Chapter Four

She knew that she had to act fast. The jutsu wasn’t meant to last long and although she had been using it a lot during missions, practice still hadn’t made the jutsu last as long as she would have liked. Despite that, she had a wider timeframe now than when she was a genin. It took her around 20 minutes before she lost control. It was an improvement from the 2 minutes when she first learned to use it. With Kiba being a willing victim, she didn’t have to waste that much chakra trying to bind him but it was still a strain on her. Having burnt up ten minutes of her allotted time, Ino know she had to act fast. She had around fifteen minutes until her link would break.

Biting down on his neck, she ground her hips into Shikamaru’s and felt the blossoming pleasure in her stomach. With a soft moan, she let go and grabbed his face, forcing his head around so that she could look him in the eye. Her hand searched for his warm, twitching length and found it, running a finger along its beading head. He reached up, tugging at her hair as he hummed softly against her mouth. Their teeth gnashed, muscles twitched and hips ground as they worked themselves into a near frenzy. Pushing Kiba’s body down on the bed, Shikamaru followed with his head bent as his tongue worked at the delicate pulse on his neck.

“I-I don’t know what to do.” She spoke to both of them as she squirmed beneath Shikamaru’s mouth.

May I? Kiba asked, his words radiating condescending amusement.

The words pricked at her pride but she let his will guide his own muscles and bones to respond. “I’ve got you, Shika…” Kiba whispered gently in his ear, his voice tender as his hands crept up the delicate vertebrae to the back of his neck. His fingertips brushed against the soft hairs at his nape and made him shiver delightfully.

“Both of you?” He sounded frightened when he asked it. He clung to Kiba’s shoulders, his fingers bruising flesh and muscle as he clenched his eyes shut.

“Yes.” Ino whispered gently, Kiba’s voice was raspy with the passion that racked their shared body. It was strange that the body she inhabited was out of her control. She watched through borrowed eyes as hands ran across Shikamaru’s skin and she felt it. Felt every inch of his warm flesh as if it were rubbing against hers. She moaned softly, the sound came out as a slow growl that originated from the depths of Kiba’s chest. Oh god… Hurry Kiba. I don’t know how long I can take it. She pled with the warm, steady presence in the back of her mind.

Looking down, she realized that her legs—Kiba’s—were wrapped around Shikamaru’s waist. Shikamaru was sitting, his hands braced back against the mattress as he rolled his head on his neck. She took the time then to realize that there was something foreign posed against Kiba’s entrance. The pleasure and the anticipation rang across her skin, making muscles clench eagerly to be impaled on her teammate’s throbbing shaft. “Oh god.” She moaned as Kiba’s legs lowered down and more and more of Shikamaru entered, causing waves of pleasure-pain to crash against her searing nerves. Uttering another small oath to god, Kiba’s body didn’t stop until their lover was buried hilt deep in his body. Relax Kiba’s voice soothed as he tried to gain enough control to keep Ino from hurting both of them. She shuddered before hugging him tightly. Biting down on her lip she gave an experimental rock of her hips and felt the pleasure shatter her nerves.

Shikamaru wrapped a broad hand around Kiba’s hip, begging him to move. She felt muscles contract, the body that framed her spirit moved of its own accord, entirely controlled by the second and rightful presence. His body eased upwards as skin slithered, friction causing lovely spasms of pleasure in the depths of his core. She felt it all, gasping against the pleasure. Suddenly, his body plummeted on Shikamaru’s length, violently buried in Kiba’s warmth. She felt the pleasure blossom anew and gasped before it happened again. Powerful thighs constricted as their bodies met countless times.

“I can feel it!” Ino gasped, rocking back as Shikamaru’s bucked beneath him. “I can feel it.” She said again, closing her eyes to focus on the fire burning throughout Kiba’s body and the pressure dialated.

Pushed on Kiba’s back, Ino moaned as he struck deeper than he had before. “Soon.” Shikamaru moaned against his collarbone as his hips moved frantically above Kiba’s.

