Kyuubi put her hands on her hips, daring Naruto to attack " Lets get started then"

Naruto sprinted forward, fist pulled back ready for a punch. Kyuubi swiftly blocks bending down for a low kick that Naruto deftly moves away from. A quick jab, a miss, kick, high flip into the air barely escaping. He springs back far enough to try another frontal attack. Right before he reached the fox, he bent down attempting to sweep her feet. To quick for him she jumped back just out of reach, her arms crossed across her chest in a laid back postion waiting for his next move, a smirk gracing her delicate features. Naruto quickly took off pushing some chakra to his feet to make him a little faster. He jumped up just dodging her low sweep, she raised her fisted hand and punched his stomach knocking him into a nearby tree, cracking it. He let out a few curses as he rubbed the sore spot a moment, then quickly re-adjusted himself for his next assult. He spun around pulling out a kunai, clicks and flashes were all that one could see.

" Come now kit, you need to concentrate. Read my body langauge and calculate your next move accordingly. Dont just be random about it. Dont let your emotions cloud your thinking. Anger will only allow you to lose faster. Open your senses, dont just narrow them down to your opponent. There is always more to a fight, to any battle. Take in the surounding area, along with their movements and use them to your advantage. You need to relax and not force your body into the movements, its a dance Kit, a dance of death and life. Remember that." Kyuubi lectured.

' Hai ' Naruto responded taking a deep breath, closing his eyes to gather his wits, free himself of all his emotions, and letting his senses free. Opening his eyes he took his stance again, another deep breath, then their dance started once more. (a/n: I totally suck at doing fighting scenes **sulks in the cornor of her room drawing patterns on the floor** oh well)

A few hours later, Naruto was done, he had colapsed on the ground in his mind. Staring up into the blue heavens above watching the peaceful clouds lazily go by. He was out of breath, of course Kyuubi kicked his ass again. She always did, it was really not that surprising, after all she was centuries old and had alot more time to hone her skills than he did. He turned to face her with a small genuine smile, ' Thanks Kyuubi-kaasan'

Kyuubi smiled, " Anytime kit. You should probably get back to the brat."

' Hai ' with that he woke from his meditative state, opening his eyes he found himself staring into depthless midnight black orbs. Sasuke looking over him curiously, he recieved a thumbs up and a fox grin from Naruto. He jumped up enthusiastically “Im ready for that spar if you are. Taijutsu only, ne? I really need the practice.” he grinned sheepishly “ I’ve been kinda slacking off..” he trailed.

Sasuke quirked an elegant eybrow up in question but then shrugged it off. “Yeah dobe, Im ready lets go. Kakashi-sensei said he was going to be there. Something about observing and making sure we dont kill each other..whatever” he said cooly

::Great just what I need.:: Naruto thought giving Sauske a withered smile. " Not like I would intentionally hurt you" he muttered under his breath, then loudly yelled at Sasuke " Oh well lets get going then. Dont want to make him wait to long" Hands behind his head, a fox grin plastered on his face, eye twitching in annoyance over all these developments. ' Will I ever get a break.. Tonight Kyuubi, you are gonna have to wake me up so I can really practice..All these damn distractions..'

Kyuubi laughed " Of course kit, how much sleep do you think your going to need and are you going to rest afterwards.. you know you'll need it"

Naruto growled under his breath ' I'm just going to sleep under the stars tonight. As far as getting me up, I want to make sure everyone is asleep first, dont need anyone following me and watching. I really hate this shit, having to hide, so damn troublsome. Bad enough I have to be here when all I wanted to do is get ero-sennin to teach me a few new moves and Tsunade-baa-chan promised I could listen in on one of her meetings tomorrow..' he was whining but he didnt really care.

Kyuubi chuckled " There will be time later kit. Anyway I think your spar partner is getting a bit annoyed at your internal monologe with me. When do you want me to tell you to stop the spar? Or are you going to make this one where you beat him? You know when he finds out you've been holding out on him, he is going to be truly pissed right?"

' Pfft, yeah I know. Going to be worse when he realizes I've been letting him win the past few years.. even Gaara is starting to catch on I think. Hehe.. Oh well. I'll just wait till he looks exhausted and end it. The only good thing that came out of today is him seeing my meditation style, now I can do it in our room instead of out in the open. I really dont want Kakashi seeing that. Later Kyuubi-kaasan, dont forget me. I'll let ya know when I'm getting ready to sleep.'

