Loosing my mind
Disclaimer thing : I don't own any of the characters in Naruto. I'm just a poor fan person.
Loosing my mind:
Sakura never stopped running until she reached the stairs to her apartment. Staggering ,falling up each flight still in fear of her life, she finally reached the door. Clambering for entrance, the door flung open and she fell inside. Throwing her body against the door with all the energy she had left, the door slammed shut so hard that the entire apartment shook with her panic. The lock cracked, but she was safe and he wasn't coming . Her cotton pink hair was caked with pieces of forest mud, red zipper top slightly torn, thankfully nothing less than a few scratches and burses that she could pass off that they where from training.
" My god..." Breathless, Sakura collapsed against the door.
The image of her escape played over again in her mind. Naruto grabbed ahold of her from out of the darkness, holding onto her in any way that he could. His expression was blank and meaningless, but his hold was just too strong. Franticly, fighting back with everything she had, by pure luck she managed to kick him square in the nuts and he fell from the tree like a rock. She never looked back from that point.
Her body was still shaking with a serge of adrenaline, too scared to cry, too panicked to move. Covering her hands over her face, Sakura pushed back the mud caked strands of hair from her eyes and tried her best to think over the roots of her situation.
"Naruto ..."
She'd never seen Naruto in such a violent state towards his friends. She was well aware that he had an enormous crush on her as a kid. Could he still have that crush and could that have been what sent him over the edge after smelling the incense? It was now overwhelmingly clear just how much was too much incense and what it could do.
Sakura's mind spun deeper in the mornings events. " What of Kakashi-Sensei ?"
She had him just where she wanted him before things went awry. However, she was no closer to finding out the truth about his feelings than before.
The sun hung higher in the morning sky and rays of light streamed in though the tiny living room window. Sakura winced in pain at the sight of fresh light, right now darkness and closure would be best for her pounding head.
"closure ..." Sakura whispered the words though her lips, that word seemed like it was from a different world.
Curling into a ball on the living room floor, Sakura's hands racked though her stained hair trying to soothe the pounding in her head.
Right now she would give anything to be back in the way she was with Kakashi just hours ago. The way he held her, how warm and secure his body felt intertwined with her's. Just one touch of him felt like heaven and earth bonded for one moment in time.
Sakura felt it harder and harder to hold back the tears now welting in the corners of her eyes over the impression of his dreamscape world. All she wanted was to be with him. This time it didn't have to be anything sexual. She only wanted to be with him, just to be held and loved by the man that she truly loved. Just to be told that everything would be ok, but now far would the have gone if the dream continued on?
Fulfilling her urge to scream, Sakura let go of her anger into the emptiness of her home. " ....And then Naruto came along and ruined everything! Naruto and his stupid crush!"
Once again her thoughts turned back to silence.
Could it be true that he still had feelings for her after all this time? It wasn't like women flocked around him. How many women really ever liked him in that ...
Sakura's mind chose that moment to freeze in time. " No, that's not completely true ...."
Slowly, Sakura raised up from the floor like a reborn fallen angel. A smile of rebirth crossed her lips. She had a plan and also had a great idea of who could make use of the incense and this new jutsu, but more importantly who would make Naruto forget completely about her once and for all.
And the torch has been passed ........ To be continued.
Sorry for this being such a short chapter,this segment really didn't fit with the next chapter and kind of needed to stand alone. Next chapter should be pretty decent length.