“Yes!” She screamed as the fire burst outwards and poured across Kiba’s skin like molten lava.

Her breath was stolen from her body and she was unable to regain her shattered senses as a new onslaught slammed into her. Shikamaru moaned against Kiba’s mouth, his teeth crushing his lips as the pace became punishing. “Kiba!” The shadow-nin tore away from Kiba’s bruised mouth to scream into the shimmering night. He toppled over the edge of his release and seemed to sag against his lover’s broad chest. Arms suddenly wrapped tightly around him and he looked up with bleary eyes right into dark ones. “Ino?”

“She’s gone.”

“When?”

“As soon as you came.”

Sure enough the lifeless body that lay at the foot of the bed breathed to life. She laid breathing softly as she regained her senses. A few moments later, she rolled out of bed and without a word locked herself in the bathroom.

Why had it bothered her that he had called Kiba’s name instead of hers? Whose face had he seen when she was inside of Kiba’s mind? Why hadn’t he realized that she was there, wanting to touch him as badly as he wanted to be touched by her? Why couldn’t he understand that she loved him? The questions seemed to whirl through her brain like a maelstrom and it only seemed to get worse as no answers immediately presented themselves.

She lingered beneath the punishing spray of her showerhead as she tried to figure out why she was quietly crying. She had always figured that Shikamaru had been closer to her and although she knew it was perfectly acceptable to have secrets, he had even hidden the fact that he cared so much for the youngest Inuzuka sibling.

“Ino?” Kiba’s voice called from behind her door, “Are you alright?”

She didn’t want to see him. She wanted to pound his face into dust. She wanted kiss him. She wished she could love him. She wanted to hate him…

But all she had was an empty feeling that she could immediately identify as envy. Ino found herself jealous of the canine specialist because out of all the people she so desperately wanted to be with, he took it for granted. Gritting her teeth, Ino snapped, “I’m fine.”

A while later, when the hot water had become tepid, Ino snapped herself out of her reverie and turned off the water. She stood dripping in the porcelain tub, wondering how deep she had gotten herself into the boys’ mess and how the hell she was going to get out of it. Wrapping a towel over her head like a turban, she shrugged into her lush bathrobe which hung on a peg on the back of the door. A glance at the mirror showed only a good soaking from the shower, her skin was dusted a rosy color while her thick, long eyelashes were clumped together in the damp.

It was late and she was suddenly tired. She had expended most of her chakra reserves, had drank enough to make her senses dull and on top of that, she was exhausted. Throwing open the door, Ino couldn’t meet the two men’s faces as she shrugged out of the robe and towel and slid under the covers. They sat at the edge, watching her as she snuggled against the pillows.

“Ino?” Shikamaru asked, he had pulled on his pants sometime during her shower but still sat side by side with a very naked Kiba.

“Yes, Shikamaru?”

“What’s wrong?”

She had forgotten that despite his selfish and lazy ways, he was a very empathic person. Not to mention, he had been her friend since before graduating from the academy. Sighing, Ino pushed away her water slogged blonde hair and patted the mattress. “Shikamaru, will you just shut up for once?”

“Not until you tell me what’s wrong.”

“Hold me.”

“You know I can’t” He whispered, sounding pained and full of regret.

“Then there you go; you know what’s wrong.” She said lightly, trying to ease the painful knot in her throat.

The mattress shifted subtly as he stood up. “This was a mistake. I knew she’d ask for too much.” His words were careless and pierced her heart as he spoke them. She tried not to flinch as he went on, “Typical Ino; Always wanting more than what she has on her plate.”

“Stop it, Shikamaru.” Kiba stood and put a hand on his shoulder, “She doesn’t deserve this.”

“You are so troublesome, Ino. You always have been.” The shadow-nin growled before trudging out the door.

Kiba stood, staring at the space Shikamaru had vacated. He listened as the Shikamaru left, slamming the door behind him. He found himself torn between racing after his lover and consoling the silent woman lying on the bed at his side. He reached down, grabbing his pants as he tried to figure out what to do.

