, Atchi comes in and tries to convince him to let her see his necklace given to him by Tsunade, who in turn, got it from the First Hokage. She hugs him and says he was all she ever wanted in a man, but Naruto told her he was in love with Hinata. She hugged him for a moment more before she looked up at him and asked "Why isn't it working?!" Next thing Naruto knows, he's clubbed on the back of his head and being made the torture toy for these crazed females. He'd been whipped, beatened, hell, even chained to the wall from Richi using a special form of jutsu. Now, he'd been reduced to a beaten, weakened, hungry shinobi with wearing only his black ops pants.



"So, you've been about a week or longer with no food. Are you hungry?"



Naruto nodded, but glared at the girls.



"I can go a little longer."



He was lying to himself. He knew he was on borrowed strength and definitely not from Kyuubi. Tenchi, the woman in charge of taking care of Neji, kneeled down in front of him, cupping his chin in her hand.



"You poor, poor thing and yet, somehow, you didn't succumb to our jutsu like the others did."



"You bitch..."



She pulled her hand back, almost getting it bitten off by Naruto.



"Where are my friends?!" he snarled.



Richi giggled and smiled. Naruto wanted to scratch up that pretty, evil face of hers.



"In a better place. You'd think they'd have stronger wills, but I guess not. Why YOU didn't fall for it is beyond me..." Atchi sighed a little.



"What do you mean a better place...!?" Naruto panicked, fearing the worse.



It was then Kuchi came in with a small sigh.



"Well, that's that. The Uchiha boy fell into it too."



"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SASUKE?!?!?"



Kuchi looked at him in minor surprise.



"He's still alive? Cute."



She walked over to him, pushing her pretty, blonde hair out of her face.



"He's living a very happy with dream with someone you know..."



"Sakura...! Where is...!?"



The girls giggled a little and Naruto then knew Sakura was in no danger. Kuchi grabbed a handful of Naruto's pretty blonde hair and yanked his head upwards. He grit his teeth, trying to ignore the pain he was feeling.



"It turns out...Sasuke has always pined for "Naruko". Ring a bell...?"



Naruto's eyes widened and he could feel a small blush run across his face.



"Now, now, sister...Before we get him to confused, let us explain."



Tenchi, obviously the leader kneeled down in front of him with a devious grin.



"All men have fantasies they wish to live out, or in this case, live in, right?"



She didn't wait for an answer from Naruto and continued on.



"Well, in this case, your friends have proven to us they'd rather live on in a dream state than in reality. Naruto-Sama...Did you know that there's a special type of jutsu that lets you check the memories and subconscious and such of what another person wants? Why, you should, after all, it's an old Hyuuga Clan secret."



Naruto's eyes flew open and he tried attacking Tenchi who didn't even flinch, knowing he was restrained by their chakra.



"BITCH! WHERE IS HINATA?!?!"



Tenchi shook her head.



"Silly Naruto-Sama...We didn't learn this technique from Hinata Hyuuga. Don't worry. Anyway, as I was saying...All you need to do is have something that belongs to the person. In this case...we'll see what we have behind DOOR NUMBER ONE!"



She turned, looking at Atchi who slid open the of the three siding doors to obvious separate rooms across the way from Naruto. He watched with anger as he saw Neji, tied tightly to the wall. His hands were bound by the same type of chakra keeping Naruto bound, however, Neji's hanging from the wall almost made him look like he was being crucified. For the life of him, Naruto couldn't figure out what all the black stuff wrapped around Neji's body was. It was fabric, wasn't it? Naruto noticed it wrapped around his body like a spratic web, including around his neck, his left arm, his groin and his right leg. Naruto desperately looked at Neji, trying to figure out what it was that was keeping him bound to this fantasy world the girls were talking about. It was then it looked up to Neji's face and saw it and realized what that was around his body: His black hair ribbon. The last place it wrapped around was his eyes...Blinding him from the obvious truth.



