-Morning-

Sasuke stirred in bed, having a nightmare. He woke up, panting. It was early in the day, Sasuke heard a pan sizzling. Lady Doushi must be awake. He got out of bed and stretched. He heard the door next to him open. ‘Sakura must be up.’ He thought.

He went his door an opened it, and stopped. Hojoshi was apologizing to Sakura. His mother took that time to leave that room. Hojoshi was holding Sakura’s hand. Sasuke felt irritated by that. He lean closer to hear their conversation.

“Sakura,…I’m sorry for what I have done to you.” He apologized.

“Hojoshi…” Sakura paused. “I don’t care, as a shinobi, I refused to have emotions on missions.”

Hojoshi gave a small smile, “As I expected from a strong ninja.” He let go of Sakura’s hand.

Sakura was silent, Hojoshi got up, and went to work. The food Lady Doushi prepared for them was prepared, she gave everyone a plate. Sasuke left to wake up Ino. Sakura sat down, and waited for Ino to come to breakfast.

Sasuke knocked on Ino’s, lightly. Then he knocked harder, he was getting impatient. Instead, he just walked in, he saw a figure in bed with a pillow over her head. He went to her bed and shook her. She didn’t stir. Sasuke couldn’t believe what he was going to do, he kissed Ino on the cheeks.

Ino’s eyes shot open. ‘How disgusting.’ Sasuke grimaced in his head. “Morning.” Ino smiled. “Morning Sasuke.” Ino sat up. “Time for breakfast.” Ino got out of bed, and out the door with Sasuke. Where she was greeted by her friend.

Breakfast was silent, just like yesterday. After they finished, Sakura and Ino helped clean the dishes. “Thank you girls.” She bowed. Sasuke eyed her, ‘There goes the bowing again, something’s up.’ He thought. They concentrated on the mission, they tried to track down the thief’s headquarter. Apparently, they should of asked him before they knocked him out. They sighed. “Maybe we could visit the cellar he was locked in.” Ino suggested.

Sakura found the station where they kept the thief. “How may help you?” The ninja guarding the gate asked. They asked if the recent thief was kept at this station. He nodded and let them in. “Your time is limited, watch out, he’s a little crazy since he was brought here.”

The three ninjas sat in front of the man. “Who sent you?” It was Sasuke’s question. He gave an evil smile. “Haha, nothing in the world will make me tell you.” Sakura then got up. “Just tell us, and we won’t kill you.” Ino was only a little shocked at Sakura’s words.

Soon, he confessed. “I was set up by fraud royal family. A one who plays tricks,” Sasuke interrupted, “We don’t have time for your silly riddles. Who sent you?” The thief grimaced, “You really want to know? I’ll tell you who it is, its-” The ninja guard came in, “Times up, please exit this way.”

Ino jumped out of her chair and turned around. “No! Please, we need to stay a little longer.”

“Follow me please.” He said, unchanged.

“Could we have just a few more minutes, we need something from him.” Sakura pleaded.

“I’m sorry, your time is up.” Motioning to follow.

“But-” Ino started.

“If you don’t come, I’ll have to throw you in here too! Now, come.” He screeched.

Ino folded her arms across her chest, “How rude of him.” Sakura agreed. They thought about what the thief had said, all sorts of information were pouring in. Ino pulled Sasuke’s and Sakura’s arms to a teas shop, to clear their heads. Everyone ordered what they want.

They drank their tea, Sakura was first to say something. “So, all we need to know is, the royal families here, we track them down, and see what we can find.” Ino smiled, “You’re right Sakura! Isn’t she Sasuke?” Sasuke was staring at Sakura, he thought about the night before. He came back to reality when Ino shook him, “Yeah…uh. Right.”

Sakura was thinking about Hojoshi, how he really felt sorry. She felt ashamed to not accept his apology. Ino and Sasuke were also writing some things down, Sakura got up and got the check. “We’re leaving?” Ino asked. “Come on Ino. We have to complete this mission, I need to do more training with Tsunade if I don’t retrieve the treasure.” Ino sighed.

They went back to the Doushi’s home, Sakura went back to her room, Sasuke and Ino went to find the royal families around. “You sure don’t want to go?” She was startled by Sasuke’s voice behind her. Sakura continued to work at the desk provided for her.

“Yeah, I have many things to handle here.” Sasuke bent down to one side of Sakura’s cheek and kissed it, “Ok…” He walked out the room. Sakura was blushing, she touched her cheek where Sasuke kissed her.

Sakura finished her work at the house, at the same time, Hojoshi came back. Sakura tried to avoid him, and without looking back, “Sakura, let’s go for a walk.” Sakura looked at Hojoshi, and she gave a slight nod. She surely wasn’t going to enjoy the walk, was she? Sakura was startled again, Hojoshi took her hand.

They walked and talked. Sakura forgot about her apology, “Hojoshi, I’m sorry about what happened, I forgive you.” He looked at her, and gave a slight smile.