“Ino, don’t let his words bother you.”

“I’ve known him since we were both in diapers, Kiba. He spoke what he believed was the truth, as he always does—no matter how it hurts.” Her voice was muffled from beneath the covers which she was buried in, “You better go say bye to him before he disappears.”

“Disappears?” His heart sank.

She sat up, pushing her hair back from her face, “You mean, you haven’t managed to piss him off yet?” Her jealousy spiked anew.

“No. I guess I haven’t pissed him off to that extent.” Kiba observed, scratching his head, “So what? He just leaves and doesn’t come back for a few days?”

“Yes.”

“That sounds like a very Shikamaru thing to do.”

She frowned, hating the fact that the dog-nin was so accepting, “Why are you still here, by the way? Didn’t I give you what you wanted?”

“As a matter of fact, no you didn’t.” His smile turned predatory as he dropped the article of clothing and crawled across the mattress, straddling her swathed form and pinning her beneath the blankets.

She pushed at his chest, her arms feeling weak from over expending her chakra. “I’m not in the mood, Kiba.”

“Oh?” He whispered against the side of her face, his lips brushing against her cheek.

“Please, just leave me alone.” Ino pleaded weakly, trying to turn on her side so that she could present him with her back.

He pushed her shoulder back down on the mattress and ran his mouth along her neck, tasting the tang of her soap. “I can’t.” Kiba admitted, his hands pushing away the thick comforter, baring her flesh to his eyes and the cool night air. “I won’t.”

“Stop playing games, Kiba. I know the only reason why you are interested in me is because of Shikamaru.”

“Initially, yes,” He said against one breast as he cupped the other one and gently kneaded it in his long fingers.

She tried to keep herself from arching into his touch by burying her fingers into the pillow behind her head. “Well then stop doing this to me. Aren’t you afraid that I might ask for more than what you are willing to give?”

“How do you know what I am and am not willing to give, Ino?” He asked, despite the smirk that decorated the handsome curves of his mouth, there was a serious note in his voice.

“Stop messing with me.” She snapped, her anger piercing the pleasure that wrapped her overtaxed brain. She shoved him with a new found strength, her hands slapping at his bare chest. He rolled away from her and stood gazing down at her supine form, his expression unreadable. “Is everything a joke to you, Kiba?”

“Not everything.” He said flatly.

“Well I suggest you take your jokes elsewhere. This, whatever this was, is over and I won’t be a part of it any longer.” Ino’s voice hitched in her throat.

Kiba yanked on his pants and grabbed his shirt as he exited the apartment. He ignored her soft sobs, which were painfully loud to his oversensitive hearing as he slammed the door closed and padded down the hallway with sandals and shirt in hand. “We screwed up, Shika.” He muttered to the still being that stood at the side of the door, shrouded in shadow.

Breaking away from the darkness to stand in the yellowish streetlight, Shikamaru crammed his hands in his pockets and contemplated his friend’s frank comment. “It could have been handled with a bit more finesse.” He admitted cautiously, laying no blame.

“She was shocked when you called out my name instead of hers.” Kiba said softly, his eyes scanning the dark street that stretched across the village.

“I figured…” He murmured.

“Do you think she’s jealous?”

“I wouldn’t doubt it. It’s a womanly emotion and this is Ino, after all.”

--

She had gotten out of bed at the crack of dawn and shrugged into her jounin regalia. Chuunin vest in hand, Ino wandered down the street in search of something to take her mind off of last night’s events. In other words, Ino was trying to shake the overwhelming guilt that had plagued her since she woke up that morning.

Looking up from her sidewalk meanderings, Ino found herself in front of a park that had a nice set of swings. Unable to recall the last time she had ever been on a swing, the blonde settled down on it and grasping the chains. She dragged her feet across the damp sand, drawing senseless designs in the sand as she tried not to think about Shikamaru and Kiba.

“Hey, you okay?” A voice called, breaking her thoughts.