Kyuubi smiles softly, " Sure kit, I'll talk to you later. And dont worry to much about the sensei." she disappears back into the recess of his mind.

"DOBE!" Sasuke yelled irritably. He had been trying to get his attention for the last ten minutes. Naruto was staring blankly out and it had worried him, ::what the hell is going on?!::

Naruto blinked in confusion, "Huh..oh sorry teme, guess I spaced out." he scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

Sauske only glared at him as they walked towards the training ground.

"Yo." Kakashi said through a puff of smoke caused by his arrival.

Naruto went towards the middle of the field, Sasuke close on his heels. Kakashi shook his head in amusement and followed. " We will wait for Saukra to arrive before we start. If you two would like to spar till her arrival then be my guest."

Naruto glared at Kakashi but got into his fighting stance, crouched down prepared for Sasuke's attack. Then the dance began. A well place punch here, a kick there. Flashes of light, the clanging of metal on metal chasing the birds from the nearby trees. Toned mucles flexing, sweat drenching the honed bodies. It went on like this for a good half hour before the shriek from their fourth member, brought them to a halt.

" Sorry I'm late. So what are we going to be doing today?" she asked.

Kakashi regarded her a moment then grinned, " I have something easy for today. We are here to work on teamwork. So, " pulling out his treasured bells and jingling them, " all you need to do is get them from me." with that he took off into the woods to start the training, leaving behind three moaning students.

" Well I suppose we should come up with some kind of plan first, ne?" Naruto suggested.

Sasuke's eyes went wide for a brief moment, ::The dobe actually wants to come up with a plan first and not just rush in.. :: His thoughts trailed off as Naruto started speaking again.

" I think its best if we find him first, once we find him each take a side, I can use Kage Bunshin no Jutsu."

" Hn, I suppose thats a start." Sasuke said dryly

Naruto just scratched the back of his head and grinned, ' I did it again didnt I..' Kyuubi only snickered. She had been listening in even though she was trying to rest some. She always loved listening in on her kits training, it was highly amusing how hard he tried to keep his talents hidden from the others. " Yeah well, just remember to hide your chakra so he cant detect you sneaking up." with that said he quickly went into the shadows leaving two wide eyed teamates behind. After a few paces he stopped, mentally smacking himself for once again letting his mask slip. ' Only one phrase comes to mind Kyuubi..'

"And whats that kit?" she snickered

' Open mouth insert foot' he smirked. Kyuubi burst out in hysterical laughter. He did his hand seals quickly, deciding it best to make his clones now and then get stealthy. A little further into the woods he felt a familiar chakra. Surpressing then masking his own chakra, he hid among the shadows. Trying to surpress his true abilities while still showing his capabilites were going to be difficult and he had a strange feeling that he wasent going to be able to do that today. He knew Kakashi-sensei was testing them, seeing if they were ready for the jounin exams. Which was why for once, he was going to take this very serious. Two familiar chakra's came close to him, he let out a string of curses, and they call him an idiot. " You know Sakura, Sasuke.. you arent going to be able to sneak up on him if you cant control your damn chakra enough to hide it." he growled in an annoyed whisper towards his team mates.

" What the hell, where are you?!" Sakura was shocked to say the least, she hadn't even sensed him.

" Here," he stepped out of the shadows, surprising them both. " I told you before you followed to hide your chakra's. He is going to know we are here.. well he is going to know you two are here. I suppose we can use it to our advantage. You can go frontal, I can be back up. My clones are already in postion." he said coldly.

" Hn, whatever dobe" Sasuke deadpanned, trying to hide his own surprise. :: Since when did deadlast get this good:: Sasuke took off to confront Kakashi.

Naruto disappeared into the shadows once again. He knew they would do their own thing. There was no teamwork between them, no matter if that was the whole point of the exercise. He waited for his chance, watching the others try to take on Kakshi.

Two hours later, Naruto was smiling, bells dangling in his hand. Once again, his team mates under estimated him, and didnt listen. Now he smugly held the bells while the others were panting and sweating, including Kakashi.

" I think its time to call it quits. Next time I think teamwork is in order, that was the whole point of this exercise after all. Good job Naruto." Kakashi said as he made the hand signs, leaving his three students alone.

Naruto looked from Sasuke to Sakura and shrugs, " Well, I think I'm going to get a shower and some rest. Later." he waves dramatically as he runs, not wanting to answer the questions he could see dancing in their eyes. :: Shit, I'm such a damn IDIOT::