Sasuke and Ino checked every royal family in the village, but it was no help. The information they gather was quite useless. Some information helped, and Sasuke and Ino had to figure the rest out. But, as they were about to leave, the old man that Sasuke help came running to them.

“Young man! Please help me! Another heir treasure was stolen!” Ino rolled her eyes, “I’m sorry, but the family…” Sasuke interrupted. “You’re the family that the family treasure was stolen from?” He nodded. Ino gasped. They’ve been tricked.

The old man was walking awfully slow, so Sasuke pick him up and jumped to his house. “What did the perpetrator look like?” The old man explained. “To be exact, there were two, one tall, and the other one a little shorter.” Sasuke had solved the mystery. He told Ino and the man to stay put.

Sasuke then jumped all the way to the Doushi’s house, it was bare! Just as he expected, he bent down and hit the floor. It was hollow. He then went back all the way back to Ino. “Do you know where the two went?” He asked. He pointed the way towards the wood, Sasuke then grabbed Ino and headed toward the wood, Sakura would be there, and so would the thieves.

Sakura and Hojoshi were still holding hand. “Hojoshi? Where are you taking me?” She giggled. He was leading her into the woods. He was smiling. Then he stopped, “You know you’re special to me right?” Sakura didn’t know what to say, she didn’t know if his question was true. First, he kissed another woman, and then second of all, now he started to act as if he love her, what is she to say?

“I-” She was then cut off, horrifyingly startled. Hojoshi was kissing her. She didn’t expect her kiss to be so uncomfortable, especially when its her first. She had saved it for Sasuke, but what was the point now?

Hojoshi wrapped his arms around Sakura’s waist, pulling her closer. He then pulled out a kunai knife, almost touching Sakura’s back. He smiled in his kiss.

Sasuke hoped he wasn’t going to be too late. At last they arrived. Sasuke and Ino were horrified at the view of Sakura and Hojoshi kissing. Ino’s eyes widen, “Sasuke,” She whispered. “Hojoshi has a kunai behind Sakura’s back, if he and Sakura pulls back, Sakura gets stabbed.”

Sasuke thought of a plan. Ino nodded and vanished to the other side until Sasuke gave the signal. Sasuke was going to jump out of the bush, and call Sakura’s attention, Ino then throw a kunai knife at the knife behind Sakura’s back, and prevent injury.

Sasuke jumped out of the bushes. “Sakura!” Sakura quickly turned to see Sasuke, just as Ino hit the kunai out of Hojoshi’s hand, and jumped out of the bushes too. Sakura was furious. She saw Hojoshi, enjoying her pain of betrayal. “You bastard! Why do intend to kill me?!” Hojoshi smiled, just as the two thieves appeared.

Sakura was confused. Ino came to her side, “They aren’t royal,” Sakura was still confused. “They? Who’s they?” Ino sighed. “Look at them, the thieves are the Doushis! They aren’t royal, remember, back at the station. The thief said, ‘I was set up by fraud royal family. 'A one who plays tricks.’ They are the frauds.”

Sakura understood. She was disgusted when she remember Hojoshi, sharing laughs with her. “Answer my question!” Sakura yelled. Hojoshi looked away. “I, we, intended to kill you because, we knew how easy it was to trick you, you’re strong in head, but not in tricks and illusions. We never wanted you guys to find out, so we had to destroy the brain of the group.” He laughed, evilly.

Sakura charged at him, blood spat out of him. “You disgust me.” Hojoshi fell, but not dead. His parents removed their masks. “Where are they? Where are the treasures you stole?” Sakura questioned.

“Why would we tell you?” They said, helping up their son.

Sasuke and Sakura were behind the two parents, with kunai knives at their necks. “We are tired, we are high in combats, it doesn’t take us this long to complete an easy mission like this.”

The Doushis were sweating. “We know, you’re good at tricks, but weak in strength.” Ino challenged.

“Even if we tell you, we will continue our plans.” Said the father.

Hojoshi manage to look up a little. "I'll come back Sakura, I will escape..." He continued coughing out blood from the punch.

Sasuke was thinking of something else. They got the treasure, and took the Doushi to the station. “It looks like, because of the Doushi’s attempt to steal, and kill to steal, they will recieve a long time in here.” Said the ninja. Sakura felt twisted inside.

After they left they head toward the old man’s house. They walked together, happily enjoying their walk. Nothing seemed to be wrong anymore. When they arrived, he was standing on his porch, smiling. “Thank you. Thank you very much.”

They looked at the signature on the antique. It had a royal stamp, they should of know! Sasuke carried Ino back to the Leaf village, Sakura walked on her own feet.

-Tsunade's office-

"I see you might need more training Sakura." Tsunade said. Sakura gave a little blush. Sasuke loved it when Sakura blushed, but he didn't show it. Sakura nodded. "You two may be excused." Ino and Sasuke a quick bow and left. Sakura and Tsunade made an appointment for another training, a qualification skill needed from Sakura.

"Don't be worried Sakura. You did nothing wrong." Tsunade said. Sakura was feeling uneasy. "Ok, I understand." She left and went home.