"NEJI! NEJI, WAKE UP!" Naruto yelled, pulling against his restraints.



"Ah-ah-ahhh..." Tenchi smirked.



Tenchi snapped her fingers and chuckled.



"Let us see what is behind door....number...two!"



Richi did the honor this time of opening up the second sliding door, revealing a nude Shikamaru who was hanging from the ceiling by means of smoke of all things, which coiled itself around his wrists, keeping them tied behind his back. The smoke continued coiling around his body, hiding simply his groin. What blinded him was smoke...Strong, cigarette smoke that floated around his eyes.



"It IS possible to use smoke as a binding process, though, it's a very tedious jutsu to learn." Richi stated matter-of-factly.



"SHIKAMARU! OPEN YOUR EYES!" Naruto yelled.



He panted, suddenly feeling all of his energy just leave him. He was so weak from no food or water...Well, he'd gotten the water earlier, just not how he wanted. He felt very weak...But he had to remain conscious.



"Now, now, Naruto-Sama! We have yet to show you the best!"



Best, she said. Naruto watched as Kuchi slid open the final door, revealing Sasuke...Naruto's eyes were wide with fear at this point. He'd only ever seen such masterful water manipulation from Jiraiya. There, in a large orb of water was Sasuke. He'd been forced into a fetal position with his ankles forced together and tied together, while his wrists had been tied behind his back. Sasuke's naked body just floated there in the large orb of water.



"SASUKE! Let him out! He's gonna drown!"



"Ha! Hardly. This water is made of a special breathable substance called "Misoricho". It's similar to water, but not exactly. Basically...all it is is breathable chakra. This is why Sasuke-Sama was so special...it's because I used a special herb to subdue him and force him into this state of dream. Don't you understand?" Kuchi asked.



Kuchi looked over at Naruto before looking at Sasuke.



"As long as he is in there, he's safe from the pain of the world. He is happy with his...heh...Naruko. Naruto-Sama...did you know Sasuke had these feelings for you?"



Naruto shook his head and growled.



"NEVER! He would never! Sasuke is like a brother to me and he loves Sakura so much he'd give his life for her! GODDAMMIT SASUKE OPEN YOUR EYES!"



"How noble." Tenchi snorted.



The girls all looked at Naruto.



"As long as they are under our spell, they are HAPPY. They don't have to worry about pain or suffering...Don't you get it? They could have had the will to fight this, but instead, they chose to accept the created reality in front of them. These are the choices they have decided to make and as long as they are so blinded by the dreams in front of them, they shall always be trapped."



"But we cannot seem to understand what it is that keeps you from being placed under our spells. Ah, well. Hyuuga-Sama told us all he really needed was to keep the Yonnin of Konoha busy until he was done with his own plan. I can't believe your own Godaime would even believe there was a Village Hidden in the Snow. All we had to do was send a messenger, ie, my sister Richi, to your village disguised as a villager in need. I can't believe Tsunade-Baka would do that to her four best shinobi." Richi tittered.



Hyuuga-Sama...? No...it COULDN'T be...



"Is Hiashi Hyuuga responsible for this?!" Naruto snapped.



The girls ignored his question in favor of the boys who were locked within their fantasy worlds. How they wished they could perform the jutsu of illusion on themselves...What is it like living in a fantasy world?



"OI!" Naruto barked.



Richi looked at Naruto and stormed over to him. She grabbed him by his throat, surprising Naruto quite a bit.



"Listen...You are going to cooperate or else face the consequences, because I'll be damned if I let a little D-Ranked shinobi stop us from realizing my family's dreams."



Dreams? Before Naruto could choke out a decent reply, Richi released him and stormed out of the room, followed by her sisters. Naruto coughed a little, helplessly watching his friends. Did they really prefer the fantasies that held their minds captive...? Naruto shook his head. He wouldn't believe it. He absolutely refused to believe it. He nodded off, only to awaken a few hours later by the smell of food. He saw only one sister this time: Atchi. She was holding a bowl of miso soup and looked a little upset.



