Neither one was really big on Halloween parties, let alone when it was one being thrown by their mutual friend that went overboard every year. So here they were at the costume store, feeling slightly out of place, compared to all the excited people surrounding them. It wasn’t that they didn’t enjoy Halloween, it wasn’t that they didn’t have fun dressing up, it was just they knew how to contain their excitement and not look like adult idiots in public. Nor did they like Naruto’s parties, though they still went every year.



Itachi walked around the racks full of costumes, looking, unsure of what he wanted to be this year. They never found any they really wanted, they always had to settle for something they could tolerate wearing. This year they wanted to go with something that matched their personalities, well to each other.



They had walked in circles three or four times, before finding an empty area to talk in, hopefully decide what they could be for Halloween.



Itachi looked over the place, watching people wander around, girls giggling as they picked out costumes. He turned to Neji who was doing the same staring at him, eyes not bothering to hide the boredom.



"Let’s get this over with." Neji rolled his eyes as a group of girls walked past them giggling for the fourth time.



Itachi nodded in agreement. "Well, any ideas then?"



"No." Neji moved walking towards the adult costume section. "It would help if we went into the right size."



Itachi followed his boyfriend, ready to leave already. He didn’t want to be here either, maybe next year they should buy their costumes online.



Neji came to a stop, quickly grabbing two costumes and disappearing into the dressing room, before Itachi could actually see what it was he had. So he followed quietly after his other half.



Itachi slipped through the cloth hanging over the door of the dressing room. He arched a brow staring at Neji who was facing away from him staring at the costumes.



"I found us the perfect costumes, finally. I don’t know why we never thought to look for them before." Neji turned smiling, showing Itachi the costumes.



Itachi stared down at the costumes, a slight smirk forming on his hips. "Especially since we both have a tattoo of one." Neji handed Itachi the Cheshire cat costume, holding up his mad hatter one. "We will be keeping them for more than Halloween."



Itachi smirked, moving forward stealing Neji’s lips for a kiss. "They’ll be worn out from use before Christmas."



"That’s what I’m hoping." Neji returned the smirk, "First a preview here."



Itachi nodded, pressing their lips together again. He was going to enjoy this Halloween and so was Neji.