Ino blushed and looked up into the face of a sleepy looking Hana, “Hey Hana.” She muttered and tore her eyes away to stare at her sand covered toes.

She settled into the vacant swing, her hand running across the smooth fur of one of her dogs. “You seem like you got something on your mind.”

“That apparent, huh?”

Smirking sloppily, Hana rubbed her face in her dog’s dark ruff. It licked her face softly, before wandering away to his two companions, who lolled about in the early morning sun. “I can all but guess what’s bothering you and I know that I am by no means someone worthy of consoling you, but at the moment I’m all you got. I probably understand better than Sakura-chan what’s happening. Not to mention, I’d bet my lucky limb that it’s got something to do with the runt,” The runt being her brother, of course.

Ino gripped the chains and leaned back, kicking her feet out until she felt herself swaying in the fulcrum of her legs’ weight. “Shikamaru called out his name.”

“Oh?” Lifting an eyebrow, Hana asked, “And this is a problem why? I assume, giving the circumstances of the situation that Shikamaru was fucking Kiba?” Elegant, yet not. Her words cut to the heart of the matter with a ruthless efficiency that belied her jokester attitude.

Ino stuttered as she tried to think of an answer to that, finding herself feeling sheepish with the way the other woman had worded the question. “Yes but… I was there.”

“What do you mean?”

Swinging higher, she tilted her body so that she could watch the sky from beneath her feet, “You know what the Yamanaka clan can do, right?”

“Vaguely and I think with that, I understand a little bit of what happened.” Hana chuckled, “I’m sure that your predecessors had this in mind when they created the jutsu.”

“Let’s just say I hope my dad doesn’t find out or I will be getting an ass kicking of mythic proportions.” Ino chuckled, keeping the momentum of her swing up. The smile slid off her face as Shikamaru’s voice yelled through her mind a name she wished was hers. She swung on, letting the squeaking chains fill up the thoughtful silence. “I don’t know if I love him or not but if there was anyone that I would sooner fall in love with, it’s him.”

“Who are we talking about? Shikamaru-kun or Kiba?”

“Shikamaru.” She felt silly admitting it but she felt compelled to add, “I mean, I’ve been with him since we were kids—even before we became genin. It’s always been Me, Chouji and Shikamaru. Always the three of us just as it had been dad, Nara-san and Akimichi-san, and our grandparents before us.”

“Well, I’ll tell you that Shikamaru has been with my brother for a long time. I’m sure that he has feelings for you otherwise he wouldn’t have invited you into his little thing with my brother.” One of the three dogs in her group lifted its head and twitched its ears back as if listening to something. It stood and wandered towards its mistress, setting its large head in her lap. “Kiba has been very protective of Shikamaru, despite the fact that he’s a complete horn dog.”

“You mean he’s been sleeping with other people beside Shikamaru?”

“Well of course.” Hana snickered, “Kiba is worse than I am. Only thing is, he seems to keep around him a close friend that consistently visits his bed. From what I’ve heard of the people that Kiba has been with, he’s a pretty good lay.”

Ino snorted, “Seriously, it’s creepy that you even know so much about your bother’s sex life.” Beginning to feel dizzy, she stopped swinging and let herself slow down.

Hana gave her a wolfish grin as her hands ran across the broad furry skull of one of her dogs, “I know everything about my brother. We are a very close clan, Ino. Unfortunately, the only things I know of what goes on between Shikamaru-kun and the runt is that they definitely do have sex with one another. Kiba can get… vocal… sometimes.”

“What does this have to do with Shikamaru calling out Kiba’s name?” Ino asked, bringing the woman back from her digression in the conversation.

She chuckled, “Shikamaru has been seeing Kiba for a long time, so it’s only obvious that the two of them are very accustomed to one another. Don’t you think it’s weird for them that they have added another person to the fray, and a teammate no less? On top of that, a female teammate?”

