Glossary for the non-otaku

Mataku!!! (Sheesh) you people are annoying. I don't kJapaJapanese...all the Japanese I ever needed to know I learned from Anime ( sorry for the lots of Japanese in the story, but the kids talk to me that way, and some times, they're both too stuck up to speak in English.) I don't think that there is anything really important to the story in Japanese, but...
Anyhow, or tonikaku as the Japanese would say. Thanks so much for the nice reviews so far. Here's a small glossary for the first three chapters, that will be finished also when the story finishes. I promisse I will be updating soon. And yeah, it's not in alphabetical order... huh the Japanese have a different alphabetical order...Nah, BS... I am just too lazy to put it I alphabetical order. Well then, quit complaining, already.
Kokoro- for the Japanese, heart and mind are one thing, kokoro. The interesting part is that in the kanji, none of the strokes is connected to each other.
no- of . Corresponding to the 's in English
Hinata/Hyuuga – The way it's written the word can be read both ways. Means a sunny place. Has to do, I guess with the fact that they have the byakugan (white orb) and all the vision thing of those folks.
Neji- means screw. Yep. The kid is screwed..tualtually, it may have to do with the fact that his jutsu is the kaiten (turning)
Neji- Nii-san/nii-san – older brother. It's a respectful way to call your older brother, or cousin or any older guy. Kids would say nii-chan...but anyway.
-sama- respectful way to treat somebody very important. Neji calls Hinata this, because she is the heir and stuff. I kinda guess it's not because he actually respects her, but anyway.
sensei- way to address you teacher. But also, way to address a doctor, as in Shizune-sensei.
Ikite iru/ikiteru – alive. Comes from the verb ikiru, to live
Tori (bird) Inu (dog) saru (monkey) tora (tiger) each handseal they perform for their jutsus corresponds to an animal of thenesenese zodiac.
Kurae- eat this/take this...Very popular term in anime
Kumo-spider -me – insulting suffix. Like freaking. Neji-me=freaking Neji and so on.
Shine- Die!
Ore – I Used only by men. Some say, it's only used in Anime.
Wa- one of those Japanese particles that you can't translate.
Chichiue – father. People like Neji, Hinata, Hanabi and Sesshoumaru-sama will call their father that way. Chichi plus ue, to indicate respect. They're classy folks, ya know. Shikamaru and Inuyasha would use Oiaji for the exact opposite reason.
Ikite iru, ka? – Are you alive? Ka – is used to indicate a question.
Temee- bastard
Nameru na- don underestimate me
Korosu zo- I will kill you
Urusai- shu/ann/annoying
Yarou- jackass
Onore- bastard
Deki –can
Come on, Neji is just mumbling non-sense... do I really have to translate this?
Mou daijou-bo – It's all right, now. You will always find that one on anime. More often as Daijou-bu, ka? Are you all right? Something to ask your friend after he falls from a cliff or similar situations...
Genki desu, ka?- Are you feeling well/healthy? You can ask that when you meet a friend, even if he didn't fall from a cliff or anything.
Dame/dame da –Oh, no/ don't do that!!!
Kisama –bastard Ittai – what on earth?
Onegai –please Onegai shimasu -pretty please
Kono Neji, ka? – This Neji??? Some times they will refer as themselves as Kono (insert their name here) As in kono Sesshoumaru or in kono Naraku...instead of I. I personally think only a few of them can get away with this, but that's my opinion.
Naze – why?
Bakamono- stupid thing. Not to be mistaken with bakemono, monster.
Mate-o, kora! Hey, wait.Very rude way to address somebody else. Kora is a very rude Hey! Nice people would say, omachi kudasai...please wait.
Nan-da? What???
Nani-yo? What now, what do you want? A very efficient way to put people on their places. Hai – yesYokuYokumo- How dare you??? Very often found in anime. How dare you say/ do that? Gomen/Gomen nasai – I am sorry I am very sorry... I think Hinata should have said sumimasen to Shizune, instead, which is a more polite form, but I can put words in her mouth, can I?
-chan –affectionate way to treat a woman/girl
-kun – affectionate way to treat a guy