"What the hell do you...?"



"You need to eat. Naruto-Sama...I know I haven't done a damn thing to earn your trust, but still...I just want you to understand something,"



She fed him, not releasing his wrists. Naruto took the soup in large gulps. It almost made him sick to his stomach, but chalked that up to the fact he hadn't eaten in almost two weeks.



"This village IS Yukigakure. We are the village hidden in the snow."



"So why the act? Why keep us here?" Naruto asked.



She sighed, looking at the empty bowl of soup.



"We...used to be a very populated, happy village. I don't know if you've noticed, but, it's only my sisters who live here now. Yukigure was such a prosperous village and even with all the snow, we had everything we needed. But then...someone, somehow angered our guardian of the North Byakko. The Great White Tiger."



Naruto blinked a little. Was it just a coincidence that Hinata's spirit guardian was a white tiger? He shook his head of those thoughts.



"Byakko laid ruin to our village just because one person destroyed the trust placed in between them. It's just like what Meidara Uchiha did to summon Kyuubi. You certainly don't think that Kyuubi attacked for no apparent reason, do you?"



Before he had a chance to answer, she sighed.



"It only takes ONE person to destroy the peace in a village protected by a Guardian Beast. Notice the danger Suna faced because of how everyone treated Gaara, or hell, even for Sunagakure sealing Shukaku inside of Gaara of the Desert just for their own, personal gains? To turn their guardian forcibly into a weapon...That is not how it was supposed to work.

Shukaku, the one-tailed raccoon demon..."



"Wait a second...Are you telling me Kyuubi, Shukaku and Byakko are all GUARDIANS?"



"Of course. Why do you think he protects you so much?"



"Simple, if I die, Kyuubi ceases to exist. He still wants to get revenge on the village for being sealed away in me. Hell, I'd rather get revenge on my village for what they did to me."



Atchi reached up and cancelled out a jutsu. Naruto instantly felt his hands go free and he looked at her with confusion.



"Kyuubi, Shukaku and Byakko...While they watch over a specific village in return for peace and the occasional offerings, they were not originally blood-thursty killers, Naruto-Sama. The were betrayed by the people who they laid their trust in. Kyuubi was turned against Konoha in an attempt by Meidara Uchiha to use Kyuubi as a way of revenge on the village. The Fourth Kazekage sealed Shukaku inside of Gaara as a way of using his own son a weapon for the power he housed. And Byakko...Well, it would seem Byakko is the only one who bears no spite against what is left of this little village in such a maliced way."



"Yeah...how did you guys manage to get rid of Byakko? Is he sealed in you or one of your sisters?"



She shook her head once more.



"No...Byakko was said to have died and been born again. But as far as the legend goes, Byakko will only protect a single person because if that single person should betray Byakko's trust, it will not have to seek revenge on an entire village. My sisters and I...we were away on a mission when the village was attacked. When we returned..."



Tears slowly started flowing down her pretty little face. Naruto sighed a little, wiping her tears away and against his better judgement, offered her a shoulder to cry on when he hugged her.



"...There was all this fire...! There were bodies everywhere and we thought we were attacked by another village. No one survived and by the time we went to Byakko's shrine to ask why this happened, there was no trace of him, now, it is just my sisters and I who live here."



"Is THAT why you wanted us to stay? Was it because you're lonely?" he asked with empathy in his eyes. He knew of loneliness and how much it hurt.



She looked at Naruto and shook her head, tears gently flowing down her face from her beautiful brown eyes.



"Papa promised us that he could find some people who would never want to leave us AND he said he would even rebuild our village from scratch as well! All we had to do...was send out a message of S.O.S to the nearest village which was Konoha."



"Papa, huh? But...I need to know...who is pulling all of the strings and why?"



She shook her head with a sigh.



"I wish I could tell you. I only heard him mention his name once and it was Hyuuga. He came to us and promised he'd fix our village and stuff if we could just get the Yonnin away from the village for a little while."