Had they found it odd? Ino dragged her toes through the sand to stop her pendulous momentum. She stared at her feet as they buried themselves in the gritty soil, her mind mulled over the events of the past two days. She tried to remember anything that would portray their discomfort. Nothing surfaced. “They didn’t seem too uncomfortable.”

The dog in her lap growled and rolled its eyes towards the blond. Hana chuckled and interpreted its noises, “He asks, ‘Why would they show their discomfort? They are shinobi after all.’”

“Point taken.” Ino muttered, inwardly kicking herself for not realizing it on her own. “I suppose I’ve acted like a downright bitch to them.”

Another of the canine trio lifted its head and yapped. Hana grinned, “She says that you should watch your choice of words. She might get offended.”

“Sorry. No offence meant.” Ino smiled, lifting up a hand in apology.

The female regarded her with eerie golden eyes before lowering her head back down on her front paws. Hana smiled at the dog in her lap before moving it away and standing. “I’m going for chow. Wanna come?”

“Sure.” She stuffed her hands in the pockets of her chuunin vest, inadvertently mimicking Shikamaru’s coveted stance, “I don’t have anywhere I need to be. Not for a while, anyways.”

“Kay. My house for steak and eggs?”

“Sounds good.” Ino smiled as she fell into step beside Hana, “But don’t you have better things to do that hang out with one of your little brother’s friends?”

She shrugged, “Not really. Besides, you are a hell of a lot more entertaining than Shikamaru. And better looking, too.”

Blushing, Ino murmured, “Thanks.”

They cut through the park and across a street. Through a narrow alleyway, Ino was trying to keep from stepping in anything that would have soiled her sandals when hands grabbed her arms and pushed her against a grimy wall. Her ninja reflexes kicked in and she grabbed a hand, while her fingers fished out a kunai and pressed it against Hana’s neck. She stared up into dark eyes and didn’t move as petal soft lips brushed against hers. With an exploratory flick of her tongue, Hana slid a hand through blonde hair and freed it from the confines of her ponytail. The kunai fell away from shocked fingers and strangely, Ino found herself responding to the canine kunoichi’s touch.

A soft moan fell from the older woman’s lips as Ino was pinned against the wall by hips that covered hers and a leg that slid between her knees. Ino melted into the other woman’s touch, aroused by the suddenness of it all. Hana’s hand slid over one heavy breast, fingers gently rubbing at the peaks that jutted through the fabric of her top. As her mouth ran hotly down the side of Ino’s pale neck, she heard the blonde murmur, “Someone… might see.”

“If that’s all you are concerned about…” Hana whispered against her neck, nipping lightly at the thudding pulse beneath her flesh before continuing blazing a trail of busses down her throat, “… then who cares? Its early morning… and my dogs will alert me if someone comes.” The hand buried in her flaxen tresses disentangled itself and slid down the length of her straining body, slipping beneath her skirt.

Was it wrong for her to be doing this? Ino asked herself but as fingers sought out and found the apex of her thighs, the answer was drowned out by waves of pleasure crashing across her nerves. Rocking her head back, she felt her hair stick to the wall but she didn’t care. Ino whimpered softly and found her lips coveted by the wanton mouth of her kunoichi. “I can see why he likes you.” She thought she heard the other woman say as her humming senses intensified. A finger slipped past the soaked barrier of her panties and into her quivering entrance. Another whimper ripped from her mouth, smothered by Hana’s. The finger worked like a piston as the heel of her hand ground against the center of nerves nestled just above her entrance.

Clutching at the back of Hana’s neck to keep from sliding down the wall and into the puddle she was standing in, Ino twitched her hips forward. She had begun to arch herself off of the stale bricks, grinding against her working hand as their mouths clashed heatedly. Panting breaths mingled and Ino’s free hand slipped beneath the woman’s shirt, pushing it up and bearing one smooth, soft breast. Capturing it in her mouth, she sucked roughly at it until a hoarse moan ripped from the Vet-nin’s lips. She let go of her tenuous grasp around Hana’s neck and ran her knuckles across the inside curve of her breast, down the subtle swell of her hip where she hooked her thumb in the waist of her pants. Feeling silky smooth flesh against the knuckle of her thumb, Ino slid her fingers across her abdomen and dipped beneath Hana’s waistline.