Naruto's eyes widened in panic.



"If this man was Hyuuga, he has NO intention of helping you!"



"What?" Atchi's eyes widened.



Naruto took her hands and sighed heavily.



"This man is EVIL. PURE EVIL. He is Neji's uncle and yet he has scorned Neji for the majority of his life. TenTen, the girl Neji is in love with, was hurt by Hiashi Hyuuga because he sent his family to attack her AND Neji!"



"That's awful! I..."



"That's not even the worse part...He hates me and hates the fact his daughter had a son with me. Please...Atchi, you have to let me return to Konoha! My family is in danger!"



"Yes! I'm so sorry, Naruto-Sama...!" she said, biting her lip as tears rolled down her face.



Naruto embraced her with a small sigh.



"I understand how you feel...When all you have known is loneliness, you'd do just about anything to make it disappear."



He held Atchi for a little while longer. She sighed, looking up at him.



"I wish I could have been born as your heart...It's so strong, wonderful and powerful."



Naruto blushed a little at the compliment until they heard a darkened voice chuckle,



"How sweet..."



"Huh...?"



Before Atchi could even blink, a pure white trail of chakra pierced her directly through the stomach. Naruto watched in horror as she was thrown through the other sliding doors opposite of where the chakra had come from. Naruto stood up, albeit very weakly and glared at the doorway to the right where he saw the old man standing. He was an elderly sort of man with gray and white hair covering his head. How the hell could he have delivered such a blow?!



"You bastard...!"



"I'm sorry, but you aren't allowed to leave yet. You see, preparations in Konoha have not yet been completed."



"Fuck you and your preparations! I don't know who you are..."



Naruto fell to his knees, his stomach in so much pain. His body was ommiting a painful, pink chakra, almost like the type he'd been bonded with.



"Wh...what's happening to me...?!"



He grabbed his chest in pain and could hear his heartbeat in his ears and winced. The pain was too much to bear.



"As I have stated, we have not completed the preparations in Konoha are completed. We have to have the Yonnin...how should I say...occupied long enough to complete what I have planned for Konoha? Plus, we cannot risk you dying in the process. That just won't do..."



Naruto tried to move, but he knew this was a special chakra...He laid there, looking at Atchi who remained unmoving in the debris from her impact.



"Atchi...!" Naruto barely whispered.



The elderly man walked over to where the rest of the Yonnin were being held captive.



"You know...there must be something that is troubling them. Is it quite possible they are not satisfied with something in their lives?"



He chuckled a little.



"I guess it must be so. Ah, Naruto Uzamaki...Well, I bid you goodnight. I have to continue preparations for Konoha. As it turns out...I believe the fifth special shinobi has been dispatched from Konoha and will be visiting us soon. I look forward to taking down who is supposed to be stronger than the great Naruto Uzamaki."



Naruto winced as the man left, releasing his hold on him. Weakly, almost dragging himself to help Atchi. He moved the debris off of her and pulled her body close to his. She weakly coughed and opened her eyes as she could feel Naruto pull himself into a sitting position with her in his arms.



"Atchi...are you hurt?"



She coughed a little more, looking up at him with a weak smile.



"It's nothing I can't handle..."



He sighed, holding her close. God how he wished Sakura were here...He looked at his friends and groaned a little. It wasn't too late...He could still do it...Why wait for some spare shinobi to come and rescue them anyway?



"Atchi...I'm gonna get you help..."



"You're to weak, Naruto...please....stay..."



"I can't. I need you to stay here..."



"NO!"



He looked at her and she shook her head.



"Don't leave me alone! I'll be good, I promise..."



He watched Atchi's eyes roll to the back of her head as unconsciousness gripped at her finally. He grit his teeth as he stood up. His entire body hurt and Kyuubi wasn't helping him in any way. Why? Why wasn't Kyuubi responding to his calls? He'd only taken two steps forward before falling to his knees and passing out...



"H...Hinata-Chan..."