Emboldened by her own passion, Ino grinned against the length of her tanned neck as her fingers brushed against her soaked heat. She smiled again before claiming Hana’s mouth. The kiss turned into a battle for dominance, while fingers damaged the straining grasps each had on their self-control. A soft, rattling moan fell from Ino’s lips and she rocked her hips forward to grind against Hana’s hand.

“Ino” Hana moaned, grinding against her fingers as the first wave of her orgasm washed over her. Her breath hitched in her throat and she tore away from Ino’s mouth to breathe in raggedly.

“Al-almost!” Ino cried, clutching hard against the back of the kunoichi’s neck as she came hard against her hand.

Ino slid down the wall and squatted against it, her bottom hovering dangerously close to an oily puddle. Her head seemed too heavy on her neck and so, she dropped down to stare at her feet which were grimy from the muck she had been standing in. Letting the comforting heat of her release wash over her, she brought her fingers to her lips and tasted the slickness that covered them. Her eyes traveled the supple lines of the other kunoichi’s body until finally they rested on her face.

“They didn’t take care of you last night, did they?” The woman grinned, hunkering down in front of the blonde.

Ino pushed away from the wall, balancing on the balls of her feet and coming face to face with the beautiful dog-nin. “No,” Looping her arms around Hana’s neck, she kissed her smiling lips softly and said, “Thanks for the great breakfast.” She knew that it wasn’t right what she had just done but her conscience didn’t seem to be bugging her.

“It’s not finished yet. Now you get to come back to my place and have steak and eggs.” Hana chuckled, pulling out of the circumference of Ino’s pale arms to stand. “I find that cuming always leaves me hungry. You coming?”

“Of course.”

“Maybe you can get some tail while you are at it.” Hana laughed, “The boys are over at the house right now.”

Ino smiled, suddenly eager to see ‘the boys’ as Hana had called them.

Kiba was sitting in the dining room, eating cereal out of a bowl and watching TV when the two kunoichi entered. Ino was not surprised by the lack of Shikamaru but Hana was perplexed.

“I thought the two of you were here.” Hana asked as she got together the necessities to cook both herself and Ino some breakfast.

Looking up from his food, his dark gaze slid from his sister to Ino. The blonde settled herself in an empty chair beside the young man, folding her hands in front of her. “No, Shikamaru said he had a mission.”

“I see.” The eldest Inuzuka muttered, throwing a dollop of butter into a hot skillet.

Kiba reached out and snatched one of Ino’s hands, bringing it to his nose he sniffed. His eyes raked across Ino’s face before he dropped the hand and stood with a disgusted look on his face. “I expected more of you, Ino.” He said before dropping his dishes in the sink and stalking out the door.

“Oh damn.” Hana muttered, peering out the kitchen window where she could see her brother walking quickly through the garden and out the back gate. “He didn’t take that too well, did he?”

Ino cursed as she stood up and made to chase after the young man. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

“I have to.”

“No you don’t.” The blonde kunoichi was pushed back down into the chair, a glass of orange juice set down in front of her. “You’ll just make things worse. Let him sit down and think it out. He’ll eventually come to his senses. That or Akamaru will let him see it.” Hana smiled as she dropped meat and eggs into the hot pan. Ino nodded before getting up from the kitchen table and pulling out dishes that were needed for food.

A knock at the door brought the women out of their domestic bliss. Hana handed Ino the spatula before opening it. “It’s for you, Ino.”

Trading off the utensil again, the blonde found herself face to face with both Hinata and Neji. “What’s up?”

“You are summoned for a mission.”

She wished she could complain but she bit back the urge with a smile to the vet-nin. “Sorry, guess I’ll have to take a rain cheque on breakfast, Hana.”

“No problems.” The woman smiled, “I’ll tell Kiba you had to go.”
